TL;DR Prioritize school social links during weekdays, use Sundays and holidays for non-school links, and always carry a matching persona to maximize points. Aim to max the Star social link for powerful personas.
Prioritizing School Social Links
School-based social links should be your primary focus as they are only available on school days [1:1]
[2:1]. These links often have time constraints due to exams and holidays, so make sure to prioritize them over others
[5:2]. Using Sundays for extra points can help bridge gaps when these links won't rank up immediately
[1:1].
Using Sundays and Holidays Effectively
Sundays and holidays are crucial for advancing non-school social links. You can use these days for hangouts or shrine visits to gain additional points [1:3]
[2:1]. Some social links, like Hermit, are available during vacation days, which allows you to focus more on other links during regular school days
[2:4]
[2:9].
Matching Personas and Social Stats
Bringing a matching persona when interacting with social links is essential for maximizing point gains [1:2]. Additionally, focusing on increasing your social stats at night will give you more opportunities to work on day-time social links
[5:2]. Maxing social stats early can provide more flexibility in managing your social link schedule.
Strategic Social Link Choices
Some social links offer significant rewards upon completion. The Star social link is particularly important because it grants access to Helel, whose Morning Star skill is the highest damaging multi-target almighty spell in the game [5:1]. Completing all social links in one run unlocks a special persona, making it worthwhile to aim for maxing every link
[5:1].
Guides and Optimization
While older guides may not perfectly fit the Reload version due to changes in schedules and new content, they can still provide useful information about social link characters and stat requirements [3:1]
[3:4]. Waiting for updated guides specifically tailored for Reload might be beneficial if you're aiming for optimal playthroughs
[3:3].
So I read from a guide that if I want to max all social links I should avoid those who won't level up because later in the game you can boost points with a secret URL.
Now that url is only obtainable mid november, and literally all social link end up taking 2 days to level at some point, is there another way im not aware to level them besides bringing a matching personas ?
If you have nothing else to do you can go to the shrine or like another comment said you can find people sometimes with Koromaru. Sometimes it might just be easier to hang out with them once, usually that's all you need.
Honestly if it's your first playthrough don't expect to finish every SL without a guide.
Its my first and im not really following a guide, but I was told its not that hard if you focus school links on school days and also focus the ones that appear less often, and always bring a matching persona. I also maxed my social stats quickly at arcade. I plan on avoiding all link episode except ken because im only going for 100% achievements. Is that doable ? Thanks
I don't know for sure but I tried doing the same as you, no guide, prioritize school peeps during school etc but I ended up missing 2 and I skipped all the linked episodes. I think there might be a calculator out there if you search the reddit to see if completing them all is possible
Don't avoid those episodes, at least do Junpei's.
If you finish the game without 100% achievements I believe you can still get the rest on NG+.
>literally all social link end up taking 2 days to level at some point
Fwiw this is only true for about 1/3 of the social links.
Sunday hangouts are your best bet. You have way more Sundays than you need for the two Sunday social links, so if you have a school link that you know won't grow on the next day then accepting a Sunday hangout with them can bridge that gap.
School based social links are the only ones where there's a time crunch. The rest you can afford to be a little lax about.
Thanks thats good info! If I dont have the option to hangout I can use some sundays at the shrine for those who wont level up right ?
There’s a chance you’ll meet them when you walk koromaru and it’ll give 2-3 points
Going for the final achievement of maxing all social links, which should I prioritize more over the others.
Currently at 6/5 with these links (moon 4)
I would broadly prioritise like this: guarrantied rank up>school SLs>other daytime SLs>Bunkichi and Mitsuko
I usually do those, that are available on the fewest days, generally. Since school SLs get blocked many times in the story, they aren't available as often as normal SLs. Later when unlocking Empress, she's also a low priority because she's available a lot. Maybe you also should avoid maxing them for some time, so someone is always available in an emergency but I'm not sure, if that's nessasary
Are any social links guaranteed to rank up no matter what you say? I remember the Sun social link never forcing me to run through it an extra time.
