How to Get on the TikTok Creator Fund

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the TikTok Creator Fund, you must meet specific criteria. Your account needs at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days [1:1][2:2]. Additionally, your account must be in good standing, adhering to TikTok's community guidelines [2:2].

Application Process

Once you meet the eligibility requirements, the option to apply for the Creator Fund should appear in your account settings. If you're unable to find it, ensure you're navigating correctly through the app's menu. From your profile, tap the hamburger menu on the top right, go to Settings and Privacy, then scroll to Balance to check your Creator Fund status [2:6].

Country Availability

The Creator Fund is not available in all countries. Some users have reported issues accessing the fund due to their location. For instance, the Creativity Program has replaced the Creator Fund in some regions and may not be available everywhere [3:1][3:2]. It's important to verify whether your country supports the Creator Fund or its alternatives.

Switching Between Programs

If you've joined the Creativity Program Beta, you cannot revert to the Creator Fund [5:1]. This transition is part of TikTok's strategy to encourage original content creation. Users who primarily post non-original content, such as music videos or TV clips, may face challenges with the Creativity Program Beta [5:1][5:2].

Content Strategy for Monetization

To maximize earnings from TikTok, consistency and originality are key. Posting regularly and finding a niche can help attract and retain followers [4:1]. Videos with engaging hooks tend to perform better [4:3]. If your current content isn't generating income, consider exploring new formats or topics that align with TikTok's monetization policies.

ORIGINAL POST

I have an account on TikTok with 3k followers already. I’m exploring on how to earn TikTok and I heard there’s this Creator Fund where TikTok pays you money for the views of your videos, but I don’t see any Creator Fund on my account. Please help.

Physical-Union-6075 · 7 months ago

You have to have 10K followers and 100,000 views in a 30 day period then you can apply 😔

yeah but I cant find the option for Creator Fund cuz I wanna see the requirements . Will it just appear if I reach 10k already?

Numerous_Ad8495 · 7 months ago

The option won't be there because your not eligible. Most you can do is look at guidlines on tiktok rules

then your account is not in an eligible country if you cant see it.

It looks like you might be. The way they had it set up, it was very easy to click join and only a very small line that says you can’t go back to the creator fund.

I switched to a business account and the creator fund disappeared, switched back and it was there again. That maybe your issue

You're in the wrong menu. From your profile, tap on the hamburger menu on the top right, then navigate to Settings and Privacy instead of Creator tools. If you're enrolled in the Creator Fund, you can then scroll to Balance. You'll see your Creator Fund balance in Income +

How do I access creator fund?

Posted by HonestBayernFan · in r/Tiktokhelp · 1 year ago

So yesterday I had a video doing really good which made me get to over 10k followers. I now have the criteria’s fulfilled for Creator Fund, but I live in Sweden. I remember a friend telling me about a friend of his, who lives in Sweden aswell and made 20,000 USD a month. How do I get the money from Creator Fund, how do I join it if I’m here and he could? Any tips?

The creator fund isn’t around anymore, it was replaced with the creativity program. Under your creator tools, there are some other requirements needed as well as 10k followers. If you meet those you should be able to apply

How can i make money

Posted by StandardEntry732 · in r/Tiktokhelp · 7 months ago

I have been in the creator fund since September and haven’t made a dime. Videos over a minute are lucky to get over 300 views. Other shorter form videos get a little over that. I don’t consistently post because i’m a college student nor do i have a niche. I have been a tiktok shop affiliate for about a 2 weeks and gotten increased views but haven’t made any money. My account has like 13k followers and some small form of income would be amazing. Any tips? Like is there a simple niche i can just yap about? Should i try to post short videos and see if my views increase then go to longer videos? Should I just keep trying to post longer videos? Do i need more hashtags?

Post every day. Consistency is key. Interact with others after posting. And find a niche. If you are just posting random videos that have no niche no one wants to commit to your content.

Want to go back to Creator Fund -- Can I?

Posted by Desperate_Video_6621 · in r/Tiktokhelp · 2 years ago

I signed up for the Creator Fund and emailed TikTok and asked them why I have not received my pay yet, and they told me to sign up for the Creativity Program Beta Fund. Without knowing much about either because I am new to this, I am regretting it because my content is mostly music videos and clips from TV shows, which is usually rejected by the Beta fund. I don't see a place where I can go back and re-sign up for the Creator Fund -- am I correct about this? Is there any way I can go back to the Creator Fund? I have alot of amazing followers and they love my content, and I really need to be making money.

You (nor anyone) don’t deserve to monetize somebody else’s content. And that’s why TikTok is transitioning to this new program. “I see other people doing it” doesn’t make it any less unethical.

