How to Defeat Weekly Bosses in Genshin Impact

TL;DR

  • Use co-op mode for assistance.
  • Bring a good healer or shielder.
  • Utilize food buffs and NRE gadget.
  • Focus on elemental advantages.

Co-op Mode and Team Composition

One of the most effective strategies for defeating weekly bosses is to engage in co-op mode. This allows you to team up with other players, making it easier to manage the boss's mechanics and damage output [1:1][1:5]. Additionally, having a solid team composition with a good healer or shielder can significantly increase your chances of survival. Characters like Zhongli for shielding or Bennett for healing and attack boosts are highly recommended [1:2].

Utilizing Food Buffs and Gadgets

Food buffs can provide significant advantages during boss fights by boosting your team's attack, defense, or critical rate. The NRE (Nutrition Ready-to-Eat) gadget is particularly useful as it allows you to quickly consume healing items without navigating through menus, ensuring that your characters stay healthy throughout the battle [1:3][1:7].

Elemental Strategies

Understanding and exploiting elemental weaknesses is crucial when facing weekly bosses. Make sure to tailor your team to counter the boss's elements effectively. For instance, using Cryo characters against Pyro bosses or Electro characters against Hydro bosses can make a significant difference in the fight [1:1].

Resource Management and World Level Adjustment

If you're struggling with higher-level bosses, consider fighting lower-level versions to gather materials and improve your characters' talents and equipment [1:4]. Additionally, lowering your world level can make battles more manageable if you're attempting to solo them [1:5].

Persistence and Improvement Over Time

Weekly bosses are designed to be challenging, especially for newer players or those with under-leveled characters. However, as you continue to upgrade your characters and refine your strategies, these battles will become easier. Don't hesitate to seek help from friends or online communities if you're finding certain bosses particularly difficult [1:1].

You don't need abyss teams, just bring a good healer or shielder if you struggle, even if it takes more time to finish. And even if everything else fails, there's still coop.

Mobile?

NRE from mondstadt lvl 5 reputation would do wonders likely

If you're in NA I can help you kill them every week if you'd like

Salvation-717 · 5 months ago

What is NRE? I’ve only done reputation stuff in Liyue and Inazuma. I didn’t notice it until I was trying to go for the wings in Liyue. Also that would be wonderful.

1 upvotes on reddit

NRE is a gadget that allows you to use healing food without having to go to your inventory, so you can heal without having to switch to a healer

2 upvotes on reddit
Coldstreme · 5 months ago

NRE is just a pun on MRE since you can eat food in combat without bringing up the menu and sifting through your food. You just select a healing & revival food and you can just press Z to heal up quickly

Fight the lower level bosses for now to get the mats then till your char talents are leveled

2 upvotes on reddit
Xenophoresis · 5 months ago

You can match with random players or coop with friends.

You can also lower your world level if you still want to solo it.

You aren't doing anything wrong if what you are saying is true. I have a secondary account and I'm living this nightmare for the second time lol

Weekly bosses are supposed to be harder to beat than normal bosses.

My suggestion would be either play in co-op so it's easier or have a good healer or shielder always with you or use and abuse food to boost your damage.

Also, make sure you are using proper team elements against the boss.

Don't give up, it will become easier. Yesterday I did weekly bosses on my main and they die so fast that isn't even exciting, then I went to my secondary and kept dying and couldn't finish some of the weekly bosses. It's a tough road but it will become easier!

And don't let people shame you for this or feel ashamed to ask for tips or help. We all have gone through this at some point. 🤗

How do you beat this week's 3.5*?

Posted by Rumengol · in r/LegendsOfRuneterra · 1 year ago

With all my mains champions, everything I summon quickly gets to 4 power and become unable to block, if only by the constellations. I can't even beat the Kinkou student who beats the crap out of me by turn 3.

So I'm guessing you need a specific champion to win, or just try overwhelm it with big units?

I used Morgana. She denies attacking with their strong units and can heal backup with Lifesteal

The first fight was the most difficult one, it became easier to the end and evey battle was a piece of cake.

Veigar will probably be great too, free removal in those low-health Ionia units every turn.

I will pull for Flins but didn’t really wanted to wait xD.

The most difficult one was the fatui boss since my Skirk doesn’t have a really good build and is using the Fontaine craftable so i had to rely on Mona buff with ttds so she can break the shield in 2 ultimates. I also didn’t manage to prevent him from regaining the shield a second time but thankfully it had low hp so just breaking one more layer of the shield was enough.

