TL;DR
Weapon Strategies
A standout tip for weapon loadouts in The Final Shape is running two Rocket sidearms, which allows you to generate Heavy ammo similarly to pre-nerf double special setups. This strategy can make Legend difficulty much easier [1:2]. Additionally, Graviton Lance and Sunshot are recommended exotic weapons that can be obtained through random exotic engram drops
[2:3]. Sunshot is particularly effective for ad clearing and single-target damage due to its recent damage buffs
[2:2].
Stat Optimization
Improving your Resistance stat can significantly enhance your survivability in challenging content. Equip mods onto your Ghost to focus engrams towards Resistance, and aim to reach Guardian Rank 6 to unlock additional armor mods for further stat boosts [2:1]. This approach will help mitigate the difficulty of The Final Shape's content.
Community Engagement
Finding a clan or community can greatly enhance your Destiny 2 experience, especially for tackling raids and endgame content. Many players have found success by joining clans that offer support and guidance for new players [3:1],
[3:4]. Utilizing platforms like Discord can also help connect with other players looking for raid groups
[1:1].
Campaign Order and Subclass Unlocks
For newcomers, playing through the DLC campaigns in order—Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, and The Final Shape—is recommended [4:1]. Each campaign provides access to different subclasses, which are crucial for expanding gameplay options. Prioritize campaigns that unlock new subclasses if you're interested in diversifying your abilities
[4:2].
Exotic Farming
One efficient farming strategy involves unlocking the exotic class item through specific missions and then participating in match-made activities like Overthrow. This method allows simultaneous farming of exotic class items, Ergo Sum, and red border weapons [5:1].

The day has come, Guardians. Happy The Final Shape launch day! Much is happening today, so we wanted to help by putting everything you might need to know in one place. Let's start with The Final Shape launch trailer, shall we?
Video Link ##Confronting Oblivion
In our latest ViDocs, we shared why The Final Shape is so special. We talked about the emotional journey, the Witness's plans, the beloved characters you've known for almost ten years, the new powers, the dangers, the places you'll find... You know what? It's better if you just watch them yourself.
Video LinkVideo Link ##Through The Pale Heart
Crow was first. Now, it's our turn to step inside the Traveler and explore : The Pale Heart. It's strange, yet familiar. Welcoming, but unsettling. You'll first experience this new destination in a more linear way while playing through the campaign, but afterward, it will continue unfolding with new locations, challenges, and activities. And with Pathfinder—our new progression system for The Pale Heart destination and Ritual activities—you'll earn tons of rewards while doing so.
Video Link ##A Campaign for Legends
In The Final Shape campaign, you, the Vanguard, and your allies will pursue the Witness to thwart its plans. It won't be easy, especially if you play it in Legendary Mode. You'll have to test your mettle on every fight, but your efforts will earn you upgraded rewards, like a set of armor with a high enough Power Level for raid content.
##Fear the Dread
The Dread is a new species born as a result of the Witness's incursion inside of the Traveler. They are a menace, and you'll need new strategies to defeat them.
Video LinkVideo LinkVideo LinkVideo Link ##Transcend Light and Darkness
During their adventures inside The Pale Heart, players will earn three new Light-based Supers, one for each Guardian class and each of them accompanied by new Aspects.
###Storm's Edge Super and Ascension Aspect Video Link ###Song of Flame Super and Hellion Aspect Video Link ###Twilight Arsenal Super and Unbreakable Aspect Video Link
But that's not all. The blending of Light and Darkness inside of the Traveler will allow Guardians to go beyond their known limits and combine both powers for the first time with the Prismatic subclass. Players will be able to combine select features of Light and Darkness subclasses, while also having some new and powerful Fragments at their disposal, resulting in incredibly powerful builds.
With Prismatic, using Light and Darkness will also charge a new power called Transcendence, which will overflow Guardians with power, allowing them to create a unique grenade. Born from Light and Darkness, these grenades have increased damage output and regenerate at a faster pace.
The cherry on top for Prismatic is the addition of new Exotic class items. These are exclusive to the Prismatic subclass, and you earn them through a unique activity in The Final Shape. Each of these Exotic class items has a mix of two Exotic armor perks, allowing for combos that were not possible before. Check out the list of Exotic perk combinations here.
Video LinkVideo LinkVideo Link ##New Arsenal
Speaking of Exotics, we have a formidable lineup of new Exotic weapons that will allow you to defeat your foes in unique ways. Still Hunt shoots like a Marksman Hunter, Microcosm shoots wide beams of powerful Light, Khvostov is an old friend made anew and... well, you’ll discover what the rest do on your adventure.

Six new Exotic pieces of armor will also be available in The Final Shape, two for each class. Three of these pieces have their own trailers already, check them out below.

