Miguel and Santo Studio
Miguel's collaboration with Santo Studio for their partnership with Nordstrom is a recent example of a celebrity-endorsed clothing line. Fans have expressed excitement about this collaboration, indicating that Miguel's involvement could potentially lead to high demand and sell-out collections [1:1]. This partnership highlights how celebrities can bring attention and credibility to fashion brands through their personal style and fanbase.
90s Rapper Fashion Influence
The influence of 90s rappers on fashion is still evident today, with many nostalgic for brands like Mecca, Ecko, Wu Wear, Karl Kani, and Pelle Pelle [4:1]
[4:2]
[4:3]. These brands were synonymous with hip-hop culture and are remembered fondly by those who lived through that era. The enduring appeal of these brands demonstrates the lasting impact of celebrity endorsements from iconic figures in music.
Men’s Juicy Couture
While not directly linked to a specific celebrity, Juicy Couture has been associated with various celebrities over the years. Men's Juicy Couture apparel is noted for its unique blend of masculine and vibrant designs, though it remains relatively rare in resale markets outside Japan [5:1]
[5:3]. This scarcity adds an element of exclusivity, which can be appealing for fans of the brand looking for distinctive pieces.
Celebrity Reseller Market
The reseller market for celebrity-endorsed brands can vary significantly in quality and authenticity. Some users have expressed skepticism about certain resellers, noting that prices can be exorbitant for replicas or "reps" [2:3]. It's important for consumers to research and verify the credibility of sellers when purchasing celebrity-endorsed items to ensure they are getting genuine products.
Love our young fashion king. ❤️
In the words of Serena: love me some Miggy!
This is really cool, I love this for Migz
YUP let's goooo miguel 🥳🥳🥳
I'm so happy for him. I hope that his collaboration sells out.

He is a reseller. Those prices are insane for reps. Would never cop from that store
Do you know who is he reselling from? Looking for the RO post ville sweater and black and green RO corduroy🙏

For the new year, strictly Wu Wear

Karl Kani was the fly shit back then lol but I'd rock them all, even now.
Kani is the easy answer to me
That or cross colors.
From the choices given - Mecca
From the choices not given - Ecko

But Echo before the K
I went to Rutgers with him in the early 90's - he was a year or two ahead of me in pharmacy school. Then he failed med chem and his other shit was starting to take off so he dropped out. He had done a painting of tablets/capsules etc that hung on the wall in the student lounge in the pharmacy building. He quickly moved from making shit in his garage to the big time.
This. Echo was live
Mecca
First time I visited New York, I think it was 2000, there was a billboard that said “Rock Mecca, keep your lunch money.” I thought it was the coolest shit ever.
This is the only picture I could find of it on google:

men’s juicy is on the rarer side as I don’t see it resold anywhere besides Japanese sites funny enough. There’s some cool men’s juicy couture items on Japanese mercari but I don’t know if men’s juicy was honestly that popular !
I’ve seen a good amount of JM clothing on US sites. Mercari, eBay, and believe even Poshmark. Definitely not too common but not too impossible either! I’ve even found some things I really like! 🤭
I’ve never found any!! I love the designs a lot as they’re juicy but also masc which is perfect for me I need to try to find some def on either ebay or Poshmark those Mercari fees are too much to buy a shirt 😭
U.K. centric but there is currently a Penelope Cruz fronted campaign for Emirate Airlines. Nothing against Cruz in general but she is so hilariously disengaged in the commercial that I can’t help but now think negatively about the company she is no doubt being paid a fortune to promote.
Conversely Samuel L Jackson is currently shilling bread of all things and it’s complete randomness and him approaching it with the same gusto as if he was appearing in a Tarantino movie actually tipped me over the edge into actually purchasing a loaf. Give that marketing exec a raise!
Have you ever been put off a product because of its associated celebrity? Have you ever bought a product purely because of its associated celebrity figure?
Not the same as simply endorsing I guess, but I have bought various Martha Stewart branded products.
Anything Martha Stewart x Snoop Dogg is bound to be good, IMO.
their BiC lighters ads are my favorite!!
I totally bought the lighters featuring them in ads.
Conversely I've gone off a celebrity because of something they advertised. I instantly lose respect for anyone pushing online gambling.
In Australia it’s shaq and mark Wahlberg who are the big gambling app sell outs
It's easy money for like 1 days work, that's why a lot of these big stars do these ads.
Pop stars decide to go against their principles and perform private concerts for dictators and murderers like Eastern potentates all the time. And for a movie star and add is even less work because usually the film crew will come to where you are so you didn't even have to travel
Her pet line was crazy nice. I still have several pieces of it, going strong. Bought partly because it was a pretty color scheme but mostly on the strength of the name; was not disappointed.
In a somewhat similar vein, I once bought deodorant because of a Steph Curry ad, I didn’t like actively seek out “steph curry deodorant” I was just in the store and didn’t know which one to pick so I just quickly grabbed the one I’d heard of because of that commercial
Speaking of Nicole, I bought an Omega watch because she was the face of Omega. I also got Chanel No. 5 when she was promoting it around 2005-ish. That Chanel TV ad was so incredible.
I remember that Chanel Ad! It was directed by Baz Luhrman! So good!
I saw him in an ad for an online casino app a couple years ago too. Crazy. He was the only character I could tolerate on Roseanne. He's been a fantastic actor in such a variety of movies. I can't think of one I didn't like. It was mean of him to smoosh frog 'Pete' in Oh, Brother Where Art Thou but it was still a great role in an amazing movie.
So many celebrities shill products clearly for the coin and not because they care. Occasionally, a product they plug ends up being something you use that positively impacts your life. Have any celebrities endorsed products positively impacted your life and what was it?
Mine is the Irina Shayk clear shilling of Alo products in her Harper’s BAZAAR video. I ended up buying most of the line because the products were low cost and surprisingly soy free (which I am very allergic to) and honestly, I have seen a HUGE change in my skin.
Not an endorsement, but Yeezy’s were a huge positive influence. I’d had foot problems from an injury not healing correctly, & had trouble finding shoes that didn’t hurt my feet after walking or running for long periods of time. My wife got me some & they are legit the most comfortable shoes I own. They’re pretty much all I’ll wear anymore
That’s really good to hear! I’ve only heard good things about yeezys
I’ve been a Kanye fan since CD, but i never got into the shoes until a few yrs ago. I wasn’t really a sneaker person tbh. A friend told me to try his out. I mostly do the 350s & Slides. It turned me into a believer on Kanye’s products. He’s one of the few celebs who’s products I’ll buy bc he puts such an emphasis on the quality.
I bought the skims face masks and I love them. I want to the undies/shapewear/loungewear/swim (omg Paris Jackson 😍) but I also don’t want to line Kim’s pockets.
Conversely, Rihanna is a gift and Fenty products are magical.
Kaitlyn Bristowe (from the Bachelorette) did an ad for Thinx (period underwear) on her podcast. I was curious about them so I bought a couple pairs. I ended up absolutely loving them!
I love my Thinx!
Thinx are amazing!
Good American jeans, they actually fit my weird waist proportions 😭
Yes! They look really good too. I also own literally five different colors of the essential tees (both long and short sleeve) and if there were more than five colors I’d buy more. They’re just a good solid shirt that holds its shape in the wash!
Yes!! Their swimsuits are also amazing (especially if you have non-standard proportions). I die a little inside every time someone asks where I got my one piece from but it's worth it honestly.
Not an endorsement, but Kristen Bell & Dax Shepherds Hello Bello brand. My kid was getting weird flaky skin around the band where the diaper went. I switched brands, I tried different creams, I let him go diaper less for long periods, nothing worked. So I tried Hello Bello and boom—gone! Never had a problem with leaks or blowouts with those diapers either!
They are so comfortable that Kanye could commit war crimes & id keep wearing them😂
I'm liking the colors on these. Good looking shirt. Do you know if they run TTS?
Most likely yes. These are a bit baggy too so they should be fine. I'm thinking of getting the green. What color is your fav
I'm liking the black and beige colors. Black especially since it kind of has that "stonewash" look to it lol

