What Redditors are Saying

Completing All Missions in Hogwarts Legacy

TL;DR Focus on main quests, side quests, and collectibles. Use tools like the map screen and Liquid Luck potion to find missing items.

Main Quests and Achievements

Completing all main quests is essential for achieving 100% completion in Hogwarts Legacy. Some players have noted that focusing solely on main quests can lead to achievements being unlocked even if not all side quests or collectibles are completed [1:6]. Skipping cutscenes can significantly reduce the time needed to complete these quests [2:3].

Side Quests and Unique Enemies

Side quests are crucial for encountering unique enemies and unlocking certain achievements. Some enemies may only appear during specific side quests [3:7][3:8]. Completing all side quests in each region ensures you encounter all possible enemies and helps with overall game completion [3:3].

Collectibles and Hidden Chests

Finding all collectibles involves searching for hidden chests throughout the game. Butterfly chests and vivarium chests are often missed as they do not appear on the map [4:1]. Using a Liquid Luck potion can help reveal any missed chests on the mini-map [1:2][1:10]. Additionally, checking whirlpools for underwater chests can be beneficial [1:9].

Map Utilization

Utilize the map screen to track your progress in each region. By zooming out, you can see a breakdown of collectibles found in each area [1:1]. This feature can help identify regions where collectibles are still missing, allowing for targeted searches.

Replayability and House-Specific Missions

To achieve full completion, some missions require reaching the map room as different houses [4]. These playthroughs can vary slightly, mostly affecting common rooms and specific house-related quests [2:4]. While it might be tedious, skipping cinematics can expedite this process [2:3].

I've completed all quests, including the shop in hogsmeade quest. I completed every den and I got all the butterfly chests. Other than literally walking back and forth across the entire map to see if there are random chests I missed, how can I finish the collections? I pre-ordered the game and it's driving me insane that I can't 100% it, I only have 1 achievement left, help!

Did you get the 3 chests in each beast habitat? Also if you use a liquid luck potion and fly around any chest you missed will show on the mini map

Whaaaaat? It didn't dawn on me once to look for chests there. Wow thanks!

Yeah, its not 100% accurate and works better when your running around instead of flying but yeah it points out chests and sometimes field guides

Update: I found a couple very random spots that I missed and I am now only missing 5 of the 140 ror chests, but I somehow got the achievement anyways?

I noticed I’ve been getting the achievement when there’s not necessarily 100% completion for some of them too… wonder if it’s to protect from glitches etc lol.

It’s quite laborous, and then you’ve got to play it with each other house til you get to the map room (2-4hrs per game depending on your speed)

Focus main quests and skip all the cutscenes and it'll take about an hour forty five to two hours to get the achievement

There are chests hidden in water, too, look for random whirlpools

I'd say you are miss a portion of the three chests in every vivarium. iff you for sure got all the butterfly chests.

On the map screen, zoom all the way out, and you will be able to hover over each region (Forbiden Forest, Feldcroft, Poisear, South Hogwarts etc) and see a breakdown of how many collections chests and other colleticbles you have found in that area. Use that to see what regions you are missing stuff in. Similarly, on the Hogwarts map, you can hover over each floo point and see a collectibles breakdown for each wing of the castle.

Neither vivarium chests or butterfly chests are counted in the mao counts. so if your collection chests count on the maps are complete, you're missing some of those.

For the 41/42, those are wand handles. many ore in collection chests too, so the above applies if you are sure you have collcted all the quest reward ones. Check here: https://game8.co/games/Hogwarts-Legacy/archives/403980

Finished up the final three achievements on this one. Honestly, didn't take as long for those three once I found the skip button.

Just started a couple of days ago, really enjoying the game. How much time did those 3 last achievements take? I dont mind doing the collectibles hunt, but those additional playthrough ones are exhausting to me.

2 upvotes on reddit
ArmAccomplished5769 · OP · 5 months ago

To answer that with actual time... probably like 2hrs for each achievement total. I skipped past ALL the cinematics though so without the skipping maybe an extra hour for each.

2 upvotes on reddit
Dalthor85 · 5 months ago

I see, not too much, but not little either. Is there any difference in playthrough besides the actual quest? Probably just the common room?

