What Redditors are Saying

Naruto vs Sasuke After Timeskip

TL;DR Naruto and Sasuke's post-timeskip battle dynamics are heavily influenced by their individual growth, motivations, and unique abilities. Sasuke's advantages stem from his Sharingan and training under Orochimaru, while Naruto faces challenges due to the Kyuubi's chakra.

Character Development and Motivations

Sasuke's drive and clear goals give him an edge over Naruto after the timeskip. Sasuke has resolved his internal conflict between hatred and love for Team 7, making him more focused and determined [1]. This determination contrasts with Naruto's struggle to match Sasuke's mental resolve, which plays a significant role in their dynamic during battles.

Abilities and Training

Sasuke's Sharingan provides him with significant advantages, allowing him to copy techniques easily and benefit from Orochimaru's enhancements [1:1]. His natural affinity for fire and lightning also contributes to his prowess. Meanwhile, Naruto's chakra is impacted by the Kyuubi, limiting his capabilities without risking unleashing the beast [1:1].

Impact of Plot Devices

The use of plot devices like "plot chakra" and deus ex machina moments influence the narrative around Naruto and Sasuke's battles. For instance, Naruto's rapid growth during the Pain arc and the resurrection at the end were seen as necessary to fulfill promises made to Jiraiya and Nagato [2:3], [2:11]. These elements can affect how viewers perceive the fairness and logic behind Naruto and Sasuke's encounters.

Battle Duration and Dynamics

The final fight between Naruto and Sasuke at the Valley of the End spans a significant portion of the day, transitioning from morning to sunset [5]. While their chakra pools are large, they aren't on par with legendary figures like Hashirama and Madara, who fought for extended periods [5:1], [5:2]. The fight showcases their exhaustion and reliance on stored chakra reserves, highlighting the intensity of their confrontation.

Narrative and Themes

The themes of overcoming hatred and understanding one's enemy are central to Naruto's journey, influencing his interactions with Sasuke. The series emphasizes breaking cycles of hatred through empathy and kindness, as seen in Naruto's approach to conflicts [2:1]. This philosophical underpinning shapes the narrative and character arcs throughout the series.

ORIGINAL POST

(TL;DR at bottom)

The fourth bit in the title is less connected than the first 3, however I thought of this idea when I saw a video defending the talk no Jutsu: https://youtu.be/gH3Sh3hRV-c

The video brought up two points that lead me to my post. 1)The reason why Naruto lost to Sasuke is compared to last time Naruto did not have the philosophical or mental determination to. Sasuke had a clear goal, where before he was divided between his hatred and his love for team 7, now was willing to sacrifice it all.

Naruto is unable to match Sasuke’s drive, not willing to see things from his view, so instead of meeting him on an equal level, he tried to assert dominance but failed.

The second point is why Kakauzu dying to rasenshuriken was not as strong of a moment as it could have. Mainly since Naruto had to connection to this arc other than needing to catch up to Sasuke.

So this lead me to my current belief and standpoint: Naruto could still be weaker than Sasuke after the training trip, however the gap should have been small to negligible. That and Naruto should’ve been close to being able to makethe rasenshuriken. The time skip has a chance to show 1)Where Naruto’s priorities should be and 2)Sasuke’s doubt which can lead to his later on existential crisis.

Naruto should’ve come in with more than just better fundamentals and a slightly bigger blue ball. He should’ve been able to make rasengans without a shadow clone, have a few more jutsu(Nothing too crazy, just maybe some of the shadow clone variants like Shadow Shuriken and explosive clones as examples), and have knowledge of wind style. He can have a wind style Jutsu but it should be a lower rank one.

Naruto should also be using summons more often in battle. He didn’t have a good long ranged Jutsu to catch up deodars, but maybe summoning the toads can clear that gap. This fits rather well for what Naruto would know.

Now he’d have more advanced techniques, some are new like his wind style which is him catching up to Sasuke who already has two transformations, and more on what he already knows like the shadow clone variants. The way he uses summons more also work as a divide between him and Sasuke. Before War arc, Sasuke didn’t seem to be on good terms with summoning snakes.

But now comes the rasenshuriken. See the reason why Naruto doesn’t have more wind style Jutsu in this new version is cause he spent so much time trying to perfect his wind style rasengan. Here; the whole looking left and right at the same time are an allegory for Naruto’s priorities.

