Whether you prefer intense thrillers or light-hearted romances, there's a wide array of Korean dramas available on Netflix to suit any taste.
So on Netflix I watched skycastle, mine and yeah... So I need rlly good shows on NETFLIX
For me, the best one and a must see kdrama in Netflix is Mr. Sunshine, that drama is just beautiful, as a whole I thought it was perfect, loved the characters, writing, music, cinematography, aesthetics, everything is beautiful.
Mr. Sunshine is definitely THE best Korean drama I have ever seen! I will always recommend it for its depth and beauty.
Omg thx sm but what's the whole theme of it. Is it sad, happy, thriller??
It is a drama set at the end of Joseon period and the beginning of the Japanese occupation of Korea, which lasted from the end of 19th century to 1940something, it is a love story, but it is a sad story, I assure you tho, you won't regret watching this beautiful drama
There are a ton of quality shows on Netflix, you can use Mydramalist to find some as well but I’ll list some of my favorites

Edit: forgot Crash Landing on You...my bad 😫
Itaewon class😭❤️
My Mister - A very emotional slice of life drama about two people who save each other. The emotional impact of this drama is exceptional. I think this is the best Korean drama that I've watched. It is slow and takes 3 or 4 episodes to get going.
Romance is a Bonus Book - This drama follows the employees of a book publisher. I love the characters and plot. It has a very satisfying ending. This is the first drama I watched twice.
One Spring Night- A realistic slice of life romance about a single father and a librarian. I love what the son says when he first meets the FL!
It's Okay to not be Okay - A romantic drama about mental illness with interesting characters and a lot of style.
Her Private Life - The leads work at a museum and FL runs a fansite for a K-pop idol.
Hospital Playlist - A medical slice of life drama about a group of friends who all work at a hospital and play in a band for fun. Very heartwarming.
Navillera - A slice of life drama about a grandfather who wants to learn ballet. It's very heartwarming.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha - A dentist moves to a small town and meets the local handyman. This well done romanctic comedy has lots of interesting characters.
Search: WWW - This drama has 3 strong female leads and I thought it was well written. The plot involving internet search companies is interesting and unique. Romance isn't the focus and the romance in Search: WWW unsatisfying but not sad. The cinematography is among the best in a Korean drama.
Familiar Wife - This time travel drama has a slice of life aspect as the ML works in the branch office of a bank. It also makes an interesting statement about the choices we make in life. Familiar Wife has my favorite joke in a Korean drama, "Why does a chicken coop have two doors?"
All of Us are Dead - Zombies
Squid Game - Game that makes people die
Crash Landing on You - Soldier hides a hottie that crash lands in North Korea
Vincenzo - Action/Comedy
It's Okay to Not be Okay - Ice Queen is Icy
Extraordinary Attorney Woo - Autisim in the best way
Mr. Queen - Man in woman's body equals funny
The Glory - Revenge and they deserve it
Bloodhounds - Bromance
Flower of Evil - Is your husband a killer?
My Name - This is the best action show on Netflix and stars a female lead
Somebody - Creepy thriller
Welcome to Waikiki - Comedy
Extracurricular - Just watch it
Love to Hate You - Rom Com
Mask Girl - might be my new favorite K drama
Like Flowers in Sand - You can't help but root for this good boy himbo
Good list. I will add:
Little Women 3 sisters struggle to survive in dangerous circumstances and some gothic flair around some murders
Lost. Superb slow burn indie drama beautifully produced.
Kingdom a twist on people getting virus from some mysterious plants given to a dying king a scheming second pregnant wife is trying to keep alive. Crown prince from first marriage is only one to help.
Marry my husband Twinkling watermelon Penthouse season 1 2 and 3 Doctor slumpp Etc there are manyy btw lol
Kingdom is amazing. I never would have thought you could combine period costume drama with zombie action, but it works. It terrifyingly works. Even better, the typical costume drama in-fighting drives the plot.
Yeah it’s brilliant. It’s like a well made movie only with episodes. The acting and cinematography. And the story is like a fable that’s relevant for today even. And I still hope they can make season three.
We're watching Gyeongseong Creature and it's a pretty decent horror/drama
This is another newer show I have not seen yet. Thanks
I have not watched that yet. My “to watch list “ for kdramas and c dramas is vast and endless. 😁
I would also add
Business proposal- (romantic comedy)
Uncanny counters 1-2 ( action -fun)
Start up! ( competing for better life )
Hello, me! (Time travel your younger yourself -comedy)
there are many more I can add.
Business Proposal was cute
I don't think I finished the first season of Uncanny Counter. I need to revisit it
I usually am not into the time travel shows
Thanks for recommending hello, me. Super healing drama siya for my situation now 🥲🥲
Season 1 was so awesome. It really is hard to compare to anything else. Cast ensemble was the greatest ever. I'm so glad FL did not return for season 2. The rest of the Cast was amazing for 2 and what they had to work with. The writing for the FL plot was awful.
Uncanny Counter is similar in a different way n great. I loved AoS didn't watch S2 because of all reviews n main character wasn't in it.
incredibly bored right now and want something to watch!

