When it comes to choosing the best e-bike for someone who is 6'8", especially from a brand like Specialized, there are several factors and suggestions that can help guide your decision. Here’s a breakdown of the key considerations and recommendations gathered from various discussions:
Fit and Frame Size
Finding an e-bike that fits well is crucial for comfort and safety, especially for taller riders. Many standard bike shops may not carry frames larger than 61 cm, which might be too small for someone who is 6'8" [2:1]. For someone at this height, even a 62cm frame, which fits a 6'4" rider, may still feel too small
[2:3]. It is advisable to consult with a bike shop to see if they can bring in a suitable frame size for you to try before making a purchase
[2:2].
Recommended Models for Tall Riders
Several specific models and brands were recommended by tall riders in the discussions. The Trek Domane AL 3 disc was mentioned as a potential option, although some users expressed skepticism about its fit for someone 6'10" [2]. Canyon bikes, particularly their XL and XXL sizes, were suggested as being more suitable for very tall riders
[2:5],
[2:11]. Additionally, the Dirtysixer brand was highlighted for making bikes specifically designed for extremely tall individuals, though they can be quite expensive
[2:7].
Customization Options
For those who find standard frame sizes inadequate, customizing an existing bike might be a viable option. Some suggest that while getting an XL frame and swapping parts could work, it's generally better to have a bike purpose-built for your size [3:3],
[2:9]. This ensures that the bike feels comfortable and doesn't resemble riding a toy, which is a common concern among taller riders
[1:5].
Consulting Experts and Resources
Consulting with bike shops or professionals who specialize in custom bikes for tall riders can provide valuable insights and options. For instance, Reggie Miller, a known cyclist, has been mentioned as a resource for finding suitable bikes for tall riders [2:3]. Additionally, checking out resources like Dirtysixer can offer more tailored options for exceptionally tall individuals
[2:7].
Considerations Beyond the Discussions
While these discussions provide useful insights, it's also important to consider other factors such as budget constraints, intended use (e.g., commuting, fitness, or off-road), and personal preferences for features like electric assist systems. Visiting multiple bike shops and seeking professional fitting services can help ensure you find the best fit for your height and needs. Additionally, considering aftermarket adjustments such as longer seat posts or stems may enhance comfort for taller riders.

I'm on stage 3 moon with 1600 cat food and I'm wondering if I should spend it on this event or should I wait for ultra souls.
Also 2 extra questions:
should should I save 11 rare tickets for guaranteed uber od does it not work like that?
If I didn't previously spend cat food on rare tickets am I able to get 2 guaranteed ubers from this event for discounted price? (2x 750)
You cannot use rare tickets for an eleven roll. Neo best of the best however, is much less common than ultra souls, only appearing in special events. It's one of the best sets to roll, but in a few weeks, there will be an event called 'superfest' on, and that is probably what you should save your rare tickets for.
Can u give me a short list of best events I should spend on? (With guaranteed uber)
Anything with 'fest' in the name, anything with a guaranteed eleven draw, and the best banners to roll (other than the fest's) are the almightys, the dynamites, and ultra souls. The ones you shouldn't roll is pretty much just the nekolugas. As said previously, superfest is coming up soon (early October), so I'd say save your tickets for that.
Actually it's far from being one of the best banners. Most of the Ubers are either very mid or just decent. Only roll if you really want Agent Staal.
I stand corrected. Wait for superfest
I heard both of the best of the best banners don't have 100% guaranteed Uber rolls on them
Oh you are right
I understand this as it will move all my posts, which makes no sense cuz I’m just trying to move the one post. Also, why is this worded so poorly?? “Main feed back to your all of your posts”?? What on earth!
I'm not a stupid woman but I've been on Fansly for over two months and I still can't fucking figure out the walls 😭 Wish I could be more helpful but I wanted to let you know it's not just you.