He wants to perfect the rasenshuriken to win this Jutsu clashes with Sasuke, however because he keeps going at the problem the same way, he keeps running into the wall without changing. Jiraya tells him this, but Naruto being Naruto doesn’t listen.

He’s so focused on Sasuke that he forgetting two other goals: Being Hokage, and more importantly the Akatsuki. Naruto’s lack thereof of long range Jutsu could bother him when chasing Deidara since he’s strong enough with wind style where a hit is all he needs, but he doesn’t have anything in range. He has limited himself.

And this where we go to him and Sasuke’s reunion. He and Sasuke meet, and Naruto tried the same thing he did the last time they fought. Sasuke scoffs as he shows that mentally he has the upper hand at Naruto. But Naruto gets close to winning, or at least pushes Sasuke more.

It comes close to where Sasuke has to use the first stage of the curse mark at times to keep up. That said the fight and gap would end and be made clear with this: Sasuke gets annoyed and threatens to use his Kirin, however decides to go with Chidori with Kirin as a back up. Naruto seeing the flash, tries to create a Rasenshuriken or a wind style rasengan. But it blows up in his face, he can’t knead the chakra perfectly enough for it to be viable. He wastes his chakra and stamina, and Sasuke, being afraid of the new Jutsu he saw, goes to Kirin. Orochimaru stops him as in Canon.

Naruto now has to face that he can’t divide up his effort like this, and at least for now, he has to give Sasuke a break. He doesn’t give up, however he acknowledges that if he keeps running with sasuke as his goal, while Sasuke’s is more driven and meaningful to him, he will never catch up.

Now with Sasuke. Seeing Naruto, even if Sasuke still was stronger than him, seeing Naruto he able to hold his own against him infuriates him. Not because it’s Naruto, but because of how much he begins to doubt his choice to leave.

Sasuke abandoned everything, his home, new family, and even his soul and body to kill Itachi. He saw this as his own goal for living and righteous one. However, he now learns that Naruto, whose clearly shaken on what he should be doing, is able to keep up with him. Not only this, but Naruto had a Jutsu that scared Sasuke a little, and made him doubt if the pay off for his sacrifice is necessary.

Sasuke saw his choice as the best and only way to catch up to Itachi in power and kill him. He was fine with losing his happiness to do so. But now he wonders,”Could I have gained this power and kept my happiness?” This push’s him to argue with Orochimaru, which makes Orochimaru want to hurry the body swapping process. Things go in Canon, with Sasuke being more infuriated at Orochimaru.

So looking at where these two are at now:

Naruto-After getting his priorities in line begins to train in how Jiraya and Kakashi think he should, gaining more diversity in his arsenal. Naruto begins to mature more as set up to how clear and motivated his goals are once he talks to Nagato. Naruto’s perfection of the Rasenshuriken can come in thus way:

Naruto doesn’t try again until he learns sage mode. Meaning we wouldn’t see the perfect version of this until the pain fight. Kakazu could die some other way. Maybe have him be more active in Asuma’s death so Shikamaru’s team has an emotional moment killing him. Either way, Sage mode acts as a catalyst for Naruto’s transition to being more mature.

He does something Jiraya couldn’t and surpasses Kakashi here, so after this he’s able to look at the Rasenshuriken as something else. It’s not his edge against Sasuke, but the Culmination in his mentors’ teaching. This further goes into his talk with Nagato where Naruto at that point has grown so much that he now surpasses Sasuke’s current mental state.

Sasuke-I thought seeing Naruto nearly catch up to him in power is an easy enough way for Sasuke to make his little denial/fake Team 7.

You got the girl who has crush on him who constantly hits the powerful idiot, and the calm guy who acts as midway between the two but is also super powerful.

Now I’m not 100% on how to handle Sasuke’s motivations after he kills itachi. Could be the same: with Sasuke having a full blown crisis after finding out his life was a lie. He doubles down on this realizing that he may have just given up his new family for a lie, and blames Danzo. He just wants to kill Danzo, not the hidden leaf. He’s still iffy there. When Naruto and him meet Next, it should be a bit more obvious whose stronger and I think it should be Naruto.

He’s begun to figure things out and is maturing much faster than Sasuke whose world is unraveling. From here the series can go how you want since I think you can keep it closer to canon or make more changes.