1 upvotes on reddit
SpamingComet · 5 months ago

You don’t actually have to play the whole story. Only up until finding the map chamber

EDIT: Removed the inaccurate mission count

3 upvotes on reddit
Dalthor85 · 5 months ago

Ah OK. It makes sense, the first few main missions had a lot of cinematics which can be skipped.

Hiii I’m ADHD hyper-fixation determined to reach 100% accuracy in hogwarts legacy and I need help with figuring out what I’m missing. I’m done with all the main quests, I’ve checked off all the checklists in each region so I don’t understand how I don’t have all the enemies done.

Any help is appreciated 😊

Did you do all the side quests? I’m wondering if there are some specific enemies you encounter by triggering it via side quest. I just finished the game and platinum’ed it, but the enemies list just naturally completed. Could always try to cross reference with an online list

1 upvotes on reddit
trips2mars · OP · 7 months ago

NO WAY. Omg congratulations!!! I’ve been working on platinum-ing it for so long.

Do I have to do all the side quests like in every region? Or just the ones on my quest list thing?

Thank you so much for the advice!

I would do every side quest in every region to be sure. Don’t know the exact quests but like he said you will complete it naturally.

Hogwarts Legacy is the only game I've played ever. I didn't think I would complete it but with 114 hours of play time, I finally got all my achievements (except the ones where you reach map room as all houses). I'm not sure if I'll be playing the game again but this feels like quite the accomplishment. I couldn't have done it without the help of everyone here so this is a thank you post!

P.S My Conjuration collections says 129/140 but I got the achievement for collecting all collectibles and my map is 100% so I don't think I'll troll for more

Most likely causes for the missing Conjurations are the butterflies chests, the vivarium chests, and the Moonstone Garden collection chest bug. The butterflies and vivarium chests are not counted on the maps.

Missable achievements?

Posted by Cason13o · in r/HPHogwartsMystery · 1 month ago

So I'm the type of person that likes to complete everything in a video game, and I've recently been playing Hogwarts mystery. I'm on year 2 and trying to do all the side quests, but what I'm wondering is that what if I progress through the story and I won't be able to do these side missions anymore? I'm aware of the Hogwarts beyond section of the game, where the MC graduates and becomes and adult. Will I not be able to do the side quests then? Or can I go back and do them no matter what? If they are missable, could you let me know when you aren't able to do these side missions?

As far as I know, those side quests will be triggered over each other as you move forward with the story, although it will be sorted by level of priority so if you leave side quests without completing then it might not trigger when you want it to. As for beyond, you can go back and do such side quests by selecting them on the memory book.

This game was so good, definitely in my top 10. Collectibles were a grind especially the Merlin Challenges but I still enjoyed it. I found having to replay the intro 3 more times a bit more annoying though. Hopefully for the sequel they can add Quidditch, more mini games and a better choice system (they didn’t feel like they really mattered all that much). Anyways it’s on to the A-Z Platinum challenge, first game will be Zorro the Chronicles

So if you take a 1-2 week break from the game, you feel like you have to restart..? Why?

Even if you are a perfectionist, why do that..?

Life gets in the way of things, it took me like 4 months to beat Hogwarts Legacy but that's because I have a job and other responsibilities.

Just continue the game where you left off. You get to actually experience new missions and characters.

I agree with the others here. When I started playing last year, I got stuck on the boss fight in the first trial and took some time off. In that time I learned more about the game, and difficulty levels. watchng playthroughs. After some time I started a new playthrough in a different house and finished the playthrough after some weeks, imperfectly, but finished. Then I used what I learned from my second attempt to revisit my first save, loweriing the difficulty and getting unstuck, it was still a bit of a mess, but I finished.

Just set a daily or every other day play time of like 1-2hrs so you don’t get burnt out. Playing in big time chunks like 6-8hrs leaves you feeling fatigued at the end and sometimes creates a negative association.

[Hogwarts Legacy] Immersive, Fun 4/5 needs a sequel

Posted by nazaol · in r/Trophies · 2 months ago

It's a well known game so no new revelations. Good time especially if you're a fan of the books or movies. Great job designing the wand combat and integrating herbology. Broom flying is nice af I end up skipping fast travel just to do that.

Hogwarts is well designed and is fun to explore. There are a ton of collectibles to find but subjectively they were easy for me as I spent most of my playtime exploring the world.

Story is a bit meh and the actor face capture is not the best. There are also some trophies which you need to track manually like the one that needs you to hit every type of enemy with the ultimate and one for collectible chests.

