I got my eyes in this animation a few years ago and it's awesome, but is a hell on earth find episodes from season 3 and 4.
Supposed to be later half of 2025.

Holy shit we haven’t seen ladybug and cat noir in season six, this is fucking mind blowing
I mean, yeah I agree with that last point. Just curious why OP thinks season 6 specifically is the reason it won't happen.
I mean, fair and I agree the books wouldn't really work if adapted but that seemed obvious from the second half of season one onward. I'm just curious why OP said specifically season 6 is the reason it wouldn't work.
I loved season 6. Colin Hanks did a good job.
Religious themes appear pretty subtly in the show though in almost every season. There was just much more of it in season 6.
I feel like Doomsday was a good season. But people woulda appreciated it if it was an earlier season lile maybe S3 or something.
Rewatching the whole show right now and honestly it’s not as bad as I remember. I think the DDK murders/crime scenes themselves are excellent - some of them almost top the ITK murders.
But ITK worked better when we didn’t know who the killer was. The crime scenes were so much more intriguing when we had no idea who was responsible. Not only that, but the whole fight club ending is dumb. It’s still not the worst season tho
I honestly have no bad seasons. I get that people hate S8 because of how it ended but I think hate is a strong word. I also know Saxon wasn't developed well but I like him being pure evil and he was decent imo. S7 i really liked because of Sirko dude and S6 was really fun for me. The other 5 are all great too. I just can't complain much about this series at all man I am sooo in love with it. (NB ending was ass but hey theres good theres bad in everything lol)
Why is this specific season the reason the novels can't be adapted?
No. It's because the doomsday killer book very much personified the Dark Passenger. These two entities are literally enemies since the dawn of existence.
I'm sure fans would hate that adaptation, yeah.
I guess I just don't see Season 6 as an adaptation of that, though? Because Season 6 didn't involve any of that. It involved a Christian with schizophrenia who delusionally believed he had to bring about the end of the world by killing people to create signs. (And it was counter-balanced by the witness of a mentally healthy Christian, Brother Sam.)
While religion was a topic in Season 6, nothing supernatural noticeably happened (except possibly Dexter's heart moving a bit with Brother Sam). The show kept its treatment of religion purely mundane, never bringing actual God (or actual demons) into the picture. Which is actually unusual for serial television of that time period; it used to be common for even non-supernatural shows, like House MD, to include a few episodes that hinted to the possibility of supernatural things being real. And those were always well received. They just played it in a way where the level of mystery left things feeling possible, just like how it often is in real life. Dexter didn't even go with the 'divine mysteries are possible' angle, it just Scooby Doo'd it and caught the guy with schizophrenia. A boring plot, and not a supernatural plot. So I think people disliked it for other reasons, like being boring. So I don't agree that the reception to Season 6 has anything to do with why they didn't imitate the books; they'd already not been imitating the books for years, and Season 6 wasn't imitating the books either.
Also, that book plot always sounded so dumb to me, lol. Really, the author picked Moloch as the demon to associate with Dexter? Moloch is infamous for child sacrifice, and Dexter is extremely protective of children.
I can't know if I agree because you didn't explain your argument.
What's your argument? Was the Doomsday storyline a book storyline or something? And the unpopularity of that storyline on TV reminded the writers not to mimic the books?
I'd never heard that Doomsday was from the novels, though. So yeah. I don't know what argument you're trying to make.
Ok but that doesn’t explain why season 6 of the tv show prevents adaptations? Your only argument is that book 3 wouldn’t translate in your opinion to the show. Your argument against book 3 has nothing to do with season 6
Almost every episode has a theme about one of the characters, it is so new people who want to watch miraculous can start with season 6 without problem, but also so we can learn about them more and be lead to something bigger at the end.
At the moment there are 2 big pillars of unpredictability for season finale, Adrien and Cerise. How will Adrien react about who was Monarch and what will Cerise do about this? Those are the questions.
Between the new episodes there's a pattern of family. Sabrina has overprotective parents, Sublime has overreacting parents, Nathaniel has discipline parents, Emilie had ungrateful parents, Ivan had supervillain parents.
All of this people used to struggle with the thoughts of "if you should do as your parents or do as yourself and how can you be a good person, a hero if your parents aren't, do you deserve it?" And until now they all accepted they will never be their parents, they can be heroes, they can be good people, but this patterns gets repetitive, so we have to break it with Adrien.
Will he have the same revelation like the others and stay a hero or he'll break under pressure and become a villain?
> it is so new people who want to watch miraculous can start with season 6 without problem
You mean to tell me that I COULD'VE SKIPPED 5 SEASONS ALREADY?