But that’s just my opinion, what do you Gus think?

TL; DR-Shoulda been Rasengan versus Chidori Water tower damage 2.0 but with the Rasenshuriken.

I mean, it straight up doesn't make sense for Sasuke not to be ahead considering he has the Sharingan, people seem to forget it lets you copy techniques so learning things from Orochimaru came easy to Sasuke, not to mention Uchiha have a natural affinity to Fire that they train for as soon as they can mold chakra, then of course he has his lightning.

That and Orochimaru enhanced his body as well so he'd be a more powerful vessel.

Meanwhile Naruto has borked chakra because of the Kyuubi and can't do too much lest he risk letting him loose.

It would be incredibly dumb if Sasuke went through all that only to be a little bit more powerful really.

I reread the OG Naruto after a decade and realized that shippuden is an unworthy successor

Posted by wsakuya · in r/Naruto · 1 month ago

Back in the day of weekly releases, I joined just a little after the infamous time skip and therefore decided (after that terrible ending) to reread the manga from scratch—no studio pierrot questionable changes, no boring fillers, just the sober truth, and here are my thoughts:

  • the OG naruto saga beats the post-time skip story by miles
  • the character development is consistent with almost every single character! Everyone gets their time to shine! (Except for tenten lol, even shino gets his moment)
  • the fights are phenomenal, and some of them use just plain old shurikens and kunais
  • despite people telling you otherwise, sakura was a fine-written character. She had her moments, she grew, she changed, and all she wanted was for her team to return to the good old days (which there should have been more of btw, team 7 should have gone on at least one more mission before the chunin exams)
  • characters I despised in the sequel I enjoyed in the og—Hinata is such an interesting character in the beginning you can’t help but root for her, she had a personality, she was more than just ‘n-n-naruto-kun,’ she had a whole story arc dedicated to her that was dumbed on in shippuden
  • i finally remember why gaara was my favorite character back in the beginning! my god, i love him so much
  • Naruto wasn’t just a goody two-shoes, he had his flaws, he felt hate for the village and how they treated him, and dear god, he was so fucking annoying most times but I love it. He had so much personality back in the day. He knew what it means to hate, what it means to love (don’t let that fucking last movie tell you otherwise), and he was just so full of everything. Honestly, he lost so much of himself during shippuden
  • the canon ships (that I love to shit on nowadays) had actual development until the time skip. you could practically see Sasuke drawing closer toward naruto and Sakura, and naruto having clearly a soft spot for hinata. It was so nice to actually watch them share moments together not to feed into shipping fodder, but actually times that developed each relationship and made them feel real
  • while shikamaru and temari shared almost no screen time during shippuden, it was so nice to watch them become comrades, even going as far as drawing the parallel between shikaku telling shikamaru about his mothers rare smile, and temari smiling at him exactly the same way!
  • man I didn’t even realize how early in obito was mentioned by kakashi, and what great foreshadowing that was
  • I cried when tsunade showed up, and her whole trauma with blood, and that she almost would have helped orochimaru just because she wanted to see her deceased loved ones again bc it’s so relatable! Now that I’m older, I totally understand her hesitation, and her strong wish after losing someone myself, and to just want to hear their voice again. Shit, it just hurts man
  • that moment when Naruto crawled toward gaara, shit… that still makes me cry like a child because THE EMOTIONS
  • I understand the decision to let Sasuke away, but I just wished kishi wouldn’t have taken the whole time skip to reunite them, because you can’t expect me to buy a ship like sasusaku when they had absolutely no moments together
  • anko deserved better

My bad, I’m just so lost in my thoughts I had to share them. Excuse my rant.

While you have a point in less characters getting their chance to shine, and the story falls off after the pain arc, I struggle to see how anyone could hold the view that the Sasuke vs Itachi arcs and the pain arc aren't the best two

I think both arcs are great and at the end shit the bed a bit.

Susano'o was just so friggin out of nowhere and conceptually busted for Itachi. Everything to this point was really cool, Sasuke does a super long preparation jutsu with energy levels a human can't generate himself and then it's like "Nvm, I have Susano'o".

I felt like Naruto's growth speed in the Pain arc was kinda unbelievable. Like he went from low jonin level to even to or stronger than Jiraya in the matter of months. To boot I hate the rezz at the end, there was so much potential for story development and it just got reversed.

