TL;DR
RoN Warlock Set
The Root of Nightmares (RoN) Warlock armor set has been consistently highlighted as one of the top choices for Warlocks. Its distinctive silhouette and extra appendages make it stand out from other sets [1:1]. Many players consider it among the best Warlock sets in the Destiny franchise
[1:2].
Taken King Sets
The Taken King armor sets have received admiration for their aesthetic appeal across all classes. Players enjoy the Hive Knight look that complements certain weapons like Lament with the Logic ornament [1:5]. These sets are noted for their strong visual impact and versatility
[1:7].
VoG (Vault of Glass) Sets
Vault of Glass armor sets are frequently mentioned as favorites by players across different classes. They are appreciated for their classic design and nostalgic value, making them a staple choice for many [5:1],
[5:3]. The VoG sets continue to be a popular choice due to their iconic status within the game.
Other Notable Sets
Several other armor sets have been highlighted for their unique features and style. The Dark Age sets from Warlord's Ruin are favored by players who prefer a more traditional look [1:11]. Additionally, the Desolate set, known as the Taken armor, is another popular choice, especially when paired with specific cloaks like the Solar Flayer
[5:2].
When selecting armor, players often prioritize aesthetics alongside functionality, choosing sets that align with their personal style and gameplay preferences.
RoN's Warlock chest takes the cake for me. Genuinely unique silhouette from our collection and I love extra appendages.
The Dark Age sets from Warlord's Ruin are much more my style than everything else we've had this year.
Pretty much the case for me although I don't have that set myself yet, it's the same deal as the majority of the Deep Explorer/Hakke set minus the helmet there as my preference is grounded looks (like the Division) unless I'm going for an Armored Knight which there aren't too many options for in D2, fantasy armor just isn't my thing.
I regret choosing Warlock as my main class back in D1 because the Trench-coat look in the long run have ended up being the exceptions in favor of "dresses" or fantasy looks, would of rather been a Titan for both mechanics and looks in hindsight.
The Hunter cloak is just absolute peak.
Been loving using the warlock gauntlets with the Witcher robes, they have the same squared-but-slightly-rounded metal plates and the fur is very similar
I love the robes for warlock, I always pair it with my swarmers fashion
The warlock robes are hard to beat
Been loving the taken king set immensely. I rock Lament with the Logic ornament a lot so it helps give that hive knight titan look
The taken king set goes hard on all 3 classes.
Looks too flat on Warlock imo
Thank you! The only issue is no exotics go well with it.
Shinobu's Vow, Assassin's Cowl's new ornament, the og ornament on Liar's Handshake
How does the new ornament for Assassin’s Cowl look with it?
Have you tried oathkeepers?
Maybe the shinobou’s vow ornament (idk if that’s all spelled correct lol
1 > 3 > 4 > 2, first one is really cool though i'd probably look for other chest piece
Gotcha, any recommendations for the chest?
Idk, but the shader is great, so i would just preview every other chest with this shader, that's how i usually do fashion hehe. I'll probably even take this look if you are fine with that :)
Given that a set is like....15 bucks or whatever, I'd say PERSONALLY hell no to it, but I Luckily got it from the season pass back in the day so I don't have to buy it. Though honestly, I'd say it ain't worth it for 15 bucks
Is the Season of the Undying really worth it?
No seasonal armor is worth 15 bucks when it was part of a season for 10. And don't forget all the additional stuff that season pass would have given you like ghost, sparrow, emotes, and shaders all for 10 bucks. Bringing back seasonal armor in this way is nothing but a shameless con!
No exotic makes it a no for me. But if you fit an exotic in then 1 would be the best. I like the look of all but the purple one.
You should try starting out with your exotic of choice then building your drip around it, it's far easier than trying to find an exotic to slot in to an existing fit.