Yeah from what I know, sun progresses always. Every other not story based SL needs some points for the next rank
Oh btw, Hermit is available during vacation days right? So I should prioritize Sun a bit more?
Yes! Hermit is usually available on school off days, except summer break
Thanks I’ll keep that in mind
I recommend maxing out the Fool Arcana
Get school only ones first and ones that have other locked behind them(chariot, magician, emperor, strength, hanged) on Sundays do hermit or sun
Thanks for the tips
Do the ones you care about
ALWAYS focus on school Social Links. If you can't rank up with someone, choose someone else from school to rank up. You can use your Sundays and days off at this point to gain extra points from Sunday dates and hangouts, or just going to the shrine.
You will have plenty of time to max out non-school links, including Hermit and Sun, so don't be afraid to use Sundays for extra school link points.
I played P3 and missed a couple social links so I want to make sure I don't miss any once I play the remake.
Is there one that people recommend?
The S.Link schedule has been changed in Reload. Old guides will not work.
Ah could I rely on them to just know the people? I won't mind spoilers on just who they are so I can look out for them
Probably, sure.
Just note that anyone exclusive to FeMC's route in P3P will not be present in Reload.
Because of the bonus scenes old guides won't be good anymore. If you want to do stuff optimally wait for a week or two so people can put up new guides.
It probably won’t take long for one to drop once the game is out
I'd assume guides will still be helpful for SL answers and optimising stat increases to access some SLs(unless the parameters needed have changed).
There hasn't been any mention of new stat-increasing activities, so they're still your best bet to use until more accurate guides specifically for Reload are made. You'd have to account for the new 'episodes' in the Reload that seem to only take place during the night at the moment if you're even interested in them. We'll also have time to actually work on our school SLs during summer break unlike og/fes/p3p, so that should help with the process becoming streamlined.
I am currently on 10/21 and wondering if I am still on track to max out all of my social links, my social stats are 6/6/6 also.
My social links at this point are: SEES - 5 Classmate - MAX Student Council - 8 Old Couple - 4 Yukari - 3 Track Team - 9 Treasurer - 2 Online Game - 9 Team Manager - MAX Girl at the Shrine - 3 Mysterious Boy - 8 Transfer Student - 3 Businessman - 8 Rival Athlete - 3 Dying Young Man - 1 I have a few I am still missing
I would love some advice/tips for helping my social links
By my count, you have 25 schoolmate ranks needed from what you listed. Add in Fuuka who I don't see plus Mitsuru and Aigis who you can't start yet and that's 55. I think that's it for schoolmates. 55 with what you have left sounds doable, but cutting it very close. Granted, it's basically always close because of the way they set it up.
Add in the others and it becomes a little more iffy. You only have 15 Sundays left and 10 Sunday ranks. I guess "Maya" can be done on another school holiday as well. I also can't remember if any if these Sundays have events that force you to miss a day.
I don't know the exact number of days left from where you are. I only memorized January and a general idea of the after Mitsuru is available late November through December.
Sorry I can't provide and exact answer either way, but the very rough numbers at least make it seem possible to me.
I had P3R for like three months but I just started playing after finishing P5R.
Is there any urgency to do a specific social link other than the rank 10 persona because in p5 obviously you want insta kill from ryuji and chihaya, so is it like a choose which ever interests you?
Mostly availability. Prioritise school SLs because none of them are available during holidays/exam week except Empress during exam week.
There’s only 2 night SLs so prioritise increasing social stats at night to have more time for day SLs.
Some SLs are locked behind ranks in other SLs (for example you need to progress the Hanged Man to unlock Sun)
Social Links don't have special abilities in this game like they do in P5, but the ultimate personas are insane. One SL I would highly prioritize is the Star SL, the ultimate persona Helel has the skill Morning Star, the highest damaging multi-target almighty spell in the game. And it can be inherited via fusion, making it a must for god persona building.
There's also a special persona you unlock for maxing every social link in a single run.
Also gives you the strongest fusion spell / theurgy in the game when you have both Satan and Helel
Finish Yuko
I cant bond with her, so do i just do it either way?
