TL;DR
Understanding Your Needs
Before diving into specific models or builds, it's crucial to understand what you want from your gaming PC. This includes considering what games you plan to play, the resolution and frame rates you desire, and whether you'll use the PC for other tasks like video editing [1:4]. For instance, if you're aiming to run AAA games with high settings or use realistic shaders in Minecraft, you'll need a powerful GPU and CPU
[2].
Budget Considerations
Your budget is a significant factor in determining the best gaming PC for you. High-end gaming PCs can be very expensive, especially with top-tier components like the RTX 3090ti or AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs [1:1],
[3:2]. However, there are options at various price points, and tools like Logical Increments can help you find balanced builds within your budget
[1:2]. If you're looking for something more affordable, consider second-hand PCs or mini PCs, though they may not offer the same performance as newer models
[5:4].
Building vs. Buying Prebuilt
Deciding whether to build your own PC or buy a prebuilt one is another consideration. Building your own can be cheaper and allows for more customization, but it requires some technical knowledge and comfort with assembling hardware [1:5],
[5:3]. On the other hand, prebuilts are convenient and come ready to use, though they might be more expensive for the same specs
[1:4].
Recommended Components and Builds
For those seeking top performance, components like the RTX 4090 GPU and AMD Ryzen 7950X3D CPU are recommended for high-resolution, high-frame-rate gaming [3:2]. Additionally, systems featuring the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5975WX and 128GB of DDR4 RAM are suggested for users who also require substantial multitasking capabilities
[3:3]. For a balance between performance and cost, the 7800x3d is noted as a strong option for gaming-focused builds
[3:5].

As the title says - Best PC for gaming?
I am looking into buying a PC for gaming as an upgrade to my laptop, so I have something to use mainly for gaming so I can use my laptop for other things without it getting slowed down by the games I currently have on it. Any advice is appreciated.
Check out https://www.logicalincrements.com/ This site provides well balanced builds for every price range, although if you're going for the best and most expensive option don't go for threadripper since it's weaker in games than r5950x
Whatever you're willing to spend man... PC is such a wide array and diversity that there's no 9ne good answer anyone could give
That would depend on what exactly you want to use your computer for (just gaming or other things like video editing for example), your budget, and parts availability. Honestly, I'd recommend doing your research. LinusTechTips and JayzTwoCents are a couple of YouTube channels I'd recommend checking out because they have a lot of good informational videos.

One thing you are bound to encounter is the question of whether to build your own computer or to buy a prebuilt. While I, personally, will only build my own desktops from on, prebuilts have gotten better than they used to be. I find building much more fun and you end up learning a lot in the process. But there are pros and cons for both building and going prebuilt.
How comfortable are you building? Or are you looking to buy prebuilt exclusively? Location and budget?
The best PC for gaming is going to be bleeding edge everything. RTX 3090ti, Whatever the latest Threadripper CPU is and so on. I could build you a system for $10,000+ that would be pretty damn great at gaming.
There is not shortage of high end equipment out there, the only limiting factor on your PC is your budget.
So I am brand new to computer gaming, but I would love a high speed desktop. I would like the best one available. I don ’t really care about the price since I want something that will be able to run any AAA games. Including, I know this may be cringe, Minecraft with all the realistic shaders without it blowing up or revving really loud. If it can do that then I’ll be able to play whatever without having issues. Please give me ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
Right now I have a ROG computer. It’s able to run AAA games but I want to upgrade to a desktop since I’ll be moving into my own place and just would like an actual setup.
Go to newegg and sort by price. Plenty of people ready to take your money.
What’s the best pc I could get for the best gaming experience?
4k 240hz monitor, 7950x3d, RTX 4090
7800x3d for gaming only is better
true, just such a small difference at 4k that why not just go completely absurd on the build with 16 cores because OP clearly has $5k to spend on it.
It depends on the game they trade punches.
AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5975WX, 128GB DDR4, RTX40G.
Depends about your budget.
Get a Mac! /sarcasm
PCs aren’t like consoles, there’s no A or B that can easily be said.
First ask yourself how you want to play: a desk setup, sort of on the go (wherever there’s a desk and power supply) or on the go. The real deal is getting a desktop setup “battlestation” as laptops get loud, overheat and don’t really work as on the go as you’d think - the steamdeck does but is limited.
