TL;DR
Shiba Temple of Minato
For players aiming to reach level 30, the Shiba Temple of Minato offers a convenient grinding spot. The checkpoint near the sewer entrance allows easy access to battles with three rats that provide substantial experience points. This location is particularly useful for leveling up characters who have fallen behind, as these fights are faster than mini-boss battles [1].
Monad Dungeon
The Monad Dungeon is considered the best place for end-game grinding once you reach the top of Tartarus. To unlock Monad, players need to complete Elizabeth's request to defeat the Reaper [2:2]. This dungeon provides the highest experience gain and is ideal for maxing out your character's level
[2:1].
Phantom Ship (Other Games)
Although not directly related to Persona 3: Reload, discussions from other games like "Legend of Dragoon" mention the Phantom Ship as an excellent spot for grinding additions and experience. It offers free healing, quick access to battles, and good experience points [5:2]
[5:6]. While this isn't applicable to Persona 3: Reload, it highlights the importance of finding areas with easy access to resources and consistent enemy encounters.
General Tips for Grinding
In general, it's beneficial to focus on areas where enemies are at their highest level for maximum experience gain. Red-colored Shadows in Persona 3 can yield significant experience points [2:1]. Additionally, utilizing consumable items to boost experience can expedite the leveling process
[1:3].
While the specifics of each game's grinding spots may differ, the principles remain similar: look for areas with high-level enemies, easy access to battles, and opportunities for resource management.
Okay, people, I think I have one of the best places to farm exp if you are level 30 or wanting to raise your characters to level 30, obviously with the corresponding consumable items to increase the EXP received in the latter case, would be in the Shiba Temple of Minato, you have a checkpoint next to the beginning of the sewer, when you go down you will see 3 rats, When you go down you will see 3 rats, join the 3 and when you finish the fight they really give a very good amount of exp In a good session I could raise 5 levels to my main team from 35 to 40, taking 3 fights per level, but it is much more effective if you want to level up your other characters so they do not fall so far behind, in the future surely in chapter 3 they will release an item that can increase the EXP gained up to level 40 and a place like this where you can repeat the trick.
Imo best fights to 30 are the minibuses. To 40 are the shark and brave divers. That way you get their materials and possibly card toi
Sure, but the difference is that if you want to level up characters that were left behind, the mini-bosses may cost a little more, plus these fights with normal enemies are faster.
I’ve been doing this constantly and adding on the XP boosters to get everyone up to at least 30!
I'm doing male route if that matters
There isn't any place normally. With exp scaling, it's basically go to wherever the enemies are at their highest level. Fighting red-colored Shadows will net you the most exp.
With that said, once you're able to reach the top of Tartarus for End Game, the optional Monad dungeon is the best place to max out your level.
How do i get to Monad?
Once you reached the top floor, Elizabeth will give you a request to beat the reaper. Beat it and then Monad will unlock.
I believe you get a mission to kill a reaper. After doing so, Monad opens.
I'm about 30 levels away from rank 1000...what is the best dungeon/arena/stage to repeat for rank experience? Thanks for any advice!
I'm a fan of this MD4 Namielle Swipe. It is super easy, requiring no more effort than an ASR1 swipe team. It gives 179M rank exp (359M with ad), so it takes a LOT less runs than ASR1 does.
I just found this thread and am trying this. What do you do about Aten on floor 10? Namielle knocks him down to super resolve and my auto-fua didn't finish him, so he would awoken bind and skill boost my leads, which leads to death
If you get Aten, pop Namielle and swipe. After his super resolve actions, pop Hikoboshi assist, Artemis, and Namielle #3. On the floor 11, start with Li's assist for the delay. 1 combo twice. Pop Metatron assist, then Namielle #2, and swipe.
After that, you should be good with Namielle every floor and refresh Artemis to keep the autoheal running.
You can do the build with fewer dark resist latents as well if you stall out the fixed HP from Kamimusubi 1 turn on floor 13. I didn't use them on any of my Namielles because I didn't want to keep changing them every time I farmed something else.
