Majority of the items are bootleg, a.k.a. not the actual item but a fake version from China. If you just want it should get it but if it’s about resale value, it won’t be real.

I think tiktok shop is safe…. Just be careful of who you request samples from.

I've bought 3 items from TikTok shop. I received all of it. I opened a return for 2 items. One they gave me a full refund and I got to keep the item. Second one they charged me for shipping and I was able to send it back

Tiktok shop is legit … I’m a seller and also a buyer on tt shop, but … my card has never gotten hacked. My siblings and mom have also purchased and have never gotten there cards hacked.

but if you’re concerned about it and you have a PayPal or cashapp (or something), etc that you barely use …. You could always only put a specific amount on the card to cover the purchase(s) so if anything does happen it won’t be your bank card getting hacked.

But again, my card has never gotten hacked from purchasing on TikTok shop.

I wouldn’t trust anything purchased off TikTok. I bought some pants off Instagram once and they were the biggest pieces of crap ever. Lasted less than a week before tearing.

I bought Korea skincares, protein cereals and snacks, women multivitamin, and Popmart stuff there.

I only buy from the companies with the checkmark ✅.

I Ike shopping there. The coupons and sales that they offer make them cheaper than buying the same products on amazon.

I sell on tiktok, but I know in very much the exception because I make my products, while a good 90%+ of TikTok shop is dropshipped, cheap chinese crap. There are some legitimate businesses like mine, but they are far and few in between. You gotta see if brands have other social media to prove their legitimacy.

Be careful some times shipping is higher than the cost of the items. And sometimes if the product isn't coming from the same seller shipping won't be combined. Meaning example one item is 20 but at the top the banner says free shipping $30. So you order some other things of TT shop to total 30. But if the additional items aren't from the same seller you will pay shipping on both. I always review my cart and look at the shipping before I finalize. Also be sure to read reviews on items.

Yes! I buy things all the time. If you're struggling to buy things I recommend looking at the reviews! And if you're still nervous then buy something that doesnt cost a lot and see if its too your liking!

2. what they advertise is NOT what you get,

3. its all chinese crap. the kind of stuff you get on wish.com. like, they show you one thing, and you get the crappiest possible version of that item.

ive bought like 4 things off tiktok shop. all crap. i actually did a tiktok (@thescreamincat, my channel) on them and how sucky they were. also, i paid extra for fast shipping. i guess in china, 4+ months is 'fast'

Everything is cheap because the advertisement costs and middle man wages and front of house staff are non existent.. You get what you pay for. If you buy a toy from a real store it costs to pay for staff.. Building rent etc etc etc.. All those costs have to be met before they can make a profit. This is why guitars like Chinese Gibson are £240 but from Gibson you pay all their bills and advertising costs and then they make a profit.. So it could cost £4000 for a guitar and they make a profit of say £240 all their bills come into the £4000 price. I have no problem buying from China as the Gibson factory order their parts from China and assemble them in America and then whack on their bills and their profit..

A lot of it is dropshipped temu/shein garbage. A lot of stuff is a scam on there. But, you’ll get what you pay for. And you can find the occasional good product on there.

I've liked most of what i bought so far from there so far, including a 5 ft bean bag chair/bed that i paid $50 something USD for at the time
