Prioritize School Social Links
One of the key strategies for maximizing social links is to prioritize school-based social links. These are more time-sensitive due to their availability only on school days, and they can be blocked by story events [2:1],
[4:1]. Using Sundays and days off to gain extra points through hangouts or visits to the shrine can help bridge gaps when a link won't rank up immediately
[1:1],
[4:1].
Matching Personas and Correct Choices
Having a Persona that matches the arcana of the social link you are trying to rank up can significantly reduce the number of interactions needed to level up the link [2:1]. Additionally, choosing the correct dialogue options during interactions will maximize the points gained, making it easier to progress without needing additional meetings
[2:1].
Utilize Guides and Save Slots
Following a guide can be very helpful in ensuring that you don't miss any opportunities to advance social links [2:2]. Keeping multiple save slots allows you to backtrack if you make a mistake or find yourself unable to progress a particular link
[2:3]. This strategy is particularly useful if you're aiming for a 100% completion run.
New Game Plus (NG+) Considerations
In NG+, with maxed-out social stats, you have more flexibility in your schedule. However, it's still recommended to follow a guide closely to ensure all social links are maximized [5:1]. You can afford to be slightly more relaxed, but maintaining a backup save file is wise in case you need to revisit decisions
[5:2].
Specific Social Links
Certain social links, like the Sun Arcana, will always rank up when you spend time with them, so they require less strategic planning compared to others [2:1],
[4:3]. The Hermit link is available during vacation days, making it a good candidate for prioritization during those times
[4:4],
[4:9].
By focusing on these strategies, players can efficiently manage their time and maximize social links in Persona 3: Reload, ensuring a comprehensive experience of the game's social aspects.
So I read from a guide that if I want to max all social links I should avoid those who won't level up because later in the game you can boost points with a secret URL.
Now that url is only obtainable mid november, and literally all social link end up taking 2 days to level at some point, is there another way im not aware to level them besides bringing a matching personas ?
If you have nothing else to do you can go to the shrine or like another comment said you can find people sometimes with Koromaru. Sometimes it might just be easier to hang out with them once, usually that's all you need.
Honestly if it's your first playthrough don't expect to finish every SL without a guide.
Its my first and im not really following a guide, but I was told its not that hard if you focus school links on school days and also focus the ones that appear less often, and always bring a matching persona. I also maxed my social stats quickly at arcade. I plan on avoiding all link episode except ken because im only going for 100% achievements. Is that doable ? Thanks
I don't know for sure but I tried doing the same as you, no guide, prioritize school peeps during school etc but I ended up missing 2 and I skipped all the linked episodes. I think there might be a calculator out there if you search the reddit to see if completing them all is possible
Don't avoid those episodes, at least do Junpei's.
If you finish the game without 100% achievements I believe you can still get the rest on NG+.
>literally all social link end up taking 2 days to level at some point
Fwiw this is only true for about 1/3 of the social links.
Sunday hangouts are your best bet. You have way more Sundays than you need for the two Sunday social links, so if you have a school link that you know won't grow on the next day then accepting a Sunday hangout with them can bridge that gap.
School based social links are the only ones where there's a time crunch. The rest you can afford to be a little lax about.
Thanks thats good info! If I dont have the option to hangout I can use some sundays at the shrine for those who wont level up right ?
There’s a chance you’ll meet them when you walk koromaru and it’ll give 2-3 points
So i just finished my second playtrough of the game with the goal to max out all Social links due to stupid decisions i couldn’t max out every one. Is there an optimal route you have to follow or should i save the Social Links that can be done in the school vacation days for those days? Help would be appreciated.
I don’t know about optimal route but this guide helped me best:
https://www.powerpyx.com/persona-3-reload-100-walkthrough/
I don’t think I’m capable of doing a blind 100% social link play through without it.
Is there a guide where you already have maxed out social stats? I couldn’t find any on online. But thanks for the link.
I don’t unfortunately. I have seen some sites floating around with social link information regarding days when they become available and what days there are free to hangout. Sorry I can’t provide more help. Wishing you the best of luck!
If you want to max all social links, you should definitely prioritize school social links when they are available, since the scheduling is more strict with them. Also, make sure to have a persona on you that is of the same arcana as the social link you are trying to rank up and choose the correct options during the rank, so that you don't have to spend as many days spending time with a social link without ranking them up. (You don't actually need to do that for the Sun social link, since he will always rank up when you spend time with him).
