General Exercise and Fitness Practices
K-pop idols often maintain their fitness through a combination of dance practice, additional exercise routines, and diet. Dance practice alone provides significant cardio, but many idols supplement this with other forms of exercise to build muscle and increase stamina [1:3]. Pilates is popular among female idols for its core-strengthening benefits
[1:1], while weight training is used to shape the body and balance out the effects of extensive cardio from dancing
[1:5].
Specific Idol Workouts
Some idols have shared specific workout routines. For instance, Jungkook from BTS has a routine that includes squats, lunges, planks, and burpees, which he reportedly does upon waking up [2:1]. Another example is Wonho, known for his intense workouts, although his regimen may be more suited for those looking to build significant muscle mass
[1:4]. Additionally, Johnny from NCT has shared a one-hour workout session available on Vlive
[5:2].
Diet and Nutrition
Idols often follow strict diets, particularly during promotion periods. These diets are usually designed to complement their exercise routines and help maintain their physique [1:2]. High-protein foods like chicken breast are commonly consumed to support muscle growth
[2:6]. However, it's important to note that some idols may engage in extreme dieting practices, which can be unhealthy
[2:2].
Stamina and Performance Enhancement
To sustain high-energy performances, idols work on building their stamina through both dance practice and targeted exercises. Le Sserafim, for example, has shared a workout routine aimed at enhancing stamina for better dance performance [3:1]. Despite demanding schedules, idols manage to perform energetically, partly due to their youth and adaptation to rigorous routines
[4:2].
Considerations for Fans
While it's tempting to emulate idol workouts, it's crucial to remember that these routines are often tailored by personal trainers to fit the idols' specific needs and body types [5:3]. Fans looking to adopt similar routines should consider their own fitness levels and consult with professionals if possible. It's also essential to focus on healthy habits and self-love, rather than striving for an unrealistic body image
[2:7].
Is it a combination of natural metabolism, diet and dancing? Any idols who eat A LOT but still remain slim?
I've heard some idols mention they exercise quite a bit, especially to increase their stamina so they can perform better without getting exhausted. Many also mention dieting and being put on healthy meal plans to prepare for comebacks and tours and stuff.
Depends. Their practice is usually enough to maintain their bodies. And a lot of them diet during promotions.
Many idols gym or do pilates . They also workout to increase stamina for tours and stuff .
Everyone's body is different so people do different things.
They're young and they dance a lot so many might not do much else. Some do a lot though. Monsta X Shownu works out a lot but Wonho is really known for intense workouts. And yeah, they eat a lot too. Monsta X Kbobstar
Love how you linked just Wonho because he is so self-explanatory. Whole mood!!
Yes they do, the thing is about dancing in the long term it will be just cardio but they won't build or shape muscles from it. So they need to balance it out with some weight training to shape their body. I'll link you an interesting video where seventeen, nuest, and BTOB's trainers talked about idol exercises
I also want to add idols who eat a lot but still have a great body. Seventeen woozi eats a lot (he's a rice lover and can eat 2-3 bowls of rice in one sitting, he also eats ramyeon with rice, and he drinks cola most of the time) but he doesn't gain weight easily and also the trainers, seventeen members and even monsta x members compliments his abs saying he has the best abs in seventeen.
I will never forget that one of the Monsta X members (forgot who sorry) said Woozi's looked like a dragonball character in terms of muscle.
It probably depends on the idol.
I know a lot of female idols do pilates
What kind of exercises and eating habits do male kpop idols typically do? I’d like to get the slim body that a lot of kpop idols have, while also having a bit of muscle as well. Jungkook in the picture below is a good example of what I would like to look like
https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-b4122fb91469ec0e4da1c2f05e183ace-lq
There is a lot of disordered and extreme dieting in kpop so I'd caution anyone on following what a kpop idol does. I'd suggest looking at Allblanc. They have different guys with different body types, but give pretty solid workouts and advice.
Here’s my comment on someone asking about Wonho’s workout and diet plans and I linked several videos to his YouTube!!
edit: Definitely didn’t read past the first sentence, my bad lol
I’m a huge fan of Wonho!! His body type might be a bit too buff for what I’m trying to achieve though, but I’ll definitely check it out!