Please stop hoping the creator fund will be your answer to being a creator full time

Posted by Joyintheendtimes · in r/Tiktokhelp · 7 months ago

I’ve been in the creator fund for years, so let me be the one to tell you that so few people make a full time living solely on the creator fund. Like the top top top fraction of a percentage of creators. Even If you get a huge following, it often nets out to nice side hustle money, not a full time career. For example, I have 400k followers. I get a little chunk of change each month from the creator fund, but the vast majority of my money comes from my own business services which I use TikTok to promote.

So if you’re putting all your eggs in this basket, stop. Not only because it won’t likely yield the money you’re hoping for, but also because TikTok owns you on the platform and can take everything away in a second. You should be building a separate business and see the fund as a nice to have; not a necessary to have

Whats your niche?

1 upvotes on reddit
No_Carpenter_579 · 7 months ago

Okay with that in mind I have a question. I’m a new creator on YouTube twitch and tiktok. YouTube is doing okay, not getting a lot of growth quickly. TikTok however takes off like a rocket ship when I post there, I want to convert my tiktok audience to my YouTube. How do I do this successfully?

1 upvotes on reddit
Previous-Return-2998 · 7 months ago

You can’t convert your audience unless you’re offering something they truly can’t get anywhere else. It’s very difficult. TikTok’s algorithm can’t be compared to any other app, it’s the best of the best and gives everyone a chance. Hope it sticks around

1 upvotes on reddit
No_Carpenter_579 · 7 months ago

So would you say for YouTube maybe I should focus on longer more edited videos instead of the fast pace less edited TikTok’s ?

Well, frankly, any company can pull a rug on employment. This is solid advice, absolutely, for any field. Not just TikTok.

Good mind, and wise words. Keep educating.

Joyintheendtimes · OP · 7 months ago

Totally true that any cup can pull the rug out, and I’m SO sorry about what your company did!

That said, I think it’s two different circumstances. If a company does that, you can usually find another similar job. But if TikTok does it, you’re totally screwed if you don’t have a solid foundation of other income sources

1 upvotes on reddit
CannabisWithSumCum · 7 months ago

No doubt! But that’s also how it is for any employer for the disabled really. It’s HARD out here, larger cities are different like Chicago, NYC, etc.

I’m in a rural region, kinda. Central Iowa-ish.

It’s, not ideal. I had MUCH better luck in Chicagoland.

Unemployment laws do exist in some regions of earth, but, in my local area, I had a seizure on a job, and got let go. They blamed performance, and legally slid with it. My performance did in fact, on paper, suffer.

This is a loophole exploited by many poor managers and higher up’s. Unfortunately.

It isn’t everyone, either. Let’s remember that.

Yea i figured this out in 2 weeks since starting my acct on jan 20. My first video went mini viral at 500k views (didnt have followers) and after 10 days i hit 10k followers. One other video at 300k views but before i had 10k. Most videos are getting 3-10k views and even as i perfect my videos its totally random If it goes viral. My 500k video was a crap edit and went viral my new ones are well edited and get little so yea TT is more like a slot machine where if u get lucky u will make a few bucks

That was my fear. I’ve tried running multiple different ones and it seems to do the same. Though, I had a creepy facts type channel that gets awesome retention but rarely breaks 1000 views. I think I’m going to focus on my ani aged channel. Just kind of afraid the RPM might suck.

TikTok Creator Fund Support

post image

What’s good everybody, this is my first post on this reddit page. I’m gonna start by saying doing this creator fund is NOT easy and it takes patience, hard work AND research.

I have been in this fund since Feb, and was able to reach 10k followers in about 2-3 weeks. The views are rolling in now I get between 150-400k views a day.

I made about 2-3k a month the first 3 months but my RPM tanked about 80% because my videos randomly started surfacing low paying countries.

This is my first account and I’ve managed to get another account to 10k followers in less time but decided it was too much work to do both accounts, work a full time job and have time for family.

I am willing to help anyone that is ready, I am offering one on one lessons to do a a full breakdown of your TikTok channel and to help you choose your Niche if you are starting out. I will share the ways on what I did to achieve making money doing Faceless TikTok. If you are interested let me know. Of course this won’t be free, time is money and money is time.

For those in the Creator Fund, is it worth it or just pennies?

Posted by Maciek-Bilski · in r/TikTokMarketing · 6 days ago

I keep seeing mixed takes about the TikTok Creator Fund. Some people say it’s free money, others say it’s literally pennies for thousands of views.

If you’re actually in it, how much are you making? Is it worth signing up or is it better to focus on brand deals, TikTok Shop, or other monetization options?

Would love to hear some real numbers or experiences.

I was making about $40 for a million views, which is laughably bad. The worst part is once you join, your videos get way less reach - I went from averaging 200k views to barely hitting 30k overnight. Left the fund after 2 months and my views bounced back within a week. Brand deals pay 100x better anyway.

Are you a faceless creator? I heard that faceless content doesn’t get monetized anymore and gets flagged as “Unoriginal” which gets it disqualified from the program.
