TL;DR
Affordable Parking Options
Several users recommend parking at 375 Longwood Garage, which offers a very affordable rate of $15 for game nights and is about a 15-minute walk from Fenway Park [1:3],
[5:5]. This garage is popular among locals due to its low cost and convenient location. Another budget-friendly option is the Prudential Center Garage, where you can park for $25 if you scan your game ticket upon exit. It's a 20-minute walk to the stadium
[2:1],
[4:2].
Park and Ride Options
For those who prefer not to drive directly into the city, parking at Alewife Station and taking the T is recommended. This approach avoids the hassle of city traffic and parking near Fenway [1:2],
[5:2]. Sullivan Square also offers a large lot and easy access to public transportation
[1:2].
Other Parking Suggestions
Some users suggest parking at the Northeastern University Renaissance Garage, which involves a bit of a walk but is manageable on game days [5:4]. The Museum of Fine Arts and meters in Brookline are other alternatives mentioned for parking
[2:5],
[2:6].
General Advice
Many commenters advise against driving directly to Fenway Park due to traffic congestion and high parking fees [1:4],
[3:1]. Instead, they recommend using public transportation or parking further away and walking to the stadium. If using public transport, it's suggested to wait until an hour after the game ends to avoid crowded trains
[1:9].
New to the area, just went to my first game at Fenway and learned the hard way how hard it is to park there. After circling for 20 minutes I forked up the $55 for a garage 3 blocks away.
For context: came from the Philly area and that stadium is surrounded by multiple giant parking lots literally right next to the stadium. At most $40 for a game.
Any tips for finding better/cheaper parking at Fenway?
Park outside the city and take the T in. Driving to Fenway is a universally bad idea, on par with having Kluber and Paxton anchor your rotation in 2023
Kluber and Paxton catching strays!
Alewife has a parking garage that usually clears out around 5:30-6pm.
Sullivan Square has a large lot as well - it's on the orange line, but you can walk from Downtown Crossing to Park Street underground.
Also, you want to get off at Kenmore. The "Fenway" stop is further away.
Hit the nail on the head. Taking the T is a much cheaper option. Only downside is that they get crammed packed- so if you don’t want to deal with that, I’d wait till about an hour or so after the game to go back on the train—- or leave early
For night games, park at 375 Longwood Garage and walk up Brookline to the park. The evening rate is less than $10.
Here in 2024. Parked here tonight. 375 Longwood Garage is the way to go!! Only $15. 15 minute walk to stadium
Nightly rate bumped up to $35 for weekday games!
Yep, my go to. About a 15 minute walk to the stadium and you save atleast $40 on parking
This was the best advice I ever got. Night rates start at 3:30 and it's $15. Getting in sucked a little with traffic but Getting out was a dream. Hardly anyone must use it because the lot was empty when we left. Zero traffic Getting out of town was a dream
Agree with everyone else. This parking lot saved the day and at $15 plus a close walk, was perfect. Would use anytime going to Fenway.
All these comments are saying how bad of an idea it is but it’s honestly not. I guess it depends where you live. Nothing better than walking to my car at a meter after a game and only having it take 20 minutes to get home. I usually pull off the kenmore square exit then take the first right where BU is. If there’s no spots there I then drive over to Brookline and find a spot there. Been doing it with my parents since I was a kid and do it as an adult now.
That Clarendon parking is usually good. Used it many times coming from Canada
The Sox have done nothing to help. Instead they built a theater where the media used to park, which then eliminated a parking lot for fans when they moved the media to that lot.
Going to Fenway park tomorrow, looking for suggestions on parking garages. Thank you!!!
I Park at Riverskde
I usually just park at the prudential center garage and walk the 20mins or so to the stadium. It’s only $25 if you scan your game ticket after you scan your parking ticket when you leave
Do you need to reserve ahead of time?
Nope
Highly suggest not driving. It's more hassle than it's worth
Meter in Brookline
Museum of fine arts

I’d recommend avoiding parking all all cost. Just adds so much stress.
But if you really gotta drive? Park at Boston common and take the T a few stops to Kenmore. Just be alert walking back to the garage at night - if it’s a night game.