This is why i hate this wall business. They made it so complicated for no reason. From my understanding (and i am an idiot so i could be wrong) in order to make a private wall, you have to first move your main wall posts to a separate wall (?????) which makes no fkn sense for people like me that have 10k+ media.
I wish they would just give us a private archive and an easier to understand fyp wall. How hard is that honestly
Literally!!! I’ve been trying to figure it out & I’ve had no luck. I’ve created the private wall, but apparently I can’t move anything to it?? So what is the freaking point!!😤
Fansly will never move your posts. Every single posts gets posted to your “Posts” wall. That’s Fansly’s built-in default wall. When you create a new wall you have to option to make that wall your main wall, make it private and copy posts. Copying your posts means that it will copy all posts from the “Posts” wall to the new one (it will not move any posts, only copy, you always have the “Posts” wall as a “backup”).
It doesn’t really make sense to make a wall you main wall and private, why? Because users see you main wall when they visit your profile and that’s why it can’t be private, your profile would just be empty.
There is one edge case tho, your “Posts” wall can be both your main and private wall. I assume that’s just a fallback, because you have to have a main wall. But like I said earlier when a user visits your profile with both of these set they will not see any posts because it’s private.
I have the following wall setup:
I know this sounds complicated, but it’s not that hard. The wording of that dialogue box in the screenshot is pretty confusing tho and they should probably be a few more hint how this works.
It's not complicated, but for those of us who have a lot of content, it does require discipline and organization to sit down and do this, and do it correctly. However, seems ideal, thanks!
I’m with you. I never know which one to pick. Would love to know if someone has put together a complete guide on how to determine the best one.
You should really ignore the number and focus on the block
Use your fingers and find the smoothest, then go back one and start the next set from that one to fine tune it. So if the smoothest is -5, go to -10 for the next test and you may find the true smoothest result is 7 or 3 or something.
Its not about how the print looks but feels, as the looks can solved with different settings, its a pure flow test.
Is it just smoothest in the very center? What about the edges? Sometimes the edges are kinda rough but the center seems smooth.
Check out Teaching Tech's GitHub! He has a full calibraration guide.
both 15 look pretty good. But with recent printers, I don't see these tests doing anything anymore.
Did you measure any of them?
Hey there, I'm a bot and something you said made me think you might be looking for help! click here for our wiki entry on troubleshooting printers. If you still need help be sure to post plenty of information about your printing setup.
Here are a few questions that might be helpful
What printer are you using?
What material are you using?
What speed are you printing at?
What software are you using to slice the print and control the printer?
When did the problem start/has it ever worked correctly?
Does anything cause the behavior to change?
If posting an image of the problem, include some indication of the orientation it printed at, preferably photograph it on the bed. (Then we can focus on a specific axis)

I would pick 20 and do a second pass. 15 looks great, and 10 has a little underextrusion, so anything below 10 is not good.
-15 and -20
-15 and -20
10
Use a fingernail and scrape across the lines. The smoothest one is your selection. Visually 10 and 15 look good.
Yess 15 seems smoothhhh. So I do 1.15*0.98 and put it in, then do test 2 right?
I think so. It’s been a while since I look at it. The calibration page (linked at the slicer menu) has more details. Orca slicer’s wiki is a bit better but same info will work.
-10 look at number also
What’ve you found best bang for buck in terms of wall oven and induction top? Ideal budget $1600-2000 all up
EDIT: update
Went to kitchen things today and managed to grab a Bosch oven and induction top for just under $2.4k☺️☺️
We have a Miele induction cooktop which is amazing. I don’t know it’s cost
It’s nice to buy high-end kitchen appliances and not worry about price.
We bought the house and the old owner had installed it so we were just lucky
To be fair to the commenter, they could be renting or it was already installed when they bought the house
What a shit, passive aggressive comment. Also adds nothing of any value to the discussion.
I’ve heard Miele is amazing! But pricey!!
We have a Miele dishwasher, it's so bloody quiet I keep opening it when its on a wash cycle
We got a Beko oven and induction top. Not a big brand in NZ yet, but one of the more popular in europe - so good bang for buck.
