TL;DR
Hinge
Hinge is frequently mentioned as a preferred app for those seeking relationships. Users appreciate the quality of interactions and the potential for meaningful connections. One commenter noted that Hinge provided them with interesting people to talk to and led to multiple dates [4:1]. However, there are reports of users being banned without clear reasons, which could be a downside
[1:3].
Tinder
Tinder is widely recognized for its hookup culture, but experiences can vary greatly depending on individual preferences and locations [5]. While Tinder might not be everyone's favorite for long-term relationships, it remains one of the most popular apps due to its large user base and ease of use.
Bumble
Bumble stands out because it allows women to make the first move, which can lead to different dynamics in conversations compared to other apps. Some users have had mixed experiences, finding it less effective for longer conversations but still worth trying due to positive feedback from friends [4:1].
Plenty of Fish
Plenty of Fish offers a distinct feature allowing users to message others without needing to match first. This can lead to more interactions and potentially more dates, as experienced by a 33-year-old female user who found success with this app [5:1]. However, it's important to note that men may face limitations on the number of messages they can send without matching.
Other Options
Raya was mentioned as an exclusive app that can yield good results if you manage to get access [1:1]. Facebook Dating and Laylooper were also suggested by users who had positive experiences with these platforms
[1:2]
[1:4]. Additionally, unconventional options like Discord and LinkedIn were surprisingly cited as places where people have met partners
[2:1]
[2:6].
Ultimately, the best dating app depends on personal preferences, goals, and location. Trying out different apps and seeing which one aligns with your needs is often the best approach.
What's the best dating app in your opinion? Or at least the best dating app that gave you the best results?
Facebook dating for me
Well it was Hinge but I got banned for no reason at all
For me, Laylooper worked well for casual stuff. Give it a try maybe?
None to me lol no matches at all
Raya, if you can get on it (I’m on Raya). If not, hinge.
Existe algo parecido aun?
No es un dating app pero discord
yo sorprendentemente conocí a mi novio por allí ajsjs
Algun tip para conocer gente en discord? Como conociste a tu novio? Claro si deseas compartir
LinkedIn???? I recently moved to pr and had no idea that LinkedIn was used at all anymore let alone for hook ups
Sorry if this has been asked or posted before but does anyone have a true ranking and description of the best dating apps? Like which is best for a relationship, hookup, match success etc?
Different parts of the world use different apps.
What’s the best dating app and why did you choose that dating app?
I think Dating Apps are more subjective than people think. If one works for me, it doesn’t mean it’s also doing you any good. I am still using on-off Bumble because my friends had good experiences, but I rarely have a match that leads to a longer conversation. I am now mostly on Hinge or Luxy. The people seem more interesting, tend to talk more and I had three new dates last month. Try a few out, you’ll see what suits you best.
Out of all the apps out there, which one have you had the best luck on? People always joke that Tinder is for hookups, hinge for relationships, etc. but it’s def different for everyone. Which one’s your favorite?
honey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You mean bumble?
33 year old female here... IMO, I think Plenty of Fish is best. It has the swipe and match concept, but you can also directly message anyone without matching. I received a lot more messages and responses on that app. I have even had quite a few dates in the past. However.. I have heard that men have a limited number of new messages they can send without matching. As a woman, I never hit the limit.
I (M25) use hinge to meet women in my area, and I'm beginning to feel bored of it. I want to branch out to other apps, but I'm not sure which one to try. I've used tinder and bumble in the past. What's your favorite dating app?
Tinder. I think I would attribute it to the sheer number of users. All of my relationships are a product of Tinder. That could also be a large reason why they all didn't last :).
Honestly the Facebook dating section is pretty sweet. Unfortunately its confined to within Facebook which sucks but you get all the features of other dating apps for free.
You're "bored" of a dating app? What does that mean?
Its getting monotonous and I'm seeing a lot of faces over and over
grindr
Tinder: Had a lot of matches, some convos, but only 3 dates in 2 years
Bumble: 2 macthes, 2 convos, still in 1 short term relationship
OkCupid: 20 matches, no intros, nothing, but who knows.
Hinge: Haven't given it a go, but seems to be good.
I’ve been having horrible luck on dating apps. I primarily use hinge, tinder as a secondary. what apps have you had the best results on? I don’t know which options to try anymore tbh.
hinge or coffee meets bagel(before they banned me for no reason)
I like hinge a lot because of the prompts. you don’t have to just be spontaneous and comment on a picture or come up with a pickup line. I get likes, i’ll get some convos but they all just end up dry and fizzle out one way or another
What I find is women have SO many likes on the apps that you need to ask them out quickly in person or they get bored or frustrated. You would too if you had tons of likes and convos. There’s only so much time you can spend on apps. So either ask them for coffee or ice cream or something casual and cheap (no reason to spend a lot of money when you have no idea if there’s chemistry), or explain that you’re busy this week and want to meet but it may need to wait a few extra days and offer to setup a video chat. That way you at least show you have the intention to get off the apps and meet IRL, you’re just busy.
Also try to introspect and figure out why the convos fizzle out.
I dumped all those apps a while ago, still single but I came to a conclusion that it’s better to wait for a right one than to eagerly seek love
i’ve been on and off the apps. I don’t go out much anymore to find the action. maybe it’s a sign? couldn’t tell you
Once I deleted the apps life got so much better
Deleted Hinge last week after 3 really bad dates! I had to report someone for the first time ever. This guy lost it when he realized I wasn’t open to sleeping w him on the first night. He called and text me all night till 5am because he was too drunk to drive. It was a nightmare
that sucks , so sorry to hear that. how long does it take from using the apps before you go on a date if you don’t mind me asking?
Guys on hinge have either shown up 6 inches shorter than they claimed or attempted to sleep with me immediately despite being hideously unattractive
For me, coffee meets bagel is where i get the most matches followed by tinder
I’ve never gotten a match on hinge or bumble funny enough ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Speaking as an average looking guy who literally asked female friends to set up his profile on Tinder and Bumble, I get so much more action on Hinge it's not even funny
Isn't hinge only for homosexual people?
By best I mean:
You can send an unlimited amount of messages back and fourth
No spam bots/fake profiles
Most "paid features" being free (who liked you, etc)
It seems Facebook dating hits all these points. Anyone have any other recommendations than FB?
While the popular ones do want your $$, they are still your best shot at getting dates due to the amount of active users. I recommend Hinge or Bumble. Fb dating is okay as well! Always be weary of scammers no matter what app you use👍🏼 side note - I do 1-on-1 coaching designed to help men reach their online dating goals, feel free to message me.
I think smitten is good most features are free
None. They all want your wallet
That part lol
Until my Tinder ban three or four years ago, that was my go to favourite app.
I've used POF, Okay Cupid and now Bumble with Bumble being okay.
What's the best dating app in your opinion? Or at least the best dating app that gave you the best results?
None. Meeting people irl is a hundred times better than on dating apps.
Where do you meet single people?
you can find them anywhere, From libraries to clubs. Just make sure to be respectful while approaching and not look like a creep
REAL LIFE
All apps like shit bro
Personally I believe it’s going to depend wherever you are located regionally. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
I feel like Tinder and Bumble are for women pretending to look for a relationship and men who are just trying to bang. Guys on Reddit likely aren’t as good looking so of course a certain app that focuses on personality is going to win.
That sounds accurate to me as well.
Honestly the more lowkey dating apps that are strictly for hookups have been much better to me than mainstream trash like Tinder. Take this site for example - you can bypass much of the small talk and get straight to the action. Only problem is that not every city has a lot of users on the platform, but when there are users, it's great.
I typically find my hookups online. Found Adult Friend Finder to be the best for me .It usually starts with finding match, having a conversation, and then if I feel she's comfortable already I ask her out on a date. I try to be honest about my intentions, telling her that all I wanted was some casual dating and hooking up, and if she agrees, we move on to the next stage, that's it, the rest follows (LOL).
Hinge has the most normal girls.
What do you define as normal?
Every crazy girl that I have been on a date with has been from tinder. Every girl that I’ve been on dates with on Hinge has been or going to therapy. Tinder is just…
Women that aren't scammers, clout chasers, baby mommas
where do you find feral goth mommies?
asking for a friend
Anything but tinder these days. They have become a total shitshow of an app that throttles your profile visibility after some time in order to make you pay for boosts or platinum or whatever other garbage they have now. If I'm just trying to hookup i use this site and have gotten decent results from it.
