TL;DR
Final Shape Dungeons
The dungeons from "The Final Shape" expansion are praised as some of the best in the game. They offer relevant loot and a fun experience that many players find superior to previous expansions [1:1]. The weapons from these dungeons, such as the Velocity Baton and Chill Inhibitor, are noted for their strength and utility
[1:3]. While armor aesthetics can be subjective, the Vespers armor sets from these dungeons are highlighted as particularly appealing
[1:2].
Raid Wishlist and Expectations
Players are expressing high hopes for the upcoming Final Shape raid. There is a desire for it to be one of the longest and most challenging raids, potentially featuring multiple encounters with significant lore figures like the Witness and disciples [2:1]. However, there are concerns about practicality, especially regarding coordination and player base engagement if the raid were to expand beyond the traditional six-player format
[2:2].
Current Raid Rankings
In terms of current raid rankings, "Last Wish," "Deep Stone Crypt," and "Garden of Salvation" frequently appear at the top of players' lists [3:3]. Each raid has its unique appeal, with "Garden of Salvation" being praised for its visual design despite some mechanical inconsistencies
[3:1],
[3:5]. "Vault of Glass" also remains a favorite due to nostalgia and iconic loot like Fatebringer
[3:3].
Learning and Teaching Raids
For those looking to learn or teach raids, community resources such as Discord and Reddit's r/destinysherpa provide platforms for finding sherpas and raid groups [4:1],
[4:3]. These communities emphasize camaraderie and shared experiences, making them excellent places for both new and experienced players to engage with Destiny 2's raid content
[4:4].
Dungeon Boss Mechanics
When discussing dungeon bosses, Zoetic Lockset stands out for its engaging mechanics, allowing players to control the encounter flow [5:1]. However, some players find certain bosses overly tanky, which can detract from the overall experience by forcing prolonged engagements
[5:4],
[5:6]. Despite this, dungeons like Warlord's Ruin are celebrated for their mechanics and aesthetic
[5:11].
I’m torn between lightfall and final shape dungeon passes, which one would you all say has the more fun dungeons/better loot? Armor aesthetic would also factor into my decision lol
Final shape dungeons are gold-standard. They might be cheaper too if you can get Final Shape Deluxe Edition on sale. Of the lightfall dungeons, Ghosts of the Deep gets old and tedious very quickly, but Warlord's Ruin is very fun. Both armor sets are great, though. But the Final Shape dungeons are extremely fun and have great weapons. Imo only the Vespers armor sets are good though, but your mileage may vary.
I would say Final shape overall. Warlords is my favorite dungeon of the 4 of them but man is Ghosts of the Deep an absolute slog after the first run or two.
In terms of weapons it is easily Final Shape for me. Velocity Baton with attrition orbs is one of my favorite weapons. It is very strong. Chill Inhibitor is also one of the strongest heavy gls now too. I have only gotten the hand cannon and the trace from the newest dungeon so far but they both feel pretty good.
I would get final shape now, there’s just more people running those dungeons and the loot is s-tier, great guns. People are right that Warlords is awesome, but the newer dungeons are just better value
I’d go with lightfall. Ghosts and Warlords are fun, and they haven’t handled the final shape dungeons well imo
Final shape dungeons are the best in the game and the most relevant loot. So get those first.
Title
I'll go first, basically a mega raid with 12 players and 10 ENCOUNTERS!!
Is it crazy? Absolutely. Would it be sustainable? Probably not.
6 encounters is the witness itself while 3 encounters are 3 disciples who learned from Rhulk and Nezeracs mistakes, and 1 encounter with all three remaining worm gods.
Think about it, they didn't just 24 hour raid day into 48 hours just for "Making sure the raid works." No I hope it's because they want us get used to the idea that the Final Shape Raid is gonna be absolute mayhem.
But one can wish, I may be absolutely wrong
Honestly it’d be very cool to see something like that but also very impractical. With so much of the player base using LFG and the addition of in-game LFG, most people are going to be playing with that. Sometimes LFG is a nightmare with 6 people now, I can hardly imagine coordinating a group of 12. If just one person leaves after a single wipe (which would happen more often with more people) you’d be constantly looking for new ppl.
