TL;DR
Hydro Flask
Hydro Flask is frequently praised for its insulation capabilities and customer service. Users report that it keeps beverages cold for extended periods, even after frequent drops and rough handling [1:1]
[2:3]. While some have experienced issues with lids, Hydro Flask offers a lifetime warranty and has updated their products to be dishwasher safe
[2:9]
[1:10].
Yeti
Yeti bottles are noted for their durability and effective insulation. They are described as sturdy and capable of keeping drinks cold for over 24 hours [1:4]
[2:4]. Some users appreciate the QR code feature for easy retrieval if lost
[2:4].
Klean Kanteen
Klean Kanteen is recommended for its robust design and insulation performance. It is favored for its placement of welds above the base, reducing moisture-related issues [4:2]. The brand also offers replacement parts and is recognized as a B-Corp, highlighting its commitment to sustainability
[4:7]
[4:12].
Ironflask
Ironflask is mentioned as a cost-effective alternative that performs well in terms of insulation [3:1]. Despite its lower price point, users find it reliable for keeping drinks cold.
Takeya
Takeya bottles are appreciated for their affordability and effectiveness in maintaining temperature [2:5]
[4:5]. Users note that these bottles can keep ice water cold for hours, making them a practical choice for budget-conscious consumers.
Additional Considerations
For those looking for larger capacities, options like Camelbak bladders with insulated covers or freezing techniques with Nalgene bottles might be worth exploring [5:5]
[5:8]. These methods can enhance the cooling effect during hikes or long outdoor activities.
I have been researching the best BIFL insulated water bottle for a while now and have narrowed it down to 3 brands and 4 bottles. Those 3 brands are Zojirushi, Klean Kanteen and The Coolest Water bottle. My main goals that I am looking for are a large bottle (around 1L or 30 oz), has a lid that can be drunk straight from (not have to unscrew and then sip from the open container) and be suitable for hot (coffee to go) and cold (gym/hiking water).
From previous posts on here and reviews on temperature over time, Zojirushi seems like the best brand but their larger bottles come in either sports bottle that has a lid not suitable for hot drinks or a thermos that doesn't seem great for drinking straight out of. Does anyone have experience with either of these and can explain how if it can be used for both hot and cold being drunk straight from it? The problems are only with either lid so I would be completely fine with having to change the lid but I'm not sure if they are compatible.
If not, my next option would be the Klean Kanteen as it is available directly from my area (Australia) and their lid options are more abundant and also just look more thought out than popular brands like Yeti and HydroFlask, but in saying that I am open to any other opinions and options, especially when backed by people who have actually owned different brands.
P.S. I know that the last question is similar to previous posts but all those posts were from multiple years ago and some brands have significantly changed within that time and also have released new products and updated products, especially when it comes to larger bottles.
Popular mechanics magazine did a test on water bottles not too long ago and most bottles that are vacuum insulated work the same way and offer insulation of hot/cold for many hours. It’s more or less personal preference of lids and shape/size that could be deciding factor. One thing I will mention is my yeti gets tossed in the dishwasher daily for the last four years and still looks great. Hydro flasks are not approved for dishwasher fwiw, I tried and the outside got stained and chalky. Hydro flask has great customer service when my screw top lids leaked they sent me three to replace my old ones.
Yep, I’ll third Hydroflask! Excellent customer service. I have the 40oz bottle, with the straw lid, and it’s still going sting after 8 years.
I switched from the straw lid after the orings consistently failed on me. I hated having to change them every year....the point of going reuseable was to limit my plastic use. I switched to a third party "click" lid and absolutely LOVE it. I've had my bottle for 6 years.
Hydroflask, their insulation really works, if you want you can take a look at this list https://peturity.com/water-bottle/
Actually as of 2020, all Hydroflasks are dishwasher safe.
Second praise for Hydroflask customer service! I work in barns and outdoors and beat the piss out of waterbottles but my Hydroflask is going on 4 years and still works excellent except for multiple paint chips and dents by this point. I've also broken two of the lids, emailed them, and without any proof of purchase or proof of a covered damage they simply immediately mailed me a replacement lid.