Ok uh...
I'd say finish Bebe, then Start Fuuka, because unless you have max Courage, yiur not getting far with her
Dying young man? I just started Reload, what does that mean 🙏😭
These best social link in game, no joke.
You're probably fine? You need a minimum of 75 free days to finish off all social links. Just make sure you do something productive everyday.
You have about 81-85 free days going forward. I counted out the silly holidays the game constantly gives you.
Focus on the school-only social links. Do the others during holidays
Its locked
Finish off the Sun since there well be some extra days off to finish Hermit. I'll have to find a guide the next play through since I'm going to be short on three social links.
Do you guys think they will add social link skills other than just arcana EXP boosts in P3R? I really liked what they did in P5 with the confidant skills and I was wondering if they would add something akin to that in Reload.
I felt like it added incentive to hang out with confidants you normally wouldn't. For example, Yoshida didn't really stick out to me all that much, but I saw his skills and wanted them, so, I did his confidant and behold! He became one of my favorites in the series.
What do you think? Did you like the added skills in P5?
no
and i hope they dont
p5 confidant skills made the game far too easy.
if they do anything it would probably be the p4 route where its combat benafits for party members only
Game will be far too easy regardless IMO. Let's just add it for cool factors.
i hope they do but am fine if they dont
No.
I want to max out all the social links and my stats, but im scared I won’t have enough time. I’m playing royal. Will I need to follow a guide, or is there enough time to get max stats and every social links blind? I feel like a guide will spoil or just take away from the experience. I just played P3R and I missed a few links because I had no time.
P5R is much easier to max out than P3, mainly because the confidants are not mostly locked to daytime only and the calendar randomly skipping a week.
Take advantage of activities that give you bonus social stats because because there are some you will need to max.
Max out Temperance and Star arcana as fast as you can because they will help you save time
It is very difficult to max all your links on a first playthrough without a guide.
This is why New Game + exists, since your social stats carry over and thus you can more easily do social stuff since you don't need to devote any time to social stat upgrades.
It's difficult even with a guide! NG+ is for sure the way to go. As long as you max out Becky in this playthrough you'll have plenty of time in NG+
There's a lot of time but a lot of things to do, so it's easy if you follow some basic guidelines but hard to do completely blind.
To avoid a detailed guide, you just need to prioritize:
You just need to find time to do darts and billiards to level up technicals and baton pass, and hang out with the Twins if you count that in addition to their social link (not all their hangouts can be done at night as some of the places they want to go are only open during daytime).
Just use a guide. I found a spoiler free one by just searching online. It just gives you a set schedule to follow each day without telling you any spoilers.
Buy this item after school, spend time with Ann, feed the plant, etc.
Helped me 100% all stats and confidants in one playthrough
Always have a matching persona with you and brute force Fortune (Chihaya, you unlock her around arc 3) as fast as possible since you can pay yen to see what a confidant's best answers are or spend yen instead of hanging out with them. Since you played P3R, you should know how good it is to save a time slot in exchange for yen. And on top she also gives more social stats. She's just overall OP for a full confidant playthrough.
Also, Yoshida, Akechi, Yoshizawa and Maruki are all time sensitive so also prioritize them.
I'm kind of shocked that Reload just came out and there's multiple 100% guides out there to choose from. Do you guys have any thoughts on which is currently the "best" to go with? I'm not sure how hard it is to do in this version, hoping to find one with a tiny bit of wiggle room to give extra time for mistakes / extra tartarus days.
I think it’s gonna be super ez, this game gives you so much free time, as long as you have a matching persona and answer well on social links you will get it
I’ve been using this one from powerpyx https://www.powerpyx.com/persona-3-reload-100-walkthrough/ So far it’s been doing me good. I’m still only as far as the High Priestess boss.
