No. Learned this the hard way. It does not work. They are on two separate systems. I tried this two years ago with an Orlando cup.

Honestly, I’d reach out to universal directly and ask this question. They may run on different systems because it’s two separate coasts.

Alternately, if they just have a sticker with the chip they might be able to attach to the bottom it but Universal might be the only ones who can confirm this for sure.

I have this exact same cup from last year and I was able to purchase refills for it this past weekend. I did purchase mine in Orlando, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Why not go alone? I love going to parks, especially new ones, alone because I can do what I want when I want and as many times as I want. Don't get me wrong I like going to parks with friends too but if I had to choose I would go alone majority of the time. Definitely not a knock on you or anything like that I'm just always curious as to why people need to go to an amusement park with someone and not alone. Maybe I'm just a loner lol.

Find a random person on Reddit to go to the park with or just go by myself. Hmmm......

I visited great adventure 27 times solo, Hershey 7 times solo, Dorney 5 times solo , kings dominion and kings island both 1x solo this year alone. My fiancée moved out of state for personal reasons and I visit her once a month and we go to parks together but I like them much more than her lol don’t feel afraid to go alone if you wanted to

I WILL say, going alone is not as intimidating as you may think. You can jump in all the single rider lanes! Also literally no one will notice or care that you’re alone. I do it all the time!

Might just be me, but go by yourself. You do what you want when you want. If there’s nothing wrong with a solo trip to another state or country, there’s nothing wrong with a solo trip to SF.
