Possible Explanation (That Still Shouldn’t Apply Here)

So, inside the title there are some "optional" triumphs (with a blue text that specifies it - ex. flawless triumph) but there something that doesn't quite add up.

You'll obviously need the raid trophies (all the items basically) and the ghost shell is dropped by a triumph, specifically the one that asks you to do the raid with more and more feats.

That triumph is also needed for the other one that gives +1 tier to every drop, but only to a 3/5 point, but if you need the ghost shell you'll still have to complete that triumph 5/5, even if it says it's not required?

Does the shell drop earlier or is just another of Bungie's DLC mishaps?

It is worded strangely in fairness but good news it does drop after completing a run with 3 feats active 😊 the triumph will be at 3/5 until you do more stacked feats but you'll have the shell. We did challenge, half rez's and 2 phase and it wasn't that bad but you can always wait until the recently announced difficulty nerf to get it done!

The 5 feat raid has been touted as the single hardest piece of content Bungie ever released by the first known team to clear it. Whether that is hyperbole or not I’m not entirely sure, either way though 5 feat is definitely extremely challenging. (I’m personally not a fan of them making it easier, I think it should’ve remained as it was as an incredibly hard achievement)

The ghost shell drops at 3 feats active. No need to do the 5 feat triumph for the title. It’s worded poorly in game, likely due to limitations on how triumphs can be displayed there, but you can see it’s the reward for 3/5 feats active in the app. I’d recommend the limited revives, 2 phase, and either banes or encounter challenges as your active three for that one.

Easiest path for me was to get all the moths, then farm deepsight chests and executioner chests. Each rank of that is +20 or something. So, all the moths, five deepsight chests, and farming five execution chests got it done.

Tbh. If it doesn't have guiding light I don't use it.

And with the seasons reward engrams the way they are I now have a copy of the Cosmos Shell with each planetary destination on it.

Also I can't believe the Leviathan ghost wasn't included. It has a chance to get you a year 1 exotic.

for me it used to be guiding light ghost and insta summon sparrow but after getting the always on time (scourge sparrow) which does not have insta summon i've been using a speed demon ghost instead

Hey fellas. Hope you all are doing well. I am a D2 player. However, I haven't played since the season of the Wish. I got a console so I downloaded Destiny and purchased The Final Shape expansion. However, upon opening the game, I was quite overwhelmed with the general experience and needed some guidance navigating through it all. What was removed? What is here? What do I do? I primarily play warlock so I'm open if someone has some advise or wanted to lend a hand to run some of the Final Shape content together. I'll appreciate any advice given. I’ve gotten mixed answers. I’ve heard you have to reset your infamy twice and I’ve heard three times. Also do I have to reset my infamy rank that many times in a single season or can it be over multiple seasons?

You have to do three collective infamy resets to unlock the shell. Any season/any count works, but you just have to reach 15k three times.

Basically they are cosmetics. Mostly they are eververse items, so usually u can obtain them by opening Eververse Engram. Sometimes they are sold in bright dust (keep in mind, bright dust shop rotate weekly) which is a section in eververse store.

Some of these cosmetics are also rewarded when completing dungeon/raid with challenge. Check for the triumph page of each dungeons/raids (Though not all dungeon and raids will have these as rewards)

There are also some from other places like Crucible, mainly Trials of Osiris but this is high-end PvP and I dont recommend this until u get used to the game first.

Most of them come from Eververse. Others you can get from raids and dungeons, seasonal events(Dawning, Guardian Games, etc.), and season passes.

note: sometimes it doesn't drop straight from the dungeon / raid / activity but requires you to clear some sort of accomplishment, like a solo dungeon etc.

You know you don't have to keep the ghost shells/sparrows/ships in your inventory right?

Once you've got it you can safely dismantle them and always pull them from Collections in the Equipment tab if you want them back

Yeah, but then you have to use mats to upgrade them every time you'd do that. It'd be easier to just have one fully upgraded ghost that you can change the appearance of.

Bright Engrams, Bright Dust (in the store), certain challenges and triumphs. Honestly, just play normally and you'll start getting more and more of them. Certain exotic ones you can chase, but legendary ones will come to you.

Hey Guardians,

I'm dealing with what seems to be a bugged drop rate for the Bane of Crota Shell from Altars of Sorrow, and Bungie's support is completely ignoring it.

From what we know, this Ghost Shell has either a ~5% drop rate or is guaranteed after 40 final chest completions. I’ve farmed this activity far beyond what should be necessary—I've completed:

145 Tier V boss kills
276 total waves
1,000+ Nightmares defeated
72 perfect runs (no sacrifices at Tier V)

Despite this, I still don’t have the Ghost.

I submitted a support ticket, but Bungie’s response was basically: "Not our problem, go ask for help somewhere else." The issue? There is no longer a proper way to report these kinds of bugs. The ability to submit tickets for this type of issue was removed, and the #Help forums feel like a black hole where complaints go to die.

You're confused about how the bad luck protection resetting works. So, the ship only drops from the Pit of Heresy boss, and the Ghost shell only drops from Altars tier V bosses. However, if you have either one drop at any time, then it resets the bad luck protection clear count for the other item, because it's linked. And no, this isn't speculation as you claim, this is how it works, as confirmed by Bungie via a community manager.

So, when did you get the ship to drop from Pit of Heresy? And how many Altars clears do you have since getting the ship to drop? Because that's your actual number of clears for the bad luck protection counter on the ghost shell.

Ive done it picking up randomly in the three maps. You can do it in Denied area or low profile because there are 20 in each map but it’s more difficult/longer grabbing all of them in the same map. The Mt. Zaya map only has 10 but for me it’s easier.

If you do it in low profile almost all of them are in the buildings of A,B,C or close to them.

I grabbed half of them playing the objective but the rest had to search match randomly and focus only in intel.

The ghost shell requires a Triumph that wants 10 lore pages.
You can farm them completely alone, as long as you have a post-entrance checkpoint. This can also be done in the Preservation post-raid mission. It's located directly under the raid icon.
You're looking to be in this big room where all the symbols are.
Then in the wall here you can see a hole you can jump through.
You see 3 rows of symbols, but you only need to pay attention to 2 lines when doing this alone.
Here's the ones you need to remember when going back into the room with the buttons.
After activating one, and melee-ing the other symbol, you get a lore page.
Then just run into Acquisition, shoot the crux, and wipe. Then walk back to the puzzle and repeat.

Tested this in the Preservation Mission - it still works.

Edit: Don't really have the ability to wipe and go back easily since the doors close once you start the combat portion inside. Maybe someone can find a way.

The reset function is there in case the code entered its wrong, it resets all the switches to an unstarted state. If you get it right, the page walls lock until you wipe or reload the encounter.