I'm at 9/10, but I still haven't really managed to start the second batch of the school links due to linked episodes popping out constantly or the game skipping days for no apparent reason. Could someone tell me me which people should I prioritize? My links look like this: Magician, Hierophant, Chariot, Hermit, Strength, Hanged, Devil, Tower are at max. Priestess: 3, Emperor: 9, Lovers: 1, Justice: 3, Fortune: 1, Temperance: 1, star: 2, moon: 3, sun 3. All my stats except for academics are maxed. I might be worrying for nothing, but in p4g also thought that, and barely made it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A few general tips for efficiency:
On Sundays always do the Sun SL (or Star if Sun is maxed)
On school days, always prioritize the remaining school social links (Priestess, Emperor, Lovers, Justivce, Fortune, Temperance, Empress, Aeon)
In November a new shady URL unlocks that allows you to get extra social link points (no rank up) on the computer in the evening.
In December there are 6 days where Empress is the only school social link available. It's recommended to save 6 ranks of Empress for this period.
Save Star and Moon for the end of December/early January. At the end of December and early January there are several days of no school, which allows you to focus on them.
Thanks, I will keep them in mind. Glad there is a way to add relationship points in the evening, since the shrine in this game is completely useless.
Don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work out. I went in blind but knew how the game works/worked. I didn't waste a single day without doing a social link upgrade and always went for the maximum affection points too and still I fell short by like 7 social link upgrades.
If you really want to max out everything its prolly best to follow a guide. I apparently screwed up even though I didn't waste any time.
When comparing P3 to P4 and P5, it’s insanely apparent the devs never expected the players to go for all SLs in one playthrough - hell, in vanilla P3, Orpheus Telos, the reward you unlock for maxing out all SLs, wasn’t even a thing. It was only added in FES.
So no shame if you can’t max them all out in one playthrough. It’s a common sentiment that, even when using a guide, it’s still really hard to max everyone out.
Definitely focus more on school links. There are times where you’re off from school and can’t level up your classmates. So maybe maxing hierophant and hanged wasn’t the best call but you’re still making good progress. Leave Star and moon on the backburner as they’re available when you’re off from school. Use Sunday for sun obviously.
In November, a method to gain points for your SL will unlock in the club. Use this to avoid wasting a day where you don’t level up since you completed night links already. Use persona that matches for max points and try to avoid hanging out if you’re not going to level up, if you can help it.
Thanks. Glad I'm still on track then. I've maxed Hierophant hanged and hermit on days without school links. The reason why I'm lagging behind, is because the game takes mornings from you for no reason. Every time korormaru is on screen it automatically for some reason wastes a day. You need to pet Koro in a cutscene? A day passes, He needs to go on walk? a day passes. Linked episode? of course they're all during the day. I've counted six days wasted for now due to the goddamn dog. Why aren't the linked episodes during weekends? It's such an infuriating design.
You don't have to do episodes right away (well except for Ryoji). Koromaru's episodes have no deadline at all, so you can leave them for later like out of school SLs.

Persona 3: Reload best social link strategies
Key Considerations for Social Link Strategies in Persona 3: Reload
Prioritize Key Characters: Focus on building relationships with characters that provide significant benefits, such as:
Time Management: Balance your time between social links, academics, and dungeon exploration. Use the calendar effectively to maximize your social link opportunities.
Choose the Right Dialogue Options: Pay attention to the dialogue choices you make during social link events. Selecting options that resonate with the character's personality will increase your bond more effectively.
Utilize the Right Persona: Carry a Persona that matches the social link's Arcana to gain bonus points when interacting with that character. For example, if you're working on the Lovers Arcana, have a Persona of that type in your inventory.
Participate in Events: Attend seasonal events and activities (like school festivals) to boost social link progress. These events often provide unique opportunities to deepen relationships.
Maximize Free Days: Use days off or weekends to hang out with social link characters. Prioritize those who are close to leveling up to maximize your time.
Recommendation: Focus on building relationships with characters that unlock powerful abilities or items, like Elizabeth and your main party members. Additionally, consider using guides or community resources to track which characters you can meet on specific days, ensuring you don’t miss opportunities. Balancing your time wisely will help you achieve the best outcomes in your social links.
