I’ve used TCGplayer to buy a good amount of sealed packs and they have reputable sellers on there !

If you're looking to find them in bigger shops I think Smyths and Argos are decent shouts, Game sometimes has stuff but it can be overpriced, HMV can sometimes have newer stock too. Other than that there's a lot of online stores like MagicMadhouse and TotalCards out of the bigger ones.

Most people here avoid Amazon because of their return policy. Pokemon Center website is good when they have things in stock, otherwise it’s ebay and tcgplayer.

Are you collecting or playing? Finding sealed will be near impossible right now. Individual cards can be traded or bought on tcgplayer to make decks

This thread made me feel old. I had no idea this was still a thing. I haven’t heard about Pokémon cards in 25 years. 

Anyone know where to buy sealed boxes at retail price? It’s a barren wasteland out here…

Rally Squirrel Cards in Mint Hill. They have a great selection of cards and have collectors night on some Saturdays to trade with other collectors

The Comic Book store in glassboro normally has them.

When you're at the other places are you asking for them? We found that they aren't leaving them on the shelves so they might have them off the floor.

Also, my wife found out what day cards arrive at our local target so we know when to look. We aren't buying them that often for my son but it helps.

I had the same problem looking for cards for my kid. She doesn’t know enough about them so I just found someone selling opened cards on Facebook. Picked up a box of 700 cards for $20 and she can trade with her friends.

They don’t exist around here there is too much competition and it’ll be that way for a long time, it’s the same reason you’ll almost never find anything good at a thrift store around here, the second it gets in the shelf it’s gone. As far as “mom and pop” stores go they’re just gonna over charge to the point that you might as well buy product online. That or keep trying your luck at hitting a restock 😑

Top Deck should always have stock. That store is massive. Then again, the last time I was there was last August. Have you checked Costco or Fye in Cherry Hill mall?

The cherry hill/south jersey area is tough for pokemon, there is a lot of demand and a lot of scalpers. Many of them would sit at the local targets starbucks all day when they knew restocks were coming. I know several of the targets stopped selling tcgs because of this. Others have already mentioned some of these but the places I would check are:

Top deck in cherry hill (they have a second store now, i believe its in egg harbor township) will always have pokemon. They also have plenty of pokemon accessories and plushes. Only downside is they tend to cost market and can be significantly more then msrp. But the place is massive and all the employees are unbelievably nice.

Comic book store in glassboro is a great spot to check. They wont have has much as top deck and could easily sell out but there pricing is significantly better. From what I've seen is they tend to take pre-orders at msrp or close to it.

Gamestops in the area, I've learned from trying to get the final fantasy mtg drops, tend to have pokemon stuff on Fridays when they open. There will be a line and they will sell out but they are fair and have hard limits so if your there early enough you will get something.

Hobby Vault in Maple shade is another place worth trying. I have only been in there a few times but from what I have seen they have been selling pokemon and sell at a reasonably fair price on release. There discord community is pretty active as well.

PDKNine in Mount Laurel is a spot I dont think a lot of people know about yet. They are a board game cafe and coffee shop that has started selling tcgs. They have been hosting pokemon trade and play events as well as bingo where they give away packs/etbs of the new sets. They do not get a lot of product but they do tend to get stuff when a new set drops and its worth checking out if your in the area.

The area is definitely tough to find stuff but its doable, best of luck!

If it’s a pretty young kid, I used to buy huge lots of cards off EBay. Unless pack opening, set building or current card pulls are the goal

As of last week, the McDonald's happy meal included Pokemon cards! Idk if that's still a thing

Nerd bombers and mckays sometimes have smaller pull packs. If you’re wanting starter sets etc picante, or other card shops in the area have some options that you’d expect to potentially see at target / walmart.

If you want to put together your own packs mckays has a crap ton of loose Pokémon on cards that you can purchase “in bulk” (granted mckays isn’t super local anymore, both Winston and mebane options are a great visit)
