TL;DR Valuable Funko Pops are typically older, limited edition, vaulted, or chase variants. Popular characters and exclusives also tend to increase in value.
Factors Influencing Value
The value of Funko Pops is largely determined by scarcity and desirability. Older Pops that have been "vaulted" (no longer produced) are often more valuable [1:1]. Limited edition releases with a small number of pieces available, such as those marked with numbers like "3400 pcs," can significantly increase the value
[1:1]. Additionally, chase variants, which are rarer versions of standard Pops, are highly sought after
[1:1].
Examples of Valuable Funko Pops
Several specific Funko Pops have been mentioned across discussions as being particularly valuable. For instance, the Bank Robber Joker from "The Dark Knight" is valued at $530 [2:2], while Andy Dwyer as Johnny Karate is noted at $1500
[4:3]. Other notable mentions include Blue Heisenberg from "Breaking Bad" at around $220
[2:1], and various exclusive editions like Ochaco Masked SDCC exclusive at $320
[2:4].
Checking and Tracking Value
To assess the value of Funko Pops, collectors often use resources like hobbydb and eBay's sold listings to track past sales and current market prices [1:2]. The Funko app is frequently criticized for inaccurate pricing
[1:2]. Collectors also share their experiences and insights on forums and social media platforms, providing anecdotal evidence of value fluctuations.
Sentimental vs. Monetary Value
While some collectors prioritize the monetary value of their Funko Pops, others focus on sentimental value. For example, one collector values Shawn Kemp from the Seattle Supersonics for emotional reasons rather than its market value [5:2]. Similarly, another collector treasures Bebop from TMNT as their first Pop, despite its rising value
[5].
In conclusion, the most valuable Funko Pops are typically characterized by their rarity, popularity, and exclusivity. Collectors should consider both market trends and personal significance when evaluating their collections.
Hello everyone, I'm starting to collect Funkos! I have a couple already (see pics) but just want to know what makes a funko pop valuable? I collect sports cards as well, so I don't really have a clue. Anything would help and let me know if any of my pops are worth anything!
Generally the most valuable are older , limited print pops.
Funko tends to rerelease their more modern exclusives , where some of the old ones are “vaulted” and will not print again I guess you could say. (But Funko has been talking about reprinting some older , valuable pops . Which has made people with these pops angry. It will drive the value down)
Popular characters sell out quick, driving the price up.
Anything with a number directly on the box/sticker like “3400 pcs” or something . The smaller the number the more valuable .
Chases - certain pops have a 1 in 6 chance of being different than the standard pop of that same number and series . If you order 1 pop, that has the chance of a chase directly from funko ( or chalice collectibles , GameStop , or places that get exclusives with the vendor stickers . For an example) , you have a 1 in 6 chance of receiving the variation. If you order 6 from a retailer like Funko, or shop that advertises it you are guaranteed a chase . These are more valuable , and can be purchased at a higher price than the standard variations of the same pop. Some chases are glow, some are flocked , some have completely different sculpts.
“Protos” can be valuable for popular characters . They are prototype printings , usually one or two main colours . Used as a test before beginning printing . I believe they used to make 2 whites , then 2 colours of each mold before beginning the actual prints .
For value, Google hobbydb It’s not always accurate but displays past sales from multiple vendors .
It’s also good to check the sold tab on eBay , of the pop you have/are looking for . To see what has been purchased recently and what people are actually paying .
The Funko app pricing is horrendous .
The same thing that makes anything valuable, (scarcity x desirability). Personally, in a small house, I desire space, and funkos take up a lot of it.
nice collectible item
I posted a thread yesterday asking people how big their collections are and I got some pretty high numbers which I found to be interesting. Curious what the numbers look like for some of the high valued pops that people have. I don't think I have anything worth over 30-40 to be honest. You can post what it is with the number or just one or the other whichever you prefer.
Bank robber joker from the dark knight…sitting at $530 🙂
niiiiice!
Mine is the OG Law pop from One Piece
Yoo same!
According to the Funko app it’s Dabi and Armored Titan at $350 each but I don’t think that’s right. Other than that it’s Ochaco Masked SDCC exclusive at $320.
cool!
Probably my black light Carnage sitting at around $200+, methinks?
I haven’t checked in awhile, so it could have changed.
Blue Heisenberg sits at the top for me, at about $220. I also have Jesse and the Crystal Ship sitting at number 2. The rest of my top 10 is Ben Roethlisberger (throwback jersey), The Hardy Boyz (WWE), Dead Gus Fring, 3-Hole Punch Jim Halpert, Scrump (Lilo & Stitch), Steamboat Willie, Scarlet Witch (Age of Ultron), and Scarlet Witch (Civil War).
Omg I want that blue Heisenberg so bad!
Starting off my collection, I've seen some of them go for a lot of money and are super rare, I am interested to hear about everyone's rarest one!
OG Simpsons set.
Got them for $9 each at GameStop 12yrs ago lol still mint, in box.
That is a great set!
Yep. Still the Crown Jewels of my collection.
I’d sell every other Pop I have except those ones.
Alt universe Fry and Leela or the og Simpsons pops.
Alt fry and leela are awesome got to see them in person once years ago at a con and even then they were like 800$ wish I could have gotten them but I was in like 7th grade lmfao (did grab myself a nibbler tho he’s still one of my favorites)
That's my #1 too, got mine remarked too by Bill Morrison. Just found out the next show I'm working in April is gonna have Billy there, so it'll get even better
I have 77 total. I have a pretty bland collection. My most valuable is Agent Dale Cooper at $44.