As for keeping things hot/cold they're HIGHLY effective.
As a counterpoint, I was disappointed in the Klean Kanteen. It didn't maintain temp well and wasn't very durable.
I really like the yeti, it's works well both for my gym session that keeps my electrolytes water super cold for hours and also later when i am at home and siping slowly on a hot coffee or tea, it's just good at keeping temp
it' also sturdy as well which I hope means it will last me for years. one downside though is that it's a bit on the heavy side but i guess that's the material they use to keep the temp so can't have it all
edit: the yeti i got is the number 1 here: https://costnow.com/best-insulated-water-bottle/
I've managed to collect quite a few brands over the years. If you're looking for a top-notch water bottle, both the Owala FreeSip and the Hydro Flask come highly recommended by pretty much everyone, each for their unique features and durability.
The Owala FreeSip stands out for its innovative drinking mechanism. It offers a built-in straw for easy sipping, ideal for staying hydrated on the go without having to tilt the bottle. This feature is particularly convenient during activities like driving or working out. Additionally, you can open it up for a full-flow drink, giving you two options in one design. The insulation quality of the FreeSip is excellent, ensuring your drinks stay chilled for hours. It’s also leak-proof and comes in various sizes and attractive color options, making it as stylish as it is functional.
In contrast, the Hydro Flask is renowned for its robust build and exceptional temperature retention. Made with pro-grade stainless steel, it’s designed to withstand rough handling and still last for years. Its insulation capabilities are outstanding, keeping beverages cold or hot for extended periods. The wide-mouth design of the Hydro Flask is another plus, making it easy to fill, drink from, and clean. It’s perfect for those who prefer a more traditional, no-fuss design but still want the assurance of a high-quality, long-lasting bottle.
Zoj with this version. Zojirushi SM-SA36-BA Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Mug, 20-Ounce, Black by Tokyo Japanese Outlet Learn more: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HYOGUM2/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_81V0A8TCVTH9KG7FP30X
The newer with a different top don’t flip up right. I’ve had mine for years.
Warning! Do not put hot beverages in this with the assumption it will cool. It will not. It takes like 10 hours. Put it in like you want to drink it.
Middle pops out for cleaning. Lid clicks back so it doesn’t hit your nose. I’ve and water will still have ice 12 hours later. Tried other brands but I’m spoiled now.
Zoj mugs don’t go up to 30 ounces.
Edit they have 35 ounce vacuum bottle and a different thermos looking one.
Zojirushi Do have larger ones (the two I linked in the op) but the lids on them are for specific needs, either cold liquids only or canteen style with pourer and cup.
The larger volume pour into a cup. There are 2 versions of stainless steel and one has nonstick but it’s an even larger size. https://www.zojirushi.com/app/category/vacuum-insulated-mugs-bottles first row top 2 and second row first one.
If you go past 20 ounces it pours into a cup. There are no direct drink at 30 ounces with zoj.
Kind of depends on what your looking for. I personally have both a Hydroflash and a Ringo. So kind of depends on what you wanna spend.
I love my Ringo a little more just because I work out so I can put my phone on my water bottle magnetically and watch a show or something quite nice tbh.
I currently use the nalgene silo but I'd like to find an insulated version. 48 oz plus what im looking for. I'd like if it could come with a flip straw kind of lid. If not then have the standard widemouth opening like nalgene. Lots of caps fit that. If possible would like to keep it under $100. Thanks!
I’ve had my Hydroflask for so long the lid leaks (sip spout is jacked) but I’ll be damned if the ice isn’t still frozen after a day and a half still. Husband has the wide mouth lid with a flex cap. It’s beat up a bit but still works perfect. Had them maybe ten years now?
I honestly don’t get how the lid leaks, which means it’s not a water tight seal let alone air tight, yet still keeps drinks cool for that long.
They have a lifetime warranty... Send them an email and they will send a replacement lid.
Hydroflask is good. Dropped mine about 500 times, and it is dented but still holds ice for 48 hrs.