Next question is what you favor in terms of monitors and what is your budget. These two are related, you gotta be realistic as 4k high fps is going to cost a lot in graphics card and monitor and everything else. So you choose a monitor and build your pc or get a prebuilt based on it and type of games to be played
Cheers
My current comp (surface pro 7) is 6 ish years old and still works really good, but it doesnt run well when I try to play games on it. I'm about to convert my brother's old room into an office/gaming room and I would really like to buy a gaming pc. I would use it for work (I really only use teams app) and for games. Games on Steam, Infinity Nikki, and any other games I get into. I want one with minimum 1TB, but thats about the only thing I know when it comes to specs. Based on what I'll be using the pc for, can you guys tell me what computer you would suggest? Or at least the recommended specs? im very out of my league ;-; I want good graphics and good speed with the ability to handle most games. Budget <2600 idk if thats impossible
**Any monitor suggestions would also be greatly appreciated, ones than run good with the ps5 connected to it too. :DDDD
This one is great: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6617072.p?skuId=6617072&sb_share_source=PDP
I have one of these monitors and it’s been nothing but amazing: https://a.co/d/0YE2Gkz
And this hard drive is great, I also own one: https://a.co/d/6Rmosaq
Thank you!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

$2600 is 5080 systems less than that is 5070ti and 9070xt systems
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3NFmP6/dell-alienware-aw2725df-267-2560-x-1440-360-hz-monitor-aw2725df monitor to go with it top of the line qd oled panel. you can get for about half the price if you go IPS panel instead. but qd oled is one of the best.
Omg thank you I will look into it 🥹🥹🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

Watch some of the millions of tutorial videos on YouTube and build your own rig instead of buying a prebuilt. Apart from the fact that it would be cheaper, it would also be a really fun experience. There's a lot of guides and build suggestions on YouTube for every budget. Good luck and happy birthday.
That would mostly depend on pricing and availability.
What resolution do you want to play at, and what games are you looking to play?
Best quality but below $500
Most GPUs alone cost that much or more. You'll need to increase your budget if you want brand new.
You could definitely find a second-hand PC for that price, but most of the ones in that price range are at least 8 years old already.
Your other option is to go for a mini PC. They perform like laptops but without the screen.
What is your budget and what currency
i need help finding a pc to play games. i know nothing about computer specs, but i want something that will have no problems running games on the highest graphics. if anyone had any recommendations or could help me out please!!! thank you. i don't have a high budget but there's always payment plans. i found one on best buy.. but like i said im not even sure if its good.
I'm going to assume your budget is 650-750$? For not a high budget. Here is how you build it. Go for am4 (just to save some money) Ryzen 5 5500 + rx 9060 xt + 650 watt psu bronze rated +16gb ddr4 + 500gb ssd nvme gen 3 + b550m msi + cheap but branded value case (pcie 3 and pcie 4 in this graphics card don't differ much, just 4.5 percent differ in performance. It's cross checked multiple times by multiple yt sources, don't invest much in ram/storage for now. You can upgrade them within a month anyways, invest most on gpu and cpu along with motherboard.)
What is your budget? "Not a high budget" means different things to different people. What games do you want to play? What resolution 1080p, 1440p, 4k? Stuff like that is a requirement for giving a suggestion.
I was in the same boat not too long ago and know how confusing all the specs can get 😅
If you're looking for something that can run games on high settings without issues but you're also budget-conscious, I’d recommend checking out this PC on Amazon: Skytech Blaze 3.0 – it’s got a Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Solid combo for 1080p or even 1440p gaming on high/ultra settings.
Also, Amazon usually has payment plans if you qualify, which definitely helps.
I have finally decided to level up my gaming experience and invest in a gaming PC this year or early next year. I currently have a very average gaming laptop which does not run shit. I need advice and recommendations from pro gamers about what things you would absolutely NOT compromise on if you were getting a new one?
The only thing I've researched about so far is the refresh rate - and I guess anything 120 hrz or above should be a good rate. Is this accurate? What are the absolute must-haves for a solid gaming PC setup? For those who went with prebuilt, what’s the best brand for quality and longevity? Any recommendations are helpful
This really depends on the game and genre you're looking to progress in.
60fps is absolutely fine for MOBAs and MMOs, but I'd never play below 144 for Counter-Strike, where frames are everything (but I'm willing to play at 1080p).
Also, what is your budget? There's no upper limit on this, but we can help you better if we know around what you can spend.
