TL;DR
RoN Warlock Set
The Root of Nightmares (RoN) Warlock set is frequently mentioned as one of the best armor sets in Destiny 2. It is praised for its unique silhouette and additional appendages, which add to its aesthetic appeal [1:1]
[1:2]. Many players consider it among the top Warlock sets in the franchise
[1:1].
Taken King Set
The Taken King set has been well-received across all classes. Players appreciate its thematic design, especially when paired with weapons like Lament with the Logic ornament [1:4]
[1:7]. This set provides a hive knight titan look that resonates with many fans of the game.
Iron Truage and Dark Age Sets
The Iron Truage set is favored by players who enjoy the knight or samurai metal look, although some find issues with shader compatibility [2:1]
[2:2]. Meanwhile, the Dark Age sets from Warlord's Ruin are appreciated for their style, offering an alternative to the more fantasy-oriented designs
[1:10].
Personal Preference and Exotic Integration
Many players emphasize personal preference when choosing armor sets, suggesting that players should build their outfits around their favorite exotic gear [3:1]. Some players also recommend previewing different shaders to enhance the appearance of armor sets
[3:12]. Ultimately, the choice of armor often comes down to individual taste and how well it integrates with gameplay strategies
[5:4].
Considerations Beyond the Discussions
While these discussions provide insights into popular armor sets, it's important to remember that aesthetics can be subjective. Exploring different combinations and experimenting with shaders can help tailor your Guardian's look to your personal style. Additionally, keeping an eye on new releases and seasonal updates may introduce fresh options that could become your next favorite set.
RoN's Warlock chest takes the cake for me. Genuinely unique silhouette from our collection and I love extra appendages.
It’s basically a Diablo 3 Witch Doctor set.
the RoN warlock set is in the top 3 best warlock sets in the entirety of the Destiny franchise imo.
The Dark Age sets from Warlord's Ruin are much more my style than everything else we've had this year.
Pretty much the case for me although I don't have that set myself yet, it's the same deal as the majority of the Deep Explorer/Hakke set minus the helmet there as my preference is grounded looks (like the Division) unless I'm going for an Armored Knight which there aren't too many options for in D2, fantasy armor just isn't my thing.
I regret choosing Warlock as my main class back in D1 because the Trench-coat look in the long run have ended up being the exceptions in favor of "dresses" or fantasy looks, would of rather been a Titan for both mechanics and looks in hindsight.
The Hunter cloak is just absolute peak.
I love the robes for warlock, I always pair it with my swarmers fashion
Been loving using the warlock gauntlets with the Witcher robes, they have the same squared-but-slightly-rounded metal plates and the fur is very similar
Been loving the taken king set immensely. I rock Lament with the Logic ornament a lot so it helps give that hive knight titan look
The warlock robes are hard to beat
The taken king set goes hard on all 3 classes.
Looks too flat on Warlock imo
The iron truage set I think is the best set and I’m happy they are bringing it back in season of the chose
There are too many parts of that armor set that dont change colors with shaders. I can't stand it
I get this, but personally I vibe with the knight or samurai metal look
Space samurai time
1 > 3 > 4 > 2, first one is really cool though i'd probably look for other chest piece
Gotcha, any recommendations for the chest?
Idk, but the shader is great, so i would just preview every other chest with this shader, that's how i usually do fashion hehe. I'll probably even take this look if you are fine with that :)
Given that a set is like....15 bucks or whatever, I'd say PERSONALLY hell no to it, but I Luckily got it from the season pass back in the day so I don't have to buy it. Though honestly, I'd say it ain't worth it for 15 bucks
Thank you! The only issue is no exotics go well with it.
Shinobu's Vow, Assassin's Cowl's new ornament, the og ornament on Liar's Handshake
Have you tried oathkeepers?
How does the new ornament for Assassin’s Cowl look with it?
Maybe the shinobou’s vow ornament (idk if that’s all spelled correct lol
Is the Season of the Undying really worth it?
No seasonal armor is worth 15 bucks when it was part of a season for 10. And don't forget all the additional stuff that season pass would have given you like ghost, sparrow, emotes, and shaders all for 10 bucks. Bringing back seasonal armor in this way is nothing but a shameless con!
No exotic makes it a no for me. But if you fit an exotic in then 1 would be the best. I like the look of all but the purple one.
You should try starting out with your exotic of choice then building your drip around it, it's far easier than trying to find an exotic to slot in to an existing fit.
Your choice is also my choice. In NG+ I used the shadow set since I was a dex main.
Fallen Knight is everyone’s first run set. You get it fairly early in the game and it looks cool as fuck.
Only problem is the poop stains in the pants
Fallen works perfect for battle mages. Med weight and def. Plus decent resistance
Firelink set is IMO the best, there's a reason they slapped that bad boy on the cover.
DS2 peak fashion.
The funny thing is I think Drakeblood looks bad IN DS2 (not the design, but the materials) and DS3 did it justice, that design so fire, I love how it glistens
I’m not sure I’ve ever got the Drakeblood knight armor. Does it drop from the guys that get summoned at Archdragon?
You have to kill the Drakeblood knight in Archdragon Peak, then head back to the altar/entrance to the dark version of Firelink Shrine. The whole set will be on the body of a sitting knight.
