TL;DR
Photomath and Symbolab
Photomath is frequently recommended as a versatile app for solving math problems, ranging from simple arithmetic to more complex calculus [3:1],
[5:8]. It uses your phone's camera to scan and solve equations, providing step-by-step solutions. Symbolab is another popular choice that offers detailed solutions and explanations for a wide range of mathematical topics
[3:2],
[5:9].
Khan Academy and Art of Problem Solving (AoPS)
For those looking to learn and practice math, Khan Academy is highly recommended. It covers a comprehensive range of topics from pre-algebra to advanced calculus and is available both as an app and a website [4:3],
[4:9]. AoPS is praised for its challenging problems that encourage deep understanding and problem-solving skills
[4:1],
[4:2].
Desmos Calculator and Microsoft Math Solver
Desmos Calculator is particularly noted for its graphing capabilities, making it a great tool for visualizing algebraic functions [5:1],
[5:2]. Microsoft Math Solver is another reliable option that provides solutions for a variety of math problems and includes features like showing multiple solving methods

I've been looking for this, but couldn't find it. The only ones which I found are those "2 + 8 - 7 * 3" type of apps.
Is there an app that starts at, for example, simple algebra and goes up to more complex calculus? Bonus points if it's free.
I feel a bit weird asking here, - I'm not really looking to learn math, I'm trying to find fun problems to solve - but r/math removed my post, so here I am.
Symbolab!
maybe try khan academy
photomath
I find myself spending way too much time playing mobile games, I was wondering if there was an app that encompasses the entirety of mathematics. An app where I could practice, learn, and then go up a level. Like algebra 1 into 2 / calc 1 into 2 ect
Since everyone else has already mentioned khan academy, i'll add aops (art of problem solving) to it. Though its a forum, there are lots of problems at many different levels being discussed. And the discussions are enriching if you know what to pick up.
Apps is a little restricting. There are no plenty of amazing YouTube channels, websites, and textbooks for math
Khan academy (app and website) has everything you need for high school and some undergrad math (nothing proof based as of today). It’s got Pre-algebra, algebra 1, high school geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, PreCalculus, AP statistics (introductory college level statistics), AP calculus AB (calculus 1 mostly), AP calculus BC (calculus 1 and calculus 2 in one course), multivariable calculus (calculus 3), differential equations, linear algebra, upon a few other things
MIT’s open courseware has a fuck ton of shit from like, algebra 1, to the calculus series, to topology, abstract algebra, analysis (advanced calculus), and more
Khan academy is a website tho
I found an app for it though. Thanks!
Could you link me the app plz
It covers pretty much everything so it's my first port of call if anyone asks this question. It's free
While this isn’t an app, ArtOfProblemSolving.com is simply fantastic. It doesn’t just present you content and quiz you, it always gives you problems just beyond your understanding of the topic which is the best way to build intuition and problem-solving skills. They have ebooks that go up until calculus.
Will check it out. Thanks
Khan is good for covering everything brilliant is good for getting your brain thinking.
Math Solver (from Microsoft) or Desmos Calculator. Works like charm
Can it solve geometry stuff? Like shapes etc.
desmos is really good for graphing considering it has a graphing calculator on the website. before i had to go out and buy a TI-84 calculator, i used desmos.
Haven't tried geometry stuff yet. But algebraic functions and stuff like that will work fine
Photo math
What would you rate it?
I have used it before and I always have gotten the answers right when I do so it’s definitely reliable. But sometimes it will show you 2 different methods to solve a problem which can have different answers. So make sure you press the method that you are doing.

Dice roller is cool! Will leave review.
One suggestion- after tapping to roll for split second I can see the „new” number before dice starts to spin, which sort of ruins anticipation. Perhaps would be good idea to see „new” number only after the spin?
Happy to describe in more detail if not clear.
Thanks!
Thank you sir
You’re welcome ☺️

Yeah but I need help with this one type of problem and the way he's doing it isn't getting through me
Try PhotoMath
Try Wolfram alpha
I think Microsoft Math fits this description.
Like maybe evaluate where your at and give you a math problem a day?

Microsoft Math has a quiz section based on the problems you've put into the solver. It's a little janky, but for most concepts works.

I use Wolfram alpha or mathaway