Second this. And seals are replaceable for 3.99 plus ship.
We love using Yeti’s. They hold up extremely well! Durable and leak proof, they also also have a QR code at the bottom, so if you are prone to loosing water bottles, it makes it easier to be returned to rightful owner. Iced drinks stay cold 24+ hours out.
I love the takeya bottles and their standard and coffee lids. The handles are comfortable, and my bottles have lasted years of drops.
My camelbak chute bottles aren't quite as durable. A couple are no longer insulating well, but I prefer the drinking spout on those lids.
I like my takeya 36 or 40 oz... I also have 64oz but I realized it doesn't keep ice water cold for very long.... Compared to the smaller one or compared to my old RTIC 64. The RTIC lid is not as nice as it has to unscrew so I prefer to carry the takeya. RTIC sells a sport lid, after so much use the thread gets worn out and when are carrying it, the bottle will just drop from the lid unexpectedly... I went through two separate Bottles and 4 lids the 64 and the next size smaller I think it is 36 or 40....
I definitely wouldn't pay $100 for an insulated water bottle. The Hydroflask is a great choice for pretty much everyone. Mine has held up super well with tons of dropping and hitting various rocks etc, it's still never had any leaks, and stays cold forever.
I'm looking at buying an insulated water bottle for my girlfriend for Christmas and want to know the best brands that aren't Hydroflask. We both already own hydroflask bottles and find them useless for actually keeping things cold. If we put ice in it fully melts and cold drinks become cool to room temp within a few hours. I'm looking for something that actually keeps water ice cold.
Klean kanteen tkwide 32 oz with twist cap. I can top it up with ice at the start of a day and then continue refilling with tap water throughout and still have cold water all day long.
I have an ozark trail (Walmart) container. Double wall stainless, freakin $11. Amaze-balls. Keeps ice for so long. A day or so, feels like forever. I’ve tried a few other brands, was a hardcore Nalgene bro for a while, even have their keep it cool thing. This ozark trail beats every bottle I’ve tried so far. I’ve got the 32oz or 40oz, middle size. No straw, no replacement lids, no accessories, like 3 colors. But I just haven’t found a better bottle yet.
Oh sorry no Walmart in my country. I should have specified. I'm in Australia so need something I can buy here or can buy online to ship here. Walmart doesn't ship overseas.
Hydrapeak is literally so good, my flask is black and i had that thing sit out in the full summer sun for HOURS and when i went to take a drink it was still full of ice and super cold. Theyre pretty cheap too!
I’ve had my Yeti for a year now. It still looks brand new despite daily use, and the insulation is excellent. Worth the extra money imo for the durability.
While I don't love the way they hide their manufacturing for drinkware I will say they preform as advertised if not better
Ironflask. Pretty straightforward, don't let how cheap they are fool you, they just don't upcharge as hard because they don't advertise. I've bought them for several family members and myself now.
I second this. Mine has been a tank for me
i have the contigo 720ml autoseal bottle right now and tbh its pretty disapointing
its small, not really convenient for anything other than driving, sweats a ton and i cant put it in my backpack because it pushed its button and open it a bit
so ive been looking for a new water bottle
my gf have a 40oz owala water bottle and its pretty good but i was hoping for something a bit bigger
i saw on amazon a 64oz iron flask bottle with a straw but the straw is exposed
if it wasnt then i would probably buy it
do yall have any recommendation for a water bottle i would like that would last?
oh and btw in about 2 months i am going away for the army so i would like a watter bottle i could take with me and wouldnt get destroyed
thanks :D
I have Yetis, Hydroflasks, and a Klein Kanteen bottle. They all work about the same in terms of insulation and durability.
However, Hydroflask has the best warranty of the bunch. I would recommend them over the other brands on that basis.
I NEVER EVER recommend Hydroflasks. They place the weld at the bottom of the bottle, right where moisture gets trapped. The weld eventually corrodes and forms tiny holes. Moisture goes through the holes into the double wall, and proceeds to grow mold. Then when you fill your flask with your favorite beverage, the beverage mixes with the mold, and into your body it goes. Absolutely horrible and unsafe design.