I can see why this would be really cool to some players, but it really translates into ”Bungie, please spend even more time making content to an even smaller percentage of the player base…”
I do want it to be the longest raid, or at least on par with Last Wish.
I do want the Witness to be the final boss. I would be very disappointed if they were a campaign boss.
Other than that, I don't really care.
For me it is
Mine is
Garden of Salvation
Vault of Glass
Last wish
Deep Stone Crypt
Love me some LW
I like GoS when it isn't bugging out and I don't have to teach
I like DSC because it's easy to understand and gives good guns
VoG exists to give me Fatebringer and Templar farm
GoS when it's buggy is hell, a funny kind of painful
Lol you don't even consider garden a raid it's so bad?
I heard it was terrible and so I’ve never played it…..
One thing I can say is Garden of Salvation looks AMAZING. You should totally try it out
gos is great, would be my favorite raid if there wasn't a few inconsistancies.
GoS - DSC - VoG . I will take GoS over LW anyday
Not sure if this is the right place, but I have been playing Destiny since House of Wolves and always wanted to get bigger into raids. Had a clan that I ran certain raids consistently, and happened to bypass others entirely. Oryx, Crota, and that raid with the Zamboni of death were 3x weekly, as well as a small handful of VoG.
In D2, I did one Last Wish (cheesed it), a million Leviathan, one Spire, one Eater, maybe 2-3 Garden, and 7ish Salvations Edge. I really want to see the other raids that D2 has to offer. Namely, Root of Nightmare, Deep Stone Crypt, and Vow. Are there any communities that still run / teach these older raids? I know there aren’t a lot of “chase items” in these raids that people don’t have.
I have taught plenty of raids in my lifetime as a player in Destiny, and i will teach plenty more. I’ll look into teaching the new raid with the low sodium discord group. Just need to get a handle on every mechanic as i have only done a couple through my clears. But ive done nearly 100 VOG and DSC sherpas (was top 10 in sherpas on raid report in DSC until i retired from it).
In addition to what’s already been said, r/destinysherpa is a great resource as well
Our community comprises over 400 members, including Sherpas from various global locations. We primarily encourage camaraderie and shared experiences. Membership requirements are minimal, only implemented when necessary for specific triumphs or bounties.
Best option is Discord, they have an sherpa channel.
Google destiny 2 discord lfg. It should be the first one. Scroll to the side that says Raid LFG. Find the raid you want. Post that you are looking to learn. Or find a post advertising as a sherpa. There is another group a little further down called general LFG. Find the "find-a-sherpa" you can post there too. You have to be able to listen to their advice and adapt. Don't walk in there and say "I want to use this loadout and I don't care what you think." you're there to learn. Listen to your teacher.
Ive done nearly 300 raids through the LFG. I've taught and been taught. You'll see people complaining that users there are toxic or elitist but I am convinced that those who are complaining were those who refused to listen or were too stubborn to take constructive criticism. In my time in that lfg I can count on one hand how many toxic players I've ran in to. It happens. But in my personal experience it's super rare. People who teach usually do it because they want to and are able to be patient.
Just don't lie and join a post that says KWTD (know what to do) when you've never actually done the raid and just watched a couple videos. Be honest with your experience and it will be very rare someone would treat you poorly.
Hefnd’s Vengeance, Blighted Chimera
Apart from being a tribute to Riven’s fight in Last Wish, the unique setup of short damage phases separated by mechanics and one long one interspersed with jumping means that you don’t have to wait long to damage the boss at any point, and you’re encouraged to really optimize rotations on each and every step.
Only real criticisms are the bad arena on the second floor and the sometimes janky curse transference mechanic
Despite its bugs, Zoetic Lockset stands out because you have full control over the encounter if you know what's going on. You can spawn more ads for cenotaph ammo, you can get rid of all ads. You can have long damage phases, short phases, whatever you want. And on contest it was a pretty tight damage check.... because of its bugs....