ASR1 is by far the easiest especially if you can use something like the new years dark damage void to cheese Lucifer. Easy to use the 2.8 exp rank leads and lurica from the GA Bunko collab if you have two of her would make an easy pairing.
Do you happen to know of an example of a possible team with the two lurica?
I tried this out for UN1. Easy dungeon, just need an assist to create greens for Ais to transform and equips with dragon killers to break caps on your damage dealers.
Edit: you probably don't need the killers, but with them you can 1 shot the boss.
I’ve been running two AIS, RYU, and then some sub with heavy TPA damage. Inherit awoken bind clear on lurica or the TPA sub. Most rounds easy clear with one TPA and two wood combos. I’m sure there are more optimum teams, likely green orb gen in short cool down with TPA
There's no need for Luci cheesing anymore. His challenges were nerfed a while back.
If you have a team for it and can make the time, the Billion Dungeon LTD is the best in the game, giving a billion rank exp.
ASR1 (Alt. Illusory World of Carnage 1) with exp leads is pretty accessible at this point, probably the most popular.
Depending on what you have, there may be UN or SN dungeons that you can make a team to handle for a bit more exp than ASR1.
Mostly using these 2 teams...not the most experienced player yet though. Thanks all for the feedback!
Since none of those leaders give rank exp multipliers you're going to want to just clear whatever SN or UN dungeon you can clear quickly and consistently, the highest one you can farm.
Depending on your box you may have better options. Searching "ASR1 rank" on here or Youtube might find some results you could use.
Without rank EXP leads and swipe setups it's going to be very long and grindy. EXP wise you're about half way there (975 is half way to 1,000, if I remember correctly).
I was wondering the same. I’ve been grinding UN6 as it gives more XP than AUN5.
Not sure if there is a better option
Yur 👋🏾. It's me again. I was wondering if the wonderful community help me in which floors are the best for farming materials. Trying to beat the last boss and enter Tengoku comfortably than stressing myself out about getting one shot because of shitty gear.
Hiramatsu has a bit of everything
Depends on the material. I'm a fan of all material floors so I farmed the elevator floors hiromatsu, togose and yatsuo. Nakasaki is nice for steel.
Join the discord btw, lots of tips like this in there.
Could you give me the link?
I'm just curious if anyone has any good grinding spots. Specifically for D-Levels, additions and gold.
I'm at the beginning of disc 3 on the PS4/5 version and just left Furni and fought Kamuy. I'm sure the answer is simple, and I'll have to wait till I'm further to grind things like satchets and exp and gold. I'm just having trouble not defaulting to the same 3 characters because they have more Dragoon levels, more additions and can use higher level magic. And I'm having trouble affording gear to keep up.
Any help on how to grind these is appreciated!
I always recommend Dragon's Nest in general. Double Lizard Man spawn with double phys barrier makes addy farming a breeze; thereby cutting down on transition times. If you take too much damage, can easily heal at the spring underground! Tack on a save point, and there's no place more convenient IMO.
Runners-up include Shrine of Shirley, Phantom Ship, and Kadessa which have similar amenities. However, for gold and character exp, the best place to grind is just the most recently unlocked dungeon (I find this more consistent than Rare Monster farming). Side note: all the gear you need is free via treasure chests, with rare exception like the early Heat Blade in Kazas. Some are less notable while others, like the Chain Mail in Dragon's Nest, are crucial pickups.
Phantom Ship and Death Frontier are the 2 best spots.
Phantom Ship - free healing, ship store, and you get to choose when to battle rather than waiting for a random encounter. (Just run into a wisp)
Death Frontier - easy access to free healing, choose when to battle, the monsters have more HP so you can use extra additions.
All other locations either have no healing or you have to run around wasting time, hoping to get a random encounter.
I was going to say phantom ship is an amazing place to level up everyone great exp for normal levels and enemies are pretty easy to defeat
Phantom ship by far was my favourite spot to max everyone's additions. I don't remember if you are already post that. You can easily heal and easily end in battle. Use talisman to avoid instant death
I grinded a little on the phantom ship. But I can't go back to it unfortunately. I knew I should've spent more time there but I only get like an hour a night to play so I got impatient after being there for like 3 days lol
Phantom ship is the best IMO, but has some pros/cons.