On the other hand, Klean Kanteen places the weld far above the base of the bottle, where no moisture ever collects.
I have beat the shit out of my 32oz Hydroflask for the last 5 years. Still insulates as perfectly as the day I got it.
I have a bunch of Yeti, Klean Kanteen, Contigo, Hydraflask etc.
My favorite in all categories is the Klean Kanteen.
Here to also toot the klean kanteen horn. Tough as nails, minimal packaging, and many are dishwasher safe (usually the non-insulated). Love my half gallon.
I love my Klean Kanteen, been beating it up for 10 years now and besides being a little wobbly from the dents in the bottom, the only real issue was when my mom washed the coffee cup lid for it and left the O-ring on the drying rack before putting it back together for me to take back to school across the country. That’s how I learned that Klean Kanteen has replacement parts on their website and got a new one packed in a simple mailer envelope within a week. Still going strong.
Klean Kanteen is also a b-corp which is pretty bad ass too.
+1 for Klean Kanteen. I’ve had one of their insulated bottles for probably 8ish years. I’ve dropped it multiple times. It is a little beat up but works great. The sports cap (or whatever they call it) works very well.
I have a takeya. Much cheaper than yeti and works very well. I will still have ice water hours after filling it even in the summer.
I only just bought my Takeya, so can’t speak about how long it holds up, but I am very impressed with it! I really like the lid a lot (I didn’t get the straw one, just the regular one), & I like the handle for it. I haven’t bought a second lid yet, but I might do that down the road so I can switch them out every few days & wash one of them. It does a fantastic job of keeping water cold (only thing I’ve used it for so far).
Yeah, it's a good bottle. I've had for over a year and it's held up. One little dent from dropping it but that's a non issue for me. Never any leaks and I love the handle also .
I’ve had a takeya for five years and apart from a couple of little scrapes it’s good as new. Keeps water cold all day.
Hi all,
I’ve always scoffed at people who pay $40 for a fancy water bottle but this summer has been hot and my current water bottle is not keeping water cold at all, so I need to upgrade. I’d like something insulated with a large enough capacity for a 3-5 mile hike in hot weather, not too heavy and not too expensive. Any recommendations?
Hydro Flask with the Flex Chug cap. Keeps water cold and it doesn't leak.
There are lots of insulated bottles in thrift stores, that's where I've picked up a couple.
This is the answer. I carry a Hydroflask that I picked up super cheap for 3-5 mile hikes. If it’s super hot or my partner is with me I will often carry 2. If you’re hiking 30-50 miles it’s worth it to invest in something lighter but these are great for every day use as well as hikes.
Thanks for the tip!
On hikes I use a water bladder that goes in my hiking backpack. I add a lot of ice cubes and it keeps my water cold for six hours. I also carry back up small water bottles half frozen half fresh water as they melt enough to use if I run low for myself or the dogs. In the car is where I leave a giant insulated water bottle waiting for me to rehydrate again if I ran out of water on a hike.
I feel like an insulated water bottle would be too heavy especially a large one to hike with.
Camelbak also has insulated covers for bladders and the hose. It’s very useful for hot weather and cold weather to keep the water from freezing in the hose.
This is what I use too - throw in several handfuls of ice cubes when it’s really hot outside. I’ve had mine for years. I store in my freezer so it doesn’t get moldy between uses.
I raise the hose and pinch to keep the hose from freezing in the winter. Works better than the insulating sleeve.
This is how we do it, too. Large ice cubes made in those cocktail ice cube molds melt much slower than regular ice cubes.
Smart water bottle and sawyer squeeze filterif you’re near water sources. Fresh cold water as much as you want.
The carrier also keeps a bottle of water from freezing in the winter.
Hi!
I’m looking for an insulated water bottle that keeps drinks nice and cold BUT is strong enough to be dropped multiple times a day. I work with kids so it’s easier said than done to just stop dropping it!