If you only collect what makes you happy then it probably a pretty good collection.
Marvin the Martian, green sdcc 2017
Literally that's the rarest in my collection as well.
ECCC The Lich from Adventure Time
God I’m looking for that holy grail
My autographed Light Yagami, the OG metallic hair Monkey D. Luffy, and TASM1 Spider-Man are all kinda tied for me
Andy Dwyer chase as Johnny Karate, $1500
Hero Killer Stain $155
Nycc Brook
All 3 migos and Black panther diecast chase
I just got an app that helps me keep track of what I have and was surprised to learn my first pop Bebop from TMNT is pretty valuable. He is one of my favorites but more because he was the first not because of his value. I think quite a few of my favorites Lockjaw and 2nd release of the Thing (always displayed together) arent even that valuable.
My most valuable is Shawn Kemp from the Seattle Supersonics but my favourite pop in my collection is the 756 Miles Morales because of emotional reasons
no, my most expensive is moon knight (266) but my favorite one is ragnarok loki w horns (248)
>moon knight (266)
I really wanted the moon night.
i love him, got him for $30 when i found out oscar isaac was playing him and that's probably my best decision made regarding funkos. i've loved watching his ppg skyrocket these past few weeks, so glad i got him when i did bc i'm not a huge fan of the mr knight pop from the show.
One of my favorites I own is Miles Morales 767 (Bodega Cat Suit) because he literally has Spider-Man the cat on his back. Loved the game, love Miles, love Spider-Man haha
>Miles Morales 767 (Bodega Cat Suit)
it wasnt easy to find a photo of this. I love the hidden things you dont see until you open them up
Oh yeah! Hidden details on the back of pops or anything like that are so much fun
My favorite is tiny Rick but for sentimental reasons and my most valuable is a signed Johnny Lawrence
Nope honestly it one of my least valuable. Doctor Strange #173 collector’s Corp
I have that Punisher…. Somewhere. I think.
Those are such phenomenal pieces. Awesome additions
Super dope 👌🏻
Lazy ass signatures
Wow, I didn't know the spider-man is so expensive now! I have that in a box somewhere. It is not one that I even put out on display.
Hi,
Curious if there is a list of pops out there that is most "valuable" to most "common". I am no re-seller or nothing I'm just curious what kind of pops they are since there are soooo many. Also, what makes them valueable/rare?
Thanks!
Not sure if this helps and you might already know about it but the funko app is a really great resource for new collectors.
Rarity is usually determined by the amount that were made which in turn usually determines value. The fewer that are made the higher the demand and the more people are willing to pay to own one. Pretty basic economics really. Try downloading the Funko app and sorting by value to get an idea of what is rare and valuable
Thank you! Very helpful
Hello All! I'm new here, but I'm looking to offload my entire collection of 130+ Funko Pops. My collection includes commons, exclusives, autographed, and more from a wide variety of pop culture. All Pops are in excellent or very good condition and all have been displayed in protectors and will ship in them as well. Please find below the list with prices and links for pictures. I know the format is a bit wonky but I put them in order by pop culture type, and then took pictures with them in groups of 4. Autographed and 2 packs are pictured by themselves. The prices are negotiable within reason, and I require additional payment for shipping depending on your location. 3% PayPal G&S fee required as well, unless buying $50 or more in Pops. I am also willing to make deals on multiple purchases. Please PM me if you have any questions!
If you took a look, thank you and have a great day!

Very interested in a few of them. Will PM later as I am at work. Just wanted to comment here to follow the rules.
I’ll be waiting to hear from you!
Are you selling individually as well?
Got the Mandalorian for $15 off of Funko, I just remember it sat there for awhile, almost all day, I really wanted Samurai Jack, and missed him, because he sold out immediately. I eventually convinced myself to get the Mandalorian. Now he's worth $175 (more than Samurai Jack) at the moment, crazy.
Same here! So glad I bought Mando that day.
Same bought it day one cause I love all things “bounty hunter”
Was super surprised it didn’t sell out right away either now straight to the moon lol
I really want an IG 11 on speeder bike with the child and two blasters god.....would be so cool
Bought Azula at GameStop for 10 bucks. Now up to 70, don’t know why.
Same, its pretty crazy she’s gone up that much
Trefalgar Law from One Piece
The Hormone Monster.
In real terms, the Creeper or Tenya probably.
Bought Tenya at $9 discounted and PPG says $135, so $125. Creeper at $26 and PPG says $170, so $145.
And then there's PA Vegeta. PPG ssys $2,310. I paid much less than that, much more than a $155 difference. I won't divulge how much. :-)
What are the most valuable Funko Pops
Key Considerations for Valuable Funko Pops:
Rarity: Limited edition or exclusive Pops (e.g., Comic-Con exclusives) tend to be more valuable due to their scarcity.
Condition: The condition of the box and the figure itself significantly affects value. Mint condition items fetch higher prices.
Popularity of the Character: Characters from popular franchises (e.g., Marvel, Star Wars, Disney) often have higher demand and value.
Retired or Vaulted Pops: Funko Pops that are no longer in production can increase in value over time.
Market Trends: Prices can fluctuate based on collector interest, market demand, and trends in pop culture.
Notable High-Value Funko Pops:
Recommendation: If you're looking to invest or collect, focus on limited editions and exclusive releases, and keep them in pristine condition. Regularly check online marketplaces like eBay or dedicated Funko Pop price guides to stay updated on current values.
