TL;DR
Frequent Monitoring
One of the most effective strategies for securing last-minute concert tickets is to frequently check ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster. Users have reported success by continuously refreshing the site, particularly on the day of the concert [1:1],
[5:3]. It's common for additional tickets to be released sporadically throughout the day, so persistence is key
[1:6].
Venue Box Office
Visiting the venue's box office in person can also be a viable option. Some venues reserve a small number of tickets to sell directly at the box office, which can sometimes be cheaper than online prices [2:2]. However, this approach may not always work for sold-out concerts, so it's important to verify whether on-site tickets will be available
[2:3].
Price Fluctuations
Ticket prices can fluctuate significantly as the concert date approaches. While some users have managed to find cheaper tickets close to the event, others warn that prices don't always drop as expected [5:11]. It's advisable to set a budget and be ready to purchase as soon as you find tickets within your price range
[5:1],
[5:9].
Cancellation Policies and Resales
In some regions, generous cancellation policies might lead to last-minute ticket availability due to returns [2:1]. Additionally, resale tickets might become available at lower prices closer to the event date, but caution is advised to avoid scams, especially in markets where reselling is restricted
[2:3].
Timing and Flexibility
Being flexible with timing can increase your chances of securing last-minute tickets. Some users recommend checking for new ticket releases early in the morning or even an hour before the show starts [3:2],
[5:3]. If you're local to the venue, this flexibility can be a significant advantage
[5:8].
By employing these strategies and maintaining a proactive approach, you can enhance your chances of obtaining last-minute concert tickets.
Has anyone had any success with getting tickets last min/on the day? This has been possible with other artist tours recently (Beyonce, Kendrick) but wondering if anyone’s had success with mayhem tour pls? :)
Yes I did it literally 5x loll you will get tickets just keep looking!
I’m planning to go and be at the venue already and constantly refresh to wait for good ones to be way lower but I’m so stressed!
I didn’t sleep really the week leading up but they WILL release tickets day of all day - I know it’s hard not to be stressed without tickets but I have done it without fail each time !
I did, two nights in a row in Miami. But it's going to truly depend on the city. I didn't see this for MSG, but saw it for the west coast shows. Good luck.
There are literally standard (non-resale) tickets available from Ticketmaster for tonight’s show available right now. They are just like $800+.
You never know. You just have to keep refreshing Ticketmaster in the 2 weeks leading up to the show. But prices will probably be similar to what they are now.
I did and it was very stressful. I did it in NYC though so the demand is a bit higher.
I’m traveling to Korea in a few weeks. There is a K-pop concert on the day I arrive. I didn’t know I was traveling until after the tickets for this concert went on sale. It’s sold out at this point. Do people ever return tickets because they cannot attend? Are there ever last minute tickets available for sale?
sometimes you can look online the day before or day of because resell prices go down. Or if the venue has a box office you can check there in person to see if they set aside some extra tix! venues tend to keep a few hundred tickets to sell in person and they are usually cheaper. Not sure how it is in Korea but goodluck!
Korea does not do dynamic pricing or resale so prices don’t drop and any resale tickets are highly likely to be scams. There are sometimes tickets available day of at the box office but usually not for sold out concerts and each event will usually specify whether on site tickets will be available or not. Otherwise this is good advice for concerts outside Korea!
Yes. Keep checking the ticketing site every day!
Thank you!
Please check the timing of your arrival to make sure you can actually attend even if immigration and luggage take longer than you expect
Yes. Especially in Korea there tends to be a lot of tickets that get cancelled last minute due to the generous cancellation policy and no reselling allowed. You should check what the cancellation period is and target those specific dates where the policy changes (e.g. 3 days before 30%, 1 week before 10%, etc.) for the best chances.
Thank you. I’ll keep checking.
Flying in from out of town without a ticket currently. Just gonna wing it.
Ther will be tickets, look around 10am in the morning they sometimes release some
Thanks for the tip. I was logged in but didn’t see anything new. Hoping for the best when I land later today.
Me! Got seats in the nosebleeds, but I don’t care…just happy to be in the building!
I've been at the gates pretty much since 1 am. Hiding in an air-conditioned elevator in a parking garage, this heat is unreal.
Anyone know if they're doing the merch booth outside the venue like they have at some other stops?
Boys noise starts at 8:00 and NIN starts at 8:55. Before 8 it’s just red lights and droning music / sounds.