I’m currently using a yeti rambler which was great but I dropped it one too many times and it seems like I’ve broken the vacuum seal. Ice melts sooo fast now when it used to stay frozen for hours.
I’d prefer something with a straw/sip lid but not absolutely necessary.
Any ideas?
Get any of the decent brands (hydroflask, Kleen Kanteen, Owala, etc) and put a thin foam sleeve around it.
That will help absorb the shock and make it last longer.
And Hydroflask will replace bottles that lose their insulation capability.
I love my Owala but I have to say it's not BIFL, I've broken a few of their lids and I'm not particularly hard on them.
I'm very pleased with my Owala FreeSip. My wife has one, too. It seems rugged, although I've not abused it and it does keep ice for a long time.
u/quabidyassuance
I second this. I have two of them.
I have a silicone boot on the bottom and it helps prevent dings and drops.
As a construction worker I went cheap to replace as needed. I don't think Yeti is much better than the economy brands.
Ozark Trails has solid options.
Yeti bottles actually do have thicker steel than the other popular brands so they do last longer
GSI Microlite. My partner wants drinks to be as cold as physically possible for as long as possible and I got the 1L bottle. It’s been dropped plenty of times over the last five or so years and it’s all dented up, but it still works great.
I need some help in choosing a good insulated water bottle. Currently torn between the Zojirushi 20oz and the Kleen Kanteen tkwide 20oz with the straw cap. Just wanted to know which is the better water bottle. I’ll mainly use it for work and travel where i hope to put it in my bag and not worry about it leaking.
For the people with the Zojirushi bottle is it hard to clean?
I got a large steel Ozark Trail water bottle from Walmart about 5 years ago and it's still working great. I work construction and I beat the shit out of this thing and it keeps on chugging.
+1 to Zojirushi. One of the best insulated water bottles I've ever owned. It's really slender so I managed to carry it around in my front pocket of my shorts in the summertime. It's also really easy to clean. Like others have said, it all comes apart to easily clean. Made in China or not, they are the best company for keeping stuff hot or cold, hands down.
Ok thanks! I’m waiting for mine to arrive, i heard people try to stop the top lid from opening too fast since there’s a chance that it might break off. Is this true?
I've had mine for 4 years. Dropped it countless times on concrete floors. Never once has it ever broken in any fashion. This is the first time I've ever heard of this concern.
Having used both brands, I’d say they’re both good choices. Since you don’t want to worry about leaking, get one with a locking cap or twist to close type.
Which of the two do you prefer? How hard is it to clean the zojirushi one?
I prefer Zojirushi as the mouthpiece is more useful when drinking liquids as opposed to the wide cap on Klean Kanteen.
It’s easy to clean. The lids are easily separated from the mouth piece, stopper and gaskets. All parts are replaceable. I just wish they weren ’t Made in China.
Kleen kanteens dent real easy
Yeti Rambler if you're willing to go a bit bigger and spend a little more. Has been more than worth the money for me after owning several insulated bottles and putting them through hell. Plus, it's fully dishwasher safe and easy to replace the plastic components (lid, etc) which makes it BIFL so long as you don't run it over with a bulldozer or something.
I'm currently in the market for a quality water bottle, because I'm tired of glass and I hate how much plastic bottles I use (even though I try to re-use them). The bottle would mostly be used to be filled with iced water and maybe tea at times (I'm talking maybe once per month). My wishes for the bottle would be:
I'm from Europe, Slovenia more specifically if that matters for availability. I've read some good things about Hydroflasks, Yeti water bottles and Zojirushi ones. Anyone want to share their experience with those?
Thanks for all the help:)
I love their 360 pour, all stainless, insulated thermos. For insulated bottles, it strikes me as the most BIFL.
I got a hydro flask before they were cool, I've heard the quality has gone down since. But mine is still like new after 8 years. Only metal bottle I've ever not gotten a taste from.