Is that Sundered Doctrine? I know I’m around 500’ish clears overall for dungeons — but I have yet to try a run of Sundered Doctrine.
I haven’t even watched a video on it because I wanted to experience it fresh …and then it never happened! lol
Any suggestions on guides or things to prepare for? Thanks!!!!!!!!!
If you know the lore basics then you can speed up the mechanics, if not then it'll take a bit longer
The second boss (Zoetic Lockset) is bugged and doesn't take crit damage. It's programmed similar to Atraks in DSC so a bunch of stuff doesn't really work. No volatile, scorch, jolt, you can only weaken from abilities. If you're a warlock there's a cool spot you can find on youtube to melt the boss with chaos reach. Most people just use Anarchy.
It's a really fun dungeon and the bosses aren't too tough, survivability is key.
Yeah I'd agree with Zoetic, the GotD final boss and the yellow lighting fallen boy. Being up there.
Speaking of sundered doctrine, have they fixed that quest bug yet?
Nope, dungeon boss HP 100% got inflated when spire of the watcher was out. Warlocks had starfire and the well of radiance bug, so we were fine, but the other classes had a lot of trouble with persys HP. Then GotD came out, and the bosses were legit walls of HP...
I'm viewing this from a solo perspective, but this also applies to 3 man groups, too.
I enjoyed all of the dungeon's before the tanky boss shift (Spire of the Watcher marks the shift). Warlord's Ruin is the lone exception--fantastic dungeon. Ghosts of the Deep is everything that's wrong with post-Duality dungeon bosses.
Honestly, the encounters just become boring. You're over-optimizing for DPS, which limits how you can play it, or you're spending HOURS on the fucker.
And it's impossible to take less serious players through.
I'm fine with the tankiness in Spire because it's combined with mechanics that barely out up a fight. It's one of the few dungeons where failing the mechanics can't kill you.
Ghosts of the Deep is just gross when it comes to bosses. Like I think I only ever ran it twice cause the boss encounters just suck
Warlords Ruin, is just peak mechanics and aesthetic all the way through
TL;DR - everyone, of any skill level, can do raids and should give them a try
Howdy y’all. It's been a year since my last post and in that time I’ve managed to get an additional 600 sherpa's, bringing me to a total of 2000 in all raids combined, spread out pretty decently across all of them. If you include folks who needed a refresher, were placed on ads on a previous run, or those who only got a boss checkpoint and don’t know the full raid, that number is quite a bit higher, though as nothing tracks that I can’t give you an exact number.
All that to say, I’ve seen just about everything that can happen in each raid and played with folks of all skill levels. Hopefully that’s enough to back up my words when I say that everyone, and I do mean everyone, can tackle raids and have a good time.
I typically run with 4 or 5 beginners per run, depending on if my partner is online or not. Typically, runs for Vow and King’s Fall take about an hour and a half, Salvation’s Edge takes about three hours, The Desert Perpetual takes about two, and the rest around an hour or less. I do have folks who struggle with jumps go to orbit for friendship doors, to minimize time wasted between encounters and to try and have the beginners’ efforts entirely directed on the encounters. A reasonable chunk of that time is for explanations, but most of it is actually running the encounters. Most folks learn best by doing and can generally get a handle on any given encounter after a few wipes.
With regards to loadouts, there’s arguably never been a better time for beginners to run, as the current meta has Outbreak be a really solid option for just about any encounter. Sure there are loadouts that do more damage, but the most important thing in raids for everyone below the highest echelon of players (speedrunners) is consistency. Using Outbreak means easy and consistent damage, and not having to worry about ammo economy. It also is easily obtainable by anybody from a guaranteed source that takes less than 30 minutes to run.