It’s a weird process for sure
dawg when i saw alva in ds3 i got so giddy. i used to rock the alva armor back in ds2
You have to beat the final boss and then it’s purchasable from handmaiden
I'm a sucker for the elite knight set, love me the brand armor, but fallen knight is a close second up until I get elite knight
I have a hard time looking at that armor and not thinking of lemon now.
The one you like
Personally I feel I could work a bit more with the second one, I feel like it could have some good affects gameplay wise as I main strand and quicksilver storm which could work well with foetracer
The third image is my current outfit

Hi y'all! I just finished the game (absolutely loved it), and I wanted to hear y'all's thoughts on your favorite armor sets in the game! Thanks!
Same, I absolutely love it. One of the best armors, especially for midgame.
As a solo player, the exor armor set's ghost summon is invaluable against late game baddies, so I have to pick it
Great set. I usually switch between this and the hex set to stop all bleeding. F U heavy bleeding
I love the hex set! So invaluable against those pesky snipers.
I love the hex set.
Combine it with the core companion and he’s even stronger.
After I got the armor I first went to test it with the core companion trinket because I heard someone say that they synergized really well.
One-shot the security bot in the lobby. Felt like Oppenheimer.
Finished the gamer as 100 % solo, and i could not agree more. The mistagoge set could have been decent if the eye was not half blind and missed half of its shot
It really a great set, the exor can pull agro from the enemies too
I have been having a blast using the Crystalline armor set to bully Order soldiers and Canaanites. Creep up behind 'em all unawares, bop 'em on the head with my biggest hammer.
2 piece hex set and 2 part exor (one being the boots)
Crystalline. I’m a sucker for a stealth field.
I really liked the Crota's End set and the Iron Lords armor the best.
They were all pretty excellent, do you have a favorite?
VoG for everyone, but also the OG titan trials set. Love that so much I made sure to get it in d2
I didn't play alot of PVP in D1 but I did have a chance to play a few times, even went flawless once.
I didn't include my D1 Trials armor in the video because i don't have any full sets, the video I did make I had to use other pieces to fill in the gaps.
opened a bunch of silver dust vanguard engrams on my warlock and got that chestpiece that doesn’t have a dress, absolute game changer
Wait which is that?
Nerigal savant iii But I believe you have to be a female character for it to not have the robes
yeah i wanna know now
The srl Titan armor
Ah man… there’s so many. I don’t there is a set in D1 that I don’t like. Some of my favs:
Titan: Dead Orbit’s Exodus/Oblivion set, any of the raid sets, especially VoG, Jovian Guard, Kallipolis from New Monarchy
Hunter: Bog Wild, VoG set, any Trials set, Neuroghast
Warlock: VoG set (I think there’s a pattern going on here 🤔), Spektar, Rimed, any Trials set, Nerigal Savant, Eclipse Maw
Desert Sorceress Set, obviously
I join Covenant of Champions and farm for this set every playthrough without fail.
Man of culture.
A pretty good representation of what's aesthetic. Throne Defender is just ok imho though.
Black dragon is #1 across the whole soulsbornering series for me.
I can't give you a top five because I love all of them, but the ones that always come to my mind are the throne watcher set, the mastodon set, throne defender set and the bone king set.
I also like Roadblock.
It's the best.
But the heavy cop armor is great as well!
I love it with the dreadnaught helmet when I feel like switching it up.
Perfect with helghast helmet!
Oh yeah, that looks cool. Even if is different armor. 👍👍
I really love the juggernaut set.
It feels tech but grounded, plus I really live the pouches and gray and yellow combo
Grenadier is my favorite almost in every games. But against bots i use the light armor.
Holy moly, I saw that armor multiples time in the super store and just now I see it's similar to my beloved fs-05 marksman armor
I like that armor so much that it made me buy the Butcher one for being kind of an medical version of the fs 05
but it looks like I'm going to add one more armor to my collection...
I love that one because it looks like a clone trooper
As much as I do not enjoy the look, I have to admit I was very happy to see another armor aside from the gold eagle or B1 starter armors with extra padding 150. They should make more armor with EP honestly
This with the jaguar beret and creeker cape for maximum drip
I kind of like the helmet and the trench coat vibe of the armour but I can't get over the travel pillow around the neck.
With no mix and match? Bearer of the Standard. Black and Gold with a knights helm is too cool.
That first armour arrangement did not need to go that hard. Drip so tough that it alone drops Radahn's health by 50%.
The shield is what makes it imo. Blue to go with Blaidds cloak and also a big shield to compliment the bulkier look.
Yeah that's the best I've seen on here in a minute.
As soon as i found full crucible armor. I havent taken it off
I'm pretty sure it's slightly worse overall than Tree Sentinel but both are pretty even when you account for the crucible incant buff
I wantee to wear that armor, but it ended up being just too heavy. I also don't use incantations, so that part of the crucible armor is useless to me
And it slightly helps with holy damage resistabce against him too funnily enough
Had no idea. I just wear it because its the beefiest armor i can wear with my weapons before i heavy roll.
I love the Black Knight Armor because it reminds me of Skyrim’s Ebony Mail plus the Divine Beast Helm lets you cosplay as a Khajiit.
“Warms sands” and all that.
love that helmet with nights cav
+1 for using an actually good-looking shield, instead of the Brass Dorito
What weapon is that?