-Pros:
Item shop, save, and free rest all in same spot
Little to no wait between fights
Minigame that you can while farming (big 1x reward)
Good EXP
You have most of the characters / dragoons
-Cons:
Enemies have good speed (more time watching enemies go)
One guy has insta-kill, some have decent evade stats
Enemies deal enough dmg you'll be resting more
One time area-- once you leave you can't come back
The minigame gives you the Ultimate Wargod, which normally costs 10k gold. Personally I just sell it for 5k tho
I enjoyed farming for sachets at the giganto home, and then going to that strip of water that spawns rainbow birds to get that sweet exp. Purely luck based though lol
I like the bandit hideout so I can grind for satchets energy girdle drops and bandit rings while getting my additions and a lot of money from selling loot. Not exactly the easy like phantom ship or anything but I think it is far more rewarding
Disk 3 doesn't really have any "lazy" grind spots sadly. Only one that doesn't.
Disk 1: Volcano - lava fish, bonus they drop healing potions
Disk 2: Bandit Archers
Disk 2: Phantom Ship
Disk 4: Desert
Disk 3 does have a single room in Forbidden Land where a certain monster type will jump into you, but they are worth almost no xp and can inflict a lot of status effects, so it isn't worth it.
I think the long corridors in the volcano raise your encounter meter pretty quick.
NGL, those jumping monsters are my go-to for disk 3 addition grinding. They are worth no xp, but they spawn and put you into new encounters so quickly that it's worth it for all of your fast characters, like Meru Hashel and Rose, to get the additions crushed out. I get Meru from level 1 D'Lv to 5 in like an hour with spirit ring and dancers boots.
Plus there is a healing spot in the zone so you don't need to worry about wasting too much time guarding for health.
I wish I could remember the names of the enemies, but I know it was the giganto home and I would always be around that area where the rock fireflies are. And again bad memory lol but on the way to rouge on the water
Most spots where i could grind efficiently got much worse- enemies became bulkier. Can you recommend something?
This bench in the citadel. Kill the three minions to the right of it. Attach the snitches tool that gives u more rosaries and u lose some if ur hit. Can farm 200 rosaries every 1.5 minutes if ur fast
So I just beat the Hanged Man full moon shadow and unlocked Thanatos and he’s wayyyy higher level than he is in FES or portable I think. Maybe he’s not idk but preeeetty sure he is. I COULD wait and get him later but ion wanna do that. Are there any somewhat reliable xp grinding methods at this point in the game?
The fastest leveling method would be to fight reaper on peaceful difficulty if you're not on merciless. I did it around lvl 56 and it brought me instantly to 80+.
I’ve tried to do it but it took forever so I gave up, any fast method?
Not really, it took me about ten minutes to defeat it.
For a first kill, best teamates imo would be Koromaru for rebelion and go for critical hit to down him, Mitsuru for defence break and Yukari to keep you alive and lower precision. Start the fight with Fuuka's buff (def/precision) and do not hesitate to use items such as magic mirror or sp regeneration.
Having a persona with dekunda helps a lot since he cas use debilitate.
Just did this, took about 15min but its well worth it.
Does peaceful difficulty lessen xp gains? Or is it the same
It makes you gain more xp I think
You seem to be correct. After a very quick search, it seems Thanatos is in the 60s in other games, but 78 in Reload.
As far as grinding goes I would imagine using the fortune teller and just running through finding golden hands until you can beat the reaper to unlock that.
I'm not quite that far yet though. So, maybe someone else has better advice.
This game is a masterpiece. I had to do 2 playthroughs for the plat which took a while (159 hours) but every second was a blast. I got lucky too because I didn’t have even a single extra day I got all my social link and social link episodes finished (episodes not necessary for plat but still) on the final day. I didn’t even use a guide I just had to bring out a good ol’ calendar and notes app for the last month to schedule everything.
Overall the plat was not that hard prob a 5/10 even on merciless difficulty. I just don’t think the game was too hard. Maybe this is because I’ve played Pokemon all my life so I’m a pro at turn based games??? It’s prob like a 2/10 on the easiest difficulty.
