I play on Xbox because that's the system I like.

It depends on what you're doing, if you were playing tournaments you prolly want it on ps4, but in that case I feel like you'd already know that.

It's such a subjective question as there's no real "meta" about the system besides tournament play and if you aren't entering tournaments that doesn't matter.

I would definitely go with the PS4 version over the PC port because of bigger, lasting and more active player base, tournament standard, less issues and bugs, less cheating, no Denuvo Drm and priority for content and game updates.

With NeverRealm Studios the focus and priority is console and the PC port is handled by a separate small third party development team.

I'd guess PS4 is the most competitive since in the past it jad monthly Tournaments for MKX

I have the game on ps4 and just picked up the ultimate.ate edition for $20 on stadia to play the story and mess around.

I think Playstation is the best bet for you since the d-pad on a Playstation controller is better than Xbox if you use it.

Although I’m on Xbox, any fighting game that’s multiplat will always be best on PlayStation. It’s the legacy console, has the biggest player base and that’s where most of the tournaments are held.

Personally, I use a DS4 for all my fighting games with a couple exceptions (I prefer a fightstick for Soul Calibur, and a GCC for Smash). It’s just what I’m used to and feels more comfortable for me. If you’re used to keyboard and comfortable with it, then I’d say stick to it, but if keyboard isn’t the most natural thing for you to play a fighting game on, then give a standard controller a try.

Switch visually is horrendous. Controlwise the joycons to me are atrocious. And I think only just now did it get the patch to line it up with ps4 and xbox. Many moves were wrong, wrong frame data, some combos wouldnt work outright, etc.

I own it for both PS4 and Switch. So, being able to make a direct comparison, I’d say you should hands down go with Xbox. It’s just a superior experience in every way. The graphics are far better even compared to when Switch is docked. Frame rates are way more inconsistent causing you to drop more combos on Switch. But perhaps the most frustrating part is the Switch’s tendency to drop internet connection during pretty much anything you’re doing of importance.

With that said, I don’t regret owning both. Like you, I have way more friends with Switch and it’s great to be able to play with them. I also sit on the subway quite a lot and it’s nice to have for that. But you absolutely need a pro controller. Joy cons are terrible for this game as previously mentioned. At the end of the day, if you can afford both versions, just do that. You can play seriously on Xbox and have your Switch on auto-pilot grinding out towers while you’re playing that. Otherwise, Xbox all the way.

My advice is to just get the game on the system that most of your friends are on. That way you could play with them.

Switch version lags behind on updates, isn't truly portable due to always online nature of MK11, and graphically far behind console/PC.

Yes and id go with the Xbox version over the PC port due to the bigger player base/community, priority for updates and content, less bugs and issues and no hacked leader boards etc.

the game is still worth it even months after its release. MK11 is my first fighting game and i enjoy the game a lot i think you will to.

And as a PC player buy the game on Xbox if you can. the PC port is not that bad but the Xbox version is better.

If you're planning to play online or with friends then yes, absolutely. If i were you i'd get it on Xbox, the population is probably bigger there than on PC.

Get it, it's fun. Get it, they're over, might as well get the latest one. Get it. Or Skullgirls, but Skullgirls is being played exclusively by people who are on a whole other level.

Idk how much it’s going for but Yeah, go ahead. If it’s affordable and doesn’t get in the way of anything you got going then why not. I would still say don’t buy it at full price though. The game is old.

On the plus-side: It’s a fun and pretty easy game and I think you get all the characters + skins with ultimate edition. It was the first fighting game where I learned to play over 5 characters on the roaster. Prob way better if you have friends or family that’ll be willing to play rather than randoms online. They also have a nice casual online mode with towers and co-op “raid” like challenges.

However on the downsides: Game is old and the online experience might be slow from less players. Might also be hard for new players to hop on because now the players who stayed are the ones who REALLY play the game. The co-op raid tower also takes a long time to matchmake because again - people rarely play it.

I personally haven’t been on in a few years so, dunno if it’s gotten better or worse since I left. I used to love playing Rain though. Such a fun character.

Yes, it's the best MK I've played so far. The different play styles will keep you going and there's still an online competitive scene going (with a bunch of Scorpions but that's fine)

Great Ingenuity, love the continued support despite fan harassment, and glad to see the longevity and popularity of characters grow and spread. A lot less danger though, there are times I feel like I’m watching a Street Fighter story until someone dies. Hope to get back to that someday.

MK1 is trash.

It's lost its edge. Far removed from what it was originally conceived as. The modern NRS developers only understand it at face value, and so modern fans only understand it the same way.

Mk11 + mk1 story sucked. I'm sick of all this multi-verse crap. Old-school MK lore is the best. Mk9 + mkx is where it died