Eat a lot of protein. Chicken breast has a lot of it. I remember SVT Mingyu buying a blender for his chicken breasts. link
mingyu why 😭
The body goal you have sounds very specific. I have to warn you that you have a certain body type and bone structure you cannot change.
Having goals of losing a bit of weight or putting on a bit of muscle is not a bad thing, but try not to lose yourself in details (wanting slimmer ankles, slimmer hips...). That's exactly how things like anorexia start.
Good luck with your workout and diet and remember to love yourself no matter what you look like!
Apparently, this is Jungkook's exact exercise routine, as given by himself: “When you wake up, do 100 squats, then inmediately move into 30 repeats of an ab workout, then lunges, 2 sets x 20 lunges, 1 minute plank, 1 minute on each left and right side and 15x burp test."
I want to the know what exercise routines the idols follow to better my dancing skills.
I know Le Sserafim shared their workout routine, it builds stamina I heard which is helpful for dancing.
A lot of other Kpop idols and groups have also probbaly shared their workout routines if you google it.
I know Le Sserafim shared their workout routine
I've seen a very fit dancer on Youtube who tried to follow it for a week and she thought it was hell, so I don't think it's a good one to start lol.
Thank you for the info.
Exercise as in to get fit? Or lessons they do to improve their dancing?
Lessons they do to improve dancing while getting fit
if u r looking for exercise to get fit, rm posts his workout routine every 2 days (tho they look like hell)
Thank you. I will check it out
SOLAR has posted some workouts on her own youtube channel, I think they're called 'Get fit with Solar' or smth along those lines
That is cool. Thank you, will check it out
Never danced, in fact I can hardly walk. Let me share my exercise routine so you can take notes.
Please tell me any and all results you get from this routine
Damn that is a solid list. Unfortunately I have been doing it for a long time and didn't work for me xD
He's already pretty jacked, have you seen his chest 😭

I’ma keep it a buck. Being young is king. Back in my teens and early 20s, I felt damn near invincible. I could pull an all nighter, crash for a quick nap, and still hit the gym in the afternoon without feeling the slightest bit groggy.
Most idols debut in their teens and they are relatively fit with all the practice hours they went through during their trainee days. I’m sure they have way more energy and stamina than an average joe in their late 20s and 30s.
I semi agree. I was eating and sleeping terribly throughout those years and was functional, but tbf I was a college student who had to simply show up to class or my internship. Idols have a much more hectic schedule than me.
It varies from person to person, of course, but humans are incredibly good at adapting to new settings and environments over time. Idol schedules might look impossibly demanding to us, but their bodies have likely adjusted to that lifestyle in a way that lets them function at a level most of us couldn’t sustain.
I know what you mean. When I was in my early twenties I used to work a 10 hour shift in a restaurant, finish at 11, go to the local nightclub until 3 & then go to work the next day at 12. It would kill me now but back then I didn't think anything of it.
Yep, and a lot of the severe side effects likely won't show up in a big way until mid 30's or so - wrecked joints, bone density, heart health, stuff like that.
As others have said already some companies freely give their idols lots of coffee/caffeine/etc. to keep them busy. Same with yup, IV drips at the hospital/anywhere.
How they perform the choreos at a high level while under lots of stress and little sleep (especially when jetlagged or traveling around the world) basically has to do with what's called performance-enhancing D R U G S (PEDs, a la Olympics, or any top-level sport/activity/etc.). Or "health supplements" if you want to do some high-context culture/implicit communication/indirect expressions/etc. stuff about the terminology.
And in idol survival shows or documentaries they will also directly show you that oftentimes if the idol is having troubles with their back, waist, or anything, they can and will get injections/booster shots/etc. on the spot before their concerts or major performances and so forth.
In savage idol survival shows like Starlight Boys, you will see them breathe through oxygen masks/tanks and so forth, lol, can't believe that show had so much potential with POLARIX but ya, they weren't even allowed to properly debut despite going through all that (nonstop dancing, some people nearly passed out).