I’ve seen 911 calls on the news before so maybe there’s calls of people reporting what happened
The media can put in a formal request directly with the police department. You could also, as a private citizen, request one by using the Freedom of Information Act but it can take a long time for any results to show.
its called a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, you can submit it yourself at National FOIA Portal
Like a lot of people, I sadly wasn’t successful during presale nor general sale :/
So I’m wondering if anyone might be willing to share their experience buying tickets last minute (like the day of or a few days before the show)? This is the largest concert I’ve tried buying tickets for, so there’s a learning curve to say the least 😅
Thankfully my budget does allow for splurging on a more expensive ticket, but I’m open to waiting till closer to the concert (March 2026) if it means I could save a couple hundred bucks.
Any tips?
I was at such a low number below 1000 when I entered the sale. Then when it was my turn, Ticketmaster told me my browsing activity was paused due to unusual behavior……. 🫠
get this… during the verizon presale i was 13th in line… i get into the portal and all the seats are greyed out, but i see the list of all the section and row #’s. i wanted VIY barricade so i wasn’t just gonna settle for “Section C row 5” if it wasn’t a barricade seat, but everything was greyed out on the map. I didn’t want to refresh and get sent back to the queue, so i waited and then eventually caved and refreshed the screen. the map was finally working, but at that point everything was sold out that was anywhere close to barricade.
13TH IN LINE!! i’m still so upset about it. the list showed so much availability too, that was probably my only shot and ticketmaster screwed it up for me.
This happened to me during the Verizon presale! I was 1200 in line. I thought for sure I was golden!
And then boom. Suspicious activity :/
I hate that they can’t stop the bots, but they can somehow stop us.
when I saw her at NYC night 2, I was on ticket master all day looking for last minute tickets. I managed to score tickets 2 hours before the doors opened. I got seats on the floor standard admission for $1k. They gradually release tickets on the day of, but they don’t hold the tickets for you when you’re checking out so u have to be quick. I’d recommend to wait an hour before the show to get tickets. As I was on the way to the venue, they released even more floor seats for cheaper than I bought.
Woah that’s crazy that you were able to get in just 2 hours before the show!
I also bought floor for 1k morning of for nyc night two
Yes I'm sure you can get seats the day of. I even saw standard ticket that wasn't resale being released for floor and lower bowl that day at my city.
I bought non-resale tickets day of at approximately noon. I work very close to the venue and was willing to take the risk (only needed one). Great seat near the front of lower bowl, center, for $300 CAD - seemed fair. There are lots of "stage drop" and held back tickets in the days leading up to the concert if you have 3-400$ to spend on good seats. Didn't see any super cheap tickets.
I got mine in front rows of 116 for just US$344 the day of the show, but also the venue is 10 mins away so I didn't have do any other planning (flight, hotel, etc)
I was told to wait the week of the concert for resellers cuz that's when prices drop dramatically. I'll see if this will work cuz I also had no luck during presale or general.
$684.00 for nosebleeds. Pitiful...
Oof yeah :/ If I can’t find something under $500 soon, then I’ll probably wait until the week of the concert and hopefully there’ll be better options then. Good luck!
Everyone always assumes prices drop closer to event but it doesn’t always work out that way. It’s a very prevalent flawed assumption
oh yeah they’re definitely broken up. he seems annoyed to get these questions and he’s trying so hard to seem so nonchalant about it, like “yeah I’ve been kinda following it”. I always get the vibe that he thinks he’s somehow above this all. like he wants the fame and the attention, but only if it’s about HIS talent and accomplishments and that includes being able to date Ariana, but it’s not about her, it’s about HIM. idk if that makes any sense
He thought she would be his golden ticket to the Tops and it really didn't , he can't break up with her due to fear backlash but clearly is over being seen as her boyfriend.
his attitude vs Travis performing on Taylor's tour
its so evident
“I’ve been sort of…. following along” he just seems so meh about her these days and if they’re not broken up yet the excitement about dating a pop star has worn off for sure. Hopefully he’s starting to fully realize what he’s done and how destructive it was
He is caught between a rock and a hard place. If she dumps him, he will barely have a career again. If she doesn’t dump him, he is going to have to deal with her crap. He can’t figure out which one is worst. Couldn’t have happened to a better person!
He's not handsome enough for Hollywood and not "character face" like Paul Giamatti or Steve Buscemi.
He wasn't an established household name in theater like Lin-Manuel Miranda or Mandy Patinkin.
He doesn't have the family name, family wealth, or the previously established career as a goodwill safety net for a long-term bout of messy behavior, followed by a career comeback like Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Charlie Sheen, or Robert Downey Jr all had.
This guy could have had steady work in the theater world, along with a random TV or film bit part to keep the lights on and the rent paid.
He chose to toss away his wife and kid for an already infamously fickle singer, who wasn't going to stay with someone long term on her BEST day, much less while on drugs or with an ED.