As a general rule, I'd advise:
the biggest, best monitor that is comfortable for your eyes and seating position
a GPU that can meet the framerate and resolution expectations of the game(s) you play.
a CPU that isn't a bottleneck for that GPU
32gb of RAM
stable, fast internet, wired if possible
a comfortable chair and desk that don't put strain on your back or wrists
Basically any newish desktop PC with monitor is going to be a night and day upgrade over your laptop, so the other factors of "what are you trying to get good at" are more important.
Need a price range. If we are talking best, just get the newest and fastest. What games matters, if it is valorant could probably run on potato. R5 7600 would be enough since most comp game doesnt require 8+ cores
Hot take... "Competitive Gamers" don't actually need an expensive high end computer. Competitive games are best played with minimum resolution and really high fps settings. And these games are specifically optimized to run on anything with a motherboard and a cpu/gpu made 10-20 years ago.
You shouldn't spend more than 200 dollars on your PC.
siege would not run on a PC that cheap
Just go make an esport pc for 500 usd and be happy. Dont overspend on a pc when you only do esports. Get like 5600x and 6750xt call it a day ( depends where u from ) get a good monitor and your set. Gaming laptops is fine too its all just preferences
there is no best gaming pc. there is very good gaming pc's for a budget. that's because this is not about getting the most expensive of a given part, but it is all about balancing things. also very important: do you already have a monitor? there is no point spending loads on a pc that can churn out loads of frames, your monitor can't display. vice versa, there is little point in buying a high end monitor, your pc can't properly utilize.
general rule of thumb:
Hey there! I am looking to get a gaming pc, I currently have a Lenovo All in one desktop computer but it’s crap, can’t run much games and I think it’s time for an upgrade.. any idea what I should get? My budget is 600, is this okay or should I be aiming for 1000?
Do you want to build, or buy a pre-built? For 600, you can put together a very decent rig for light gaming, for example: https://youtu.be/AlZrtlYUGv4
For a pre-built, something like the NZXT starter for $699 (https://www.letsbld.com/starter-series) is not a bad entry-level gaming pc, although upgrading to the starter plus (for 899) is also worth it if you have the budget. The key is the graphics card, 1650 or 1660 are decent entry-level cards. Do not buy any PC with a GT 1030 or 8GB RAM (seems like a lot of sellers are trying to sell those specs for "gaming" which is garbage).
You need to know: mostly (not always) in pc gaming, more money= more power. It depends on your budget or how much money you have saved. 1000 is much much better then 600
It’s for my son he wants to play roblox on max graphic settings and the all in one doesn’t do that it lags on 3
Roblox will definitely run on a 600€ PC. But you need to keep an eye for the future. The investment might safe you couple of years till you need a new pc
A thousand is quite expensive, does it have to be 1000?
No it doesn't! Im more then happy with my 800 build. It just depends on what you plan to do
Do you have any links on where to start? I would ideally want it to be prebuilt
In the range of $1100 ~ $1400 USD you could try to find a prebuilt with a 3070 as it might be the best option for a high end pc with the latest gpu. Anything under 1k I'm not sure, but I have see options for prebuilt with a 2070 or so under 1k
I might have about $1.5k to spend on one. I also am forbidden from building it, because helicopter parents.
Guys he said his parents are stopping him from building his own. In other words they don’t want money spent on something he might screw up on.
Honestly though once you settle on the mother board it’s pretty much follow the manual. The board is going to set all the left and right limits
I got a prebuilt from CyberPower. Good gaming PC but their customer support was useless to me. Had to dig online to find the solution to the stupid updater window that appears and never goes away. (It was in the BIOS under some obscure menus)
Building your own or paying for someone to build your own spec hasn't been good advice for years now if you want value.
Definitely don't listen to those people.
Imo best quality prebuilt is usually going to be MSI, their customer support is fantastic and their GPUs tend to bench at the top of the pack.
Best value will probably be HP, their quality isn't abysmal but there's a lot of drawbacks(Poor cooling, poor customer support, proprietary power supply). Don't expect to upgrade much on one of those. For $1250ish you can usually find a nice i7 11700, 16gb ddr4, 3060 w/ 1tb NVME from them.
Eh? Building your own is absolutely the best value.
Lmao, gonna magically find a gpu at MSRP?
Not anymore its not.
I went with corsaor for their i7200 i9/3080 and have not been disappointed at all
I got a nice one from micro center, def check that place out if you have one near you.