I think they're both great arcs, but honestly I still think Genin exams and Sasuke retrieval arc are cooler.

Naruto is low Kage before sage mode so the jump isn't actually too insane. I think the rez is actually completely necessary. Naruto has been given a task and made a promise to Jiraiya and Nagato that he will solve the cycle of hatred. To right the wrongs within people is very hard, and we need an indication that he can right terrific wrongs in a tangible way to go with the promise. The revivings are our tangible indicator that great wrongs will be righted ok Naruto's journey.

The twin issues with those arcs is the Deus ex machina at the end of the Pain arc and the fact that if you don't care for Sasuke you very likely won't care for Itachi either, it's not really a writing criticism but that's how both arcs can be disliked for a valid reason.

Shippuden Sasuke is a very acquired taste and Itachi's characterization as a whole can give you whiplash. It's very common to not care about either character through Shippuden leaving that arc feeling fairly whelming overall.

Pain arc imo is the second best arc in the whole IP, just barely behind the pure fun of the Chunin exams. I personally dislike the Deus ex machina at the end and think that if Kakashi and a few others stayed dead at the end it would've been the perfect arc and soar into #1 shonen arc of all time tbh. The lack of consequence is just a little sad. The leaf itself is shattered but I'm not sure many people had an attachment to the village itself, but the characters within it. Finally I think it would have given team Gai more meat to show him peak at Six Gates and lose to Pain, spurring him on to train to even greater heights and unlock Seven for Kisame and Eight for Madara. This would also clear up the weirdness of us never knowing when Gai unlocked various Gates which makes some OG Shippuden scaling bizarre.

It's almost the perfect arc, and I think that ,'almost' is what aggravates some people. It's SO CLOSE to perfect.

I used to feel the same way, especially since I'd love to see a rogue naruto arc afterwards but now I think the deus ex machina works because it reinforces the themes.

If Naruto went into that cave and just annihilated Nagato & Konan it wouldn't have solved anything and everyone would still be dead. After everything Nagato has done, Naruto shows kindness and an attempt to understand his enemy in the face of hatred thus breaking the cycle and for this he's greatly rewarded.

In all honesty I don’t even think the Sasuke vs Itachi arc is top 5.

Land of Waves, Chuunin exams/Konoha Crush, Sasuke retrieval arc, Pain arc, and arguably even 5 Kage summit.

That’s not even including the Anime arcs like Kakashi Gaiden, the three tails arc with Guren, the Sword of the Thunder God, etc.

Most of the arc with Taka is kinda boring outside of the actual fight with Itachi and to me that’s just not enough.

Question: How much time did the naruto and sasuke’s final fight at the valley go?

Posted by ivanray8 · in r/Naruto · 4 years ago

When the fight started, It was bright morning. Probably around 9 am- 2 pm. But then when they got tired, it was already sunset. I can’t say it’s sunrise because the fight was still at bright morning so It had to be sunset. That being 4 pm- 5 pm. Now, The old kages returned to the dead at early morning so probably around 4 am. Then naruto and sasuke probably travelled to konoha to the Valley of the End for a few hours straight. After the fight, Naruto talked some sense to sasuke around night, which was around 6-8 pm. Then sakura and kakashi arrived at a time that’s already bright so it’s maybe 8-10 am, and they undid the infinite tsukoyomi at probably a few hours later (doubt having open wounds from literal arms being gone would be fast to heal) so I guess around 12 or so pm.

So like, did the entire fight actually lasted around morning to night? Did naruto just fought sasuke for the entirety of his birthday(considering obito must have told naruto about his birthday at 12 am in the war) with a sleepover on the ground afterwards?

Is it even possible to fight for 10+ straight hours? I mean, they were out of chakra at the time and were beating up each other as much as they can at that point.

Hashirama and Madara fought over 24hrs. It was THE fight that became a legendary, the one that reformed the landscapes and created the mountains and lakes.

Naruto and Sasuke aren't cut out as landscapers. If it was that epic, Naruto would have been a living legend. Also, not only did they not do much work on landscaping, the 2 monuments were still standing...

