TL;DR Six Flags offers various dining pass options that can provide value depending on your frequency of visits and preferences. The passes typically include meals, snacks, and drinks, with some restrictions on menu items and timing.
One Day Dining Pass
The One Day Dining Pass at Six Flags Great Adventure includes two meals, one snack, and unlimited drinks for the day [1:1]. You can purchase this pass online or on the day of your visit, but it must be activated at specific locations within the park
[1:2]. Meals are marked with "M" and snacks with "S" on the menu, and there is a 90-minute wait between meals
[1:4].
Dining Plan vs. Meal Vouchers
Six Flags has transitioned from the Dining Pass to the "4-Meal Dining Plan," which costs around $40 at Magic Mountain [2:1]. While the Dining Pass was accepted at all restaurants, the Dining Plan may have more limited acceptance based on meal vouchers. Legacy members who had the Dining Pass as part of their membership can continue using it under their existing benefits
[2:2]
[2:4].
Premium Dining Pass
The Premium Dining Pass allows usage across all Six Flags parks and can be added to the Six Flags app for convenience [3:1]
[3:2]. This pass includes two free meals, one snack, and a refillable drink cup, offering more comprehensive coverage than the Basic pass
[5:2].
Healthy and Menu Options
The dining plan typically includes regular or smaller menu items, with limited healthy options available [4:2]. Users can browse dining options through the Six Flags app to see what meals are covered by the dining plan
[4:3]. Some parks may have better food quality and selection than others, so it's worth checking specific park offerings
[4:4].
Value Considerations
Whether the dining pass is worth it depends on your visit frequency and food preferences. For frequent visitors, especially those with memberships, the dining pass can offer substantial savings [5:1]
[5:3]. However, if you already receive discounts through a membership, weigh the cost against potential savings.
Hi! I'm going to Six Flags Great Adventure in a couple of days! I have several questions about the "One Day dining pass." Do most locations accept this since it only requires the meals and snacks to show "M" or "S" on the menu? How does it work if I buy it online? Will they ship the cup to me or do I get it at some location? Can I buy this pass the day of my trip? Are there time limits as to when I can buy the meals? Or can I buy them at the same time?
Below is how they describe it!

Enjoy 2 Meals, 1 Snack & Drinks all day using your All Day Drink Bottle at select in park locations. Choose from a wide variety of options including- Chicken Tenders, Cheesesteaks, Pizza, Pretzels, Funnel Cakes and so much more! Meal & Snack options are designated by "M" & "S" on select location menus. Your All Day Drink Bottle can be refilled at all in park locations by showing your wristband.
Not Valid at Hurricane Harbor New Jersey.
>Do most locations accept this since it only requires the meals and snacks to show "M" or "S" on the menu?
Yes.

>How does it work if I buy it online? Will they ship the cup to me or do I get it at some location?
Not all locations accept online orders. Regardless of the ones that do, you have to go to pick up your order. They don't have "delivery" :D

>Can I buy this pass the day of my trip?
Yes

>Are there time limits as to when I can buy the meals? Or can I buy them at the same time?
No limits. Buy whenever you like.
Hi, could you offer some clarification on the drinks all-day part?
Do we pick up the cup somewhere in the park, and is there an additional fee to purchase the cup?
Thank you very much!
You cannot buy dinner until 90 minutes after you used your lunch. There used to be specific time windows, but now they’ve gone to “first meal, 90 minutes later second meal.”
Is alcohol included with this deal? That ’s the only reason I’d buy it but I have a feeling that I’ll get there and it won’t be included…
u wish loll it’s never for alcohol :(
I'm here now and so happy I read this.
You're just buying this pass for the free drinks all day. 2 meals and 1 snack costs slightly less than the pass. Drinks are like $6 each.
The worst part about this pass is that you buy it online, but you have to activate it at the park at like one of three restaurants by the front entrance. They don't explain that it's only the ones by the front entrance in the fine print so you go to like any of the 4 funnel cake shops in the place and they say "nope, go back to the main entrance".