Stimulants are also prescribed by doctors to some idols/people/et cetera, and it gets passed around (id est people who don't medically need it are sold/given/etc. these medicinal/chemical/etc. stuff). And yes, I know about BoA and 2NE1 Bom's smuggling situations with their prescriptions and so on.
So what this means is that some of them get Vyvanse (the generic versions have been out since like 2023 or so) for the somewhat long-lasting effect. Other times, they get legal speed (this is why pop that Addy/etc. is such a common phrase in music), so no XR or extended release versions, just straight focus/etc. for that precise dancing stuff.
That's why you'll see some idols be jittery/etc. on the stage sometimes since they took too much or need to visit the StopSpeeding subreddit. Anyway, the companies know this and sometimes even encourage it as part of the career, like they have dedicated fixers/suppliers/etc. if some of them are not able to get those PEDs legally prescribed.
So that's why it seems humanly impossible to perform like that for weeks on end (especially during their debut or promotions, it's like over a whole month of nonstop events, though ya thankfully after a while they only promote for like 1 or 2 weeks instead), because it is, lol, as they get the help of Big Pharma/etc. to keep things churning for the fans/businesses/etc.
Idols also eat quite a lot despite the deficits, but it's hard to explain, just read my comments below as I point out some stuff in detail.
But ya long story short, the idols practice nonstop and so inevitably they eat snacks every now and then, like calorie-dense food or drinks, and so this helps maintain their energy/performance/etc.

Thank you for the honest take. This is very informative.
I mean sometimes they can’t. Frankly I think that’s at least part of why I’ve seen some groups or idols get accused of being “lazy performers”. Especially as they’re getting older but they’ve been tasked with being on the road for months while performing multiple times a week on tour.
There's a reason why the iced americano is one of the most popular drinks among idols lmao
caffeine and iv drips
Does anyone here knows of any workouts from any kpop idol(s)?
And I mean workouts indeed, not just one or two separate exercises they do and then call it a "workout" because for some reason they don't want their fans to know how they exercise.
I'm asking this to see if I could join both my learning korean and liking kpop to will myself to go back to exercising, and doing this by linking said activity to the results achieved by some idol(s).
I'm specially interested to know what was (ex?)Monsta X's Wonho's workout plan because those are some nice body goals to have, since most idols(specially female ones) seem to focus more on "just toning" and getting thin while he focused on actually building muscle and strength.
But at this point any workout is a good start, so...got any?
If you're interested, Johnny has this one hour workout vlive with Yuta and Taeyong.
Nice, an idol working as a trainer xD
I think it's because most of them use some kind of personal trainer, so the routine itself is not free and also they're highly personalized based on their body type and needs .
If a minute is too much, start with 30 seconds. Work on proper push-up form, don't do modified. If you can't do a regular, good-form pushup then work on inclined pushups. Start doing wall pushups and then lower yourself once you think that the reps are too easy for you
If you have some dumbbells, implement them into your squats and lunges. You can also add dumbbell overhead extensions to work on your triceps (and do some tricep dips).
Do a set of warm-ups first
Strength
Endurance
1 minute high knees
1 minute butt kicks
30 seconds skips
20x burpees
1 minute mountain climbers
1 minute jumping jacks
More Core Work
Cooldown
I use one that is supposed to be Jungkook’s :) I lost the source but I found it on a translation account on twt a few months ago!
-20 squats -20 pushups -20 jump squats -20 pike push ups -10 planks -20 mountain climbers -15 burpees -20 crunches -20 leg raises -20 superman’s exercises
I heard almost every trainee trains at least 8-10 hours a day even if they are students. I see that the trainees who have chosen for the debut work that hard for their upcoming debut or the new trainees should work that hard so they can show their improvements but do long-term trainees work at least 10 hours a day too or after they prove themselves they have more relaxed training schedule till the debut team chosen? I mean all Blackpink members trained longer than 4 years, Everglow Aisha trained 11 years, Jihyo trained for 10 years, Yeonjun and Chaeryeong trained for 5 years, Seulgi and BangChan trained for 7 years, etc. and I can't understand how could they work so hard at their early teen years and continue this till their debut.