It really depends on what genre you want to watch. I can try to provide more details if you specify, but I’ll list out a few in each category that I liked:
Currently airing: Under the Queen’s Umbrella (sageuk/historical)
Thriller/Suspense
Horror
Slice of Life
Rom-com
probably feeling some romcom right now haha. i’ll check all those out though thank you!!
Business Proposal is more tropey but refreshing and funny; also really liked the second lead couples (some tropes: >!CEO ML and employee FL, blind dating, fake couple!<)
The Beauty Inside has an interesting synopsis that almost turned me away but I really liked it (plus the OSTs are great)
Mad for Each Other is hilarious and unconventional but also deals with mental health and some more serious topics
Extraordinary Attorney Woo focuses on multiple court cases throughout, and ML is one of the greenest flags out there
Attorney Woo is a Rom-Com? Nooooooo! I don't watch those. The relationship with Joon-Ho was one of my favourite bits though, apart from the Cetacean epiphanies and the unintended sas.
Itaewon Class is also quite good and also not a romance. 🤥
I liked Hometown Cha Cha Cha. It may not be everyone's taste, but those dimples. 🥰
I also liked Tomorrow, Uncanny Counter, K2 and My Name. My Name is just slightly violent.
But… isn’t Hometown Cha Cha Cha a romance?
Vincenzo!!!!!
I cannot recommend this drama enough. What a brilliantly written roller coaster of a show.
I so agree! I have it on repeat! SJK is the man! It’s my #1 kdrama. 💝
Also bored so I am rewatching Mr. Sunshine. So good, cinematography, actors, chemistry, and storyline 🥰🥰
It took me forever to finally watch this one…soooo good
arthdal chronicles
vagabond
So I've watched Crash landing on you The Good Bad mother Reply 1988 Pachinko What's wrong with secretary Kim The tale of the nine tailed 18 again The Glory My name Mr.Queen All of us are dead Please share anything similar to them
That is a broad spectrum.
Anyway, here goes:
There’s a whole subreddit dedicated to this, and your list is pretty broad. I watch all of it, but prefer the darker stuff like The Glory and My Name. I would suggest Extracurricular, Vagabond, K2, Flower of Evil, Bad and Crazy, My Mister, Kill Boksoon (movie).
Other stuff, search.www, our beloved summer, it’s ok to not be ok, itaewon class, sky castle.
Which SubReddit is dedicated to this ?
r/kdramarecommends - It's not exclusively for Netflix shows, but there are many threads that specify the platform
This
Sweet home (action, monsters), Sound of Your Heart OG(comedy, stupid but fun), Because this is my first Life ( romance, marriage of convenience)
25 21 was really good I thought.
My favorite Korean show I’ve watched so far is Vincenzo though.
2521 was soo good I've watched it Vincenzo is in my list
Just finished Vincenzo. Probably my favorite series that I’ve watched in a long time!
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is pretty great
I recently have watched the King, Business Proposal and All of Us Are Dead. If anyone have recommendation what next should i watch on netflix?
Is atorney woo a k drama? If it is then you should watch it. If you like law shows with a some drama, you should watch it.
I liked Castaway Diva.. it has the same actress as Attorney Woo
K drama just means any narrative Korean tv show. Basically all Korean tv shows outside of things like game shows, news, or whatnot.
I wouldn't recommend kingdom to someone who likes attorney woo.
I think K drama is just what it says...a Korean Drama.
Thank you for this recommendation. Just started watching and love it!
Understandable! It is very dark and intense. Some other recommendations I forgot are Sky Castle and Little Women, great shows.
I liked the other lawyer who hated woo but always helped her then they became friends.
Bloodhounds is a great crime/action drama. Two young boxers run afoul of some shady loan sharks but receive assistance from a reformed loan shark.
+1 for Bloodhounds. Binged it yesterday & it's fantastic.
Also, DP (Deserter Police, you dirty minds) has a similar feel & loved that one as well.
Silent sea. Sci fi Earth where water is scarce.
Tbh I'm only 4 episodes in but really liking it so far.
There is a lot of good K-Drama, especially if you like the romcom type, here is some of my recommendation :
Start Up : business tech start up company
Crash Landing on You : romcom about south korea and north korea couple
Kingdom : zombie apocalypse in ancient korea setting

Crash Landing On You
The King Eternal Monarch
Our Beloved Summer
Because This Is My First Life
Mad For Each Other
Flower of Evil
These are my faves on Netflix! They are all a mix of genres. Currently airing is My Demon and Welcome to Samdalri which are both great too!
2nding Flower of Evil. Crash Landing on You- its a gateway drama for most of us. And a verrry solid start
My Mister is another amazing one that lives rent free. Well paced story that has a ton of heart but is not overly dramatic.
I'm adding Itaewan Class here too.
I just happen to have a spread sheet with all the Netflix Korean content I've consumed over the last four years. [Sorry if this is TMI....]
In the US, Netflix has the most Korean content. I ended up subscribing to Rakuten / Viki as well.