For what it's worth, I bought all 3 at one place at the same time with a drink all in to go containers.
so you wouldn't recommend it?
no, you're saving money for frustrating inconvenience
👏
I know that Six Flags is no longer offering the Dining Pass, but they do have a "4-Meal Dining Plan" for $40 at Magic Mountain. On their website they list "Dining Pass Accepted" and "Meal Vouchers Accepted" for certain restaurants. Are Dining Pass and Dining Pass interchangeable? Or is the Dining Plan only accepted for restaurants with support for meal vouchers?
They done away with the dinning pass but members who have it on their membership and are in good standing are grandfathered in and now are called a legacy membership and they will honor all benefits that you have been paying for before I have the diamond elite vip with deluxe dinning and will still be able to get 2 meals and a snack every time I visit the park and it will be accepted every restaurant both dinning membership and meal plans
Is there any way to confirm this? We've been paying for our memberships monthly since 2019 and their chat and email help...has not helped.
Is it fair to assume that if we just continue to pay our monthly premium we're grandfathered in?
Yes I talked to national customer service and was told we are grandfathered in as long as we stay in good paying standing we will have and keep all our benefits
So on my visit I saw that all the menues offer "meals" which have a big M bag next to them. These were usually an entree with a side, and no drink (but I bought a season bottle and could get free refills at most places). I was able to use it at Chicken Coupe and Carlini's Pizza. I believe Big Belly Burger and Johnny Rockets were also covered, as was Munchiez and possibly Wascal's. Twin Charged Tacos did not seem to support the Dining Plan.
Overall, the Dining Plan is still valuable if you plan to eat at all. One meal is 15-18 dollars, and the Plan is 4 meals for about $48 (including fees and taxes) so if you end up using all 4 meals, you could save around $20. Not nearly as good a deal as the original Pass but that's why SF got rid of it.
I bought the dining pass during the Labor Day flash sale but don’t remember if it said I could use it at any location. My receipt shows “2020 2-Park Premium Dining”
Anyone know?
Yes, the Premium upgrade allows it to work at all parks. Have you installed the Six Flags app on your phone? You can add the pass to it so you don't need the physical card, and it tells you what parks it works with, plus all the discounts/offers you have.
Yes, the premium dining pass allows you to eat at any six flags (:
I'm considering buying the dining plan for next year for Great Adventure in NJ. But I don't know what that includes. What does the dining plan meal typically include? Are there any healthy options?
Things of note. You’re generally restricted to the regular or “smaller” menu items. Like you can get the single cheeseburger, but not the double. You can get the foot long hot dog, but not the chili cheese footlong hotdog. Our home park has very few healthy items available. My son was able to upgrade some chicken strips one day to the hot chicken strips by paying an up charge, so that might be an option, but if I’m paying at every meal then I need to question the value of the food pass. Keep in mind the 3 hour rule and how long you’ll actually be in the park. We’ve ran into “problems” a couple of times now where we’re not ready for dinner, but most of the restaurants in our home park start to close up around an hour before closing. So if we get to the park at 11 and eat lunch, we need to be in one of the restaurants by 5:00 (if the park is closing at 6, which has been the case on Sundays now). We’re not always ready to eat by that time since we need to be heading to dinner around 4:45 if we’re going to get our 2nd meal that day.
Ultimately the food at Six Flags isn’t great. I haven’t really been thrilled with the quality. However, the portions are generally big and it isn’t hard to go enough to get your value out of it. The average meal is around $15-17 from what I’ve seen. So you can do some math and figure out the value you think you’ll get out of it. Our home park costs $100 for the 2 meal dining plan. We’ve been 3 times so far and have gotten 6 meals per person (2 per day). That puts us at roughly $90 per person that we would have spent had we been paying out of pocket. Now in reality, we’ve gotten a 2nd meal in the park that we wouldn’t have normally gotten (either got fast food on the way home, which would be much cheaper, or waited to eat until we got home). Since we just got our passes, and have all of next year to go, it’s not hard to see we’ll be coming out way ahead by the end of the next season.