I spent my middle school and high school years in a highly competitive marching band. Practice would go from official full band practice to sectional practice. To sometimes just some of us practicing more. During on season I had maybe one day to myself. I was either in school or at practice pretty much. And to be honest, that was my favorite time. Days off not practicing or competing felt weird.
Some people like to work if they enjoy what they are doing enough. I worked 60 hour work weeks at an amusement park and still spent half my non sleeping free time there. But I work 35 hours a week now at a job I tolerate and wish I could quit everything.
I completely get what you mean.
I worked 70+ hours a week at a place I loved. The people, my coworkers, the environment, the city and guess what, I still hung out there during my off day lol or basically just lurked nearby. The schedule was 2 weeks straight of work, followed by 1 off day, followed by 2 more weeks.
Then I moved to a different city that I hated, and the people I didn't click, the environment was gloomier, I worked 40 hours give or take with no more night shifts and i really just counted down the days of each week and it felt like such a drag.
I can see if the idols love what they do, are surrounded by good friends they made that they become motivated to train and work hard
Honestly, it may sound weird, but as someone who had friends/family into sports during school, it never really struck me as much different then that
I know half a dozen people who would go to school and every day after school practice for hours until it was late, do their homework at night and then repeat. With added practice/games on weekends taking up time there.
Kpop feels similar to those really dedicated "career bound" athletes like that tbh. Which would make sense, since they're essentially the same thing
EDIT: So checking my JYP boys timeline out of the trainees whos info we know (not counting boy story), it seems like the spread of ages they joined the company at is as follows
>12: 2 trainees
>
>13: 6 trainees
>
>14: 5 trainees
>
>15: 8 trainees
>
>16: 13 trainees
>
>17: 24 trainees
>
>18: 10 trainees
>
>19: 3 trainees
>
>20: 3 trainees
>
>21: 2 trainees
>
>22: 1 trainees
So, at least wit the case study of JYP boys, its really rare for trainees to not be high school aged, which is a generally really normal age for kids to get hardcore into a physical career path and devote a lot of time training to!
Wait that carrd was so interesting to read- do you know if there’s anything similar for other companies?
I don’t think so, since I made this one myself!
I can only answered from what I saw in YG Treasure Box and some comments from members and such.
YG trainees train for 12 hours a day (I think it's 10 - 10) for the ones without schools. So if you have schools you would come in after schools or maybe a bit before depending on the schedule. Like Doyoung's shool mate shared that he didn't have lunch at his middle school much since he had to take off to train often. But you would see Treasure C came in with school uniform at the beginning of YGTB. So, for the young ones, they would have school first and whatever time they have left they finish the day with training. I think you can skip practice if there is something important like exams at school. One time they showed Yedam only got 1 hr of practice with his group before a big performance because he had school exams (he took his school time very seriously and usually did good at school). I think the only problem when you skipped practice is that you may not do well at monthly evaluation and got kick out. It's more discipline than anything else.
Top trainees like Treasure A were practically live and breath at YG. They stay at YG dorms, got free food and just practiced. Most of them either finished high school already or dropped off or just took GED (except for Yedam and Doyoung). For Treasure J, I think they took Shinkansen to Tokyo every weekend until they are done with schooling. Then they moved into YG dorm to train full time. It could be a pretty stressful life though not gonna lie. You put all your dream in this one shot and not everyone can make it.
For the ones that start training really young, it's probably more like those train for competitive sports, every evenings like clock work. One of my old friend used to do like a county level swimming competition and she had to get up every morning to train and same for the evening for like 1-2 years. I guess it's the same kind of deal.
From 7th grade to 11th grade (age 12 to 17) I had either Soccer practice, basketball practice, game, tournament, etc every single day. I played AAU basketball, rec basketball, travel soccer, and I was also on the high school equestrian team. All of this while I was taking AP/GT classes.
Professional athletes had hours and hours of practice each day for most of their childhoods as well.
If it's something you enjoy it's not unrealistic. It's not exactly easy, but it's also not for everyone.
>Professional athletes had hours and hours of practice each day for most of their childhoods as well.
>
>If it's something you enjoy it's not unrealistic. It's not exactly easy, but it's also not for everyone.