Of course, new Legendary gear is also needed in this fight, and we have plenty. For starters, the new destination weapons are all craftable, and some are part of new archetypes, like the new Auto Rifle that heals your allies when you shoot at them.
Here's the whole list:
And let's not forget one very important upgrade coming to many weapons, including both new weapons and those already in your vault: perk enhancing. A broad selection of Legendary weapons can now have their perks enhanced.
##An Ever-Evolving Sandbox
Our Sandbox team has been busy making changes to weapons, armor, and abilities. We have three different articles covering the main changes coming with The Final Shape. Be prepared to buildcraft and be your strongest self by reading these:
Additionaly, we have a preview of the perks that the new Seasonal Artifact brings to the table. It’s another crucial aspect of buildcrafting in Destiny 2.

Our World First race will be taking place during the first 48 hours of the raid, when Contest Mode will also be active. Whether you participate in the raid with your fireteam or follow the race on Twitch Rivals, you won’t want to miss this.
Please note that we encourage all players to complete The Final Shape campaign and the Wild Card Exotic quest prior to the launch of Salvation’s Edge to have the best story experience.

Have fun, everyone!

hot tip/PSA, TLDR: run 2 Rocket sidearms and it seems you get Heavy ammo the same as pre-nerf double spesh. Makes Legend a breeze.
Weapon spoilers (I guess), You get a Strand Rocket sidearm early on, and if you run it with Indebted Kindness (this was heavily speculated and it looks like it DOES work), you effectively have 2 'primaries' since the rocket sidearms count as primaries for Heavy ammo generation, so you get tons of Heavy ammo accordingly.
I’d play more if it were easier to find a raid group
I would recommend using the looking for sherpa chat in the destiny 2 lfg discord!
I’ll try that. I have discord.
I used to have a regular group that I played with but everyone spread out to other games
Is the lfg system not working for you? What do you think it needs if so?
It needs me to have more time lol. It’s not the system, it’s me.
After careful consideration of all the factors surrounding the reddit blackout, including weighing the costs and benefits to the community of a continued dark period, the mod team has elected to resume normal operations of r/LowSodiumDestiny. If you wish to get more involved in further protest of reddit's API policy change, more information can be found on r/ModCoord and r/Save3rdPartyApps.

Hey all - I’ve just started my journey on Destiny yesterday. Managed to pick up the DLC’s on the steam sale. I was just curious if there were any clans or helpful suggestions that I should follow? Currently doing the final shape, but I seem to be getting destroyed by most things lol. Not sure I understand what guns are viable either.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Two good guns that you can get through random exotic engram drops that are worth looking out for is Graviton Lance and Sunshot. Shouldn't take you too long to get at least one of them.
As a hunter one of the quests gave me sunshot - so thats a gun worth infusing levels into? Will for sure give that a try!
It's great for ad clear and has decent single target damage too. Bungie gave a 75% damage increase for hand cannons against majors (yellow bars) a few seasons ago and exotic primaries also benefit from a 30% damage increase against minor enemies (red bars) compared to legendary primaries.
Alo DM me please for a clan invite :)
My clan does a bunch of stuff and we’re always happy to help with new stuff, droppindeezcabals, don’t ask, I didn’t name it
I started playing ~8 months ago and still found some of the Final Shape content a bit difficult.
First tip, get your Resistance stat up to 100. You can equip mods onto your Ghost that will focus engrams with a bias towards Resistance. Also increasing to Guardian Rank 6 unlocks armor mods so you can add a +10 Resistance on top of a piece of armors base stats. You can view your Guardian Rank in the "Journey" tab and click the View Progress button there to see the specific requirements for each rank. With the annual pass, you can also farm higher stat armor from the Echoes episode by focusing engrams with Failsafe in HELM.
I'm not an expert on the "best" weapons so take this with a grain of salt, but I find it easier to have a weapon that can wipe out the low level baddies in groups and then another than can hit super hard and fast to knock down the tougher enemies and bosses. For the former, Incandescent, Destabilizing Rounds, Jolting Feedback, Hatchling are some of the possible weapon traits that effectively mean "kill a baddie with this and it will spread damage to other near by baddies, killing them outright or making them easier to kill" and by keeping that damage chain going by killing the near by ones splashes more damage and so on. Sunshot, Graviton Lance, and Trinity Ghoul are some of the easier to acquire and use ones IMO. Graviton Lance can drop nearly anywhere, which the other two drop from ritual activities, the circles at the top of the Director, Vanguard Ops, Crucible, etc. You can also start with a Sunshot if you select Solar as your initial subclass.
I'm still figuring out the other category. I found Shotguns and Grenade Launchers easier to use because I don't have to be as accurate or precise as with a sniper rifle like Izanagi's Burden. If you like Sunshot or hand cannons, Eriana's Vow is pretty great. And this episode, Bungie buffed Lord of Wolves. Both of those can be pulled from the Monument to Lost Lights kiosk in the Tower.
Hey Everyone! M/EST
I'm new to Destiny 2 and just ran through the four DLC's (Forsaken, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall) I'm now getting towards the end of The Final Shape. I don't know much about the end game of Destiny 2 as I've never done a raid or a nightfall dungeon. Just curious if there's anyone 18+ that could show me around or maybe take me on some runs so I can learn! Only thing I'm doing right now is the Nether quest in The Last CIty and that's been hella fun!
Anyways, thanks for reading, hope to hear from you!
we have a clan with some newer players along with some absolute gamers. We got a healthy mix of all kinds of guardians. Feel free to check us out!https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyClanFinder/s/yeiWb7C38j
Send me a DM and I’ll send you a clan invite and discord link and we can get you through some endgame things if you like!
Hey there, I run a community teaching server with folks from all over the world that can help you out! We would love to have you (:
Hello I’m on the EST! Hit me up, my clans always running raids and we’re all more than happy to teach, my discords junaper_jazz if you wanna add me
Hi guys, I have played D2 quite a lot, but did not understand anything in the game. Got D2 legacy collection with all DLCs + The Final Shape on PS Plus just now and planning to start playing it now. I find the game pretty overwhelming and complicated to understand, which is why I want to know if there are any beginner-friendly guide(s) on what to exactly do when you jump in. For eg - what DLCs to play and in what order and much more.
Would love some help, thanks!
So, I think the order of the dlcs goes like this; shadowkeep, beyond light, witch queen, lightfall, final shape.
Beyond light will grant you the stasis subclass, Lightfall will give you the strand subclass. Witch queen will teach you about hive with ghosts, final shape will grant you access to the prismatic subclass.
I would work on doing all the campaigns. If you don't really care about order story wise, do the ones that give you access to other subclasses.
While doing that, upgrade your guardian rank to 6 if you can, and try to unlock as much exotic armor and guns as you can.
A chest that will give you an instant bump to 2020 light level is in eternity, once you click the destination, travel to rite of the nine. Once there, head straight until you see the vendor. The chest to loot is directly to the left of the vendor. I would do this first before ANYTHING.
Thank you for your response. One thing you should know: I am pretty noob at the game! I don't know almost anything you are talking about. Whatever I played: I forgot about it cause I kept dropping in and out of the game.
Lemme know if you know any good and easy to understand YT guide videos, thanks a lot!
Basically do beyond light, light fall, and final shape to unlock sub classes and witch queen for a W campaign. Final shape is probably the best of the 4 in terms of loot and subclass. As for guides check out https://youtu.be/ADFJul3WnqU?si=QNG6C1K5l9r1mIv6
Could be any activity, but ideally the new ones in Final Shape or the episode!
My best tip is unlock the exotic class item through the mission then farm match made overthrow for exotic class item + ergo sum + red borders all at the same time
May I ask what mission?
Dual Destiny you can find lots of guides for unlocking it and running it
I haven’t played since a little before Final Shape had released, one of the questions on the top of my head right now is how many 100 stats can you have? I don’t remember how many was possible, I main a warlock and remember trying to make a build for final shape.
I don’t necessarily have anything else to know but the best way to reach the new pinnacle cap and whether to do powerfuls before pinnacles or after? Any other tips and tricks that would help me adjust to the new state of the game would be appreciated, as well as anything that’ll help me get better and “overpowered” for the current state of Destiny right now.
Stats
Technically? Six with font mods (do not bother).
Prismatically? Four actual 100s with the right armour and fragments (this is no more than an achievement rather than something that will yield strong builds).
Realistically? Three. Triple 100 is often touted as the end goal of stats in build crafting but can at times sacrifice synergy and a good build overall.
Generally? Two. Most people today have 100 resilience, 100 discipline or strength, and then their next preferred stat at around 70-80. resilience.
Minimally? Always have 100 resilience no matter what.
After resilience, as warlock I will often prioritise either discipline or strength (if devourer is available on my subclass I will often go into strength for melee energy). Following that I go into recovery, about 70-80 is fine - recovery governs recharge rate for your class ability on warlock.
Intellect is more often than not, a more PvP oriented stat for passive super regeneration. Try for a minimum 30-40 in PvE as instances of damage (shooting your gun) builds super energy.
Nobody gives a flying fig about mobility outside of PvP and maybe traversal builds in raids and dungeons.
Pinnacles The best way to earn pinnacles is the only way to earn pinnacles. Featured content (raids/dungeons), three pathfinder completions (which are account wide), and current seasonal content. You only get one pinnacle drop from activities.
Powerful gear will help give you help overall regarding power level. You may want to get some to give you a little boost before going after a pinnacle (there are optimal ways that I’m not knowledgeable enough to impart). Don’t worry if you get a pinnacle drop without powerful drops first. Once you have a 2020 item in each armour and weapon slot, powerful gear automatically drops at 2020. This may take you a few weeks.
That’s a lot to take in but it’s not much different since season of the wish, besides prismatic. Since it’s been a while, what’s considered the best builds right now for warlock for nightfalls, raids, etc? I remember using a solar warlock that could spam solar nades with fusion nades for dps and it carried me enough, but I never finished the build.
Also what have I missed, I played the first episode of heresy and it surprised me to see Eris morn die. Again it seems surprising since I haven’t played since season of the wish, if you don’t mind enlighten me. Anything will help and feel free to include anything I didn’t ask that would be helpful or essential for me to know.
Cross the Threshold.
Wield Prismatic.
Become Legend.