The best way to find out is to download the six flags app. Click on your home park and then choose dining at the bottom of your screen. Now you can browse all of the dining options. Meal plan will be labeled next to all of the items on the menu that you can utilize the dining plan for. There are quite a few options. If you have the money, definitely go for it. In my opinion the dinning plan options are hearty and delicious for the price. Get a diamond pass with a meal plan! You will be all set with food and beverages for the rest of 2023 and 2024. Let me know if you have any more questions. Enjoy!
It all depends on your park and how long do you stay in park. My is SFGA and food quality is bad and expensive. I never stay for more than 3-4 hours in a visit. It does not makes sense for me to have a meal plan.
Here is the menu for 2022. While it is no doubt different now, it will give you a sense of the types of food Six Flags makes available:

Very helpful! Thank you!
Wanted to get your thoughts on the dining pass..... for SFMM.
I already have diamond elite but expect to go to the park at least 6 times this year. Not sure if I should get the dining pass or not given the pass will get me 50% off food already.
If I lived closer it would be a no brainer...
The Basic dining pass will get you a free meal and snack. The premium dining pass will give you 2 free meals, 1 free snack, and a refillable drink cup. These are all free, whereas with the membership you still have to pay for them, even if it is 50% off.
If you only plan on attending SFMM then I would get the bssic for $50. If you plan on attending other parks then I would pay the $90.
Even with 6 visits this completely pays for itself and then some.
Basic is a meal and a snack, Deluxe is 2 meals and a snack. Premium is only for the Gold membership since Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite have the red member bottles instead of all day.
The member dining pass can be used at every six flags park, not just MM. There's a slight waiting period between meals, but you can get the snack at anytime. There are some foods that also might have a slight upcharge of a dollar or two with the pass, but it's worth it.
So the current deal right now (for SFMM, my home park) is get Deluxe dining for $81.99, get free dessert through 2019 and dining plus drink cup through end of 2020, 2 meals plus snack. This is the season pass deal. However when I log in with my gold plus membership, it tells me I have to pay $7.50 monthly, and no drink cup is offered, plus the obvious no free 2019 remainder in the deal, or dessert. How the F does this work> I get screwed for paying for the membership instead of a lower lever season pass? It works out to about $150 if I were to sign up now and pay the member dining fee through 2020, and not get drinks, as opposed to $82. So, what I did was just log out, pay for the $82 season pass plan, and will try to activate it at the park with the print/email voucher. Has anyone else dealt with this? I swear, Six Flags could do a much better job spelling out the details to these sales and deals.
Update: I was able to activate my season dining pass with platinum upgrade, they linked it to my membership no problem.
Please let me know if buying separately works for you. I’m having the same issue/question . I bought the membership last night but forgot to add the dining pass along with it and see no option to add it afterwards.
What they want you to do is go to your member login and go to upgrades and add it there. My issue is that by adding it thru the member page, you don't get the $81.99 deal including the drink cup and dessert. It would cost $150 to pay monthly for the same time period and not get the cup or dessert thru 2019.
During checkout it offered me a “one time offer” of $6/per month more for Deluxe dining. I added it but forgot to select my name with it , which got deselected afterwards . Didn’t noticed till after seeing receipt.
I also don’t see an option to add any dining afterwards
I bought the season dining pass instead of the member one. I bought it separately from my membership.
I just went to member services at the park and had them attach it to my membership.
Yeah, that definitely had me scratching my head. No one in their right mind would choose the member dining over season dining, at least during this sale. They're probably counting on people not comparing apples to apples (16-month season dining vs. monthly membership dining) and paying the inflated member prices.
Purchasing a membership and season dining separately is definitely the way to go.
We just did the lunch and snack one. $40 each and were were at the park 4 days. Totally worth it.
Awesome, thank you! That's exactly what I was looking to hear.
Hi everyone!!
Me and some friends are planning to go to six flags soon, and we have a question about the Unlimited All Day Dining Deal: “Enjoy a Meal of your Choice Every 90 Minutes at participating restaurants. Choose from a variety of options including - Chicken Strips, Burgers, Pizza and much more! PLUS, enjoy refreshing Coca-Cola beverages all day long with a 2023 Drink All Day Bottle!”