I second Klean Kanteen. I've had mine for 5+ years, I only drink from that while at work and also most of the times at home. I have an insulated version and it is one of the best buys of my life. It can hold a beverage cold for extremely long even in direct heat. I have purposefully dropped it down the concrete stairs to see how durable it is. I managed to get a tiny dent in it and that's all. I just throw it around and it's just as good as new, I couldn't recommend it enough
I really like my Owala. It's the only water bottle I've experienced that has a straw with a mouthpiece that's large enough to clean.
My flip top hydroflask mouthpiece always gets scuzzy because there isn't a good way to clean/dry it out
Love my FreeSip. Easy to clean, easy to use, keeps water cold, fits in my car cup holder.
What kind of Owala do you have? I heard good things about them but when I got one for my kid (she wanted something larger than her 14oz Contigo, so I got her the 18oz Owala) and I just hate how the flip top straw leaks so much water. And then when I took the mouthpiece out, there was a ton of mold buildup. 🤢 We’re going back to Contigo.
I will add a vote for Yeti because they're also dishwasher-safe. That may not be an issue for you, but for me this is the defining difference with every similar product that I have considered.
This! Also as a side note their kids cups are indestructible it seems. Very well made product, that is worth the hype when it comes to water bottles.
I really like Owala! I know it’s hyped, but that thing will last me forever. You can drink through a straw or sip/chug. Insulated metal and heavy plastic drinking mechanism. I love the wide mouth (makes filling with ice so easy). It also fits well in the hand because they design two of the sides to have a flatter edge, so it’s really easy to grip! I’ve dropped it like three times. It has dents and scratches, but I’m sure it will last forever. Also, the insulated part of the lid that usually gets really nasty?? super easily removable and washable.
Yep and they have a millions sizes and shapes for what ever OP needs. I also like hydro flask for this but I don’t think they have as many options.
We have had bad luck with hydro flask lids leaking!
I'm a big fan of the hydroflask Insulated water bottles, have held up great for many years. Mouth is just big enough to squeeze an ice cube in there.
I have regular non-insulated hydroflask bottles my elementary age kids use, and they have stood up great. They have been dented and dinged, but I've literally hammered them back into shape and they keep working.
Definitely recommend.
I currently have this guy and got a bottle that looked similar to it for my girlfriend. Yesterday I dropped hers and it dented the crap out of it. I have used my bottle as a hammer to bash a terminal back on my car battery and it's just scraped up. That guy was a promotional item for some movie and I was wondering if anyone knew of a steel bottle brand that makes tanks like my trusty friend there?
It's nothing fanc and isn't steel like OP requested, but I love my Nalgeen Oasis Canteen. I have a bit of a water bottle obsession. I've tried many brands, sizes, and sizes in search of the perfect water bottle. Every time, I come back to the humble Nalgeen Oasis Canteen.
Here's just a few of the many reasons why I'm obsessed with this bottle: It is the only large-ish bottle I can easily hold with my tiny hands. It fits well in purses and backpacks. It's holds a decent volume (32oz). It's cheap ($8.61 on Nalgeen.com). It's durable. Doesn't dent. Hard to crack. No paint color to chip off. It's super light weight.
The only reason I've tried to find a replacement is because people seem compelled to comment on it. Most people start telling me stories about their days in the military, or how it reminds them of their grandfather's canteen from war. They're great stories....but I just want to drink my water, not start a long conversation. Then there's the obnoxious few who make jokes about how it's probably filled with an alcoholic beverage. As a recovered alcoholic, I loathe those remarks. I wish people thought more before opening their mouth to speak... And just let me drink my water in peace.
TL;DR Get the Nalgeen Oasis Canteen. You won't regret it.
I'm sure it's a great bottle. Though I'm specifically looking for something that will fit in a cup holder, and something that won't get uncomfortably warm in the Florida heat
Edit: since you mentioned looking for a new one let me recommend NOT getting a bottle from Mira on Amazon.
Oh yeah, if you want to be able to leave it in your car when it's hot outside, you'll want an insulated bottle. Hence your request. My Nalgeen would get hot if I left it in the car but I always carry it with me.
