TL;DR
For a straightforward episode guide, consider using the Miraculous Ladybug Fandom Wiki for detailed episode descriptions and release dates [1:1]. The order of episodes is not crucial before Season 4, but watching in production order can enhance continuity
[4:5].
Episode Order and Continuity
The order of episodes in "Miraculous Ladybug" can be confusing due to different airing schedules across regions. For Seasons 1 to 3, the episode order isn't particularly important, as there is minimal continuity or plot progression between episodes [1:4],
[4:7]. However, starting with Season 2, more plot-focused episodes appear, making it beneficial to follow a specific order for better understanding
[2:1],
[4:5].

Resources for Episode Guides
Several resources are available for finding episode guides. The Miraculous Ladybug Fandom Wiki provides detailed episode descriptions and international release dates [1:1]. Additionally, fans have created charts and guides that suggest viewing orders based on production numbers or chronological events
[4:1],
[4:6].
Plot Progression and Character Development
Season 2 introduces more plot-focused episodes compared to Season 1, with significant character development and new powers being introduced [2:1],
[2:3]. For Season 3, episodes like "Chameleon" and "Backwarder" are recommended for their plot relevance
[2:2].
By following these recommendations and utilizing available resources, viewers can navigate the series more effectively and enjoy the storyline's progression.
I looked at the Wikipedia side but it's really confusing. I just need it for the 3 season. I have seen the first and second season on Netflix and now I'm lost with the third. Can someone help?
That’s the link I use too. The episode guide is right above the trivia section. I’ve noticed they don’t post the release date until usually about two weeks before it airs, and it’s usually not in English. It takes a while sometimes for the English dub to come out, but usually within a few days there’s English subs people have posted.
We're getting the third season out of order because different episodes are airing in different regions, so you may just have to accept a little bit of confusion.
Ah i See. Ty!^^
theres basically no continuity/plot progression so i dont think order matters
https://miraculousladybug.fandom.com/wiki/Season_3#International%20releases
When you scroll down, there is episode guide for netflix (names of the episodes and discriptions) and if you want to know release dates click on "international releases" right above list
Thank you ^^
This may grind some people's gears but following long "monster of the week" shows has always been really hard for me ever since I stopped watching TV but I still like Miraculous ladybug enough to want to finish it.
Anyways yesterday I found this post that gives a little summary of each episode of season 1 telling what progresses plot-wise and relationship-wise, I already finished season 1 before finding this but I was wondering if anybody knows of another "plot progression" guide or any type of guide that tells you what are the plot relevant episodes of each season, it would really help me finally catch up to the show without losing interest halfway through.
Honestly I'd say most of season 2 can be considered required viewing. Otherwise you'll get confused on who a certain character is, how they got new powers, etc. Lots of stuff happened