For the school links, try not to ignore too many social links for too long. If you want to focus on maxing a few social links early on or leave a few behind for a bit, so that you don't have to keep switching out personas to get the arcana bonus, that should be fine. But if you leave multiple social links behind until very late in the game, and their schedules conflict, it could be difficult to max them.
As for the social links outside of school, Maya and Akinari have very conflicting schedules, since Maya is only available on Sundays and holidays, while Akinari is only available on Sundays. You will want to get Maya to max, or at least a high rank, by the time you unlock Akinari's social link in August.
One more thing. Keep multiple save slots, just in case you mess something up. The rewind feature can also be helpful, but it only lets you go back a couple days, so keeping extra save slots a bit farther back can still be useful. Honestly, this isn't just good for max social link runs, this is just a good thing to do in general.
There's a few different guides floating around that can give you day-by-day instructions on how to spend your time if you want to take chance out of it. You definitely should try and spend your school days on in-school SLs, since you can't see any of them if you don't have school.
I beat P3FES recently, it's too hard to maxing out all social links
As it should. Anyone who played P3 knows how LITTLE days you have. Unless you follow a strict schedule it's impossible to get all links maxed out.
I'm for that change.
Not if they don't nerf Makoto's pimp energy !
Ain't no way I cheat on Mitsuru Senpai !
I just hope that there's no reversing and breaking like the original, that was a pain. Really excited for this to launch though, glad to have something to hold me over until Persona 6 is announced.
Yes but if it is too easy players might say it’s too easy
Better too easy than too hard, and that's also what difficulty options are for, as long as they don't also take notes from P5R where the hardest difficulty is actually the easiest in some sections of the game due to weird stat bonuses.
Man that shit happening way back when made me put down the game for a good while before I started over.
Nothing quite as exhilarating playing the game on your own and realising your save is borked and you can either not play that part of the game or start over.
I just got into Sept. and I finally maxed out all my social stats just last night, but I still have alot of social links to complete plus theurgy unlocks with teamates...there doesn't seem to be enough time, especially with the leveling up the damn social stats on your first playthough They take "Forever' to max out "especially" academics. It was the same for "Knowledge" in Persona 5 Royal. And then you have not one but 3 social links you can't even start "until" you max out Charm, Courage, and Academics. It's not overwhelming..it's freaking insane. There's not enough time in the day on top of forced story events, that always slow the process down to do all this in a single playthough. If I manage to max all the social links and theurgy's at this point it will be a miracle from the gods.
Going for the final achievement of maxing all social links, which should I prioritize more over the others.
Currently at 6/5 with these links (moon 4)
I would broadly prioritise like this: guarrantied rank up>school SLs>other daytime SLs>Bunkichi and Mitsuko
I usually do those, that are available on the fewest days, generally. Since school SLs get blocked many times in the story, they aren't available as often as normal SLs. Later when unlocking Empress, she's also a low priority because she's available a lot. Maybe you also should avoid maxing them for some time, so someone is always available in an emergency but I'm not sure, if that's nessasary
Are any social links guaranteed to rank up no matter what you say? I remember the Sun social link never forcing me to run through it an extra time.
Yeah from what I know, sun progresses always. Every other not story based SL needs some points for the next rank
Oh btw, Hermit is available during vacation days right? So I should prioritize Sun a bit more?
Yes! Hermit is usually available on school off days, except summer break
Thanks I’ll keep that in mind
I recommend maxing out the Fool Arcana
Get school only ones first and ones that have other locked behind them(chariot, magician, emperor, strength, hanged) on Sundays do hermit or sun
Thanks for the tips
Do the ones you care about
ALWAYS focus on school Social Links. If you can't rank up with someone, choose someone else from school to rank up. You can use your Sundays and days off at this point to gain extra points from Sunday dates and hangouts, or just going to the shrine.
You will have plenty of time to max out non-school links, including Hermit and Sun, so don't be afraid to use Sundays for extra school link points.
So I've started a new game + run and I really want to max all the social links this time round. I've been following Penguin's max social link guide, but my question is this: is it necessary that I follow it super strictly or can I afford to be a bit more relaxed?