Well, the first 5 season have the most information about characters and all that, so if you'd skip directly to season 6 you'd miss a lot of details but also if you'd start with season 6 you'd just get introduced to this details along the way and the new mystery villain would get even more mysterious
Oh okay
Still continues watching the First Saga First like it's a Long Adventure
Also Nino is getting his own episode which will probably cover his divorced parents. I really like how the show is growing with the audience and its characters with them being in lycée.
They'll probably be the first responders to his distress and he'll bond with them over their shared bad parents. They'll eventually help him understand that his parentage doesn't define who he is.
I'm the only one who still has doubts whether this will be an enjoyable episode ?
Why is Luka so sad about it though
Good question.
Still waiting for the full October schedule
Took them long enough.
Man it's gonna be part into 2026 or 2027 by the time they decide to get all season six out
I think there's a new episode on September 27, Mr Agreste.
[removed]
Patience is a virtue.
The next episode is releasing September 27
My personal opinion: I think we’ll end on a cliffhanger after Lila does a public broadcast throughout all of Paris revealing the fact that Ladybug had lied to Paris, and that Monarch was actually Gabriel Agreste.
I think she'll only reveal that Ladybug knows who Monarch is, but not actually reveal his identity. Then it'll be everybody in the Miraculers knowing she should tell them but she won't. Betrayal and distrust.
I wonder how long it'll take for the mods to delete this post too, since they seem to delete posts for random reasons even when they aren't breaking the rules.
If she doesn't reveal his identity (with proof) how can Lila prove Ladybug was lying. If she just says "Ladybug knew who Monarch was and lied to you all because I said so" it would be very easy for LB to just say she's lying.
I have approved this post, it is staying up I just added a spoiler tag to it.
Why spoiler? All the body text is speculation, and the image is a poster for the current season
I agree with you Lila needs to use this against ladybug ASAP
I think we will see Lila first akumatization and maybe we will also find out what happened to Alix
something happened to Alix?
Yes.She doesn’t appear in season 6 episodes
Mari: Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster! Disaster...
Lila: Justice.
Good thing
in 2027 due to the repetitive hiatus.
Nah well be lucky if then, 2030 at the least
First of all, I'll start with the negatives:
Obviously, Marinette's behavior has not been the best throughout every episode, she still has those unnecessary cringy moments, but I gotta say, I feel like it's better than some other seasons AND the writers are clearly trying to show us that Marinette is changing and that it's hard to deal with lying to everyone... twice.
Shity characters still get redeemed way to easily, Adrien's granfather, for example, deserved far worse than the nothing-punishment that he got; this guy has clearly been a shi dude for his entire life, abusing his wife and never reaching out to Adrien - until Werepaps - but guess what? He just gets shown as this nice caring guy at the end of the episode, it's called "bad writing", and it's not the first time we've seen something like that.
But honestly, those are the only negatives so far imo, the season has WAY more positives than negatives, so let's delve into them, shall we?
First of all: the animation. It's a very very clear upgrade for earlier seasons and it doesn't ruin any character's design, although people might not like Adrien's new design, I actually disagree; I think it looks just fine and yes it's better than the og, but it's good enough imo.
Second of all: Adrienette. We finally have our main characters in actual relationships, unlike those Marichat, Ladynoir, Lukanette and Adrigami fake-outs, and I have been a very big fan of Adrienette - except for Illustrahater -, their relationship is just so satisfying to watch, very good chemistry between them and it's not cringe or unrealistic imo.
Third of all: minor characters finally getting some good character development; Ivan standing up to his shi* dad, Juleka singing, Julerose kiss, Sabrina redemption, Zoe build up etc... the writing for those minor characters has been great, far better than any other season.
Last, but not least, of all: the villainy arc; especially after Natalie's last encounter. Lila is a far better villain than Gabe; she's so anonymous, even to us, and she manipulates the people she akumatizes very, very well. We don't know her motives yet, and we don't know who she's working with apart from Miss Tsurugi ig, and I really like this mysterious vibe because we've never had it before and it's eventually gonna culminate in some seriously good plot.
The positives are far, FAR more than the negatives and it's just overall feels like a good, fresh start. This might be the best season since like season two. Mic drop
I liked the latest episode where alya learned hawk moth was Gabriel then she mad at marinette for and cat erased her memory for it.
I really liked how cat also knows the identity of all the miraculars makes him seem like the equal to ladybug he is.I also liked how alya mad and gonna tell adrian (Until she had her memory erased)I think thats a good choice for the narrative.