This is the ultimate example of the "congratulations, you played yourself" DJ Khaled gif.
“I think that Ari’s fans are unbelievable and incredible and, like, ferocious in their support of her and it’s a beautiful thing”
Craaaaazy thing to say about the people who’ve been harassing the mother of his child and calling her everything but the kitchen sink for two years now. He’s such an astronomical loser.
very pr type response
Notice how he is strictly talking about the fans, not her, it’s a very political way of phrasing things when your ass is no longer with her.
it looks like he visibly flinched when he got asked about her 😂
Said everyone.
Fast forward a couple of hours, I am driving to the concert with my family, and get a notification that they will refund me and that replacement tickets are not available. Although I am relieved I am at least getting a refund, I still dont think it's right. I had my parents fly down just for the concert. I paid for the plane tickets and we planned this for months. My parents are older, and my dad is disabled so we had to preplan his access and everything. Time and money went into this just for the concert.
Does anyone have experience with getting compensation from stubhub, apart from a full refund? Is there anything I can do? Is suing the only recourse?
I had a bad experience with StubHub where the tickets were also never delivered, and where they also said they would be delivered the day before the event. The only thing I could do was to warn family and friends to never use StubHub. Their business model and fulfillment process is unreliable. So now I only purchase from Ticketmaster and get the tickets immediately.
Yeah thats crazy and sorry that happened to you. I dont understand how one can buy something months in advance and the seller having until the night of the show (30 min prior to showtime) to deliver the tickets. How is that fair to the consumer?
I will do the same moving forward.
I think on some resell sites the seller doesn’t have to have the tickets in hand. They can sell by prospect. Your seller may have never had those seats and sold you the “tickets” on the idea they could. I’m really sorry, it’s a horrible system that shouldn’t be legal.
Saw someone have some Ticketmaster resale tickets they bought disappear because the original buy used a stolen credit card or something. Crazy that Ticketmaster resale isn’t even 100% guaranteed. Still would rather buy them there than other places
Better to always buy directly from the venue’s ticket system. That way they can at least backtrack your order and help you out. Also for non-sold-out shows, you’re getting better inventory directly from the venue. I’ve seen people pay hundreds for readily available $10 tickets because they clicked the first link.
You can’t sue them, you agreed to their terms. You either get replacement tickets or a refund. If you sue them you will go to arbitration and lose and have to cover their legal costs. You signed away your right to sue.
The exact scenario outlined by the OP happened to me with Hollywood Bowl tickets. We had a box at the bowl and ordered dinner to be delivered to our box. Needless to say, after StubHub screwed us, we tried to recover the dinner and couldn't That was $350. The four of us ended up eating on a curb near the restrooms just after security.
I send them a demand letter for the $350 certified mail to their Delaware address. Of course they did not respond. I attached the letter, certified mail receipt and receipts for the meals and service costs to my suit in small claims court in LA county. I had them served in Wilmington DE at their Legal Department address. I went to my hearing, they did not appear. I got a default judgment against them, and had to "domesticate" it in California Superior Court (EJ-105) and have them served again. I did this, they did not respond. The court sent them a debtors examination which triggered someone in StubHub legal to pay attention. They subsequently wrote me a check for the lost meals and costs (about $600) along with a release of claims.
Was it a good use of my time? No. Did it piss them off? Yes, Did it feel good to cash the check? Damn right. F Stubhub
Yeah good for you. StubHub sucks.
Yea I think you're right. Oh well.
Only buy from StubHub if the tickets are listed as instant download
STOP SUPPORTING SECONDARY SCALPER SITES!!
They are horrible. No I’ve attempted also to be reimbursed for the trouble. But no luck.
Thanks everyone! I bit the bullet and got Gondola Box seats for Saturday. A little more than I wanted to spend, though I think they were actually a decent price considering.
yes i did. i got on a stubhub at around 1 pm for $365 and it was section 104 row 22 amazing view
Mine yesterday for four three right in front of the stage. Mother looks so big on stage! I'm so happy that I decided to go for front view. It was about 5 00
Yes I got 2 thru Ticketmaster sec 104 row 10 for $324 each today, it was perfect
hi guys have any of you bought last minute tickets for the miss possessive tour? if yes, how'd it go? did you get tickets for a lot cheaper? I am going to MSG night 2 tomorrow and I still don't have tickets, I'm planning to get them an hour before the show starts hoping they will drop in prices which they usually do. I've seen some tiktoks of girls buying last minute and then getting on the floor for like 150-200 bucks.... but let me know if any of you bought last minute!