I've maxed out all the social stats of course, and I'm fully capable of clearing a block of Tartarus whenever it's available at like level 93 or whatever. I just don't wanna reach the end of the game and realise I neglected one of them or whatever
your evenings should be slightly more relaxed if you maxed social stats, i’d still stay fairly close to penguin’s guide though because max s. link in FES is bullshit no matter what.
Ah, thank you! I've created a separate save file at the date where I stopped following it AS strictly, so if worse comes to worst I can always reload it.
Thanks again!
Oh, I should have said that this is in FES
Pretty much the title. I rememeber having to follow an extremely strict schedule and choosing all the "correct" social link dialogue options to get it back in P3P but idk if that changed in Reload. I'm still choosing all the best dialogue options and always bring a persona corresponding to the arcana, but that's about it, I'm not trying to religiously follow a schedule this time.
I know the game has been out for only like 3 days or so but it'd be greatly appreciated if anyone knows how hard it is this time. Thanks!
I think if you want enjoy stuff in p3r you shouldnt try to min max, there will be day specific !!! Stuff and characteristic stuff at night you have to do or you miss out on compounding dialogue. So thus you lose days doing that so I would say that it might be harder or straight up impossible if you want to actually get the full experience of p3r.
I'm at 9/10, but I still haven't really managed to start the second batch of the school links due to linked episodes popping out constantly or the game skipping days for no apparent reason. Could someone tell me me which people should I prioritize? My links look like this: Magician, Hierophant, Chariot, Hermit, Strength, Hanged, Devil, Tower are at max. Priestess: 3, Emperor: 9, Lovers: 1, Justice: 3, Fortune: 1, Temperance: 1, star: 2, moon: 3, sun 3. All my stats except for academics are maxed. I might be worrying for nothing, but in p4g also thought that, and barely made it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A few general tips for efficiency:
On Sundays always do the Sun SL (or Star if Sun is maxed)
On school days, always prioritize the remaining school social links (Priestess, Emperor, Lovers, Justivce, Fortune, Temperance, Empress, Aeon)
In November a new shady URL unlocks that allows you to get extra social link points (no rank up) on the computer in the evening.
In December there are 6 days where Empress is the only school social link available. It's recommended to save 6 ranks of Empress for this period.
Save Star and Moon for the end of December/early January. At the end of December and early January there are several days of no school, which allows you to focus on them.
Thanks, I will keep them in mind. Glad there is a way to add relationship points in the evening, since the shrine in this game is completely useless.
Don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work out. I went in blind but knew how the game works/worked. I didn't waste a single day without doing a social link upgrade and always went for the maximum affection points too and still I fell short by like 7 social link upgrades.
If you really want to max out everything its prolly best to follow a guide. I apparently screwed up even though I didn't waste any time.
When comparing P3 to P4 and P5, it’s insanely apparent the devs never expected the players to go for all SLs in one playthrough - hell, in vanilla P3, Orpheus Telos, the reward you unlock for maxing out all SLs, wasn’t even a thing. It was only added in FES.
So no shame if you can’t max them all out in one playthrough. It’s a common sentiment that, even when using a guide, it’s still really hard to max everyone out.
Definitely focus more on school links. There are times where you’re off from school and can’t level up your classmates. So maybe maxing hierophant and hanged wasn’t the best call but you’re still making good progress. Leave Star and moon on the backburner as they’re available when you’re off from school. Use Sunday for sun obviously.
In November, a method to gain points for your SL will unlock in the club. Use this to avoid wasting a day where you don’t level up since you completed night links already. Use persona that matches for max points and try to avoid hanging out if you’re not going to level up, if you can help it.
Thanks. Glad I'm still on track then. I've maxed Hierophant hanged and hermit on days without school links. The reason why I'm lagging behind, is because the game takes mornings from you for no reason. Every time korormaru is on screen it automatically for some reason wastes a day. You need to pet Koro in a cutscene? A day passes, He needs to go on walk? a day passes. Linked episode? of course they're all during the day. I've counted six days wasted for now due to the goddamn dog. Why aren't the linked episodes during weekends? It's such an infuriating design.