The crab is really easy with Lauma but i wanted to see if also Nahida could do it. It is a bit trickier but using favonius on Ayato and making sure to always have burst helps.

The first one was pretty much straightforward just some retries cause Kinich skill radius with big enemies can be a bit wonky sometimes.

I tried Skirk (C0R1) with Furina (C3R5Festering) and Escoffier (C0R5Deathmatch)

She couldn't even scratch the shield

5 upvotes on reddit
goens777 · 12 days ago

I recommend using Fav and TotM on Furina to buff both Esco and Skirk while having enough ER to burst consistently.

Don't bother building Furina for damage. Make sure you have as much ER as possible with decent CR.

I also put Esco on Fav since I also wanna burst with her consistently and it also helps with Furina's ER.

I have an 80s clear with Mona in the flex slot.

5 upvotes on reddit
AmaiHana98 · OP · 12 days ago

oh that is weird. What i did is Skirk hold skill, Escoffier and Furina skill, Mona skill, switch to Skirk hold skill again and burst, it breaks one shield. Then Furina ultimate, Escoffier ultimate and skill, Mona skill and ultimate, Skirk hold skill and ultimate and it breaks 2 shields if all goes well meaning if every hit crits xD

This is the only fearless I’m struggling with. I’m gonna try this later. I was using C0R1 Skirk, C0R0 Furina, Yelan, and Escoffier and couldn’t break his with NA

Edit: tried this and got the closest to killing him. Thank you so much. I could actually marry you

Edit 2: I did it. I will carry your children if you so wish you absolute beauty

So it turned out my Skirk had no chance to break the shield.

On the bright side, I managed to defeat with Varesa (C0R1) / Furina (C3R5Festering) / Ororon (C6) / Xianyun (C0)

Not really sure how I did it, I just smashed buttons until one try finally worked out.

Yesterday I tried with a similiar team but Iansan (C2) instead of Ororon and while this resulted in my closest failure yesterday, the team with Ororon today worked better for me

How to kill mr. Crabs without Nahida/Lauma? Its like it requires AoE dendro but I have none and i left this boss 40%!!!! HP cuz without AoE i spend to much time on this mechanic but without using it it is even worse

2 upvotes on reddit
AmaiHana98 · OP · 12 days ago

that is quite tricky, you could try dendro traveler/collei, one off field hydro, kuki/raiden and an on field dendro/hydro dps. Or you could perhaps try 2 hydro off field, kuki/raiden and one dendro on field like alhaitham or tighnari if you can use Furina and Kokomi.

I have shitty builds some of my characters (bad emblem peices, bad Nahida build) and skill issue. I will wait for Flins (literally just have the last boss left). Tbh I didn't manage to clear last fearless so knowing I will be able to do this one (once I get Flins) is alr improvement. I did the first one tho. Just papilla stopped me last time bc none of the natlan dps appealed to me and the only natlan character I pulled is Xilonen.

i managed to do the bloom crab on fearless without nahida/lauma/nilou/or kokomi (i own none of them). my solo dendro was dendro mc. i ran kazuha, dmc, furina, neuvilette, it was wonky but it worked in the end

Imma be straight up.

What's killing this mode is starting with 0 energy. Half my roster feels useless because they cant get energy in time even with decent ER. If you aren't running Fav you might as well just not bother. And I hate that rebuilding a character JUST for this one mode is the way I need to play.

And even if you are running fav, 2 bosses out of 3 this patch start with a shield, so they are useless

Fighting every weekly boss?

Posted by GetWaifuBeLaifu · in r/Genshin_Impact · 2 years ago

Just like the title hints at, are you doing every weekly boss every week? I did them since the beginning just because I claim the rewards once per week and it feels like something else to do. But currently we got 7 weekly bosses to fight, which already takes 2 days of resin and only scaramouch knows how many will be coming soon.

So what is your experience? Do you still do them all? Or do you only fight the 3 latest bosses? Thanks for your time!

Same for world bosses, if i don't need any specific one.

Why can we still kill the weekly boss only once per week?

Posted by mapple3 · in r/Genshin_Impact · 1 year ago

It's going to take over a month to farm the weekly mats to get Furina's skills to 10, and she only deserves the best after all.

Wouldn't life be so much better if we could kill the weekly bosses we need, as many times as we want? They still cost resin after all.

It's also a problem that ONLY affects the region archon and maybe one other character since the pattern is the first boss for any region comes out in the X.1 or X.2 patch on the archon's banner. Then it affects whoever is released on the archon's character quest 2.

You are correct, Weekly Boss makes people log in just once a week. But best not overgeneralize and assume its the only thing that exists.

