TL;DR Talismans in Elden Ring are scattered throughout the game world, often requiring players to explore various areas and defeat challenging enemies. The locations can vary significantly in difficulty to access, depending on the talisman's power or lore significance.
Old Lord's Talisman Location
The Old Lord's Talisman is a legendary talisman that some players have had trouble locating. It appears to be positioned near the Moon of Nokstella in the inventory [1:1]. However, there have been reports of players obtaining the trophy for all legendary talismans without finding it in their inventory, suggesting possible glitches or confusion about its location
[1:3].
Understanding Talisman Mechanics
For new players, equipping talismans involves accessing slots under your armor in the equipment menu. Talisman pouches automatically expand your capacity to equip more talismans once obtained, with no manual action required [3:2]
[3:5]. This auto-equipment feature can be confusing for newcomers unfamiliar with the game's inventory system
[3:7].
Difficulty in Accessing Certain Talismans
Some talismans are relatively easy to find early in the game, such as the +5 faith talisman, which can be accessed within a short time from the start [5]. In contrast, others like the +5 intelligence talisman require navigating through multiple dungeons, defeating a shard-bearer boss, and overcoming additional challenges
[5]. This discrepancy might be due to the lore significance associated with each talisman rather than their utility
[5:1].
Recommended Talismans and Their Uses
Players have recommended several talismans based on their effects. Erdtree's Favor is noted for boosting health, stamina, and equip load, making it useful throughout the game [2:3]. The Claw Talisman enhances jump attacks, while the Ritual Sword Talisman increases attack power at full health
[2:3]. It's suggested to focus on survivability and damage when choosing talismans, tailoring choices to your playstyle and current game progress
[2:2].
These insights should help players navigate the complex world of Elden Ring and make informed decisions about which talismans to pursue and equip.
Did Anyone found the Old Lord's Talisman location already? I cant find anything about that in the internet.
I got this talisman, but I can’t find it in my inventory. I’m very confused
having this problem too. I have the trophy for all legendary tallis but cant find it in my inv.. Did you manage to find it
Mine is to right of moon of nokstella in talismans
Alright so i’m still fairly new to elden ring and i’m trying to figure out the talismans. I have no idea what i’m doing, right now i have the Erdtree’s favour, Claw talisman, Fire scorpion charm and Ritual sword talisman. I’m playing with Vyke’s warspear
I just have no idea what talismans are good, which ones don’t do much or the locations. I get that talismans are just essential perks that you can equip that do different things but thats all i got
Try to focus on survivability and damage when equipping talismans. Depending on where you’re currently at in the game, the talismans you have now are fine.
Erdtree favor is good for most of the game, claw boosts jump attacks, fire scorpion boosts fire damage, and ritual sword boosts attack power by 10% at max health. I would say go for erdtree favor, claw, and sword talisman, but don't use sword unless you have 3 or more slots.
The only bad talisman I'm aware of makes it really clear it's a bad talisman. You currently have really good talismans equipped, although the fire scorpion charm is more for casting pyromancies or something, not split damage weapons like Vyke's spear.
Browse the wiki's page on Talismans and you can find any that sound useful to you.
Not every slot needs to be a talisman that buffs your damage. There's plenty of useful defensive and utility talismans to choose from too that can be even more useful.
I'm stumped on this. I'm new to the Souls genre and I cannot find out online how to equip Talismans and their pouches. I have a pouch in my inventory, but I cannot equip/use it. The Use is greyed out, I'm not finding any option to edit my Talisman slots anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I'm hoping this will serve as a good search query for others in case this helps anyone else who might be as blind as I am. Being new to this game is a bit overwhelming and I'm still taking in the environment/mechanics
Memory stones and talisman pouches auto equip. Talisman slots are under your armor slots.
Hey I have a talisman pouch but I don't know how to use it it won't let me equip it. Am I missing something. I already beat Godric and went to the two finger lady at the roundtable
The slots show up automatically no "use" needed. Just click the empty box like any other empty slot and your talismans list pops up
As long as they’re in your inventory the capacity is expanded, no action needed. You equip talismans in the slots under your weapons etc.