I'm not an athlete or a performer myself, but this is exactly how I imagine what it's like. :)
It's a very similar schedule to a kid athlete tbh.
I was a competitive swimmer from age 10 to 17 when I graduated high school. We were on a special program and there are a lot of similarities. I had 0 chance of ever making it professional after getting very badly injured when I was 13 and I still kept up with the training anyway because I loved it.
Our daily routine was something like:
No holiday break, we had swim camp which was basically our everyday routine on steroids. A controlled diet and frequent weigh-in.
Of course, there are times where you're like "why am I doing this?" but if you still find a reason you keep going, because at the end of the day it's your passion. So it's very easy to make a parallel with kpop trainees and view the whole training process the same way people train to become professional athletes.
I wanted to create a post where we could share k-pop related habits or routines when exercising. I'm the type of person that needs some visual distraction (listening to the music is not enough!) so I have a few go-to choices apart from watching mvs (which I found can get repetitive over time)
What are some of yours?
I don't know how is this related to your post, actor and singer Kim Jong Kook has a Youtube channel where he invites idols and other celebrities to do workouts with him.
i just run a 3~5k while singing my kpop playlist (well... whispering hahah i dont wanna bother people) pretending im an idol. singing while running was hard at first but after a month of doing that regularly i can literally feel my lungs open up. definitely made me wonder what on earth are these idols' workout routine to be able to sing and dance at the same time
I don’t know how they find the strength! I was watching a live stage of Everybody by SHINee, and that choreography is a whole work out while singing live.
I've noticed several videos where they complain about weight and it's only gaining at most 8 kg. I was watching Jimin and JK's show "Are You Sure?" and Suga was complaining about gaining 4 kg and needing to go to the gym.
Then I was watching Jungkook's series "I Am Still>The Original" and he was saying he had a potbelly during the filming of the 3D MV, which was completely untrue.
Suga even tried to do intermittent fasting during Bon Voyage Season 4.
To me, their focus on their weight is unhealthy. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or because they are in the K-Pop machine. It just worries me a bit.
ETA: In their shows, they excessively eat. I wonder if their metabolism is higher.
They've also mentioned not eating some days.
I would say it ’s a cultural thing but also I recognize the fact that they’re very conscious of the fact that millions of eyes are on them, they seem to be at their most extreme right before a shoot or comeback. I can understand wanting to nitpick every aspect of yourself with that much weight on you shoulders putting yourself out there every day.
I’d like to add in that their schedules were insane during trainee days and they were poor af. So they were not only worried about their physical appearance but probably exhausted too. Then after that they were having like 2-3 comebacks per year. That on top of Kcon, award shows, RUN BTS, interviews, and even more appearances once they became global icons; I wouldn’t be surprised if there were times if they just didn’t have time to eat. I can’t imagine schedules like that would promote healthy eating habits. Especially if you already have an issue with food and body image.
People are skirting around it in the comments, but Jimin and Yoongi seem(ed) to have outright BDD/ED, if not tendencies. They’ve been severely and chronically underweight in the past, while the others head healthier weight/size to height proportions so it wasn’t company imposed. That’s clear from their documentaries and lives and social media content they’ve produced and all the traces of comments they’ve left behind about their body and weight.
Jungkook was like that too but to a lesser degree, although he has moved beyond a fixation on being skinny to having washboard abs (at least during promo periods) as the standard regardless of his overall size.
The others seem to have a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. I hope bangtan can be healthy weights for men of their ages and heights, be that as bufftan or slim but no six pack during promo tan and that fans won’t smash keyboards in anger about it bc they can no longer thirst over seeing a flash of their abs (the simultaneous sexualisation and infantilisation in kpop fandoms is gross, but no one’s ready for that convo either).
Yeah, as someone recovering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder, I see a huge amount of tells in Jimin and Yoongi both. I think it's stuff you don't really notice unless you already have super disordered eating or have been around someone who has. To me, as someone in recovery for it, it feels glaringly obvious from things they are constantly doing/saying/eating/talking about. Like you said, it's easy to see in all the traces from their lives, and I don't think I'm projecting - my whole family works in mental health, so I think I'm just used to kind of picking up on small details and being like "huh" until it paints a full picture. We've had 12 years (debut-era fan here 🙋🏻) and the picture is definitely clear by now.