Logging in is the new fishing just press B every so often
I recommend not doing that as you seem to get in faster if you don’t reset your queue position.
First release in YEARS that I took of work to play. I forgot about the mandatory fishing for hours beforehand. By time I get in it'll be time to get my kids from school 😭
Yeah if you’ve played this game for years, you probably should have known what you were in for here
I saw a guy on Twitter that got in and instantly queued control 💀
I had issues connecting the serve deleted the game loaded up and got it I got one error can’t connect to server then it loaded in
It's two minutes past 6 and the servers aren't on. I get one minute a day to play destiny around work, my kids, and my wife and her boyfriend. This is ridiculous and i'm claiming a refund.
This guy Destinys.
As usual, if everyone could wait for me to login first that would be mega cool.
This is bullshit I skipped my kids birth to play this game and it’s 8 minutes after launch and I’m still not playing
I skipped my own birth to play
Lol, it's actually my birthday today, and my gift to myself was taking the day to just play Destiny and vibe all day. Have all my favorite snacks ready to go. My Gambit Prime jersey on. I'm ready whenever Bungie is.
Hey Guardians,
I finished The Final Shape right when it was released but haven’t played any of the episodes that came afterward. With The Edge of Fate DLC on the horizon, I’m looking to jump back in — but I’m not sure what I should focus on grinding or collecting to get ready.
Are there weapons, armor, currencies, or other must-have items I should prioritize before the expansion drops? Any activities I should catch up on to avoid missing out?
I’m good on the lore — I can always watch it from our amazing Destiny 2 creators — but I don’t want to miss gameplay-related stuff that could go away or be really useful in The Edge of Fate.
If there’s nothing major or important to grab, I don’t mind skipping and just jumping straight into the new content.
Thanks for any advice you can share.
Eyes up, Guardians.
My advice would be to farm a mobility / intellect armour set. Mobility is turning into the weapons stat, intellect the super. With EoF, that combination is not going to be available to begin with, and the armour we get now should be similar to tier 3, just without a set bonus. This will probably be the best way to get a boss damage setup for the new content.
I really hope they add that combination (or any missing combination)
Weapons wise -

I almost didn’t kill your mother because I was so exited for the final shape. Now I can’t log in. Why does the world hate good people?
"Destiny 2 servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again.
For more information, please visit help.bungie.net"
The final shape is “destiny 2 servers are not available”
Anyone on console actually made it in?
I did. Played the first FS mission with "contacting D2 servers" constantly popping up. Then got bounced when I thought I'd made it through - twice.
The real ending of Destiny 2
Dead servers. This is The Final Shape. The Witness has succeeded.
….yeah, but please finish the campaign and raid race before this weekend. “For best story experience.”
Servers are kill. Edit: I’m in.
I’m on ps5 it’s 11 pst and I have a server down error
I'm also here trying to figure out when the servers will be up
I know I have 27 children and I only get 2 minutes a year to play destiny while my wifes boyfriend watches the kids and the servers are down 😡
I'm stuck on the last part of Dissent. By the time I kill the two mini bosses I'm so weak I get wiped by the main boss every time. I keep forgetting how to use the shield and even the one time I managed to use it I still got killed. I checked the Destiny app and no one seems to be playing The Final Shape, but they are playing Witch Queen for some reason.
OP did you get the campaign done we need closure
Yeah, did it, sorry, terrible at getting back. I have ADHD and get distracted more easily than a cat. mean I did Dissent, I assume there's more to do, but when Dissent was done the whole map opened up including Pathfinder so maybe that was it?
Nice!
16 hours late here, but Adventure Buddy#2085 is always willing to lend a hand when in game!
if you still need a hand. i can also help as well. Shadow2920#2500
Kinda late to the post but if you need help, dm
Nice to see all the people willing to help!
Yeah it is. I try to not ask for help, I like to try to figure it out myself, but when I get boxed in on something it's time to go with people that have done it. My "guide" was great. I got lost a few times, but even without using the mic he let me know where to go shooting at stuff.