Heading to the sox game on Sunday with my young child and would like to prevent the usual frustration from looking for available parking. Was thinking there had to be some closer spots that could be booked in advance in order to make a smooth transition, but not sure which of the places/platforms are legit. Any guidance is appreciated!
I found the Prudential Center Parking more reasonable at $25 than anything closer to the park. It's about a 20 minute walk to the park. To get the $25 rate, upon exit, you scan your parking ticket first then your game ticket.
My suggestion is to park at the kenmore side of the BU campus (bay state rd specifically) and walk to the stadium. It should be pretty walkable.
I have used Spot Hero in the past but found you pay $10 - $15 more than the normal rate. Last time I parked I saw this sign at the garage advertising thefenway.com and you can reserve parking right there for normal rates: https://thefenway.com/explore/park/
That’s where I park. It’s $45 if you reserve in advance. $60 if you pay when you arrive.
The green house garage was nice, it’s a twenty min walk but i don’t mind on a nice day, and getting back on the highway was easy
Spot Hero App for the win
Hey y’all, is there a secret parking lot in Fenway to park in? Or a secret street close by that would be better than circling the Park?
The T isn’t an option cause I’m driving in from NH. Thanks!
Park at alewife and take the T
375 Longwood. About a mile walk through Fenway Neighborhood, past TimeOut Market, etc. It’s a hospital garage but not an emergency hospital so they charge something insanely cheap like $11 for game nights and other events. I never do anything else if I’m driving/hitting up a concert on Lansdowne!
I park here for every game I go to. It’s a great deal even though it’s not the $6 it was not too long ago.
Yep! I park in the same garage. The walk isn't bad and you do walk by a bunch of places to stop and eat on your way in.
Do you have to prebook at this garage?
Nope! Just rock up!
They increased it to $15 this year but still much better than other options
Northeastern University Renaissance Garage if your up for a little walk.
I go to the pru and show them the ticket stub but that’s no secret lol
TIP for those doing this. if you phone is your ticket, mine seemed to go away after the game, so maybe take a screen shot? Unless someone can tell me how to view the ticket post game.
I don't live in Boston. If I did though and knew of a secret parking spot near fenway, I world never post it on reddit for any jabroni to use
I just like the idea of helping out is all! Stuff’s expensive enough as it is, and it’s a pleasant walk - can’t hurt to literally pay it forward a bit!
Sooo going to my first game. Train tickets for me to get from where I am and to fenway with my guest will be around 45$. I’m thinking of just driving in. Any garages around that price that are close enough to fenway?
Take the train you pay more than that just to park close to fenway. If you can drive to closest green line T station with a parking lot and take T
If you can manage to do so, I’ll also vouch in favor of driving, then parking in a Boston suburb and taking the Green Line. If you’d be coming from the west/north, my favorite thing to do is park at Riverside station just off I90/I95; parking + fare is under $10 and easily available. The only catch is that the T is packed after the game.
Yes, Riverside is definitely the move
Park in Allston near comm ave & harvard ave and take the T in, it's a 15 minute ride
Prudential center has $18 parking if you verify your ticket at the information desk. I think it lasts from 4pm-3am, well worth it imo. And you can pick up the T right there.
You can’t take the E to fenway that’s the station that goes to the pru
Still, you only have to get off once and it's not that far a walk anyway, like 20min max.
I would recommend taking the train. Parking, tolls, traffic can amount to be a lot of time/money. Plus if you take the train you can have another beer or two.
MBTA is much better option for you
Heading to the sox game on Sunday with my young child and would like to prevent the usual frustration from looking for available parking. Was thinking there had to be some closer spots that could be booked in advance in order to make a smooth transition, but not sure which of the places/platforms are legit. Any guidance is appreciated!
Spot Hero… there’s a garage down the street from Fenway that I used when I went to house of blues
I always park at 35 Westland Ave
You can make a reservation on spot hero
Another vote for spot hero, honestly.
Try spot hero.
Depending on which direction you’re coming from parking along the Green line (Riverside or Woodland are our choices, plenty of spots) or the Worcester line is an easy option. In the city we usually park on Comm Ave in Brookline and feed the meter. Have fun at the game.
Please share good(cheap lol) parking spots for Red Sox game starting at 7 pm today . Thank you !