Look at marketplace. Have a Bosch series 6 oven, and series 6 flex zone cooktop for about your budget.
I took my cast iron fry pan into a show room after having some difficulties with a Bosch cooktop. Their cheaper brand is Neff and it out performed the more expensive Bosch by a mile.
Can't recommend Bosch enough. They have excellent appliances and stand by them. They recently changed a faulty hinge and temp probe socket out on our oven at zero cost to us. The oven was a couple of years out of warranty, yet they recognised that this shouldn't have happened and had no issues doing it. I'll continue buying and recommending Bosch products on this alone. It's a rarity to see brands going above and beyond in this day and age.
We have always wanted a french door style wall oven. Both brands have lots of posts from people saying they hate the brand. The advantage of the Viking is it offers a matching warming drawer. There is a GE french-door offering as well but it feels very cheap in quality.
Both the Viking and the Bluestar come in colors which is important.
Existence of a matching range is unimportant - we are going to have a induction cooktop.
Main concern is just reliability, and I know if that was really the main thing we'd get Miele or something but the door style is very aspirational for us.
Don’t buy either, the side opening Bosch is a better idea as the door goes all the way back out of your way for better safety. With a French door it’s not a question of if you’ll get burned by the door it’s when.
And for the Bosch you have to open it so wide that it’s a huge pain in the ass. French door seems way more realistic
That’s not been my experience. Gaggenau is always an option too
You're not wrong, but... my wife has always wanted one of these door styles, its something she has wanted for years,
Good luck, I understand the wife thing….also the Viking isn’t self cleaning. GE also has a French door model…I just like to point out the potential for getting burned leaving a scar
I’m in the market for a new double wall oven. Requirements are it must be gas and 27" to fit our current space. Any recommendations or ones that you would avoid?
Why gas? It doesn’t work as well as an electric oven.
Disagree with this. My gas oven never over browned baked goods. My new dual-fuel electric oven seems to over brown things regardless of what special setting I use. Electric ovens use the broiler element during the bake cycle to heat the oven and maintain temp. I've tried the "baked goods" setting and other settings to adjust for that but results still not as good as my previous gas range.
Probably doesn't have a 240 volt outlet available where the oven needs to go.
Try GE or Summit
27" gas double wall ovens are pretty rare these days, only brands I can get are GE and a a single Bosch model.
I can't seem to find one either, do you have model numbers by chance? otherwise I will start trying to track down something used for a relative
Hi all. Which brand are you happy with for past 5 years when it comes to wall oven? I only need a single wall oven. Do I need a separate warmer? Thanks!
We have not ever had wall ovens, but I would pick Frigidaire for sure. Their ovens and ranges are pretty nice. GE appliances have been very unreliable in our experience, lasting anywhere between 2-5 years. Haven't heard much good about Bosch, neither.
Bosch wall ovens are quite good for results and temperature management and also keeping the heat in the oven and not heating up your kitchens. They have 2 hour self cleaning cycle where other brands are 4 hours. Bosch ovens are also built in North Carolina
I try to tell people to NEVER self-clean. I've had too many repair guys tell me it's called "self-destruct." Use the steam clean. That being said, Bosch wall ovens are really good!
If you bake a lot, the Bosch 800 series and the GE Cafe are great ovens. Frigidaire Pro is decent. If you don't bake a lot and just need an oven, the Bosch 500, GE JTS5000 and the Frigidaire Gallery are good.
No matter what you choose, make sure there is service in your area if you aren't in a good size city.
I am looking for new ovens and don't have room in the kitchen so they will go in the garage! Does anyone have recommendations? I bake a lot so even temperature, convection, large size (30" min) etc. are very important. Budget: $5k
I assume you don’t have a preference for appearances? You can take a look at scratch and dent appliances to save a bit of cash.
I've looked at a couple of websites but no oven in stock. Will check out more! I'm leaving towards a GE or KitchenAid now
