TL;DR
City-Building and Tycoon Sims
For fans of city-building and tycoon simulation games, Cities: Skylines remains a top choice. It offers extensive customization and management options without the frustration of extended build timers [5]. Another recommendation is Pocket City 2, which provides a modern take on town building with a more relaxed pace
[5:1].
Kairosoft Games
Kairosoft games are frequently recommended for their engaging gameplay and lack of real-time constraints. Titles like Dream Town Island and Biz Builder Deluxe are praised for their balance of strategy and relaxation, making them ideal for unwinding after work [5:2].
Relaxing and Immersive Experiences
Stardew Valley is another highly recommended game for those seeking a relaxing experience. Its combination of farming, exploration, and community interaction offers an escape from daily stressors [5:3]. For players interested in card-based roguelikes, Legends of Runeterra: Path of Champions provides a unique blend of strategy and storytelling
[5:4].
Additional Recommendations
Other games mentioned include Dungeon Village, a charming simulation game by Kairosoft, and Balatro, which offers a different kind of strategic challenge [5:5]
[5:6]. These games cater to various tastes within the simulation genre, ensuring there's something for everyone looking to unwind.
Klay was supposed to be the answer to this The what ifs of the 2012 and 2025 Mavs will haunt me
I think we would have won this year. Or at least gotten to the WCF and definitely given OKC a serious test. Fuck you Nico. Fuck you forever.
And you want to win against what is considered the second best constructed team in nba history...
Kyrie pissing down his leg is what lost that series, unfortunately.
Still a chance we lose even with him playing decent but my god that was such a choke job.
I love Kyrie and you’re right
He can't play in boston.
I still bought a 10 pack of tickets for this season. I love Luka and am still sad, but also want to see what Flagg can do and want to raise my kids around the team.
This kind of performance on one leg and still got traded.
Yea his scratched up knee was really impacting him.
And these were mostly wide open 3s, mind you. The Celtics knew PJ was terrible at non corner 3s so they left him as open as humanly possible above the break and he proved them right. It was beyond painful to watch bc I knew PJ would brick it every time.
it was the coldest that iteration of the mavs were ever, by far. people to this day still think we lost cause the celtics defense but we were missing literally everything
I realise I’m in the UK so the times of the games are different for everyone, but there’s a load of games on today and I’m not sure which ones would be the best to watch? I typically follow the Giants but they’re not playing until 1:20am🥲
Go redzone at 6, can’t beat it. And then Dallas Chicago should be good from a narratives standpoint.
This is my plan as the Ravens aren’t on til Monday
What's better red zone or the new channel 5 program?
Redzone is just football. If you love football, you’ll love Redzone. It’s the best way to watch on Sundays if you’re trying to follow the whole league/your team isn’t playing. I’m not aware of the new show, from googling though it looks like it’s free in the UK? Maybe that show will be more geared towards explaining the game, etc as it happens. Not sure. Redzone assumes you know ball though and is very unflinchingly just football.
I can’t tell if that’s a joke or not but redzone
Eagles and Rams will be a great game. Eagles are the de facto leaders of the NFC and the Rams are a solid team every year, if you want to watch good football I’d recommend that.
Bengals and Vikings is maybe interesting if you’re a big NFL fan and want to watch a weird game with two backup quarterbacks dueling it out.
I think 49ers and Cardinals will be a solid game at the later time slot. 49ers have a backup in but it’s a divisional game in the NFC West which I personally think is always kind of exciting. Cowboys and Bears will be a shitfest but maybe entertaining.
I think Dallas and Chicago will be really fun! Two teams with poor defences and big play makers on offense- I see a shoutout incoming
Edit: this is from someone who doesn’t like either team 😂
It’s America’s Game of the Week!
Eagles Rams is the obvious choice in the early a slot, so I’ll have that on the tablet, but as a Pats fan, the main screen will have our game v Steelers on it.
In the late window, Broncos Chargers is probably the choice over Cowboys Bears for me. 2 better teams and probably a more competitive game.
But can always flick back and forth and see what game you’re getting into
if you're a fan of penalties and ultra conservative play calling then the Titans are for you
Hahahaha maybe
In my opinion zombies should be a menace. If they're not, then I'm not interested. I think that was a problem with DayZ for example, at least some years ago. Same with Zombieland, but I admit I didn't see that one, for that reason. I could definitely be wrong.
If you ever played the arma Mod which day Z originally came from they were. Lobbies had moded dogs horrific looking zombies and great sounds. Why they made day z a standalone game and not on the same engine as arma is one of gamings biggest tragedies
I always look for the start of the apocalypse. When society is just breaking down, good chunk of shows and films don’t have that ( albeit very good shows )
it's so hard to find ones that have it smh
For me it's genuine sadness but hope. Maybe the world could have ended even worse had this plague not hit. Maybe with the destruction of the old world, a new better one can be made.
I think the only universal requirement is an apocalypse.
The rest can give room for endless creativity
What a stupid list.
Jay Kelley is DOA and everyone has known that for a month. Nuremberg and Wake up Dead Man have better chances.
Anemone has not screened publicly. Putting it in anything but “Time will tell” is stupid especially if you are putting Wicked in “Time will tell”. We’ve already seen half of those performances and they were nominated. Does that “journalist” think Erivo and Grande just sleepwalked through the rest of the production. I would also say Best Actress and Best Supporting actress are very weak this year as of right now. The “time will tell” doesn’t even have much to make them competitive aside from Erivo and Grande.
Nothing but stupid trade pr bought for by some of the studios to try and spin reality.
What’s the best outlet to get an accurate picture of the race rn? Just GoldDerby?
Gold derby can be slow on the pickup. But it is as good as we are gonna get without daily monitoring of screenings and ratings on IMDb and Letterbox. Those don’t take into account whether the studios are strong in campaigning for Oscars and how many films and in what category each stdio is juggling.
Hey Guys, I’m looking for chill games to play after work. I love tycoon, city-building sims, & Simulation games like Big Ambitions, Cities: Skylines, City Bus Manager but I can’t stand the ones with 5-hour timers just to build something. Any good recommendations? TYIA!
Kairosoft games are very good for this and there are no real clock timers to build stuff. Since you mentioned liking city building and tycoons, I will suggest the following:
Stardew Valley
Legends of Runeterra: path of champions if you like card roguelikes
kairosoft games are really good but if you like town building like a modern one you can try pocket city 2
Dungeon village is my jam
Balatro.
Almost everytime I open steam I check if there's a release date yet. I loved the demo and have been waiting for the game for almost two years now. Can't the dev pleaase end our suffering and tell us the date already??
In the meantime, does anyone know a similar management game that I could play to pass the time? I haven't been able to find any interesting ones lately
They're breaking our balls with this silent treatment
same, I keep checking the store page to see if there is any news.
Please mention that if game is free or not ? If it is not free then mention it's price .
lawn moving simulator
Schedule 1 Enjoy cooking, dealing and become Heisenberg
if its not free then dodi
Plague
openrct 2
openttd
farming simulator
Euro truck simulator
cities skylines 1,2
frostpunk
I already have Powerwash Simulator and so far it's the king of satisfying simulation games. What else is out there that I can sink tens of hours into? I'm looking at Parcel Simulation but read that the endgame automation happens faster that most would like. Is Lawnmower simulator worth it? I tried House Flipper and didn't like it because I'm not into decorating. I've looked at Viscera Cleanup Detail and Crime Scene Cleaner. Viscera seems to have frustrating physics at times and Crime Scene Cleaner seems to be a short experience.
Likes: cleaning, organizing, farming Dislikes: decorating, driving, cute-looking games
Any suggestions?
Farming Simulator or Hydroneer
Hydroneer looks interesting, thank you for the suggestion
If you like power wash simulator, you HAVE to play Crime Scene Cleaner
How many hours did you put in? And is it similar to power wash?
I want to say 20ish. It’s similar to power wash since you are using similar tools. Key difference is you are cleaning up brutal crime scenes. Both are good games, but I prefer crime scene cleaner.
Personally I would suggest satisfactory
Thank you, I already have it. An amazing game but it can be overwhelming at times.
Hasdspace Ship Breaker was my favourite for a long time.
Nice! I remember playing it on my cousin's computer when it came out. How many hours did you put in?
I got 30 hours into it, and got the platinum trophy on PS5. But it was just so chill; I assume this is what the euro truck simulator crowd feels like.
My wife got sucked into Powerwash Simulator but previous things that scratched that itch for her as a casual, relaxation gamer were:
Planet Coaster, and Diablo 3.
Not necessarily similar genre to PWS, but Planet Coaster has loads of nice, chill, atmospheric park landscaping and ride design you can do at your own pace and challenge, and Diablo 3 is in a lovely spot of hugely customisable difficulty and easy drop-in ploughing through hordes of monsters for satisfying rewards.
(Diablo 4 may be newer but is a bit sweatier and less stable than 3 that's in a nice, post-sequel groove).
True! I remember playing Diablo 3 on the PlayStation. Thanks for reminding me :)
I love playing simulator games — the kind that drop you into a world and let you build, manage, explore, or just exist with purpose. Whether it's running a farm, driving across the country, or surviving underwater, the feeling of getting lost in a well-made sim is unbeatable.
The problem? Most of what I find these days either looks like some cheap mobile crap or plays like a rushed asset flip. It's frustrating to sift through dozens of half-baked titles just to find a game that doesn't feel like cheap junk.
I’m talking about the good stuff — games that are polished, immersive, and have actual depth. Titles like Farming Simulator (with its crazy realism and mod support), Subnautica (tense, mysterious, and surprisingly emotional), or American Truck Simulator (chill but deeply satisfying when you're hauling cargo through a thunderstorm at night).
I know there are more gems out there — sims that don’t just simulate but immerse. So I figured I’d start putting together a list of must-play simulator games that don’t suck. Games that respect your time, look good, and actually feel finished.
Uboat
X4
DCS
SS14 (if you are ok with a good dose of silly with your sim)
Barotrauma
Roadcraft / Snowrunner
Software Inc
Derail Valley
Hardspace: Shipbreaker (kinda? eh)
All the subnauticas, but you have to be willing to use a guide to get unstuck if you need it.
Sailwind
Dangerous Waters
There is one interesting simulator game. But you have just your room and your work space. "Hardspace Shipbreaker".
I played Schedule 1 when it launched and I'm getting the craving for another fun simulation-type game with an addictive gameplay loop. Schedule 1 was my introduction to the genre of simulators, and I haven't heard much about games like it, so any recommendations are appreciated! 😁
I haven't played it, but Pacific Drive looks fire
Graveyard Keeper, Travellers Rest, Gas Station Simulator
Dave the Diver
Satisfactory
Yakuza 7 (specifically the business minigame)