You don't have to do episodes right away (well except for Ryoji). Koromaru's episodes have no deadline at all, so you can leave them for later like out of school SLs.

I want to max out all the social links and my stats, but im scared I won’t have enough time. I’m playing royal. Will I need to follow a guide, or is there enough time to get max stats and every social links blind? I feel like a guide will spoil or just take away from the experience. I just played P3R and I missed a few links because I had no time.
P5R is much easier to max out than P3, mainly because the confidants are not mostly locked to daytime only and the calendar randomly skipping a week.
Take advantage of activities that give you bonus social stats because because there are some you will need to max.
Max out Temperance and Star arcana as fast as you can because they will help you save time
It is very difficult to max all your links on a first playthrough without a guide.
This is why New Game + exists, since your social stats carry over and thus you can more easily do social stuff since you don't need to devote any time to social stat upgrades.
It's difficult even with a guide! NG+ is for sure the way to go. As long as you max out Becky in this playthrough you'll have plenty of time in NG+
There's a lot of time but a lot of things to do, so it's easy if you follow some basic guidelines but hard to do completely blind.
To avoid a detailed guide, you just need to prioritize:
You just need to find time to do darts and billiards to level up technicals and baton pass, and hang out with the Twins if you count that in addition to their social link (not all their hangouts can be done at night as some of the places they want to go are only open during daytime).
Just use a guide. I found a spoiler free one by just searching online. It just gives you a set schedule to follow each day without telling you any spoilers.
Buy this item after school, spend time with Ann, feed the plant, etc.
Helped me 100% all stats and confidants in one playthrough
Always have a matching persona with you and brute force Fortune (Chihaya, you unlock her around arc 3) as fast as possible since you can pay yen to see what a confidant's best answers are or spend yen instead of hanging out with them. Since you played P3R, you should know how good it is to save a time slot in exchange for yen. And on top she also gives more social stats. She's just overall OP for a full confidant playthrough.
Also, Yoshida, Akechi, Yoshizawa and Maruki are all time sensitive so also prioritize them.
Should I spend time on a social link if it is stated that this time my relationships will not improve with a certain character. Should I still spend time with them or I should spend time with other character that will improve arcanas?
Also what about romance, for example I wanna date Fuuka, not Chihiro, is there gonna be a choice who Makoto will start dating or not?
Could you please explain to me social links in persona 3 reload.
It means it will not rank up because you don't have enough affinity points to trigger the rank up event. it is poorly worded.
It's worded poorly; you do have to spend time with them, it just won't rank up on that specific instance.
Romance is completely optional (in Reload specifically, not the older versions of P3) and affects almost nothing.
I finished p4g and realised I missed out on a extra dungeon because I didn't max out a social link so I was just wandering if I need to max out or level up a certain social link? I'm 15 hours in and it's currently june
For gameplay, no. For your soul, Sun.
What do you mean by my soul?
Sun is one of if not the best link in the series.
Your heart and soul.
How to maximize social links in Persona 3: Reload
Maximizing Social Links in Persona 3: Reload
Prioritize Social Link Characters: Focus on characters that have the most impactful Social Links. Key characters include your teammates and important NPCs like the Velvet Room attendants.
Time Management: Plan your in-game days effectively. Balance your time between dungeon exploration, school activities, and socializing. Use the calendar to track events and deadlines.
Choose the Right Dialogue Options: Pay attention to the dialogue choices during Social Link interactions. Selecting options that resonate with the character's personality will strengthen your bond.
Participate in Events: Engage in special events and activities related to Social Links, such as school festivals or outings. These often provide significant boosts to your relationships.
Use the Right Persona: Carry a Persona that matches the Social Link's Arcana. This can provide additional points when interacting with that character.
Spend Time Regularly: Make sure to spend time with Social Link characters consistently. Regular interactions will help you level up the links faster.
Balance Academics and Social Life: While building Social Links is crucial, don’t neglect your academics. Higher academic performance can unlock additional Social Link opportunities.
Utilize the Calendar: Keep track of important dates and events in the game. Some Social Links can only be accessed on specific days or during certain months.
Recommendation: Focus on building relationships with your teammates early on, as they not only enhance your combat abilities but also provide valuable story insights and character development. Prioritize your time wisely to ensure you can maximize your Social Links before the game’s deadlines.