There are systems that make people log in everyday (Daily comms, Resin, etc) ; Systems that make people log-in every week (Weekly Boss, Bounties, etc.) ; And even systems that make people log in every month (Events, Banners).

All is intended to extend player commitment and keep them in the game. It's unfortunate but this frustrating feature is what nonetheless makes money.

Doesn't exactly hold up considering that in HSR you can fight the same weekly boss three times in a row. I can farm Phantyllia three times for her mats and then wait till next week. People still keep playing Star Rail despite that. Genshin should at least let you use the weekly boss cap on what you want and not just make you do ones you don't need. It's a waste of time and resin.

You can farm, but you get only three tries total, and that limit is shared among the weekly-class bosses.

But HSR weekly bosses don’t have exclusive items outside of their character drops. Genshin’s weekly bosses are our only farmable source of Dream Solvent and weapon billets. The three-try system would be bad. And the odds for billets is low, so we need all 9 (and counting) chances.

That would be chaos, newbie will drown in the need of lv up a team/2 teams for abyss while oldbie will lost their motive to do newest boss.

You ncan't do "any boss at any time in Star Rail". You can only do three bosses a week. You can do one boss three times or one boss two times and another one one time. But only 3 times during a week shared between all bosses.

I still think weekly bosses shouldn’t cost resin. Resin requirement is so you can’t endlessly grind but bosses are limited to once a week anyways.

Low AR yes, at higher AR you want to be at talent level 9/9/9 (I only crown Archons and characters I really like), if you are short on resource always prioritize the 2 of the more important talents and came back for the last later (I usually leave the basic attack at 6 until I have more resources).

After the recently added raiden weekly boss, there are now 6 weekly bosses (2 from each nation). The total resin needed for the weekly bosses is now 270 (about 1.5 days worth of resin). Plus I have enough Dvalin Wolf materials now (I don't main any mondstadt characters) So should I stop doing some of the weekly boss?

Not necessarily 'dread', but I find the wolf boss the most annoying since some of his attacks are undodgeable (you can dodge to prevent the stagger, but still lose HP), and that his AoE attacks extend past the circle. Just gotta get used to it.

That and my main DPS are Ganyu and Xiao, both of which are useless against it. I end up using my support characters ( Beidou/Fischl/Bennett/Xiangling ) to take him down.

After I get enough material to 10/10/10 3 characters or more, I'll stop.

Weekly bosses are a waste of resources. Craftable weapons are quite mediocre and I have better options. I have enough billets to get a r5 weapon of each type just in case they release some good versions.

In 2 years of playing, I fight all weekly bosses.

Thankfully with this, never had any trouble with Boss Mats(unless new) or with billets.

How to defeat weekly bosses in genshin impact

Key Considerations for Defeating Weekly Bosses in Genshin Impact

  1. Elemental Weaknesses: Each weekly boss has specific elemental weaknesses. Use characters that can exploit these weaknesses for increased damage. For example:

    • Stormterror: Weak to Pyro and Electro.
    • Andrius (Wolf of the North): Weak to Cryo and Geo.
    • Childe (Tartaglia): Weak to Pyro and Electro.
    • Raiden Shogun: Weak to Cryo and Electro.
  2. Team Composition: Build a balanced team with a mix of DPS, support, and healer characters. Consider including:

    • A main DPS character (e.g., Diluc, Ganyu).
    • A sub-DPS or support character (e.g., Bennett, Xingqiu).
    • A healer (e.g., Barbara, Jean) to sustain your team.
  3. Elemental Reactions: Utilize elemental reactions to maximize damage. For instance, combining Pyro with Hydro creates Vaporize, which deals significant damage.

  4. Dodge and Timing: Learn the boss's attack patterns and dodge effectively. Timing your dodges can help you avoid heavy damage and create openings for counterattacks.

  5. Use of Burst Skills: Save your Elemental Bursts for when the boss is vulnerable or during phases where they are more aggressive. This can help deal massive damage quickly.

  6. Co-op Play: If you're struggling, consider teaming up with friends in co-op mode. This can make boss fights easier and more manageable.

Takeaways:

  • Prepare your team with characters that exploit the boss's elemental weaknesses.
  • Focus on elemental reactions for increased damage output.
  • Practice dodging and timing your attacks to avoid damage and maximize your effectiveness.

Recommendation: Before the fight, ensure your characters are well-leveled and equipped with appropriate artifacts and weapons. This preparation can significantly enhance your chances of defeating the bosses efficiently.