I tried waiting till the last minute for Toronto and they didn’t drop their prices at all. The only affordable seats were slightly behind the stage, but still $250 🥲
I feel you girl, I went to Tate’s show on the 20th in Toronto and dropped like $320 on plaza tickets the day of. I bought it through StubHub for safety. It was a pretty good view (I was seated row 8 section 102) but it saddens me realizing I probably could have gotten tickets like that for a bit cheaper.
The 20th was the day I was trying for too 😩 I checked numerous times throughout the day and they just wouldn’t go cheaper. I had already seen her in Edmonton, and was in Toronto for another concert and decided I may as well try to go shain since I had such a good time in Edmonton. So, it wasn’t a huge deal I couldn’t go, but I was still sad 😅
I went to her Toronto show on the 19th. When I got to the venue, I checked StubHub and Ticketmaster out of curiosity. Pit tickets dropped from $1000 to $300. This was still an hour or so before she came on
i am ALWAYS team wait. i went to go see the weeknd this past summer section 100 and floor tickets were 300-400 , i waited the morning of got AMAZING seats for $63!!!!!!!!!! Since then, i am never purchasing concert tickets in advance EVER again.
Did you buy via Ticketmaster?
Wow. Will wait, thanks
It’s a mixed bag in NYC 😭 I’d set a budget and purchase once you see tix you want. I bought mine 3 days ago and have been paranoid I overspent (in case tix drop day of) but they look like they’ve stayed the same 🤷
i would wait. i’ve been stalking tonight’s prices for MSG. and section A which is right in front of the stage on the floor legit went from 600 to 340…. from a few hours ago. and it will probably even drop further in a few hours. just keep checking every hour, these prices are constantly changing.
I wouldn’t have minded that price if they weren’t behind the stage 🥲 All the other tickets were still $400+ 😩
I always recommend waiting last minute. the prices sometimes even tend to drop down 50%. as it gets closer to concert time all of the resellers start to "panic" and drop their prices down drastically just so they can make SOME money off of their tickets, even for cheap, they are just trying to sell them out at that point. I always wait.
Wow. Thanks, will wait
Like the title says, what are the odds of scoring tickets for a reasonable price the day of or couple days before show?
I wouldn’t say they were even really nose bleeds.. I guess it’s just on how much you’re willing to spend. For me, two seats in section 221 row T were worth the $500 each. You can easily play the “how much more would you spend” game… $50 more each, sure… another $50 more each… maybe… jers an unzoomed photo… obviously photos don’t do it justice but you get an idea.
So you bought the week of the show, after prices dipped I’m assuming?
I bought tix on Tuesday for the 8/22 show. I don’t know anything about prices dipping… there were actually tix I saw on Monday for a little less but gone by the time I decided to buy. They were the cheapest tickets available at that time. Next time I checked back, the tickets I bought were no longer available and other tickets were even more expensive
Probably next to zero. I got tickets the week of the concert for a little over 500 each and that was the absolute best price and it was on the top level… I will say that the seats were still great and I don’t think there is a bad seat in the whole arena
So in your opinion nosebleed seats are still worth 500-700?
Im trying to go to these Sept 14 show
Whats a “reasonable” price?
400?
Depends bro. You can try and make the line for a ticket but that will eat up a full day for you. The other option is showing up at the concert and seeing if anyone is selling out in front maybe you can get one for 400 but idk if they are up charging. Crazy enough I would do stubhub day of the concert the prices go down day of the concert so you can test your luck there. It’s a toss up bro.
how to get last minute concert tickets
Here are some key strategies for securing last-minute concert tickets:
Official Box Office: Check the venue's official box office for any last-minute releases or returns. Sometimes, tickets are held back for various reasons and can be made available close to the event.
Ticket Resale Platforms: Use reputable resale sites like StubHub, SeatGeek, or Vivid Seats. These platforms often have last-minute tickets available as fans sell their tickets due to unforeseen circumstances.
Social Media and Fan Groups: Follow the artist and venue on social media. Fans often post about available tickets or last-minute sales. Joining fan groups on platforms like Facebook can also help you find tickets.
Mobile Apps: Download ticketing apps that offer notifications for last-minute deals. Some apps allow you to set alerts for specific events.
Day-of-Show Discounts: Some venues offer discounts on unsold tickets on the day of the concert. Arriving early can give you a chance to snag these deals.
Standing Room Only (SRO): Check if the venue offers standing room tickets, which are often sold at a lower price and can be available last minute.
Recommendation: Always compare prices across multiple platforms to ensure you’re getting the best deal. Be cautious of scams, especially on less-known resale sites. If you’re flexible with your plans, consider attending concerts on weekdays or less popular shows, as they often have more last-minute availability.