Excluding Kaguya, the mother of chakra, her sons and grandsons, I still believe Hashirama is the strongest and GOAT. If we cut out the drama and stuff eg. Kaguya being shocked by 'harem no jutsu' and times she got suckered out of love for her children. If all those were out of the way, Hashirama would win everyone hands down. Hashirama took Madara down the moment he literally decided to. He was stalling the whole time trying to bring Madara back to his side - like he always did. I think Madara consciously or unconsciously hated it (you see it in real life too. Everyone hates losing and sometimes to a point where logic, reason or moral loses it's meaning.) - He could have taken him down right at the start. I wouldn't say Naruto could have done the same with Sasuke. Like most great protagonists, Naruto was emotionally driven to bring Sasuke back. As a senior/elder, Hashirama wouldn't need to give respect or bother with Sasuke losing face/dignity, he'll just spank his ass and carry him back like a pup whether he liked it or not.

I don't know if Sasuke wins or loses this match, but you should know that in these types of matchups, there is a thing introduced called "verse equalisation" which basically makes chakra= magic (or something like that I think)

Nastu has more destructive power, sure. But I’m going to play the devil’s advocate and say Sasuke for two reasons.

1- Amaterasu. That fire consumes anything. And we don’t know if Natsu could eat that fire. He has some amazing feats regarding eating specific kinds of flames or generating them, but the deal with Amaterasu is that it is as hit as the sun, never stops burning and can consume/extinguish any other flame Which means that except for the flames of emotion in his fight with Zeref, Amaterasu is stronger than all the other kinds of flames in Fairy Tail. We don’t know what would that do to Natsu. It’s a 50-50 chance it could work on him. But supposing it doesn’t…

2- Genjutsu. Natsu simply has no weapon to fight off a well placed genjutsu. Especially if it’s one with the mangekyo, or worse, the Rinnegan. It’s game over for Nastu if he enters a genjustu like that. And now that he has his Rinnegan, it’s safe to assume Sasuke also has access to other elements like water and earth. Not just fire and lightning which Nastu can eat. With his versatility and his reflexes he could definitely keep up for a while until he places Nastu in a genjustu. That aside, Nastu has all the advantage except for fighting experiencie and intelligence, but without those two, Natsu’s stats are too much.

Hungry_Table_3458 · 1 month ago

Genjutsu only works if the target has chakra, Natsu doesn’t have chakra and OP didn’t specify verse equalisation.Natsu wins, and I’m pretty sure he can eat any flame, so he’s eating Amaterasu.Natsu also burned time with his flames, so I’d don’t think Sasuke stands a chance.

I just researched this topic as i was very interested in answering who wins.

I didn’t find anywhere that statement that genjutsu only works on beings with chakra.

Also, i strongly believe natsu would win, here are my arguments:

Natsu can absorb any type of fire and lightning. He has beaten beings the size of the susanoo with ease. He has battled foes who posses magic that’s similar to the rinnegan’s capabilities. He has feats that showcase better stats.

On the other hand, sasuke has shown feats that natsu can surpass. To me the only shot sasuke has is genjutsu. Since i couldn’t verify the fact that genjutsu only works on chakra users, i’ll assume it can work on natsu, but natsu’s hightened senses (because they are dragonlike) would give him an innate defense, although not outright immunity.

My conclusion is natsu would win most of the times. Sasuke could win some scenarios thanks to his genjutsu but i believe overall natsu would win this matchup.

I wanna add that i am biased as i prefer fairy tail but i did research all this data today and i try to be as objective as possible.

TL;DR: Natsu wins even against genjutsu

Amaterasu won't work for 2 reasons reason number 1 Sasuke needs to burn the book of E.N.D second didn't Natsu already eat black flames from a God Slayer

And plus isnt Natsu's flames abel to burn time

Natsu has eaten black flames before. There aren’t any definitive traits that don’t make them comparable except the line of Amaterasu flames never going out (which I feel like has not been demonstrated to a certain I think) which doesn’t say anything about Natsu being unable to eat them.

I've seen Naruto twice and seen Fairy Tail 4 times the feats for both guys natsu's losing Sasuke can use "planetary devastation" by boy is not surviving being crushed be a mass of stone the size of the moon that make him the centre of gravity if the move, im sorry I love natsu way more but he takes a loss

I don't know if Sasuke wins or loses this match, but you should know that in these types of matchups, there is a thing introduced called "verse equalisation" which basically makes chakra= magic (or something like that I think)

Watching everyone just ignore the fact that she can outlast sage mode and her chakra reserves can be comparable if not more immense than Naruto with 100 healings.