If anyone wants to try the plat just make sure to save your game frequently because if you die you have to go back to your most recent save and the game doesn’t auto save (at least on merciless not sure how it works on the other difficulties). Learned that one the hard way.
Congrats. Persona 3 does have my favourite story and soundtrack of the Persona games. If you buy DLC Personas in any Persona game it goes to a 0/10 difficulty lol.
Thank you!
And yeah I plan on buying the season pass for all the cool personas, outfits, and episode Aigis. It just sucks tho because I misinterpreted the end date for the sale they just had as “May 24” when it was really “April 24” so now it’s like 12 bucks more expensive. Maybe I deserve this for such a silly mistake tho.
This game has 49 trophies: 38 bronze, 7 silver, 3 gold, and a platinum.
They are easy (3/10) and take 60 - 70 hours to complete.
Price: $69.99
Other region prices, wishlist, or buy | Trophy guides: PSNP, PS3T, Pyx
I am a bot. More info about me
Thinking about starting my third play through and I want to try to fuse >!Izanagi-no-Okami!< this time around.
The Golden Hands give a fuckton of exp, so I imagine grinding up on them in the endgame dungeons should get you to 99 relatively quickly.
Oh sick. Are there any good spots in particular to farm them?
I’m not sure, I’m pretty sure they just spawn randomly based on what I’ve seen from Golden. But hunting them down is by far the fastest way to level up; I’ve seen playthroughs where the entire party is in the level 90 range by dungeon 6 because of how easy it is to grind on the golden hands.
I think if you kill one and immediately leave that floor and return to that same floor then it will be more likely to be there
I'm playing through P4G my first time and I'm at level 91 at >!Adachi's dungeon!< Basically about halfway through I fused a Setenta with Megido and started farming for cards to improve him and found the golden hands tend to be weak to almighty and in most areas at least one will spawn in every new level.
Ok so I just have gotten into persona like a month ago I've been playing persona 3 portable and i didn't spend enough time on grinding in Tartarus so I got to the hanged man boss fight and I'm like level 30 my last save is at 11/21 can I get to the needed level until the boss or should I just go to a save a little farther back? Note:at the 11/21 save I'm at floor 80 of the third block in Tartarus
Totally doable. The fatigue mechanic isn't very punishing on Portable VS the PS2 version.
But yeah, as a general rule if you can climb up to the next locked door in Tartarus you're ready for the full moon boss.
Yes you can, and you don't even need to spend a lot of time grinding because Persona games have level scaling, that means you're gonna get a fuckton of xp by beating enemies with much higher level than you, you just need to find suitable enemies so you can exploit/abuse the battle mechanics to your advantage.
Thanks for the advice
Best grinding spots in Persona 3: Reload
Key Considerations for Grinding in Persona 3: Reload
Experience Points (XP) Gain: Focus on areas where enemies yield high XP. The higher the level of the enemies, the more XP you’ll earn.
Enemy Types: Target enemies that are weak to your current party's skills. This will allow you to defeat them quickly and efficiently.
Time Management: Keep an eye on your in-game time. Make sure you balance grinding with other activities like social links and leveling up your personas.
Location Benefits: Some areas may have specific benefits, such as increased drop rates for valuable items or personas.
Party Composition: Ensure your party is well-balanced with a mix of physical and magical abilities to handle various enemy types effectively.
Recommended Grinding Spots:
Tartarus: The best place for grinding is often Tartarus, especially in the early floors. The enemies here are manageable and provide decent XP.
The Block 1 (Arqa): This area has a good mix of enemies and is ideal for early to mid-game grinding.
The Block 2 (Yabbashah): As you progress, this area offers stronger enemies that yield higher XP, making it a great spot for leveling up.
The Block 3 (Kagutsuchi): Once you’re more powerful, this area can provide excellent grinding opportunities with tougher enemies.
Tip: Use the "Shuffle Time" feature after battles to gain additional personas or items, which can enhance your overall capabilities and make grinding more efficient.