The only point I can really make with the granddad’s mainly comes down to the two more or less coming to an understanding. Especially considering during the akuma fight they both didn’t really want to fight in that situation. The whole thing at lunch seemed more like it was simply a matter of pride , and both realizing that they would have to put that nonsense aside for the sake of Adrien. Don’t get me wrong. I still think that Emile is a total wanker, but I also think it’s a bit too early to say he was necessarily redeemed.
Ask for Marinette’s behavior, I do agree that it’s problematic, but at the same time I’m gonna give her some slack here because it’s pretty clear that she’s under a lot of stress mentally and emotionally. I have an inkling that Marinette doesn’t believe that she’s worthy of being Adrian‘s girlfriend now because of the secret she’s keeping from him. And in spite of what a lot of people would like to believe mental health struggles aren’t just something you can fix with magic…
These kind of things take time and it will take both Marinette and Adrien time to work out of their previously bad habits, but they have time to work it out together.
As for Marinette’s choice to keep the secret, I will forever defend her choice because considering all the factors to keep in mind, I feel like regardless of what she had picked she was going to be looking at trouble. Poor girl was truly put in a situation where there was no way that she could have avoided any trouble, and was trying to make the best call she could.
I agree with Mari's decision too
Either way Adrian was going to suffer, and given the fact that by that point, she didn’t know what happened to the butterfly miraculous… Yep. And after the confirmation that the butterfly miraculous was in the hands of someone way worse than Gabriel …
I Agreed with you for the most part!
I still dont like the "thing at the end of the Last episode" you know what i mean
Because i think the tension about the Lie and Secret is much more mature and interesting than that...
The whole Emil stick is kinda a mix bag for me. I grow acostumated by the writers refusal for resolve characters crimes because we need a happy ending (Félix still attempts to obliterated Adrien whole social circle for no reason and get a slap on the wrist for this). I understand the Idea that He is a rígid, old fashion, opressive man. But they need to pick a side: Marinette Granfather is a good exemple of the idea done right: Yes, He was in the wrong but you see cleary that He paid, a LOT, for that and He end up willing want to repent and grow. You can go in both ways with Emil: He is a POS end of the story. OR He is a man who lost his beloved daughter years ago and now have a chance to build something with the Last part of her.
He being the Horrible pos for most of the run time of werepapas and than cherfully eating french fries at the LAST POSSIBLE SECOND of the episode is insane
Just make him REFUSE to go and have Milly trying
Or did a good job with him: make him a unconfortable person. He treat the Grassetes, Nathalie and Marinette poorly but He is kind to his wife and Hesitent with Adrien...
Build a f**** character not a cardbord
In my 2 ideas 1st - He is a POS He is rude to EVERYONE, treat everyone badly, whem Milly transforms make he ENJOY fighting Johnny. His darkest instincts fully blossom as He can unleash his rage against the father of the man who corrupted his precious daugther. At the End Milly put her foot down and refuse to obey him, showing she is the Duchess and Embrace her grandson's decision. She goes to eat fries with everyone and the end card have them happy eating as Emil's shadow loons over them as a New antagonist
2nd - He is a man of his time He is rude to servents and the Grassete, as He sees then Below him. He was raised that way. BUT, and that is important, He is a caring and loving husband. Maybe cold or distant but never cruel. Making He first words after seeing Adrien being "you have her eyes..." like someone who LOST his beloved daugther and KNOW is his fault but has to be a cold noble. Making He trying to bond with Adrien but FAILING. Like when He asks the rings He tell what they represent, trying to tell his grandson a story but sounding patronizing and heartless When He comes with the contract He can hold Milly's hand tight because in his eyes is a chance to make right this time. When Milly is akumatized by the stress of the situation and Transforms both Johnny and Emil make him try to resist, He being apolagetic to Johnny and even trying to hit the trophy thing adrien is traped in. SHOW us that underneat that brick of a man is a griving father. When the situation with the bad butterfly is solved He tries to regain his illusion but Milly say the "you Love french fries" line showing that He HAVE a more laidback side. THEN show the end card. Make him, Milly and the Grassetes a New support system for Adrien (because He is GOING to need)
AGREED!
I'm coming late to the party but as a new fan I friggin love this season! I am a mega fan who even enjoys the seasons the subreddit hates but this show is just a gift and it's really helped me through rough times. I agree completely with what you said and this soft reboot helped the show massively refocus on so much great stuff.
