TL;DR
The Philippines is 12 hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), 13 hours ahead of Central Time, 14 hours ahead of Mountain Time, 15 hours ahead of Pacific Time, 16 hours ahead of Alaska, and 18 hours ahead of Hawaii [2].
Philippines Time Zone
The Philippines operates on a single time zone, which is GMT+8. This means that the local time in the Philippines is eight hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time [3:6]. There are no daylight saving time adjustments, so this difference remains constant throughout the year
[1:1].
Time Differences Across US Time Zones
The time difference between the Philippines and various US time zones varies depending on the specific region:
These differences account for the standard time without considering any daylight saving time changes, which can affect some regions in the US [5].
Considerations for Communication
For individuals managing communication or relationships across these time zones, it is essential to plan interactions around early morning or late evening times to accommodate both parties' schedules [1:2]. Understanding these differences can help schedule meetings or calls effectively, ensuring both parties are available and comfortable with the timing.
6 hours actually, at least right now, unlike the Philippines we use Daylight Saving Time here in Europe.
But I get the feeling dealing with the time difference, had to deal with it myself for years too. And currently also as my wife is in the Philippines at the moment while I'm in the Netherlands. It's hard at time, and you really gotta search your moment of make time around either person's early morning or late evening.
Ah yes, 6hrs. My bad. Yeah, it’s super hard cos we only have weekends to see each other thru video call because of our work. At 10:30PM my time, i have to sleep and sometimes he will go back to where he stay at 10:30 or 11PM, then when I wake up at 5:30AM, it’s his bed time, so we only have time to talk when he wakes up at 1:30PM his time 😔

The standard time and the Filipino time🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
>If you look at the map, some parts of Eastern Mindanao and the Philippine Sea islands are actually closer in longitude to GMT+9, which is the same time zone as Japan and Korea. Meanwhile, Palawan and Western Mindoro feel more like they should be on GMT+7.
Can you show us which map you're referring to?
Geographically iba n dapat sila ng timezone pero they choose to be the same timezone with Hong Kong dahil major trading partner nila.
And thus, same timezone satin
the hongkong thing was an excuse. para kunwari hindi sila bitch ng malaysia
Not only because of Hong Kong but also to align with Malaysia and China
Not practical work hours wise. Hindi naman din tayo ganong kalaki na bansa. but if ever it happens people will complain at start but will just get use to it.
The stupid one is China which uses 1 time zone kahit sobrang laki ng bansa nila.
Only about 6% of China’s population live in the western and central areas. 94% live in the eastern side especially on the major cities which aligns to the +8 timezone.
I work following the US timezone so technically para kong 2 timezones haha.

My stupid brain trying to understand the question yet it pertains the arcade not the following; CDT, EDT, PDT
Timezone is scammy. Used to play a lot also. Then moved to Cow Play, which is even more scammy.
They get pretty bad in terms of layout and quality of machines. Singapore has the worst ones in Asia.
Hopefully they are replaced by real arcades later in time. Bring back 90s arcades. Not these adult gambling centers with pachinko-like games. Always sad to see the Pearl Fishery addicts.
The main life blood of arcades has always been fighting games. Well, you can count in racing sims but still. The boom in console and PC gaming with netplay removes that almost completely. The popularity of mobile games and FPS in pisonet didn't help. Even those old, cheap arcades around neighborhoods aren't thriving anymore.
Timezone is so bad, they charge 70 tickets for a plastic bag now.
So if you have many toys and snacks… you carry them out by hand. Unless you save 70 extra tickets for your bag haha.
Hahahaha. Ang lala