Sup guys,
Amiri Hollywood T-shirts for $33 in good quality from Hitojiang. These were requested on the community yesterday and Jiang was able to create a link in a very short period of time.
There are various other color options but I really like the beige and green one. Perhaps will order one for myself too.
Good luck 🤞🏻
The fact that Kendrick allows these narcissistic “haute-couture” luxury fashion brands to co-opt his powerful art to bolster their public image and market their uncreative, fundamentally conservative, lowest common denominator trash is kind of depressing. This commodification of his image and his art feels antithetical to the revolutionary anger that his work often portrays. Sure, he paid tribute to Virgil Abloh, and that was probably the main reason he took part in the fashion show. But - in my opinion - that doesn’t change anything. I understand that this is just how art functions under capitalism, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t frustratingly hypocritical.
Pretty sure it was just to pay tribute to Virgil
True as that may be, I don’t feel that that contests the validity of anything I said. Regardless of Kendrick’s intentions behind taking part in the show, he has still allowed LV to integrate both his image and his art into advertisements for their products, which kind of bums me out. But then again, this phenomenon is nothing new. These sorts of artistic contradictions are seemingly unavoidable when artists and the works they produce are constrained by the demands and desires of late stage capitalist society :(
I mean Kendrick could have easily said no, so implying that he “allows these narcissistic haute couture luxury fashion brands” to interfere with his message is kinda ridiculous.
Maybe this was a lifelong dream or goal for him? Lol in no way does him performing at a LV fashion show diminish his character or impact on the culture.
He even performed N95… “take off all that designer bullshit off and what do you have?”
Of course he could have said no, but by saying yes, he’s allowed his art to be co-opted into Louis Vuitton. I don’t see how that’s ridiculous, it’s just true. The irony in performing N-95 at an LV fashion show is rich, but because that irony has been endorsed by and integrated into LV itself, any point that Kendrick could be making is rendered utterly impotent.
That’s your perspective, and perspective ain’t always facts. Personally, that was one of the best performances I’ve seen by an artist.
He kept his composure throughout his entire set amidst a whole fashion show going on and Naomi Campbell sitting next to him lol. Top Tier breath control considering he performed some of the most complex songs from the album(scheme & cadence wise). He also didn’t change any of his original lyrics to censor himself or appease the brand. I loved the way he placed the “Virgil” in each song not forcing it but feeling it.
And to your last statement “any point that Kendrick could be making is rendered utterly impotent” (great bar btw lol)
But I just think you’re super focused on the major corporation dynamic and less on the actual Art. If you’re open to accepting “any point” then you would. His body language, tone, and mannerisms as he performs says a lot.
I feel you but hey what can we do about that ? Kendrick is not our savior. No one is. Think for yourself and live your life how u want to.
I’m not asking him to be our savior. I just expect more ideological consistency from him as an artist who portrays himself as so convicted about the points his work is making, you know what I’m saying? Just a bit of criticism meant to provoke some conversation, that’s all. Just because we can’t do anything about it doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it.
I get u it was a very pertinent discussion. But for me the nigga said himself in his album don’t trip about me if I do some bullshit sometimes I’m not your savior. I can do wrong like everyone else but one thing I’m gon always choose myself and my family before anyone else. So it’s like alright this move didn’t align with his album for the most part but hey I can’t do nothing about that.
PS: Another way I see that is different between how Kendrick want us to see him and how he move is that in his songs he portray that he is “normal” and has issue like everyone else but in reality his is always detached from the world. U see him rarely and when u see him it’s always in a weird way. He wears the crown of thorns and shit. Like he obviously care about his image but the image doesn’t reflect the music (imo). He always make seem like he is “GOD” or a “savior” for instance. Ever since DAMN he been acting like that. Idk if he do that on purpose but hey idk.
Whereas Cole on the other side his image match his music. In his songs he is relatable and outside with his image it’s the same thing. Lowkey Humble Chill.
Drake in his music he is braggadocios and in real life he is too. Big ass airplane, extravagant class.
So idk maybe it can also be a good subject of discussion. To conclude tbh I don’t really care about all that I love the music and it’s the most important but I just peeped it recently and I was like oh that’s funny.
Cash and dip bro, he got a company to run money helps
lol the sad truth
He is not your savior 🤷🏽♂️
Well aware of that fact. Just criticizing an artist I thought I could expect better from.
What are the best products around owned by a celebrity?
Kay Beauty - love the products. Katrina definitely has established herself as an entrepreneur and built a strong reputation.
Kay Beauty and HRX.
I need to read up about HR’s brand as I hear good things about it. It’s incredible how deeply and passionately Kat is involved with her brand. Would love to see a “making of” type of documentary. Same for Huda. I haven’t used Kay as it is not available where I live but I’ve never heard anyone say negative things about it.
Glad HR and Kat are not merely lending their name to the brand.
Correct but hrx quality is questionable saying this from experience.
Still Kay and HRX and Quench
Oh really? And what’s Quench?
Ditto
