TL;DR Cherry blossom biomes are classified as meadows and typically spawn near mountains. Use tools like Chunkbase's biome finder with your world seed to locate them. Ensure you explore new chunks for generation.
Biome Location
Cherry blossom biomes, also known as cherry groves, are classified as meadow biomes. They tend to generate in areas where meadows would typically appear, often near mountainous regions [1:1]. While searching, consider exploring high mountains or valleys near snowy peaks, as these are common locations for cherry groves
[3:3].
Using Biome Finder Tools
One of the most effective ways to locate a cherry blossom biome is by using online tools such as Chunkbase's biome finder. By inputting your world seed into this tool, you can generate a map that shows the locations of various biomes, including cherry blossoms [1:2]
[4:1]. This method allows you to find coordinates without using cheats, preserving the integrity of your survival experience
[3:2].
Chunk Generation Considerations
It's important to note that cherry blossom biomes will only spawn in areas that have not been generated yet. If you're playing in an existing world, you'll need to travel beyond previously explored areas to find new biome generation [1:3]
[4:2]. Since Minecraft 1.18, all biomes can be found within a radius of 5,000 blocks from any point, so expanding your search area may be necessary
[3:1].
Version Availability
For players on Bedrock Edition, it's crucial to know that cherry blossom biomes might not be available yet, as they were initially introduced in Java snapshots and are expected to be released in version 1.20 [5:1]
[5:3]. If you're playing on Bedrock, ensure your game version supports cherry blossom biomes before searching extensively.
By following these strategies, you should be able to locate a cherry blossom biome effectively and enjoy its unique beauty in your Minecraft world.
I recently started a world with some friends and we really want to live in a cherry blossom biome but we travelled thousands of blocks and haven’t found one yet. I want to know if there are certain places they can spawn and if they are rare or something. Don’t know if it makes a difference but I’m on bedrock not Java
If you want to kind of cheat. There is a website called biome finder and you input your world seed. Pretty easy to figure out the map.
They only spawn in areas that have not been generated yet so go to a area you guys have not been to

Look for areas with mountains. Cherry groves are classified as meadows and will generate where meadows would be. You can also use the biome finder on chunkbase. Make sure you are loading new chunks

Well you found one. Better hope one of those leaves drops a sapling
I guess, but I was trying to find a biome to live at lol. Luckily I found a big one about and hour later.
Nice. You know you can always use chunkbase to find a specific biome

Wow. Whelp that tree better drop a sapling or else we’ll both be pissed off
So I've been searching for around 4,5 hours now and I've died twice, because I WANT to make my first house in my world in a cherry blossom biome, but I just can't find anything! Does anyone have any tips?
What I've tried so far:
Search around high mountains.
Walk to the north, east and south from spawn.
What I can't do:
Use high render distance (because I'm on an aternos server)
Use an elytra
Use commands (I want to play fair and square)
Use any cheat website
It would really help if someone could help me with this, because I feel like I'm just wasting time wandering around finding nothing.
you could use chunk base and put your seed to get a map of your minecraft world, then you can find one, get the coordinates and travel there without cheats
High mountains aren’t always the case. I’ve seen them spawn in valleys, although they are mainly found in extremely tall hills, or nearing around snowy peak mountains. It’s not guaranteed, but I’ve seen a few. That’s just from what I’ve seen anyway
U found like too by just running around everywhere maybe you'll get lucky keep on searching
Since 1.18, the all-biome-radius got increased from 2K blocks to 5K blocks. Better said: you can find every single biome in minecraft in a radius of 5K blocks. Including the cherry grove biome.
New world or old world? The reason I ask is because with a world before it was added you'll have to travel much further than what you've already discovered to find new biome generation.

So I've been searching on biomefinder, and I've searched an entire 200k x 200k area looking for it. I'm going to keep looking, but if anyone's bored, I could use some help.
It's for my hard mode world. I'm making makeshift biomes that aren't near to my base, and this is the last biome I need.
I don't care how far away it is.
Seed is -2979188507756031611
Bedrock Edition
Isn't that biome only available through snapshots?
Yes, yes it is.
Damn, I had a Great idea for it :(
Cherry blossom biome is not available for bedrock at the moment
But in Java?
In Java snapshots, it won't be released into the main game until 1.20 releases.

I am home sick today so I kinda feel like this is a sign. I think I’ll be hopping on to help search soon.
i've searched everywhere but i just can't seem to find it. it's the last biome i need for adventuring time and it's killing me. after 3 hours of non stop flying i ended up resorting to cheats, and even after i did /locate cherry blossom grove, it took me to a meadow biome instead. i recently upgraded my world from 1.19 to 1.20, so i'm wondering if that has something to do with it? trail ruins seem to be fine.

make sure ur exploring chunks newly generated in 1.20. The command might’ve failed because it took you to where a cherry biome would spawn in 1.20, but it was already generated so it was a meadow, although im not 100% thats how it works
thanks for the answer, it worked! turns out i just had to fly really far out
When i spawn in i tend to wander for a short time til i find a place im fine with building a base at, i wandered to a village with 10 obsidian, 3 diamonds, iron legs, and an iron pickaxe and sword and another village with pretty basic stuff.
judging by your spelling and this whole post, you are idiotic
All Minecraft biomes are getting rarer because they are adding more, so the percents have to drop to make percent for a new biome so soon it will be even lower
Heya guys I was just wondering about the new update. Do I need to Nether Travel to new chunks to find Cherry Blossoms or can they be replaced by an existing biome?
When it releases.... it will only show up in new chunks.
That’s what I was guessing, thanks
But unless you are playing on a snapshot, they are not in the game yet.

You have to go to new chunks.
I'm picking up minecraft again after years of not playing and was super excited but all the maps im loaded into are 90% water and I've spent hours trying to find a decent cherry blossom biome. I just want one that's flatter and has more room to build. I've only been able to find ones on giant cliffs which are a pain to get around on.
I’m in the same boat. If I find one, I’ll post it.
Thank you! I'll do the same. 🖤
Hey, so I found this place, unfortunately not at spawn, but it has a cherry biome (accessible by cliff or by slope), on a plateau with lots of building room. Three villages nearby, and some really cool caves. Oh, and a ruined portal. The seed is 281475037710712, the coords are approximately -9600, 8700. Let me know what you think!
JSYK OP: Cherry biomes are specifically programmed to be plateau biomes. That's why you'll struggle to find seeds where they're on flat ground
Ah I see. I don't necessarily need it to be totally flat, I just don't wanna scale a mountain to get to my home. 😅
Well that was useless, thanks. 🙂

What in the karma farming f*** is this?!
What's the seed?
That is rare?
It's not
It doesnt seem rare at all. Just a big mountain circle with a cherry forest on top.