Me and my friends are thinking of getting this meal deal and try to stagger when we eat as much as possible so we can all eat for as cheap as possible. I know that meal times are a thing at the park, for example there aren’t dinner meal options at 2 PM. So what are the meal times? And how realistic is this plan?
Thank you!
Meal times aren’t actually a thing at the park. Haven’t been for a while. Just the waiting period after your first meal.
At my park, there are at least *some* options open from open to close (roughly), but some might open later or close early.
The cheapest way to eat at the park is to plan your meals so you either don’t need to eat at the park at all or schedule things so that you only need to eat one meal so you can just buy it separately.
If you like to eat a lot and don’t want to spend much pack a picnic and keep it in a cooler in the car.
You’ll save a massive amount of money and you won’t feel disgustingly full of fried food in the heat and on the rides.
So we buy cedar fair all park passports and meal passes but now with six flags being part of the chain, we want to include the six flags meal plans with our pass as well
Up until now everyone has said you have to buy a six flags season pass specifically to get the meal pass ad on
I just messaged six flags asking since I have a Carowinds pass with passport, can I buy just a six flags meal pass without a season pass to use and they said yes, either buy online or in person
I know the checkout online will allow you to buy a meal pass without having to enter in a season pass btw.
So anyway. I guess we will try to buy just a six flags all park meal pass. Anyone else try it or plan on it yet ?
So, I was wondering about this, too. However, it looks like they MAY have fixed this. A few days ago, I registered my Worlds of Fun pass in its app. (I bought it last year, but have been stalling in activating it to make sure the company worked out any problems from the merger!)
Then I bought the all parks dining pass for Worlds of Fun and added it into the app. When I added the pass into the other Cedar Fair apps (it's really annoying that you have to manually add it to each park's app, even after logging into your Cedar fair account!), the all parks dining pass was already there in my pass in each other park's app. (For some reason, my gold pass is listed as a silver one in ONLY the Schlitterbahn app.)
When I added the WoF pass into the Six Flags app, IT GAVE ME A NEW SIX FLAGS PASS NUMBER. Then I added that Six Flags pass into my account on the Six Flags website. The app doesn't actually log you into any account, so your pass doesn't seem to be linked to your account until you do it on their website!
At that point, it stopped asking me for my season pass number when I tried to buy the Six Flags meal plan, since I was already logged in to the account with the pass linked to it.
I'm not sure how their meal plan gets added to the Six Flags all parks pass. Do you do it in the app, or the website, or is it automatically linked when you purchase it from your Six Flags account on the web? I hate that the app doesn't log you in. What happens if your app or phone crashes and needs to be reinstalled or reset?
I'm still not sure if I want to buy the SF meal plan, since I'm only spending 5.5 days at SF parks (and one of those days, I'm going to an FEC with a buffet after!) And it's $155, plus tax and fees. But I'd like the option, and don't want to be the guiney pig, if it doesn't work. Especially with a $155 pass!
If any one else manages to do it and make it work, let us know, please?
I may be trying it in 2 weeks at SF GA with a Carowinds purchased pass. I'll let you all know
We are doing like 10 days at least in SF parks this year and probably another 10 at cedar fair so I think we will eat our moneys worth.
If you eat both meals each day at the park and would have spend $15-20 per meal, then you'll get your money's worth in 5 visits. My problem is that I'm doing 5.5 visits this year, and probably won't have at least one of the meals (since I'm doing an all you can eat buffet at an FEC with a coaster credit right after the park closes, so using a "free" meal from my pass would defeat the purpose if it makes me eat less at the buffet.
Were you able to successfully add a meal plan?
I never considered doing that, as of right now darien lake is letting me buy just the add on, but im afraid of not being able to use it without a scanned in six flags season pass.
“In order for benefits to be redeemed, the Season Pass must be used for admission on the same date”
It’d be 243$ for the all park meal plan, because id have to buy a season pass too if the above applies.
I already have a cedar point gold with all park passport. So it feels kinda pointless to buy this.