All of them looked starved at the beginning of their career. They wear ridiculously large clothes so it hides how frail they actually are during promo season. Jimin and Yoongi stick out more but JK and Tae aren't far behind. Hobi is glaringly stick skinny still. Joon had been the only one to almost look healthy next to them but then I think of how skinny he looked during Butter (they all did) and it was almost quite gross to see grown adult men looking so emaciated. Jin has also been emaciated up until about 2022.
I hate commenting on people's weights and looks and I've just done that; they are definitely a symptom of their environment which is fixated on looks and looks alone and the dynamics in Korean culture are all about superficiality which is unhealthy at best. Can't comment on others culture but woefully grateful that mine isn't.
It would be good to see them as adult males for once.
The fixation on weight in Korea should be called out but there's something weird about you saying their looks were gross to you. That's bodyshaming. And I think a reminder needs to be said that making comments like this about other people's weight because it doesn't fit your standard isn't helpful at all. It's quire the opposite. Or saying you want to see them as adult males? What's the correlation between their weight and you seeing them as adults? Regardless of their appearance they're adult males. I think there is a way to call out unhealthy habits resulting from a cultural mindset without making questionable comments that lean into another problematic rhetoric. But in this case, all your mentions of their appearance leans into questionable perception, from the gross mention to placing your standard of what an adult male should look like on them.
I think the early years was v much imposed by the company. They’ve said that they pushed back on the restrictive diet and I think we could see it to a degree as the others put in a bit more meat on their frames. However, it’s patently clear that Jimin and Yoongi continued with drastic diets after the company stopped imposing it on them.
With men, some take longer to fill out their frame (I think Hobi, V, Jin) and some find it harder to put weight on (I think Hobi and Jin). Their weights didn’t yo yo as much and though they were def underweight, it wasn’t to the extent that Yoongi and Jimin were and for as long. I was kinda surprised to see Joon go on a cut in the months before his enlistment, but he seems to prioritise training and likely nutrition as a result bc his gains aren’t possible otherwise. I think the kpop guys who are into weight training have a healthier mindset to nutrition + body image.
Fixated on looks, except it gets to a point where it doesn't look good at all. And it's even worse for the girls.
Ugh, yes! The infantilisation is extremely cringy, and it's so obvious that it makes them uncomfortable now. Back at the beginning, it seemed they had more fun catering. They poked a bit of fun of the whole concept. But they're grown adults now,and some fans seem to think that they're pre-teens still. Can you imagine begging a 30 year old Kim Namjoon to do aegyo? It makes me want to die of second-hand embarrassment. I really don't want our fandom to act like that when they return.
Same. They clearly HATE doing lives and jungkook is the only one that indulges fans by doing them. Every time Yoongi and Namjoon come back, they’re always like ‘F*** this, I can’t stand it’ and don’t come back for a while like they’re genuinely embarrassed about a contingent of the fandom. Jin, Hobi, V and Jimin don’t even bother doing lives (V’s 20 second music jams don’t count) unless they’re promoting something.
The infantilisation comes in many forms though. I personally think everyone overreacted to the Yoongi DUI story, but not exclusively that (it’s just a recent example) as I find people overreact to these kinds of matters in general. There’s a tendency towards being uber-protective of them as if they need coddling (like the whole James Corden thing)… it sort of fuels the kpop fandom dynamic of extreme criticism and extreme coddling. Just be normal, please 🫠
I also find it funny anytime there’s “beef” with other fandoms because chances are that bangtan respect them if not are on friendly terms with those groups… they know EVERYONE in the industry and have friendships we don’t even know about. Plus, the dating rumours and how people literally end up stalking any girl associated with them and leaving scathing comments.
Idk if i can elaborate a lot lol, but basically when you dance the balance you have within your body is obviously very important, and if you suddenly gain weight you’ll have to retrain the way you do certain movements because your balance can change. So it is likely easier to just maintain the weight you have to prevent any drastic differences. bts choreo is also very challenging so any added weight could affect their movements, speed, stamina etc.