I'm not even a Sakura fan but she'll definitely give Naruto a run for him money. We all know adult Naruto is still a shadow clone and rasengan merchant

after 2 years and 6 months, I finally finished Naruto.

Posted by Excellent-Access-228 · in r/Naruto · 1 month ago
post image

that took waaaaaay longer than it should have. but I'm finally done! (haven't seen the Boruto movie yet, but I did see The Last and really enjoyed it!).

this is something that I've always wanted to do but never dared to try ever since I first saw it many many years ago (I think around 14-15 years ago?). I always found it interesting but questioned whether I can really commit myself to it. both the anime and manga are pretty long after all. I have (both fortunately and unfortunately) experienced a lot of the story in unorthodox ways prior to finally committing to watch the anime. whether it be through the games (Storm 3 is still the GOAT in terms of story and presentation) or through some accidental spoilers through google searches (that Tobi one still kinda stings). but nonetheless, I still thoroughly enjoyed it! there's also some nice poetry to me finishing Naruto when me and him are at the same age (he is 20 at the end of the story, right?).

minor spoiler warning(s) ahead, tread carefully.

So, about the story, I think it's overall pretty well done even despite some shortcomings. but I'm not an expert on this sort of stuff so I will leave it at that. I will say though that I really loved the world, the lore and the characters. the animation, when it was good, was fantastic. I really like the simplistic artstyle mixed with the fluid sense of movement that Pierrot employed in a lot of fights. particular standouts are:
Rock Lee vs Gaara (obviously).

Kimmimaro vs Rock Lee (pretty underrated).

Sakura and Chiyo vs Sasori (THAT moment, you know the one).

Team 10 vs Hidan and Kakuzu (episode 85 I believe, Hidan's reaction? that is a classic).
Sasuke vs Killer Bee (could have been even better in my opinion but what we got was still great).
Naruto vs Pain (another obvious one).
Madara vs Shinobi Alliance (episode 322 is one of the most well directed episodes in all of Naruto in my opinion. right up there with stuff like 82, Power Arc and 476-478).
Kakashi vs Obito (many people's favourite fight for a very good reason).
and well, Both of the Valley of the End fights.

I think Naruto's biggest strength is the emotional beats. right from the very beginning in the Land of The Waves Arc to its very end, the Final Battle, Naruto really is quite good at pulling your heart strings whenever it needs to in almost magical ways. Naruto meeting Kushina has got to be one of my most favorite moments in anything ever. and of course we always have to mention Jiraiya, Itachi and my men, Kakashi and Might(o) Guy.

I have wrote a lot so it's time to wrap things up. while it does have a lot of pacing issues, and while the story does have its shortcomings (lots of wasted potential too, too many characters left basically untouched), Naruto is still enjoyable, even in 2025. the animation may not be up to be many people's very high standards these days but when it gets good it can really surprise you.

if you have come this far, thanks for reading!

btw both the sub and dub are pretty good. not really as much of an unpopular opinion these days as the general quality of VA across the board has improved significantly, but for an anime from the 2000s, I thought it was worth mentioning.

time for some Bleach, because, my time is absolutely worthless :)

nothing to say about the ending? (genuinely curious)

1 upvotes on reddit
Excellent-Access-228 · OP · 1 month ago

which one?

if you mean the main plot ending (as in, after the final battle) it was good. although I would say it could have been a tiny bit longer, showing us the fruits of Naruto's victory and how the world has changed because of it.

if you mean the actual story conclusion, I liked it. although I haven't read chapter 700 yet, I shared with my post the image of Naruto looking at Minato, which almost put me in tears. I would say though, just like what I said about the first "ending", it could have been a bit longer. I thought it be cool to maybe see people's spirits metaphorically raising Naruto and Hinata to the podium (kinda like how Naruto formed his final Rasengan against Sasuke in the final battle).

There is just nothing like Naruto. They have other manga/anime that have been captivating, but nothing quite hits like our boy here. ❤️

True, because the anime is very long, and the plot is well done, and the story shows Naruto from a little boy to an adult. So the plot kinda grows on you. Very few other animes are that long, so even if they have good plot they won't feel like Naruto.