Tip: if you're a pottermore/wizarding world user you can connect accounts to migrate your house and wand.

What would you like hogwarts legacy 2 to be?

Posted by IcySwim380 · in r/HarryPotterGame · 13 days ago

I think a sequel to hogwarts legacy should take place after the time of harry potter when albus potter and scorpius malfoy are students at hogwarts the idea is that the player would live through their own journey at school but also be part of big events like the return of the triwizard tournament and full quidditch seasons so the player can join their house team and maybe even rise to play in the quidditch world cup later on

The game would not just stay inside the castle because after graduation the player would get to become an adult wizard and choose a career path such as becoming an auror a ministry worker a curse breaker or even a professional quidditch player this would make the game feel like two parts the school years and the adult years and both parts would connect together based on the choices the player made

Every decision the player makes should change the story and lead to different outcomes for example the friends you make in your first year could either stand with you or betray you later on the house you choose would shape your opportunities the spells you master could unlock new paths and even the way you handle the villain could decide if you defeat them redeem them or even join them the story should feel like it belongs to the player with no two playthroughs being exactly the same

Romance should also play a big role so during your years at hogwarts you would be able to build relationships with other students and choose who you want to be close with these romances could continue into adulthood and even affect your story path for example if you and your partner both become aurors you could fight side by side against the dark wizard or if one of you is tempted by the villain it could tear the relationship apart romance would add emotional depth and give the story even more weight

The villain should not just be another voldemort copy but rather a new dark wizard with a different vision maybe someone who wants wizards to rule over muggles openly instead of hiding their existence this would give the story a strong conflict without repeating the same idea from the books

The world should also expand beyond hogwarts we would be able to visit diagon alley the ministry of magic and even muggle london where we would have to blend in or stay hidden other wizarding schools like beauxbatons durmstrang and ilvermorny could also appear in the story and during the triwizard tournament the player could face champions from these schools with new magical styles

By the end the player should face a huge choice to defeat the villain redeem them or join them and the result of the story would depend completely on the decisions made during both school and adulthood this would make hogwarts legacy two feel like an epic saga that goes beyond hogwarts and truly lets us live the life of a wizard across different stages of our character

Ik this is realistically impossible but I would love it if it was like this.

More Hogwarts centered and less bloat would be great but at the same time keeping hogsmeade and the forbidden forest.

maybe something similar to the early harry potter games but with a big budget and time.

Agreed, I don't want the sequel to take place in Harrys time or after his time, keep the setting of the 1890's & resume our story. I also have no interest in skipping 6th year...can people count? Or is it because they want to meet Dumbledore? Sequel should resume to 6th year.

Yes, throwing curses around willy nilly does not equal being a dark wizard/witch or wearing gimmick outfits.

Let us make choices which contribute towards that path...sadly I can't see them doing this seeing how they were so hellbent with the illusion of choice, holding the players hand & insulting the players intelligence overall.

I think an exchange student element could be interesting, like you have the chance to go to durmstrang for a dark arts path, with at least one light path option. Give a chance to branch out into a new environment/setting while keeping a connection at Hogwarts.

Like first semester at Hogwarts, 2nd international, 3rd back at Hogwarts, with the characters and interactions based on choices you made while away.

Keeps some of the mechanics you suggested without having to be plot multiple years of school

How to unlock all spells in hogwarts legacy

hogwarts legacy gameplay guide

hogwarts legacy character customization guide

AI Answer

🤖

how to complete all missions in hogwarts legacy

Here are some key considerations for completing all missions in Hogwarts Legacy:

  1. Main Story Missions: Focus on completing the main storyline first, as it unlocks various gameplay features and areas. Follow the quest markers and dialogues to progress.

  2. Side Quests: Engage in side quests as they often provide valuable rewards, experience points, and lore. Check your map for side quest icons and prioritize those that interest you.

  3. Exploration: Explore the open world thoroughly. Many missions and collectibles are hidden in various locations. Use your broom and spells to access hard-to-reach areas.

  4. Character Progression: Level up your character by completing missions and challenges. Invest in skills that enhance your combat and exploration abilities.

  5. Collectibles: Pay attention to collectibles such as Field Guide Pages, which can provide additional lore and experience. Completing collections can also unlock rewards.