Never too late! I'm glad this show has helped you :3
It did! I am so hyped for the fall now! 😄
It is the trailers looked a little weird in my opinion but when I watched Sublimation I was sold
I actually liked the trailer
The 6th season of miraculous is right around the corner and that worries me but not for the reasons you think. No no, It’s not it sucking that I’m worried about, it’s the fandom. Now I’m sure you’re all aware that this new season is coming out on January 25 which is sooner than any of us expected but it’s welcoming news, however I am dreading it. Because between the internet being what it is, mere Steven universe, hazbin hotel and even Star Wars level of hatred (seriously you know a fandom needs to be taken down several pegs if people compare it to the toxicity of the Star Wars fandom) and the exhaustion of people constantly complaining of how their head-canons/fanfics didn’t end up happening. I’m just concerned, so I figured this is as good as time as any to sit down, have a small intervention because with how much hate is surrounding this show at this point it would have to be gravity falls, avatar or even Arcane levels of good just to get them to shut the $&#% up.
Now I’m going to make this abundantly clear so that we’re all on the same page because people on the internet has a tendency to be denser than a brick wall, I’m not saying that everyone in this fandom is bad and I’m not saying that the show is above criticism. I am saying that over the years rather than having a small group of angry people with valid to disproportionate criticisms and getting drowned out by people who genuinely love the show, instead those angry voices get louder and more people willing to listen and this goes for nearly every YouTuber who makes miraculous rant videos and rarely do I see one where they’re more nuanced with the show if not mostly speaking it’s praises. It’s a popular show and unfortunately it falls under the line of overhating a popular series.
And to those of y’all who think I’m overly dramatic about this. First of all, I doubt I’m the only person who is making a post like this (shout out to the other miraculous fans who made similar posts to mine) so clearly there’s a problem. Second, I can’t be convinced that I’m overthinking this when this is the same fandom who:
I can keep going but you get my point. It’s to the point where the haters are more obsessed with this show than its actual fans, whether that’s a good thing or not is up to you to decide. But all of this has gotten to a point where y’all pick apart Thomas’s work, treating every mistake in the show and demonize him like he killed your dog. I don’t know the man personally and I don’t believe he’s perfect but I’m not gonna act like some of yall don’t deserve it when he fights back or just blocks you. The biggest problem isn’t the shows writing, it’s that the fandom wants it to live up to their expectations or whatever fanfic ideas they have and they’re salty over the show not living up to their standards. Again not saying the show doesn’t have things that aren’t worthy of critiquing but the level of personal vitriol is insane.
We have been at this for nearly a decade now and some complaints still exist to this day and we’re about to enter a new era of this series. Anything that goes wrong will be blown out of proportion because people have this toxic relationship with the show. They rather hate on it than go enjoy something else. It’s a miracle that we’re getting more miraculous despite it originally ending at season 5 but it still worries me as I’m not sure if it’ll be a masterpiece but if the past seasons shown me anything is that it’ll be a fun time with some amazing moments. But if the past seasons were any indicator is that anything that it does even mildly wrong will be held in the worst possible light. Don’t believe me? Look at the reception of Kuro Neko teaser before the episode came out. Or a recent example, look at the reception of bits of the leaked episode without having full context of it. Which btw, THOMAS! JEREMY! WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE, GET BETTER SECURITY FOR THIS SHOW NOW!! The constant leaks every season is getting ridiculous.
I didn’t make my previous post about what fandom opinion you would want to leave behind. It shows that not only people are also sick of these repetitive comments about the show and characters years later but also we don’t need to bring it into the next phase of this series. What I want you guys to take away from this post if you made it this far and to be emotionally ready for when the new season arrives is to set fair expectations if not just abandon them completely or have a wishlist. I want y’all to put aside whatever headcanon mindset that you have for the plot and characters that you want to actually happen in the show. Adrien having more screen time is optional, Chloe coming back and being redeemed is optional, Marinette being akumatized is optional, even the dumb Lila is Manon from the future theory is optional. You may love Chloe and long for her redemption but she could come back as a bratty mean girl for majority of her screen time so you gotta be ready for that.
All I’m asking is for everyone to stop constantly looking for a show y’all built up in their head and whatever the PV version was and to at least try to love the show that you were given. I know I’m not a hard person to please and moving forward I will be a bit more critical of the show only if the situation calls for it. If it genuinely sucks then we’ll roast them for it, if there’s genuine criticisms we’ll point them out. I’ll even lead an angry mob. But I won’t stop being the show’s biggest defender unless it does something truly despicable. Come season 6 and onwards we have to try to appreciate what the show is giving us vs obsessing over what it didn’t turn out to be. I don’t want this new arc to be another $#!% show that the previous arc had to suffer from. I know not a lot of people is going to read this whole thing (thank you if you did I appreciate it) but I’m worried that some people is going ignore everything I said and this next chapter in the miraculous fandom is going to be a fiasco. If there are genuine issues I’ll point them out, but let’s actually try to enjoy the show as it is and not freak out when it doesn’t live up to every impossible level of expectation you have especially when you’re not working on the show itself.