Hello fellow Gamers,
I have been in to games since my childhood. Never had any PC, during engineering bought a potato laptop and now its dilapidated. Mostly I have been playing in mobile. I love Strategy World building, car racing and battle royal kind of games. Now I want to venture in to PC gaming can someone please suggest me a good PC specifications so that I can play latest games at comfortable fps and other important features of games. I can spend up to 1 lakh.
Should I also consider consol. Please suggest.
Can you increase your bughet till 1.25 lakh or 1.5 lakh even better because it would be a huge jump in performance from a 1lakh build. PC is a long term investment so extra 50k wouldn't hurt.
That's extra 50% budget. I agree you'll get better pc but people extend budget by 5-10%, not by that amount.
Also he wants a decent build with comfortable fps, so 1 lakh should be enough.
35 yo here too, living my dream already. Never a better time.
Cool setup.
How's the 8bitdo keyboard? Are the switches hot-swappable?
Keyboard us really good and keys are hot swappable, they are boxed white
Are those Hifiman Edition series headphones?
Yes, and a ATH-R70X beside that.
Don’t buy a console, Buy a pc, Explore different game stores like steam and so on, Will get specs
Can you suggest some custom build shop where I can purchase already assembled unit.
Only advice i can give you is do not buy pre built pcs online from websites, they charge a lot of premium, rather go to an offline store in your state and get the pc built from some local shop (ofc make sure the parts they use are new and they give you a gst bill and sometimes they quote prices without gst and then when the pc is assembled they show bill with gst added)
Is your budget 1L just for the tower or including keyboard, mouse, controller, monitor?
as a fellow 30+ gamer , dont overspend on the PC. Save money for games , don't buy bundle of games at a time. Only buy the game that you are sure of playing. Also it is fine to not complete a game that you bought .
Ok so here is the exact build that i planned. It costs around 1 lakh and 4 thousand. It is pretty solid for gaming at 1440p
Cpu - Ryzen 5 7600 Gpu - Radeon 7800xt Motherboard - MSI b650m Gaming wifi (see the thing with motherboard is that people say you want something capable of handling future cpus too, so called future proofing But i think that a pc is a long term investment anyway, so if you are planning on getting a pc to work atleast 3-5 years you should stick with a motherboard that works just fine with your current cpu, as you should upgrade both your cpu and motherboard after that 5 year period) Either way if you want a better one, you can go with Msi b650m Gaming plus wifi
Power supply - Any 750w power supply, preferrably deepcool, msi or corsair
Storage - 1tb crucial p3 nvme
Ram - 32gb (16x2) Ddr5 6000mhz
Cpu cooler - Deepcool ag400
What is the best pc for gaming
Key Considerations for Choosing the Best Gaming PC:
Graphics Card (GPU): The GPU is crucial for gaming performance. Look for models like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series or AMD Radeon RX 6000 series for high-quality graphics and frame rates.
Processor (CPU): A powerful CPU is essential for gaming. Aim for at least an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5. For high-end gaming, consider an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7.
RAM: At least 16GB of RAM is recommended for modern gaming. If you plan on multitasking or streaming, consider 32GB.
Storage: SSDs (Solid State Drives) provide faster load times compared to HDDs (Hard Disk Drives). A combination of both is ideal—at least a 512GB SSD for your operating system and games, plus additional HDD storage if needed.
Cooling System: Gaming PCs generate heat, so a good cooling system (air or liquid cooling) is important to maintain performance and longevity.
Power Supply (PSU): Ensure the PSU has enough wattage to support your components, typically 600W or more for gaming builds.
Monitor Resolution: Consider the resolution of your monitor. For 1080p gaming, a mid-range GPU will suffice, but for 1440p or 4K, invest in a higher-end GPU.
Recommendations:
Pre-built Option: The Alienware Aurora R14 is a solid choice for a pre-built gaming PC, offering customizable configurations with powerful GPUs and CPUs, excellent cooling, and a sleek design.
Custom Build: If you're comfortable building your own PC, consider a setup with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. This configuration provides excellent performance for most modern games at high settings.
Budget Option: For a more budget-friendly option, look at the HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop with an AMD Ryzen 5 and GTX 1650. It offers decent performance for 1080p gaming without breaking the bank.
Final Tip: Always check for the latest components and reviews, as technology evolves rapidly.