The only real thing you need to learn raids is the willingness to learn. Find a sherpa, pick a raid, volunteer for roles, and ask questions. That’s it. Making mistakes is part of the experience and any sherpa worth their salt should be more than used to it. Most encounters you’ll find are much more simple than you think once you’re in them. Many of my runs end with folks saying “Oh, that was it? That wasn’t that bad at all.” That’s not to say you can just come in expecting to shoot ads and completely ignore the mechanics, but if you engage with the mechanics you’ll find that the challenge is generally exaggerated.
Raids are the best content in the game, bar none. They are the reason I started playing Destiny in the first place, back in year one D1. The soft-puzzles each encounter presents, the player coordination required, and the satisfaction of yet another raid boss brought low is unrivaled, not just in Destiny, but in any game. I’ve stuck with Destiny through thick and thin specifically because regardless of the state of the rest of the game, raids continue to be the best experiences gaming has to offer. This latest raid, The Desert Perpetual, is a contender for the throne. Each encounter has a unique, fun, well implemented mechanic and has roles for everyone on the team (except for hydra, unfortunately, where I unfortunately have to throw two folks on ads, but it still is perhaps my favorite encounter ignoring that).
If you’ve never touched a raid, I could not make a stronger recommendation to try them out. Vault of Glass, Garden of Salvation, Root of Nightmares, and Deep Stone Crypt are all excellent options for a first raid with beginner friendly mechanics. Salvation’s Edge and Desert Perpetual are two of the best raids ever designed, but are the most mechanically involved, so if you aren’t super confident, it might be worth running a couple other ones first. Though, for those who feel up to the task, they are absolutely doable as a first timer.
You, as you are, regardless of what weapons you have or what stats you have on your armor, are enough to tackle raids. Hell, I’ve been rocking tier 2 armor the whole season and have no plans to get anything better. I haven’t met any sherpa who turns folks down for any reason, though I have met a few who only run checkpoints or just throw beginners on ads, which I’d recommend you avoid. A clear is a clear, but actually learning the raid allows you to be more involved and to run it as many times as you’d like. I cannot overstate how phenomenal raids are. Come join us and see the best Destiny has to offer. You are ready.
Well, this post seems to be aimed straight at me. I've been procrastinating on getting into raids for a while now.
Has some questions though:
Is it possible to get through a raid only using textchat? I have trouble making my mic work with Destiny.
Can I go into the mission blind? Or am I expected to watch guides and memorize all the mechanics beforehand?
Where do I find sherpas? Is there a forum or discord with frequent listings? Or should I just lurk the Fireteam Finder and hope I get lucky?
1st.- Yes its possible, but really difficult to pull off on certain raid encounters where you need call outs, and it becomes quite difficult to write in chat while doing mechanics and for people to read them and understand them while also doing mechanics.
2nd.- If the LFG states newcomers welcome, or says its teaching or is like full of people doing it blind, then yes, but if not you are expected to at least know the basics, don't ever join an LFG that clearly states experience required, and then be like can you teach me, huge no no.
3rd.- Discord is the best place to find LFG, as the in game Destiny 2 LFG has shit tags and sometimes people don't even know what tags to use, like there is no tag for a blind run. But at least is usable, so if you don't have any LFG Discord available, use the in game one and look for teaching tags and learners welcome and such.
There is 2 Discord LFGs. The one that connects your destiny account is bigger (but also is legit). There’s a dude Gideon Ofnir in there that, I swear, runs sherpas for the newest raid essentially ALL DAY. The larger discord also has bots that auto ban people being toxic now, and it has cleaned up a hell of a lot since that happened.
The newest raid still has regular “willing to teach/teaching” parties.
You can go in blind. It does help a bit to watch a video. But honestly, for me, if I don’t experience it myself, the information dump might as well be mumbo jumbo.
Text chat is possible. But to be honest… few Sherpas accept it. Serviceable headsets cost like $20. There’s really no excuse. I have crippling social anxiety. If I can get over it, anyone can.
I’d like to know the Discord for the one that connects my Destiny account.
Edit: Nevermind! I see it in another reply.