It sure seems like we are just screwed on getting meal plans for both “franchises”
See my comment above. If you add your Cedar Fair pass number into your Six Flags app, it will give you a new Six Flags pass number, with a bar code. Presumably THAT pass and its bar code can be scanned at Six Flags parks for admission. It's probably best to manually add that new SF pass number to your SF account on their website, so that pass is actually registered to you. (Unless they've changed it, the SF app doesn't actually log you into your account.)
I'm not sure how the all parks dining passes work in the Six Flags app and sites. With the Cedar Fair dining pass, it automatically shows up attached to my gold all parks pass in each of the individual CF park apps.
How do I add my Cedar Fair pass to my Six Flags app as I see no where to add it and therefore can't get a Six Flags pass number?
Yes. THIS!
I've done the inverse... Six Flags Magic Mountain is my home park and I got the All Park Passport to go to Knott's soon after it became available. I couldn't do the add-ons from the website, so I asked while at Knott's to add a Cedar Fair Drink Plan Plus and it works fine from the Six Flags app.
Can anyone show how they got their Cedar Fair pass to switch to an Sig Flags pass.? I have the All Park Passport from Cedar Point and I used it last year but don't know how to switch it to Six Flags.
I had gotten that response today that I would need a Six Flags season pass specifically to get the meal pass add on.
Hello, please post this in our weekly advice thread. Thanks!
https://old.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters/comments/1jueyfe/2025_advice_thread_15_48_414/?sort=new
Are they worth it? I just bought 2026 season passes for my whole family. 5 of us. I figure just one meal normally costs 15 dollars. While the meal plan costs 70 about. If we go just 5 times that’s kind of paying for itself. What are your thoughts.
I went 12 times this summer and once in 2024's Frightfest. I got 26 meals( 2 each visit) equaling roughly $500 in food for just $90 on the dining plan and $90 for the gold pass. Dining plan is amazing if you go multiple times.
I always just bring a cooler of food with me and take a mid afternoon break and eat at the car.
Much healthier, better fuel, cheaper, and will sit better in my stomach as I'm riding coasters.
My home park is SFMM and I so wish we could do this. The parking lot is such a massive walk from the entrance gates. They really need a secondary entrance closer to the parking lots.
I would but with 2 kids under 5 that’d be more work than it’s worth
We have found it to be worth it. We go 1-2 times a month. Usually we only stay long enough for one meal but sometimes we’re able to get 2 (have to be 4 hours apart). I just got food passes for my son and I and when my husband joins us we just share 3 ways.
One meal is $19-24 at Kings, Cedar Point and Mi Adventure. You may want to recalculate. Right now we buy 3 all park meal deals for two adults and a 6 and 8 year old to split the third. In total we spend about 12-13 days at various parks over the summer so it works out well for us.
You have kinda answered your own question. It all depends on how often you plan to go. With the MVP pass I plan to hit at least a half dozen parks within the next 18 months or so, and I got the all parks drink and all parks meal plans - so I will make mine worth the investment.
I think the meal plan only works with home park for 2025 but all parks in 2026 (at least for NE) but let us know if you get it to work as I plan to go to a Cedar Fair park this year.
They have one for all works and for just your home park. I decided I am getting all parks. I’ll be going a lot and figured why not. 155 for 2 meals.
Grandparents are thinking about getting season passes for the kids. Could someone break down the pros and cons between the season passes and the memberships? Also, does Six Flag offer a season dining pass still, or just the membership add -on? Thanks.

How old are the kids?
Middle school to late teens.
We’ve had our memberships for a few years now and it’s worth it to us because we have 2 younger kids. I’m not sure how the passes and memberships work now, but I know with our memberships they never expire unless we cancel and season passes need to be renewed every year. Also, depending on which season pass you choose, that has to be paid at once and the memberships are monthly for at least 12 months. If you get the season pass you need to make sure Hurricane Harbor is included or you will have to pay a little extra at the park to access that. I know they did implement a new chaperone policy as well - Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to, or remain in, the park after 4:00 p.m. local time to close. It seems a lot has changed with the passes and memberships but if you plan on going a lot then I think it could be worth it!