The show has its flaws, but also has a lot of qualities. Glad to see that there are still functioning brains in this fandom. I'm not ashamed to admit that the MLB community is literally like Star Wars: Overhating too much the characters (especially Marinette, a freaking 14 years old girl still exposed to mistakes and quirky situations) and the show, complaining like crazy if events or a character didn't go the way they wanted, and the list goes on.
The saddest thing is that they're still here, still hating the show and yet still watching it because they got too invested in it to let it go. I started Miraculous since its very beginning in 2015 and even though I grew up and happens to complain about some aspects of the show from time to time, I still love it. I just wish people would be more nuanced about their critics and not just trivialize the harassment they subject Thomas and the entire team to.
Just one piece of advice: We should just ignore those as***** and keep enjoying the show.
Wait, now I’m curious. Who have people been overhating on? Also, what character supposedly died in a plane crash? Maybe I’m just out of touch with a lot of these things.
Nowadays a lot of people have been overhating on Marinette. First it was because of the stalking, then it was because she lied about Monarch/Gabriel's death and hiding the fact that he was the villain. And now with the new leaks, people are hating on her paranoid behavior, claiming that her character development has been reversed.
People have been overhating on every single character, and also the writers and Thomas.
And I think Chloé is the one that people are saying died in a plane crash? Idk I joked about it once for Sublime's name was dropped.
I pretty much agree with what you said about the Miraculous fandom because as someone like me who is not as much of a fan of the show as I used to and fell out of the series around season 5, I do agree that this fandom is very toxic and obnoxious at times when it comes to these people attacking the creators especially Thomas Astruc all simply because it didn't give them what the fans wanted in the show when it comes to the fanfic stories the fans created, and while I don't like Thomas Astruc all that much either, I don't go out of my way to attack the guy on Twitter and just disagree with most of his comments he said about the show and pretty much leave the guy alone, and I'm not one of those people that wants to do rewrites or fanfics just because any show didn't give them what they want for certain characters that didn't have the development that fans want to see, I just want to simply move on from any series that isn't for me anymore whenever I'm disappointed in the writing, story, & development, and that to me is a very important thing to do because it gives & helps you to have a better experience to enjoy anything you want to enjoy, so that you don't have to continue to be such a toxic brat or jerk about it, and that's what I pretty much did to Miraculous, I just simply move on from it & move on to other fandoms like Thomas & Friends since that show gives me a better experience as well as enjoying it for what it is and do acknowledge that it has flaws, but it is still a show I enjoyed so much, and I honestly wish a lot of people who hate Miraculous Ladybug would do that when it comes to trying to move on from it because all they do is just hate watch it for no reason other than waiting for a new season so that they can see if the fanfic stories come true in the show, and if that doesn't happen, then they will immediately trash on that season and another simply because it didn't go in the direction that people WANT to see in their fanfic stories especially how they forcibly judge an episode before even seeing the actual episode itself, though I mostly kind of blame the leaks for causing so people to not see the actual episode itself since it revealed too much of the plot points that almost made people not willing to give these episodes a chance and it doesn't help that these episodes are out of order and still is throughout every season of the show which almost made the timeline of the show a little confusing at times.
This is why I might just not interact in this subreddit until after the season ends.
I love this show. It gives me everything I need. If I could make a TV show, it would be very similar to the cuteness and positivity of this one. I only really come on Reddit to make fluffy posts or defend the characters.
Thomas Astruc is a very hot headed guy and I regret going on his Twitter because it's just a bunch of political posts, but Miraculous definitely has a filter on it where it's more utopian and optimistic and wholesome versus Thomas and his passionate views on politics.
I just kind of disregard him personally and admire his creation from afar. And I don't think people fighting with him proved anything at all. He is a stubborn (French) guy and if you think calling him out or telling him his show is bad is gonna change his views is sadly not gonna work. It just created a lot of bitterness for what should be a very cute and light show and I really had to accept and process that becoming a big fan of this show.
I'm not spoiling anything but the leaks I've seen have been supercute and super wholesome when you get the gist of what's going on. I highly advise you do that before judging Marinette or calling her a yandere. She seems more like she just is having a lot of mental problems due to the events of London and Season 5 and the poor thing is resorting back to her weird gawkiness.