Most raids can be done with text chat, but it does make it much harder to communicate when you’re less experienced. It’s generally a good idea to at least watch a video or two so you have the general idea of how it works. And being able to visually see what the mechanics in the raid look like makes the explanations easier to digest. The kinderguardian discord is a good place to find a Sherpa iirc. The other big Destiny discords also have Sherpa channels too I think
-You can do like 99% of raid mechanics through text chat
-Yes, I just took 3 buddies and a knowledgeable rando through their first ever raid (root of nightmares) completely blind and we did most encounters in 3 attempts or less.
-yes, there are discords for Sherpa’s. I’d search them on Reddit or just google, not sure what their exactly called but I was in one a year or two ago
Edit: doing through text chat may require learning callouts either beforehand or on the fly, as some encounters are pretty abstract without assigning names to stuff like locations
As long as you can hear the person teaching then you can do most of the raids with you using text chat to reply.
Easiest raids without mic would be Garden of Salvation, Crotas End, Vault of Glass, and Deep Stone Crypt.
With GoS and CE you can emote to convey you’ve finished a job or are ready but DSC and VoG would need you to type numbers or positions.
Here’s the bigger LFG discord server. It has a dedicated sherpa channel to ask for or help others. https://discord.gg/d2lfg
Smaller LFG https://discord.gg/destiny2lfg
Also r/DestinySherpa
As long as the sherpa is confident then you don’t need to watch guides for any raid.
Great message for everyone! How do you form your sherpa groups? Do you usually just post through DestinySherpa on here? Through Discord? Have a couple of raids I'd love to try but not always sure how to find a teacher to be quite honest!
I run everything through discord. I post up in the D2 lfg server and have my own server I invite folks to where they can request and schedule raids. I have tried the subreddit for sherpa's here, but populations are low, teams are slow to fill, and I haven't been blown away by it or anything. Discord is simple and easy.
Is your server open to join for those wanting to run/learn raids? I've been desperately wanting to run raids (I've done very few due to not having any friends who play), and this post is a light in a dark place.
>Everyone should try them. A lot of people are missing great content by listening to the community saying they’re too hard. They aren’t.
It's not that it's too hard. It just takes too much time. And it feels horrible knowing the game has a large audience, but most of them will never step foot in there, yet that's where all the good stuff is? Terrible. The entire model needs to go away. It feels like World of Warcraft's ghost is haunting Destiny.
I'm not OP but I use only the discord to matchmake, and I do get a decent amount of "unteachables"
I'd say for every single raid I've run since Final Shape that had Discord lfgs, at least 1 of the people was unteachable, usually we'd cycle them out for a harder raid like SE, but for something like VOG, we suck it up and just treat it like a lowman run. Even in the Discord you get people who want to be hard carried.
I stopped playing a couple months after lightfall, so im bit behind. I still use the weapons from when i left such as the osteo striga, taipan, witherhoard, thunderlord, and a random rocket launcher and smg. Im trying to prepare a good loudout in this month before the expansion.
What are you guys bringing to the new raid in the final shape?
What are some good warlock builds to use? I was using the broken starfire build but noticed they got nerfed.
For an actual answer, unless something drastically changes with DPS, the ol' Izanagi swap with Apex predators and Gjallahorn is still gonna be the most consistent thing you could do. For ad clear, run w.e. You clear ads with everything so effectively it doesn't matter. Machine guns are pretty good. So are wave frame GLs.
Things obviously can change depending on the exact scenario, but that should take you through the majority of those scenarios. Unless something comes out that does so much more damage that you're actually cutting down on a damage phase on contest consistently, idk why you'd change it up.
As for team compositions, I'll be doing what my team always does. 2 of each class. Prismatic might be a game changer, it might not be. We don't know the Well nerf, so that's a big mystery.
Thank you for your detailed answer. A couple more questions: Is izanagis catalyst a must? If so, should i just do rockets only for dps? any good machine gun recommendations? Is this season battlepass worth it? good legendary primary recommendations? And for linear fusion rifles is cataclysmic still king?
Again, thank you for taking the time to help me out.