Talismans are already have slots on your equipment screen. The pouches are used automatically upon gaining them, like memory stones
For the pouch, it automatically gives you an extra spot to equip your talisman, to do so just go to where you would usually equip your armour/weapons
So I've completed the game, including DLC, killed all bosses, got all achievements, collected all items, but I can't find the Elden Ring. Wiki has no information about this item. How do I get it? What does it even do? I heard that it was shattered, but maybe you can give it to a blacksmith for him to mend it? I'm confused guys
You have to kill an old homeless man who thinks he's santa. When he transitions to phase 2, he starts bleeding and realizes his blood is the Elden Ring. After you kill him, make sure to get the blood of the Elden Ring and give it to a little girl so she can paint or something
Already did it. Can Elden Ring import saves from previous games like Dragon Age? I didn't find the option in the menu. Does it do automatically? If yes, what are the changes? Can I import my 748 lvl character with cheated attributes into Elden Ring?
Theres a man somewhere deep in the sewers of Lyndell that might help you. If a woman asks you to to strip naked and enter a room with 3 fingers, YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR.
Oh shit, I did exactly that
have you checked the sekiro dlc?
Also, how do you open a secret chest in Gwenevere's room next to a message "Amazing chest ahead" ?
Hm, that might help. I bought Sekiro GOTY edition, so it should have the dlc, but I don't know how to enter it. Wiki has no information. God damn, wiki is awful. No Elden Ring, no Sekiro DLC. I still don't know how to find John Darksoul in DS1. I was told his quest opens a secret ending where you merry Gwenevere.
Marry*
You want the +5 faith talisman? Sure, its basically a 10 minute run from the start of the game
You want the +5 intelligence talisman? Tough shit buddy, its behind 2 large dungeons (caria manor, nokron) a shard-barer boss (radahn), and a minor tower dungeon, and a godskin nobel. (I know you can just run past the nobel but the point stands)
Does anyone have any idea why similar talismans are so weird like this?
Currently faith is something everyone can benefit from, whereas intelligence is moreso just for intelligence builds.
Why not? Not like these make or break builds unless you're a really tryhard midmaxer, I never felt the use to use any of them. Albeit I never used int nor fth. I just have big weapon and hit hard.
Just wait till you realize the difference between Marika and Radagon's soreseals lol.
Talismans are usually placed in areas that have similar lore significance I think that makes more sense than placing them in terms of how good they are.
i have done these three margit, finger, and rennala
where would i find the 4th slot?
A boss in Leyndell
which one exactly? i finished all of the main progression bosses to the end, is it one of the optional ones?
I think it was right before you fight Godfrey for the first time for me, I fought like a golden version of him and it gave it to me
I currently have 3 talisman slots and was wandering how you get the 4th and 5th without spoiling too much
4th is from a boss in the capital city of Leyndell.
You can get more? Can any be obtained in the starting area?
no. The only one in the starting area is from beating Margit
My friend found a 4th slot in the area past the grand lift after progressing through it a bit.
Spoiler in link but will tell you where to get the 4th slot talisman slot location guide
I’m using the dark moon great sword, I need some pointers on which talisman are a good pair with it
Godfrey Icon,Shard of Alexander and Magic Scorpion Charm(the negative effects in physical defense can be countered by Dragoncrest Shield talisman)
Add onto this, if you aren't using the Spellblade armor set then use use Erdtree talisman +2 instead of dragoncrest for heavier armor, and possibly a shield.
But mainly these:
Stalwart Horn Charm Immunizing Horn Charm Arrow's Soaring Sting Talisman Aged One's Exultation Pearl Shield Talisman Talisman of the Dread Talisman of Lord's Bestowal Enraged Divine Beast Graven-School Talisman Graven-Mass Talisman Flock's Canvas Talisman Faithful's Canvas Talisman Radagon Icon Carian Filigreed Crest Bull-Goat's Talisman Blue Dancer Charm Magic Scorpion Charm Lightning Scorpion Charm Crucible Scale Talisman Millicent's Prosthesis Winged Sword Insignia Kindred of Rot's Exultation
I dont have all but i do have most. Im just looking for as many Marika Runes as i can get
Have endless amounts of all great runes, updated the post description, check if u have any of them and lmk
Honestly im down to just mass drop all of my talismans for marika runes if you are lmao I have a few that i can see that i know of, but yeah

My flasks are maxed at 14 but I'm only at +10 year upgrades. The videos I've found either have repeats or an incomplete location list
https://www.pushsquare.com/guides/elden-ring-all-sacred-tear-locations this guide helped me find another one. I don't know if there's more than 11 (seems like a weird number to end on) but this'll help you find the last one
I checked in and they have a complete list. It goes up to +12
wait fr? Can you give me the link?
This comment is 2 years old but helped me so much thank you