The Prudential garage is $20 if you scan your ticket on the way out before you pay. Put parking ticket in, scan sox ticket, pay.
Riverside MBTA station in Newton. Then take the T to the Fenway stop.
Costs $6 to park and $2.40 each way on the T, so under $11 total. Only place I can think of that cheap in the city would be the Post Office Square parking garage, but it’s only that cheap on weekends.
Post Office Square garage is $9 after 4pm on weekdays.
Parking is $50 near the stadium in every parking lot. Best to park at a station west of the city and take the T into Kenmore. 5 minute walk from there
How do people have visitors in Fenway neighborhood with cars?? My boyfriend doesn’t live in Fenway and can NEVER find a place to park. What’s the solution since there are no visitor passes??
I think there’s been a lot of pressure on Fenway parking over the past decade. Many of the former lots have been built up, and the neighborhood is booming. The only solution is probably whatever pay garage he can find. Or just leave it on the street in a resident zone and roll the dice. He’ll probably get a parking violation, but not certainly.
I was gonna say garage is your beat bet or taking a little hike to the building it's Boston take the train and blue bike the rest of the way
The best way to drive your car into Fenway is to use the centerfield access door beneath the bleachers, just to the right of the "Bleacher Bar" viewing area.
Street parking is not a reasonable ask for that neighborhood (or any major commercial urban area, really), but there are tons of garages and lots in Fenway. Many of them offer lower rates for overnight parking. Use parkopedia.com
If that's too steep, he can probably find parking in Brookline and take the Green Line.
But I want to be able to leave my property on very desirable land right next to my destination, for free.
Why would you drive in central Boston? If y’all want a suburban lifestyle, move to the suburbs.
Exactly there's no reason to drive in Fenway. You can justify needing a car in Westie, Rozzie, maybe even JP - but not Fenway
Park at a T station along the green line and take it in to Fenway.
I have worked next to the Fenway train stop for a year now and this is what I do- I park at a train stop for $9 (the cheapest, reliable parking at Fenway is $20 and that’s not for an overnight spot… garage parking for a day is $42… etc)- on the pay to park app, there are also options for overnight/multiple days. The train ride is only 20 minutes from various Newton MBTA parking lots.
It's perfectly adequate. There's even a green line stop called "Fenway" for all your Fenway needs.
Then drive to a station on the green line, park there, then take the train.
I think Regal Fenway is shutting down.
I’m flying into Logan next week at 5:30p and driving straight to Fenway for a game. Where is the best place to park? I know parking is limited. Thanks.
If you want the simplest/cheapest, park at the prudential garage for $18. 15 minute walk to the stadium. If you park near the stadium, more like $40-50
If you drive around neighborhoods near the park you can look for meter parking, but that’s probly more trouble than you’re looking for.
Awesome. Thank you. Does that garage fill up typically?
I think it sometimes does, but I always get there early enough that it doesn’t matter. There are tons of places to get food around Fenway, so typically if I park in the pru for a 7:10 game I get there at like 5:30, walk 15-20 mins to a restaurant, get food, and go in. If you’re getting there that early, it’ll never fill up
Or save a dollar and 5 minutes parking in the MFA garage or open air lot!
Be sure to keep your game ticket. They require it for the $18 price (after the game).
I just parked at prudential, easy in out and 18 dollars ( If e ticket you go to lobby and validate parking prior to game) walk is easy and tons are going, just follow herd.about 20 min easy walk.
I would not park at fenway. I would park over at the pru and walk over to fenway. The lots by fenway are $60 or more on game days. Just a FYI you will hit traffic getting out of logan and if you land at 530 don't expect to get off the plane until at least 5:45 and get your rental car until after 6 so you might miss some of the game
Awesome thanks. Yeah, I know I’ll miss 1-2 innings (I’m optimistic). But it’s my only opportunity to see a game this year at Fenway, so I’ll take what I can get. Thanks for the information!
check out parkwhiz and sort from low to high. if you dont mind walking, you can get something for about $15.
I was going to suggest this. I used it for a Sox game and something else in Cambridge. It was nice to have that piece of mind but the spot was a mile out, or a twenty minute walk. I'd probably use it again.
Where are you flying in from? Probably closer to there.