Catalyst is a haaaaard must. You may as well not even use it without it's catalyst.
Commemoration and Hammerhead are top tier. You can also just use Thunderlord for ad clear, it's a beast. Any Machine gun is fine as long as it has the classic Reload/Damage perk combo. I highly value Auto loading (Or reconstruction) over anything so I don't have to reload for 3 seconds.
Battlepass, uhm... No? Unless you want the materials or w.e. I don't think it has anything crazy.
Honestly, w.e you want for primary. Handcannons are pretty strong rn tbh.
Cataclysmic is still king LFR, but LFRs in general are pretty mid. Whisper of the Worm out DPS's all of em.
I hope they destroy well. Everything about that super is just bad game design.
No one knows, prismatic about to drastically change the meta as well as huge balance changes to current weapons and abilities.
Yeah thats a good point. I still want to prepare as much as i can, because ive heard that the raid drops 3 days after the expansion. Thanks for your reply
rat king
Using the Squeaker to beat DSC is a hilarious experience.
Gumption.
Psychological baggage
I've done all D1 raids back in the day. Not much time with a FT job and other duties.
IF i were to assemble a fireteam, what would be the easiest/ best raid to go to? I want to start grabbing them PVE god weapons that i see all the time.
Thanks.
Edit: wow thanks so much everyone. I'm seeing the group voting As VOG (i can see why). I appreciate all the feedback!
If you want to start with an oldie goldie, I'd say VoG. There are minimal changes and it's a pretty simple raid. Crota changes are more noticeable and require fireteam interaction and teamwork.
For the newer raids, RoN is ez pz mechanically, but there it might be more of a damage check than the older raids. Build for deeps.
The only raid I wouldn't suggest is Salvation's Edge. It's been a pain for people who have been raiding non-stop for years. Once you get it, you got it, but getting it is rough and your whole team has to get it. No hard carries in this one.
Deep Stone Crypt is probably the best to learn. It's not hard, everybody gets to do something at some point, it looks great, and it uses mechanics you may already know.
Vault of Glass is also fine
I’ve never done raids either until last week. Completed from start to finish the Root of Nightmares raid with the in game LFG. Idk if you’ve heard anything about the in game LFG but it’s apparently pretty bad. Anyways yeah. Did RoN with LFG, and I gotta say, in my minimal raiding experience I think that might be the easiest raid so far.
Edit: added some words
RON is a strange raid because it lets two people do the whole thing basically while everybody else add-clears. Except the planets encounter.
It’s the one raid that makes me feel important as ad clear 🥹🥲
Root isn’t the easiest because of planets
I watched a fallout video guide on the planets and he made it pretty to understand the planet encounter, at least to me anyway
Vault of glass is easiest
Indeed. The hardest part of vog actually is coordinating the oracles with a bunch of randoms lol
Most ppl solo them these days ngl
One of the best groups I've ever run with is, "Guardians With Jobs." They're great for newbies and people just looking to casually run stuff.
Highly recommend them
Few changes like the oracles having to be shot in order. Still the easiest raid in D2 as long as you have a mic and can tell your right from your left. And can count to 7.
That's all. You would think only the hardcore players and raiders are left at this time but theyre gone.
I have every raid title. Ive been raiding nonstop in Destiny 2 since making a group of friends back in 2018. I have now spent over an hour between LFG discords, and fireteam finder throwing a group together for a normal clear of Garden of Salvation. I finally got a group together but maybe after one wipe half will just leave.
They really need to do something to reinvigorate the raid scene. Super rare ornaments, emblems, shaders? Idk, the pinnacle experience in Destiny has beenr educed to frustration because they failed to invigorate the game in general and everyone is gone now.
I worried Bungie will put less time and money into raids if less people are doing them.
“ You would think only the hardcore players and raiders are left at this time but theyre gone.”
I would live to say “I told you so” but there’s nobody left faces left to rub it into.
If players want challenging content and they don’t get it they will leave. You will not find a group, and if you do, they’re all gonna be bad players that know even less of what to do than you do, and none of them will want to learn.