So far in season 3; Chameleon and Backwarder are the only episodes you should watch. Weredad and Chris Master were great, but basically filler. I can give my opinion on the fifth episode after it airs today.
Not that I remember, but season 2 has significantly more plot based episodes that season 1. Almost every episode either introduces a new character, a new form, or some kind of plot point even if it's something minor, like one of the rules of how Akuma's work.
Season 2 is a lot more plot focused than season 1. I think Season 1 was there to introduce the characters, the miraculous, and what Paris goes through on a daily basis. Season 2 tweaks the formula a little bit, it is still "monster of the day" formulaic, but with little sprinkles of plot and character development in almost every episode. For plot based and character development, these are definitely the episodes to watch:
I kind of want to include Befana on the list too. I don't know how much of season 2 you have already watched, so I don't want to spoil anything but in that episode, Tikki gives Marinette something that the writers of the show have said would be important later on. It's only that detail that makes me want to add Befana to that list, the rest of the episode is filler-ish but really fun too.
As for season 3, so far we have only gotten four episodes total and a fifth one is expected to come out tomorrow. Chameleon is plot worthy, but you may have to get over some cringeyness. Weredad doesn't drive the plot, but it does show the beginning of character development, and the recent episode Backwarder is defintiely plot driven goodness (or madness depending on the way you look at it)
In this order all the episodes you need to know to understand the show
that should get you everything you need to watch to understand the show hope this helps someone
This is quite amusing. These things always seem so random to anybody else but the author. (My list would seem just as random to the author or to anybody else but me probably.)
The nature of MLB is that almost every episode has a piece of the puzzle. It could be as insignificant sounding as a blue scarf or the first time that the love-square kissed (except that CN doesn't remember). It could be widely disliked for its cringe; yet that cringe awakened something important. It could be a reviled slice of life story that tells us more of Adrien's, Marinette's and Nathalie's feelings than we are going to get until the fifth season.
IMDB, Miraculous wiki & Netflix each has their own episode list, so what’s the correct order to watch them in? Or does it matter?
Episode order isn't particularly important prior to Season 4, but u/Pairan_Emissary posted a nifty chart yesterday that should be of assistance (I believe the Miraculous Wiki uses the same)
Thanks for the shout out!
I personally like to watch Origins Part 1 and 2 before the rest of Season 1, but that's probably not a biggie either way.
I was trying to figure out a chronological order for a a while, but Season 3 has a few conflicts/statements that mess this up, so I gave up at that point. So at this point production code order is about as good as any. Santa Claws originally aired between Seasons 1 and 2, and it works pretty good as a Season 1 to 2 bridge.
Fun fact: the wall calendar planner in Marinette's room shows 30 days in February...
One other thought on production code order. Keep in mind that earlier episodes in the production pipeline may give writers ideas for stories later on in the production cycle that end up 'predating' previous episodes, which is why production code order for shows may have a few episodes that chronologically would show up earlier in retrospect.
FYI I did look at the Miraculous Wiki for the Season 5 info when I updated my infographic, but my main source is good old Wikipedia, which sourced a tweet published back in March of this year. SO FAR, the Season 5 episode names have corresponded with that tweet.
Anyways, just trying to help!
episode order is important in seasons 2,3, and 4 IMO. i rewatched it recently in the correct production order and it makes a LOT more sense. characters didn't feel so inconsistent.
Thanks. Then I won’t have any problems.
I think the wiki is correct and you’ll see pictures of the ep order floating around on Twitter and YouTube
Go by production number, but don’t think too much about continuity is s1.
here is a guide that goes beyond production numbers if you want to be fancy about it.
edit: Oh, yes, the link.
for season 1-3 there are very few episodes that have to be watched in a certain order
This is perfect! Thank you
Ok so I’ve run into 3 or 4 different orders for the series. I’m trying to figure out which is actually correct. Is it the one on Disney +, or https://miraculousladybug.fandom.com/wiki/ Or somewhere else? Also Hulu is making me annoyed by saying Climatiqueen is episode 6 of Season 6 instead of Episode 1. But over all I’m a bit confused and want to make an accurate chart for what I’m working on. Please help!!!
theres a video by haze clarke on youtube of the miraculous timeline up until season 5 finale (and reverse special). Some dates were incorrect and are mentioned in the pinned comment
you can find the video here
Thank you.
Try IMDb, there you have a list of all episodes, now I don't remember if they are all in order (haven't watched this show from ep. 1 to 131 in a long time)
According to Disney+ The Evillustrator is episode 7, but on wiki it’s #2.
The Wiki is correct. But also in Season 1 the order doesn’t matter apart from Volpina being the last one
Thanks.
The movie isn’t canon
I’m not talking about the movie. Or are you saying the Miraculous World Movies aren’t canon?
Season 1 doesn't follow strict rules, except for some things:
So, basically, counting the production order and those notes, the order would be as on the picture.
Now, coming to season 2, there are less rules, or, should I say, less fluctuations from the production order.
Season 3 should be watched in the production order. After season 3 goes New York special. Shanghai's placement is disputeable, watch it after New York to be sure. Season 4 and 5 strictly follow the production order.
Season 6's order so far:
So, I currently have this lined up, but, I know I'm missing some specials, I'm looking for the CHRONOLOGICAL order. But I realised I'm missing the Christmas special, and, I'm not uo to date with miraculous anymore I think last season I watched fully was season 4. I need a little help finishing my list.
The chronological order for season 2-5 is the production order. Season 1 is kind of whatever because it was written in a short time and kind of a Proof of concept season. Can we please stop randomly rearranging episodes in 2-5?
Season 4's order is just the producton order I'm pretty sure, same as 5
Mr. Pigeon 72 has to be right after Gang of Secrets, Queen Banana has to be after Sole Crusher, and Gabriel Agreste and Qilin have to be before Dearest Family. I think for S4 it's entirely in production order.
Where did you get that S4 order from?
Wiki fandom I think, I had that list for a pretty long time

No problem
My brother has asked me to make a lore heavy episode list so that he can get caught up on Miraculous without watching filler. How is this list is there any that needs adding (This is chronological) from season 5 onward
You low-key don’t need to watch the Shanghai special unless you wanna understand one specific part of the s5 finale, same with New York (I know from experience as I didn’t watch any of the specials before watching the finale and I was only moderately confused)
Yea my brother also wanted to watch all the hero introduction episodes and it’s a fun time too for me

I don't think reflekdoll is that lore heavy tbh
Not really but it is the first time we see Mister Bug and Lady Noire
fillers are.. FILLERS.
they describe episodes in a show that does not exist in the original material the show is based on.
what you want is more akin to the x-files episode categories. "monster of the week" or "mythology" episodes. to understand the show and the character development, both types need to be watched. but the mythology episodes include details of the (kind of) main storyline. so you could only watch those to catch up on the main storyline. but then you would have seen a very different kind of show than me.
I just checked the Season 4 list on Netflix and started watching them but Party Crasher seemed to be so out of order?? Like with as little spoilers as possible, 3 new miraculous were given out but I have no context and Chat already seemed to have known 2 of them soooo
because not all the episodes have aired, and they don't air in order. So Netflix just grabbed a few from the back half to combine with the first half to get to 13. We're still missing few from the first half. Use the wiki to find the production order. That's the intended viewing order.
Thanks!!
It's season 3.
It just shows as season 4 on Netflix because they're releasing half a season at a time since season 2. So the first half of season 2 shows as season 2. The second half of S2 shows as season 3.
It's my understanding if you go into them to watch the episodes, they should show as the correct season.
That is correct
I only have season 2 part 1 but I'm in Germany and im normally in Canada so is season 3 out there
301 - Chameleon
302 - Animaestro
303 - Bakerix
304 - Backwarder
305 - Reflekdoll
306 - Weredad
307 - Silencer
308 - Oni-Chan
309 - Miraculer
310 - Oblivio
311 - Desperada
312 - Chris Master
313 - Startrain
314 - Kwami Buster
315 - Feast
316 - Gamer 2.0
317 - Stormy Weather
318 - Ikari Gozen
319 - Timetagger
320 - Party Crasher
321 - Puppeteer 2
322 - Chat Blanc
323 - Felix
324 - Ladybug
325 - Loveater (Battle of the Miraculous - part 1)
326 - Miracle Queen (Battle of the Miraculous - part 2)
Enjoy ;)
Btw, its not season 4, its season 3 part 1 for Netflix.
Thanks for this, was about to ask what the order was.
Oh, I just noticed your note at the end. I didn't need to point that out after all then. Oh well.
Geez Netflix is really out of order