100% subjective so in short, the one you like the most
Mine is the rough chain and fur which isnt even tier 6
Agreed, I don't even spend too much thought on it really. I usually just wear whatever best "legendary" or "lordly" shit I can find in battles. My current character looks like a mismatched armor Michelin man
I was stoked when I found a legendary piece that happened to have better stats than the base cataphract armor so I could wear something different than the usual best piece. But ya along the way the mishmash is fun
I love when redditors shut the fun discusion
The Khuzait one with the golden mask
The one you like the most
The one you like the most
I have a really ugly-looking armor set. I wanted to get a good-looking one, but the only ones I found were either too heavy or just as ugly.
I’m a sucker for the Elite Knight set, it’s a classic.
Oh, I love the look of that armor, especially the blue accents, but it’s too heavy—at least that’s what I noticed when I wore it.
Havell armor 🗿
Sounds like a early-game build issue.
Use ring of favor and protection and havels ring, level endurance.
Elite Knight set is a 'Medium' armour set, so it's not a very heavy set. But for amrour, you need to build.
More points for the light and flowy Dingy Robe haha
Wanderer looks sick as hell on female characters.
I like the Wanderer chest and hood, and the Knight pants and gloves (that's the Knight not the Elite Knight). It still looks like the full Wanderer's set at first glance, but gives +13 Poise, which is just enough (with the Wolf Ring) to hit a Poise breakpoint for PvP.
Naked with a sack over your head. Mildred drip = best drip. Bonus points if using a disproportionately large weapon.
I will go for the silver knight one that looks the coolest
An excellent choice.
It is fairly heavy, so you'll want to anticipate that if you're thinking about your build.
Paladin set ofc. Second place goes to Brass set
I really liked the Crota's End set and the Iron Lords armor the best.
They were all pretty excellent, do you have a favorite?
VoG for everyone, but also the OG titan trials set. Love that so much I made sure to get it in d2
I didn't play alot of PVP in D1 but I did have a chance to play a few times, even went flawless once.
I didn't include my D1 Trials armor in the video because i don't have any full sets, the video I did make I had to use other pieces to fill in the gaps.
opened a bunch of silver dust vanguard engrams on my warlock and got that chestpiece that doesn’t have a dress, absolute game changer
Wait which is that?
Nerigal savant iii But I believe you have to be a female character for it to not have the robes
yeah i wanna know now
The srl Titan armor
Ah man… there’s so many. I don’t there is a set in D1 that I don’t like. Some of my favs:
Titan: Dead Orbit’s Exodus/Oblivion set, any of the raid sets, especially VoG, Jovian Guard, Kallipolis from New Monarchy
Hunter: Bog Wild, VoG set, any Trials set, Neuroghast
Warlock: VoG set (I think there’s a pattern going on here 🤔), Spektar, Rimed, any Trials set, Nerigal Savant, Eclipse Maw
Armor doesn't matter much as stacking Med-X, Slasher and Battle Brew cap DR, so light armor is better due to no sneak and movement speed penalty. Ulysse's Duster with the 1st recon beret and lucky shades or Atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator to recover HP when resting.
Weapons: Thermic Lance, upgraded Gatling Laser, Christine CoS Rifle, upgraded LAER, upgraded Fat Man/Esther depending how much you value weight. MF Hyperbreeder Alpha & Blood-Nap as holdout weapons. Hard to limit to 7 in a game with so many amazing weapons but those definitely stand out for me.
My last melee build also ended up at the higher levels back to light armor so you could be more fast. Once your sneak is high enough you don't need heavy armors no more. But heavy is still useful to protect my human companions.
So even melee ended up with Ulyssee's Duster, the lucky shades and one of the Beast armor head gears.
As for weapons throughout the whole game, the seven would be
Chance dagger, Love and Hate, Fist of the North Rawr - that was the best one, the Katana with Mods, Bloodnap, and perhaps Gehanna (although I didn't like the flames too much)
As a seventh I would say one of the power fist types but they were all a bit average. Most are kinda slow in attack and have a very small range. So I missed enemies a lot. Some even have effects that make it even more chaotic like Pushy or Balistic fists. The best ones were Greased lighting for the ultra fast attack, and the industrial hand. But in Dead Money I did use the Bear trap quite a lot.