I said this is what would happen dozens of times and instead was told “they should be making content for the average player not the 1%!!1!!1!!1!1!”
Bitch if we aren’t here you don’t get to experience half the game.
So yeah, go ahead, make more seasonal and episodic content, keep making the game easier. Oh look big surprise here, all the good players that made the game fun or playable for the average players are gone.
Game is dead and rightfully so. Needs matchmaking for all activities
This game is still live? lol
I used to be an avid raider with my various clans throughout D1 and D2. Raided every week, every difficulty, every challenge, every exotic, sherpa'd so many people through, always eager to help and defend newbies against the bullies - until the pandemic hit and my life changed and now I'm in a ghost clan playing solo and haven't done any raid since 2020 (except for 1 run of Salvation I got roped into while in a discord chat with an old friend). Same for dungeons, none since 2020. I started to play again more regularly after the Final Shape but it's not the same and both the game and the population fell off a cliff soon after, and along with it my clan. I know I could LFG but for my mental health I prefer not to subject myself to that torture, and anyway I no longer fit the KWTD mold.
Destiny is just not made for solo play unless your gamertag is Esoterickk. Where are all the nice and friendly folk looking to have fun and help fellow gamers? If you're still out there. reach out.
When it comes to having their backs against the wall. Always bet on Bungie to make a comeback.
I can't believe I'm actually fuckin hyped. The new subclass is imo far better than a new darkness one
They knocked it out of the park with into the light. You gotta give it to bungie man... They can really turn it around.
Destiny has survived for 10 straight years for a reason
Except it's not a new subclass. It's just an amalgamation of the current ones. I think it's the biggest reason they delayed. We wanted one and were disappointed we didn't get one before the delay. This is probably 100x easier than actually making a new subclass and all the animations and effects and everything, but has a similar feel. To make this work, they just needed to code the ability to mix and match vs building from the ground up.
Granted, I'm not a software dev so I don't really know the complexity of it. This is just what logically would make sense.
Mixing and matching is usually a really hard thing to do. Wouldn't surprise me they took those few extra bugs to work through the spaghetti code, add interactions, fix bugs...
Just take a look at Viego or Sylas from League of Legends. They can take abilities from other characters. Doesn't sound too complicated, but they're some of the buggiest characters because there's always some unintended interaction the devs didn't expect.
If Prismatic launches without any game breaking bugs, I'll be surprised.
I expected just a simple weapon showcase. Nothing crazy
Boy I’m glad I’m wrong
I did spot a No Land Beyond in the cutscene you get when you get into the game, so hopefully we'll get that back because I love the stupid thing
Are you talking about ikora talking while we see devrim? I really want the NLB myself but i really dont think that was a tease
Thats just Devrim, had it since Red War
Funnily enough we got zero weapons
There is no way they made a new race, a new kind of subclass and all those other stuff in 3 months. Like, it’s literally impossible lmao. I’m sure most of it were meant to remain a secret until launch but they (rightfully) had to build the hype back. But holy shit this live was fucking awesome!
Best raids in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Key Considerations for Raids in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Team Composition: Ensure you have a balanced team with a mix of classes (Titan, Hunter, Warlock) to utilize their unique abilities effectively. Communication is crucial.
Mechanics Understanding: Familiarize yourself with the mechanics of each raid encounter. Each raid has unique challenges that require specific strategies and coordination.
Gear and Loadouts: Equip the best gear for your class and role. Consider using weapons and armor that enhance your build and synergize with your team's strategy.
Recommended Raids:
Timing and Preparation: Make sure to allocate enough time for the raid, as they can take several hours. Prepare by gathering consumables and ensuring your fireteam is ready.
Recommendation: If you're looking for the best overall experience, The Last Wish is often considered the pinnacle of Destiny 2 raids due to its intricate mechanics, lore, and the challenge it presents. However, if you're new to raiding, starting with Vault of Glass can provide a more accessible introduction while still being rewarding.
