I just found a way it’s a little weird but it works. Just screen record the video upload it to your computer and convert it in vlc from mp4 to mp3. I did it and it worked perfectly gotta rename it but that’s all.

You can't download directly from yt vanced

you need to set up a external downloader

you can use NewPipe, Seal, or YTDLnis

just press the share button and tap on one of the apps, it will download it as a file on your phone

Downloading music from YouTube isn’t the most sensible option—unless the track isn’t available anywhere else. A better approach would be to get it from more specialized sources like https://doubledouble.top/.

You can also change the internal download with an external one, for example using YTDLnis by activating it in the revanced options.

You can download/backup your entire uploaded library by using Google Takeout. (YouTube and YouTube Music / music-uploads.)

And unlike GPM, Takeout will give you your uploaded tracks in their original format -- original FLAC, etc will be preserved.

Companies like Google became monopolistic simply because they were the best at what they did: we say "google it" for search like we say use a "kleenex" for sniffles. But monopolies fail once they become annoying to use and people start looking for alternatives. Youtube Music is very annoying: you can't easily search and get to your own uploads and you can't download a song you've previously uploaded. Bad! I've started using Bandcamp as my simplified music player. Too bad most of my music is now "lost" up there in Google (unless I want to do a massive Google Takeout of all my music). Sad. Google is slipping.

GPM doesn't utilize Takeout for uploads -- you can only download uploaded content through the propriety Music Manager. Songs downloaded from GPM from that service reflect whatever metadata was present when downloaded.

YTM currently doesn't have the capability to edit metadata, so using Takeout will give you back whatever you initially uploaded.

Using the Transfer tool to migrate songs from GPM to YTM, and then going back into GPM to edit song metadata after the fact, will not affect content in YTM.

You need to use Google Takeout to do this

Only with third party solutions but they're all web wrappers which means is the same thing as "install as app" that Chrome and Edge do

Lol so many spam comments here. I tried using all these spammy websites but learnt the hard way. Avoid them like the plague. They always mess up the bitrate and audio coding. You aren't downloading the true audio. Or worse, you are infected with malware/virus.

I still don't know why more people don't use Seeker (Android) and Soulseek (Windows, Linux, Mac) for songs that aren't hyper niche. You can download music in .flac, .mp3, I've even seen some in .ape. And it's all community driven without the Goggle bullshit and tracking.