Naruto is 19 at the end of the series, also read chapter 700 of the manga if you want to see the actual conclusion of the story. That chapter was never fully adapted into the anime unfortunately

Time skip ≠ Time skip fight

Posted by Bruhbruhok8 · in r/Boruto · 4 years ago

I have seen many people waiting for the timeskip to see what happens b/w Boruto and Kawaki fight (Scene 1)

Time skip doesn't mean we are going to see the fight. We don't even know the exact period the time-skip will start. Probably way before the fight happens.

The current period of Boruto focuses a lot on Karma aspect of Boruto & Kawaki and they didn't have much time for other character developments.

We already got a clue that Kakashi is going to play an important role in the future implying there is a lot to do in the series before the fight even starts.

Not only Kakashi we might see lots of developments from Konoha characters like Moegi, Konohamaru, Mitsuki & Sarada. Cuz these are new-gen charcters that requires significant power boosts before the finale fight usually happens.

I actually agree with ur point that a lot of fans are misinterpreting that the timeskip automatically equals that fight which is pretty weird since there is a lot needed to be set up for that and Kawaki isn't even close doing somethin to Naruto rn.

Yeah, tobirama and Hashirama would pack his ass up by themselves. Those first 3 kage generations were pretty powerful due to constant war. Minato and yagura are pretty powerful. Early EMS Sasuke is screwed by adult Naruto. So, he is generally stomped.

1 upvotes on reddit
Primary-Dust-3091 · 3 months ago

I'm pretty sure that generation of kages he fought is the weakest, so he probably gets killed before obito comes.

Idk about the weakest ngl, only the Hokage was the weakest

1 upvotes on reddit
mipenealdescubierto · 3 months ago

He gets packed in every single one of them, probably even worse because of the hokages: Hashirama, Tobirama, Prime Hiruzen.

The generation of gokages on the thumbnail is like the fifth but better (Mu being a better Ohnoki, 3rd kazekage having a stronger sand than Gaara, the 3rd Raikage >= 4th raikage and Gengetsu and Tobirama compared to Mei and Danzo speaks for itself)

I agree with all but Gaara.  Sure the 3rd had "better sand" but Gaara still won the fight.

Being that Sasuke gets packed up much quicker he’s definitely gonna need to implant Itachis eyes and awaken EMS.

He fought one of the weakest generations, the Hokage was missing and he had to be bailed out by Obito.

If the 5 kage are all present, most generations beat his ass. And if Obito tries to save him he will get his ass beaten aswell.

Hell, for most of those generations this version of Sasuke couldn't even beat the Hokage 1 vs. 1.

Naruto vs Sasuke after timeskip

Key Considerations in Naruto vs. Sasuke After the Timeskip:

  1. Character Development:

    • Naruto: After the timeskip, Naruto matures significantly, gaining mastery over his abilities, including the use of Sage Mode and enhanced control over the Nine-Tails' chakra.
    • Sasuke: Sasuke undergoes intense training with Orochimaru, acquiring the Sharingan and later the Rinnegan, which greatly enhances his combat abilities.
  2. Abilities and Techniques:

    • Naruto: Utilizes powerful techniques like Rasenshuriken and has access to massive chakra reserves due to his connection with Kurama (the Nine-Tails).
    • Sasuke: Gains access to advanced Sharingan techniques, including Amaterasu and Susanoo, which provide him with formidable offensive and defensive capabilities.
  3. Fighting Style:

    • Naruto: Relies on his unpredictable fighting style, shadow clones, and strategic use of his environment.
    • Sasuke: Employs a more tactical approach, using his Sharingan for prediction and countering, along with powerful jutsu.
  4. Emotional Stakes:

    • Their rivalry is deeply rooted in their past, with Naruto wanting to bring Sasuke back to the village and Sasuke seeking power and revenge. This emotional backdrop adds intensity to their confrontations.
  5. Outcome of Their Battles:

    • Their final confrontation in the series showcases both characters at their peak. While they are evenly matched, the battle ultimately ends in a draw, symbolizing their growth and the complexity of their relationship.

Takeaway: The rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke after the timeskip represents not just a physical battle but also a clash of ideologies and personal growth. Their abilities have evolved significantly, making any confrontation between them a showcase of their respective journeys and the culmination of their character arcs.