Any. Any more.
The Advanced LAER with Max Ammo is nuts.
That's only if you wanna be a druggie tho, some people simply don't do chems
The Stealth armor. Because nobody loves you more. Other armors may be more resistant, others may give light armor bonuses, but none of them will remind you that you left your Pip Boy light on. No other armor will hang in the closet sobbing quietly because you decided to wear big clumsy power armor.
And get a gauss rifle to go with, or a silenced pistol. That's pretty much everything you need
No other week sir? What?
It's a Swype thing. Corrected.
Equitables? Maximum 7 weapons combination no specific types? What the fuck are you even trying to say 🤣🤣
There are 7 hot-keyable slots for equipment. They’re basically asking for most powerful armor and up to 7 weapons to use throughout the whole game if one had to choose
Forgot to mention perks don’t matter for this debate
Elite Riot Gear with First Recon Beret. For weapons Survivalist Rifle, Medicine Stick, A Light Shining in Darkness, Riot Shotgun, Blade of the West, Christine's Sniper Rifle, Proton Inversal Axe.
I have all armors but i cant determine which is the best one, someone help a brother out!
Best in terms of durability is ultimate defense armor or black dragon armor but if you want faster movement speed or jump height veteran armor fs
Vet armor is the best armor in the armory. Ruby devision armor is the best armor ingame. Vet armor has the same durability as the other high tier armors + better speed.
I love the Black Knight Armor because it reminds me of Skyrim’s Ebony Mail plus the Divine Beast Helm lets you cosplay as a Khajiit.
“Warms sands” and all that.
As soon as i found full crucible armor. I havent taken it off
I'm pretty sure it's slightly worse overall than Tree Sentinel but both are pretty even when you account for the crucible incant buff
I wantee to wear that armor, but it ended up being just too heavy. I also don't use incantations, so that part of the crucible armor is useless to me
And it slightly helps with holy damage resistabce against him too funnily enough
Had no idea. I just wear it because its the beefiest armor i can wear with my weapons before i heavy roll.
That first armour arrangement did not need to go that hard. Drip so tough that it alone drops Radahn's health by 50%.
The shield is what makes it imo. Blue to go with Blaidds cloak and also a big shield to compliment the bulkier look.
Yeah that's the best I've seen on here in a minute.
+1 for using an actually good-looking shield, instead of the Brass Dorito
love that helmet with nights cav
What weapon is that?
I'm partial to the Faraam set. The armor is badass, I love the teal cloth with it, and the fur capelet really gives it this refined, but still wild look to it.
100% the best armour they've ever created.
DS2 has so many peak armor sets, Alva set comes to mind as a really nice one
Right armor set, wrong game: DS2's elite armor is easily the best its looked.
Absolutely the truth. No armour set has ever looked better than his.
For me it's the basic knight set with the elite helm
Sorry gonna be basic and say the og fluted set from demon souls, I just love the helmet design.
Same. Something About the simple yet historically accurate armor that makes me keep equipping it
I see your basic fluted set and raise you raging wolf set
Unironically, based Miyazaki said that’s his favorite armor set during a design works interview for DS1
Young Radhan's set is pretty dope and my personal fav, Firelink Set from DS3 is up there as well.
its a good one too but i hate that its not part of like a cool ring kinght boss and instead you have to fight a bunch of those fuckers and steal their pieces of their wardrobe one by one. The firelink set feels "aged, rugged, tormented, has seen all the shit in this shit world, mature" kind vibe.
I never liked 1
but 2 is Perfection
Definitely the first one!
+1 to 1
1
i’m going with 2 cause the colour matches better, fits better with the shoulders better and is just cooler imo
