Yea I always had dense hair and so one day I decided I'd grow my hair out and it'd look rad. Except my hair had thinned out so much that my long hair was super stringy and lifeless. It looked extremely bad. Even 3 months into taking meds, my hair looks so revitalized. Truly crazy. I might have to grow my hair out in a few years if/when I've had a good recovery from meds!

am I allowed to say it doesn’t even look bad? your hairline seems to be the same, density might be slightly lower and overall hair health is slightly lower as well. For 4 years I think this is a very recoverable loss (if any). Just like anyone would suggest here, getting on a usual fin & min regimen and sticking to it (meaning don’t be scared of sheds and stop) is the only viable option.

I mean, your thinned hair is something that many people on here would envy, but the parting is wider, yeah. You might consider a diferent style that maximises the hair you have, and not try to hold onto the old style. That might be the best way to transition into a different phase. Bottom line is, while your hair might not be 100% what it was, it is still better than so many people your age. Make the most of it!

The number of units to send is usually pre-determined by the agency and dispatch just sends what they need. Two officers is a perfectly normal amount for a domestic. Officers can always put themselves on the call or request more backup if needed.

I would say that if your agency had 8+ units ready to send to a domestic and it wasn't a hostage situation, then they could probably be using their resources better. Half of them could be doing traffic or drug enforcement or anything else really.

I know the feeling , it can be overwhelming sometimes but my tip is very simple , write what you feel . I had some pen pals where they were honest on how they did not know what to write to me so for me to get them into some comfort, I would write silly or fun ice breaker questions that always does the trick. I send around 20 letters a week.

In your profile under "matching preferences" you can exlude topics like "relationship" and "sex", and you won't see the profiles of those looking for that.

When I use auto-match I send out max 3 letters per week, and I usually get 1 reply out of 3. In that case you can prepare a general letter and choose 1 main topic (tell them it's an auto-match), because you don't know anything about the penpal, yet.

When I go through profiles, I check if they have a bio, their sent/reply ratio, and their answering time. I only write to those who have a profile, so that I can tailor my first letter showing that I read their info.

I keep a maximum of 8 penpals at once (a few write every week, other once a month). With them the length average from 600 to1200 words.

Be patient because it's called Slowly. And be prepared to being ghosted, but be kinder, and say goodbye when you fell there is nothing more to share 😊.

The first letters I sent were... not good (and didn't get a lot of replies), but I feel like now that I've been using Slowly for a couple of months, I'm getting better at figuring out 1) if someone is a good candidate to be my penpal 2) what to write, and the replies have been more consistent, though not guaranteed. Some people might not reply, and it's not necessarily because the letter you wrote isn't good enough, it's just how it is. Also, if you sent the letter yesterday, give your penpal some time to reply, some users take days, weeks or months, it's just part of the charm of the website. I sent out 40-45 letters to new people when I first installed the chat. (A month ago) Now, I share letters with eight people and out of those eight, four are fast repliers. So, it's like we share letters to each other regularly or on alternative days at max with those four.