Is this for Philippines?
Its true it happened in 9:30 am here in Philippines GM sprinkler is on stock
I'm on the other side of the world, but I got that right as I was falling asleep.
It’s accurate!!!
acurate, there was a grandmaster at 10:30 australian
Nakakainis. Nakakabastos.
Thinking about them with kindness. Sometimes I wonder how bad with time their mentor or guardian(s) are, or what shit do they struggle with to make it difficult to decide and leave the house on time.
Coz it's a thing. Some people hate being late but the association with time, or the place or people they are about to meet, renders them immobile or frozen or helpless to move enough to be there on time. Minsan naman too burdened sila sa gawaing bahay na di nakakalis on time, and problems like this can't be resolved with simple time management or planning.
So if I have a colleague or friend who is like this, I'd ask them directly what would be the best time to meet them and where, preferably somewhere they are comfortable that also doesn't inconvenience me.
Once in a blue moon, understandable. Kakaibang halimaw din minsan magcommute and magtravel sa Metro Manila
Pero kapag palaging ginagawa and kahit may pa-advance time ka nang ginawa for the person e sobrang late pa din, it just means hindi niya nirerespeto effort and oras mo.
Nakakawalang gana kasama. Ginawang ugali ang pagiging late.
Disrespectful. Di kita pagkakatiwalaan pag lagi kang ganito. I'm giving you something I'm never getting back tapos di mo man lang pahalagahan.
Nakakabastos.
Although "Filipino time" was widely normalized as ginawa na nila itong trait ng karamihan sa mga Pinoy. This shouldn't be normalized in any way not unless there was a really valid reason bakit ka late or di kaya may emergency along the way. This just proves lack of sense of urgency and off course lack of respect sa oras ng ibang tao.
Disiplina lang talaga and kailangan kung ang katwiran lang ng iba is that late nagigising, mabagal kumilos etc. This was not an excuse. It all boils down to self-discipline kasi hinding hindi mag-aadjust ang mundo para lang sa'yo. This was an act of selfishness and lack of empathy.
LOUDER!!!
disrespectful
[deleted]
Don’t adjust your criteria just for the sake of it. First impressions last. Always is.
It's a non-negotiable for you, and you shouldn't feel bad about having that as a requirement. You're entitled to have preferences. Some people can handle that, but some people can't.
Did she even message na she's going to be late?
Because if so, the most annoying thing to me is not even about her being late, it's when she didn't even notify you na she's going to be REALLY late. Not a single call nor text.
That's just very disrespectful.
I came from a family of Military and we value time. Sobrang mahalaga sa bawat member ng family ang oras kaya we barely get late. Siguro once in a year nale-late kami sa events yung isang beses na yun nasiraan kami ng sasakyan.
Mabagal kumilos is not an excuse, kahit sabihin mong wala kang masakyan. Kase alam mo sa sarili mo na mahirap makahanap ng masasakyan kapag aalis ka ng bahay mo so dapat nagbibigay ka ng extra time para don.
Even sa relatives na hindi sumusunod sa oras? kaya talaga we make sure na ang nakalagay sa invitation ay 2 hrs prior sa mismong start ng event kasi I know for sure sakto na yon kasi dun lang sila dadating.
There's no such thing as Filipino Time. There are a lot of missed opportunity dahil jan sa ugaling yan. You people should stop this nonsense kasi kahit saang anggulo mo tignan hindi nakakatuwa ang maging late.
Same OP.
Couldn't agree more. Understandable naman 'pag may nangyari na beyond their control. Sobrang nakakaasar pag ida-dahilan nilang "hala sorry, na-late kasi ng gising"
Kaya nag-set na ako ng boundary ko. Kapag wala sila 5 mins after ng call time, magpo-proceed ako sa lakad or uuwi na lang depende sa mood ko.
It's great that you've set clear boundaries for yourself. It helps to manage expectations and ensure that your time is respected
True this.
I can't help but remember yung mga ni-hire namin na photo/video people for a wedding of our friend. I have nothing against them; this is just about Filipino time talaga.
Yung feeling na ready na yung bride and groom, naka-make up and all na sila, and we're about to go to the location ng shoot, napaghintay pa kami around an hour bago sila dumating. Tapos sasabihin sa amin, sorry po, may preparations lang na ginawa for the shoot today. What?
Kudos pa rin naman sa kanila for their sharing of their talent. Ang sa amin lang, respect the time lang din ng client.
Ayun. Skl.
it's essential for vendors to prioritize timeliness to ensure smooth and efficient events
Agree on OP. Yung Big Boss namin sa company, 60kms from home nya. 30mins before 8am andun na sya.
Filipino time simply proves that most Filipinos are undisciplined on simplest things.
Is the release date based on the eShop region I bought the game with or the actual place I live?
12 hours and 30 minutes from now. Based on the eShop region you bought the game with.
Time to sleep then 🥺😢😭
Same here man. Living in Bali with a US account. High time we get recharged!
I don't want to deal with Tencent's bs so I'm wondering if there will be any problems if I choose USA as my country.
Will it cost connection problems? Will I be able to buy gems?
Im from the Philippines and Im playing in US server. I use local credit card to buy gems. I got no problems so far with connection and payment
The only things might be some bad kings from time to time (as servers are almost on the other side of the planet) and maintenance times will be sometimes strange for you as they are planned for low player numbers based on US standards.
The maintenance works out great for us in Asia. They usually happen around 11pm our time. Quests reset daily at 5pm. Gives you the entire night and the next day to work on them as opposed to US morning time wherein if you are busy that day, you either have to wake up early and bang em out or miss out on the 250/4x100's
I'm an American living in the Philippines.
Magic uses very little data. You can play on a wood pc using your phone as a data hotspot and be just fine. It'll lag a little so I'd still recommend a real broadband service and the game will run flawless even on just the cheapest 3mpbs connection.
I use a prepaid VISA card I got through BPI to buy gems.
I'm from Malaysia. I registered my account and selected Germany as my region since last year when open beta started :)
No problem for in game purchase, but you probably will be paying in USD or Euro
So no issues at all right?
Well, regular issue and shenanigan from WoTC which effects all players.
No special issue due to region differences, that i know of.
Is there any risk of an account being banned for doing this?
what is the time difference between philippines and usa
Key Considerations:
Time Zones: The Philippines operates on Philippine Time (PHT), which is UTC+8. The USA has multiple time zones ranging from UTC-5 (Eastern Standard Time) to UTC-10 (Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time).
Daylight Saving Time: Some regions in the USA observe Daylight Saving Time (DST), which can affect the time difference. During DST, typically from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, clocks are set forward by one hour.
General Time Differences:
Takeaway: Depending on the time of year and the specific U.S. time zone, the time difference can range from 12 to 18 hours. Always check the current local time in both locations for precise planning.