Also (speaking from experience) even the slightest amount of weight fluctuation can affect the way you dance, which obviously for idols is very important. This might also be a reason for why they are so strict with diets and such, especially when they have a comeback or performances.
#10 and #11 are automatic rejection to be an idol
/uj
#11 got me thinking of the kpop idol who keep replying “ah jinjayyo?” (ah really) to his fan who skipped work for him and spent thousands on merchandise just to secure a fanmeeting spot. 😭
Single- you better not have a past relationship
Good visual/singing/dancing/humor (under rare cases all of them)
Better not have a school bullying record
Good at Tictok dance challenges (even better if you can follow the trends)
Bow 90 degree to sunbaenims or be ready for controversies🔪🔪
Don't even look at opp. gender for more than 5 secs (or else a new ship will start sailing🚢)
Know all latest releases of sunbaenims or be ready for public apology
Be active on SNS or ppl will start planning your grp disbandment
Aspire to be like JY papi or else you will be transported to Lily's basement
Spread love among your groupmates (fans love to sail intra-group ships🚢🚢)
Not just latest, old too. Especially if you're from the same company.
22-28 : They mean months right?
Nah, that's way to old. It should be days
noooooo, it is years but they forgot to add the - before it.
between ages 22 and 28??? FAKE NEWS
22 is already too haggy
uj/ they’re only accepting from 2008😔😭😭
being an idol is a job n its not a normal one!! their schedules aren’t like avg people with 9-5s who clock in and out. performances, rehearsals, travel, recordings, and content filming can take hours. that doesn’t mean idols can’t be overworked, because they definitely can and companies should take better care of them. but you can’t compare being an idol to a normal 9–5. some people think idols just train for a couple hours a day. no 😭 training 4–8 hours a day is normal for them. it’s not just about being overworked either. their bodies are constantly under pressure from intense choreos, performances, and promotions. injuries and getting sick happen, and that doesn’t automatically mean the company is abusing them. this is just the reality of the job!!
Also let's add the fact that most of idols have another job outside of being idols. We always have in mind the big idols, but most of them can't even pay back debts and need to find other way to do it. I remember a Crayon Pop member explaining that at some point they had to pay themselves for some group activities. I wanted to add this because some people always have this idea of "but nugu don't always have things to do" but in reality they still have other things to do since they LOOSE money by being idols :/
Not only that, but unfortunately, their job also has an age cap, so getting as much done as soon and as often as possible is a top priority for these companies. I'm sure there are exceptions, but there's a reason the younger groups are insanely active 24/7.
i've always thought idol promoting schedules are insane, specifically when it comes to music shows, like imagine having to wake up at like 3 am to record a performance for some trashy music show that lasts about three minutes. and afaik, they do multiple takes but the broadcast doesn't even include their live voices!
What workout routine do kpop idols follow
Key Considerations for K-Pop Idol Workout Routines:
Variety of Exercises: K-Pop idols typically engage in a mix of cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises. This includes dance practice, which serves as both a workout and performance preparation.
Dance Practice: Dance is a core component of their training. Idols often practice for several hours a day, which helps with endurance, coordination, and overall fitness.
Strength Training: Many idols incorporate weight training to build muscle and improve their physique. This can include bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, and free weights.
Cardio Workouts: High-intensity interval training (HIIT) and other forms of cardio (like running, cycling, or jump rope) are common to enhance stamina and burn fat.
Flexibility and Recovery: Stretching, yoga, or Pilates are often included to improve flexibility and aid recovery, helping to prevent injuries from intense dance routines.
Diet and Nutrition: Alongside their workout routines, idols often follow strict diets to maintain their physique. This typically includes balanced meals with a focus on lean proteins, vegetables, and whole grains.
Recommendation: If you're looking to emulate a K-Pop idol workout routine, consider combining dance classes with strength training and cardio sessions. Aim for at least 5-6 days of varied workouts per week, and don’t forget to include flexibility training to enhance your overall performance and prevent injuries. Always listen to your body and adjust the intensity based on your fitness level.