I'm also a huge fan of KleenKanteens. I run mine through the dishwasher even though they say to hand wash. This has caused the exterior paint to start chipping but of course doesn't affect the quality of the bottle. Still keeps cold drinks insanely cold all day regardless of the temperature outside. Like literally zero ice melting.
Hydroflask or Klean Kanteen. Lifetime warranty, excellently built. I personally prefer Hydroflask standard mouth.
I checked out the sport bottles for both and the reviews say they leak. That's all I want in life. A water bottle that is accessible to drink from during my labor job that doesn't require unscrewing and it doesn't leak. I've never owned a "sport" water bottle that doesnt leak in some way. I'm starting to believe they don't exist.
Hydroflask
or Klean Kanteen
I bought a klean kanteen recently, and so far I love it. Had it for about 2 weeks and it doesnt leak, keeps my water ice cold in a factory. It isn't too hot in the factory but water in a regular bottle gets warm after about an hour and half. Klean keeps it cold for my whole work shift of 10 hours without ice. Some people seem to have issues with the cafe lid leaking. I have the cafe lid and it never leaks. My research has led me to believe that the cap was just not reassembled correctly by the other people. Cant attest for its durability yet as I haven't dropped it or used it as a hammer, but there are reviews for that out there.
I've dropped my KleenKanteen numerous times. It has a few tiny dents, but honestly I think any bottle would dent a little. I'm rough with my bottles and KleenKanteen has held up well. I've never had issues with leaking.
Lol the hammer thing isn't a common occurrence, just something that it needed to do in that moment
Anybody know of a really good bottle that’ll last me. I’m looking to put stickers on it so it should be kind of smooth and money is no issue, I want the best of the best
I have a hydroflask and I will never use anything else ever again. Ice stays cold, doesn't leak, easy to clean, stickers stick well to it, I can't sing the praises of this thing any louder. It's amazing!!
I have a 5 year old hydro flask that I use for water and it never sweats and the water stays cold with ice for days.
Absolutely another hydro flask vote. Hands down the best water bottle I’ve ever owned.
Plus one to the hydro flask, really well made product
I went down this rabbit hole last year and settled on the Yeti Rambler with the flip-top spout thing, in the 28 oz size so it still fits in most cup holders. They just don’t leak, and keeps water cool all day long.
I live with my yeti rambler by my side. Florida here and it’s just not possible to not have a water bottle on you at all times. I go to local water store and pay $1.25 for 5 gallons of RO UV light filtered water. You do need to clean the rubber o ring gasket frequently as they build up mold.
For me, the Stanley trigger action is amazing. Vacuum insulated so stuff stays cold or hot for the whole work day, very easy to use and won't leak and has a big opening so it is easy to clean.
I’m a little bit jaded on Stanley right now. My wife got gifted a Quencher Cup for the holidays, and all that thing ever did was leak when tipped over, and grow mold. On top of already having enough water bottles in the house, I’m going to assume your experience is wonderful, as it’s a cup made by a company that’s been around for what I assume is, 100 years.
Although, I’m not opposed to the Stanley brand, when my current water bottles finally kick the bucket in about 50 years, I will keep your recommendation in mind.
Nalgene, they also sell replacement lids when the connector part to hold the lid on breaks. They also have inserts you can buy and wash out that make the wide mouth easier to sip from so it doesn’t all spill.
Good to know there is a Union made water bottle!
Nalgene is by far the best BIFL product. They make mouth pieces for it if you dont like the wide mouth
I recently got a new lid for my wide mouth with both a straw and smaller screw top for bigger drinks and i’m absolutely in love.
best insulated water bottles
Key Considerations for Insulated Water Bottles:
Material: Look for stainless steel bottles, as they are durable, resistant to rust, and do not retain flavors or odors.
Insulation Type: Double-wall vacuum insulation is the best option for keeping drinks hot or cold for extended periods. Some bottles can keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours.
Capacity: Choose a size that fits your needs. Common sizes range from 12 oz to 64 oz. A 20-32 oz bottle is ideal for daily hydration.