Unfortunately not all of these are on Netflix anymore 😥 (Bride of Habaek, Cafe Minamdang, Chicago Typewriter, Crowned Clown, Gaus Electronics, Hwarang, I am not a robot, Law Cafe, Live up to your name, Love in contract, Love is for suckers, My love Eun Dong, Piece of your mind, Red Sleeve, Revolutionary love, Search WWW, Touch your heart, Weak hero class 1, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim). I know some for sure have left, but maybe others go by different names? I would love it if I could figure out how to watch these on Netflix if anyone knows if I got something wrong!
Yah, Netflix has been removing shows lately. I loved "I Am Not A Robot", "Live Up to Your Name" and others...
same thing but probably because they became available in limited countries, so you can use vpn and change the server/country your kdrama is available in.
make sure to use a good vpn app tho
Omg I love your list and only found kdrama on Netflix Australia like 8 months ago.
Amazing list I also have a running list. I noticed something on yours though. You haven’t watched Backstreet Rookie? I would definitely recommend that. I loved it! Rest of my list you watched tho lol
I watched Backstreet Rookie on Viki. I preferred Ji Chang Wook in Healer. I hear his new work is good but haven't seen it yet.
all have romance and drama.
Hometown Cha cha cha is such a great show and it has a lot of different genre elements. If you want a feel good comfort watch give it a try, it’s my favorite drama!
I've seen a few Kdramas on Netflix and LOVED them. Crash Landing On You, Mr Queen, Business Proposal, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Start Up and Welcome to Waikiki were all amazing. I am a little lost as to what to watch next though. I don't hear people talking about the other titles on Netflix as much so I would love any Netflix recommendations that are not excessively sad or gory/scary.
Fluffy Rom-Coms:
Youth Dramas:
Family melodramas:
Historical:
Romance Dramas:
Modern Fantasy:
Slice-of-life:
That's a really good list but we're talking about Netflix and you systematically missed all dramas of the son of Netflix???
Nevertheless - romance, drama
My Demon - fantasy, romance
Forecasting Love and weather - romance, comedy
I'm tempted to say Sweet Home too just for Song Kang (S1 is good in its own right tbh, S2 not so much imo) but it can get gory in parts
Well, all the dramas I have listed are some of the best in each category (according to me) that are available on Netflix and are not dark dramas. I am sorry but None of his dramas are worthy to be on this list.
I would have happily included Sweet Home S1 (I love this show) BUT yeah, as you said, its gory and scary.
Yesss my demon. Stopped watching after first ep thinking it’d be too cheesy but super glad I came back around to it. Loved the chemistry, the main leads look soooo good together <3
I only recently watched Nevertheless and the kiss scenes in it are *spicy*, it was really great.
This is an amazing list! OP, start with Reply 1988 from this list
I already started Its Okay to Not Be Ok, but I will make sure to watch that one next! I have a good list now :)
I second it . It is one of the best kdramas ever!
i really recommend our beloved summer! one of the most well-written romance dramas
Along with what others wrote, I really enjoyed the premise of Hello, Me! It’s not like other shows and really makes you think, plus it’s pretty funny.
You have to watch Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Like Flowers in Sand- such a fun small town vibe and slice of life shows.
I have already mentioned Castaway Diva under the youth show category.
Don’t forget Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung!
For some time now I've mainly discovered Korean series for myself. It's very refreshing to see stories from a different perspective. The culture, life and traditions are partly very different from Europe and it is fun to learn more about them.
I especially liked Money Flower, Vagabond, Kingdom and My Country. I'm looking for other gems.
Can someone recommend something great that I should definitely watch?
Signal was quite a good thriller. I also like Midnight Diner, it is a Japanese drama though.
I will second midnight diner and midnight diner: Tokyo stories. Very light hearted episodes centered around a dish and story. Not Korean but gives some perspective on Japanese food, culture and society.
Signal is dope!
Reply 1988! It does a marvelous job immersing you to South Korea 30-35 years ago, and is carried by an insanely good cast dynamic. You'll feel nostalgic for a time and place you've never been to (unless you've been to South Korea in the 80s-90s, but that's beside the point).
SO GOOD and wholesome, I love that there's very little drama. I grew so attached to all the characters and was so sad when it ended. Have you seen the other Reply series? I watched a few episodes of each and was literally pissed that they were so incredibly bad!
The Uncanny Counter has been one of my favorites. Definitely worth a watch
I'll 2nd Uncanny Counter, and also add Extracurricular. I'm not a huge K Drama fan, but I really enjoyed both.
Crash landing on you is amazing!
It's Okay to not be Okay
The only Korean show I've ever watched is What's wrong with Secretary Kim and I liked it even though the cheesiness made me cringe. Can someone recommend me any good shows to binge-watch
This is late. I like: “The Uncanny Counter” “Alchemy of Souls” “BLOODHOUNDS” “BLACK KNIGHT”
Something in the rain?
None, go back to sleep.
If you like Realistic dramas:
Romantic Comedy / Dramas:
