TL;DR
Streaming Platforms
Crunchyroll: This is one of the most popular platforms for streaming anime legally. Crunchyroll offers all seasons of Haikyuu with subtitles, and it is a go-to option for many anime fans due to its extensive library and simulcast options for new episodes [2].
Netflix: Depending on your region, Netflix may have several seasons of Haikyuu available. It's worth checking your local Netflix catalog as availability can vary by country [2].
Hulu: Another platform where Haikyuu is available for streaming. Hulu often has partnerships that allow them to host a variety of anime series, including Haikyuu [2].
Considerations for Streaming
When choosing a platform, consider the following:
Additional Tips
If you are traveling or living outside your home country, using a VPN might help you access different regional libraries that have Haikyuu available. However, ensure that using a VPN complies with the terms of service of the streaming platform you choose.

READ THE MANGA DO NOT WATCH THE ANIME
Anime is fine it get you the story it’s just if you expecting animation this ain’t it. It’s like way of the househusband in animation for season 2. Season 1 is ok. I hope if we support the anime season 3 will be given the budget to do actual animation. Manga is better but the anime is a ok introduction to the world
Last episode of s2 was absolutely stunning though.
After 10.5 episodes of PowerPoint presentations
*still hearing shidou's fanmade moans while reading manga*
Blue box
Kuroko's Basketball
I've rewatched Haikyu multiple times and been wondering if there's any other sport animes that can match Haikyu's energy and the excitement you get from watching it. I've tried Kuroko's basketball but it didn't give me the same excitement from watching.
It technically isn't a sport anime, but the vibes from Windbreaker are the closest I've found to Haikyuu.
I tend to think of WB as closer to a sports/SoL series (the sport is just fist fighting) rather than shounen action based on the story and how it's presented.
Currently watching WB rn now that i think about it, the vibes are pretty close as well as the energy
Haikyuu is my favorite of all anime and since WB is so similar it ended really high up in my ranking, too. Hope you're enjoying it! The only two manga I'm reading are Haikyuu and WB and its can say we're in for a treat with next season (whenever it comes out)
Slam Dunk. Still great and an absolute classic. The recent movie is a masterpiece imho.
Run with the wind.
It's only 24 episodes, same studio as Haikyuu and, like Haikyuu, you will end up liking and rooting for all the characters! You are absorbed into the story and just wish the best for them all🙏 Friendship, rivalries, passion, determination, struggles... there's this and more!
Gee thanks will definitely watch it noice
Major! and Ace of Diamond
if you liked kuroko no basuke, id assume youd like blue lock more than haikyuu. that said, haikyuu is probs one of the best sports anime for me; def in the top 3. 🥹
Agreed. I highly suggest Salaryman's club btw, it's a short sports Anime, but I feel like Haikyuu fans would like it.
Haikyuu fans will also adore ao ashi manga, it finished this week and left me crying
They are nothing alike tbh, kuroko is more of a battle shonen than a sports anime. Haikyuu is slower and more focused on the sports aspect of volleyball than the individual battles of kuroko.
Kuroko's has a fast-paced, almost fantasy-like feel, while Haikyuu feels more realistic and emotional. Still, if you enjoy watching a team develop and are drawn to personal stories, it's well worth a watch
Whilst haikyuu is very very good, it isn't similar to kuroko no basket. Blue lock is probably more comparable. That said I've not seen or read blue lock, but my impression is that they're more similar to each other than haikyuu.
That makes more sense to me because I was unable to finish Kuroko and could only handle 1 episode of Blue Lock because I thought it was ridiculous.
Haikyuu, though? Amazing.
compared to kuroko, haikyuu is everest
I agree 1000% with this comment. I tried going the other way around, watching Haikyu first, then kukoro, and had to stop. Kuroko is terrible by comparison, characters just dont compare.
Honestly, same.
I ended up watching Ace of Diamond and Yawamushi Pedal after giving up on Kuroko's Basketball. Much more grounded and focused on character development.
I tried the same order and Kuroko was awful. I stopped watching after the second or third “HOW WERE YOU THERE THE ENTIRE TIME IT’S LIKE YOU’RE INVISIBLE !!!!” Between this and miss “numerical analysis of the male body” and that one guy’s four eyebrows, i couldn’t handle it
I dont think you'll get an unbiased answer on the Haikyuu subreddit.
So with that in mind, ABSOLUTELY. The series is a mix of action, comedy and life lessons. It's become my feel good anime simply because while you have antagonists in the series they aren't enemies or evil, just other people who have a love for volleyball and competition.
1 Hajime no ippo
2 Uma musume pretty Derby
3 Girls & Panzer
4 Megalo Box
5 Initial D
6 Inazuma Eleven
7 Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?
8 Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls
9 Kenkou Zenrakei Suieibu Umishou
10 Keijo!!!!!!!!
Vai do gosto.
Im looking for a new anime to watch, and this one caught my eye. But I'm not fully convinced I'll like it, so, what makes it so good, or what made you get into it?
how human it is. i didnt think a sports ANIME of all things could evoke all the memories and experiences i had as an athlete.. certainly not a volleyball anime at that. while i liked shows like knb, blue lock, aoashi. haikyuu stands alone for me.
Bro I’m rewatching this for like the 4th time now, but the thing is I just finished my senior season of high school hockey. Holy shit is this the best watch through of Haikyuu I’ve ever had. It’s pushing its way to my favorite anime ever at this point tbh
This. Totally this. (Manga only opinion ahead)
I love Haikyuu for how vibrant it is, so full of characters and many of various level of import (relative to the Shoyo or Karasuno) got backstories and growth arcs.
And it really hammers it down that while everyone in the sport strives to win, not winning does not (just) mean a personal failure, but a chance to grow. It sounds awfully like platitude but Haikyuu showed it so nonchalantly that it is endearing and real.
Try watching this baseball anime called "Major" haikyu is my favorite anime but major is a close 2nd
As someone who watches a lot of sports, Haikyuu does a great job in not only showing what makes volleyball intriguing but the sports world as a whole. I've watched Sarah and Adam's reactions on Haikyuu and you can really tell they connect on what it means to be an athlete on either the College level (Adam) or the Olympic level (Sarah). And Haikyuu's way of relating to those who play sports competitively through volleyball itself is regarded highly in the community and anime in general.
You are so right about the couple's reaction i stumbled upon their reaction of S3ep9 after which i continued watching and found out that they haven't completed s4 fully yet but they had me convinced to watch their reaction from the first season. Which I have dutifully doing so 😆.
In my pov watching reactions is like re-watching the anime itself but with bonus and new interpretation, knowledge from the reactors.
No anime has ever gotten me so hype and given me goosebumps as much as haikyuu does
when the mha and jjk endings dropped, everyone was like wow haikyuu really did have the best shonen ending for its characters. it's subjective but honestly it actually is true because the themes also had a well written resolution for haikyuu, not just the characters
I agree, mha and jjk deserved way better. Mha felt rushed until the final arc then he dragged it out, which made no sense. Jjk felt super rushed after the mangaka made the mistake of unaliving the fan-fav character and the end was crap and contradictory. I love how HQ ended and I love that they kept it realistic (for the most part).
The shit is lit and you’ll fuck with it. Enough said.🫡
Fair enough lol 🫡
Netflix (depends on country)
Crunchyroll
It's on crunchyroll & netflix in US
crunchyroll i can’t find it, can you share exact link ? (I’m from india)
I said in US for reason. No idea about india but if you google you should get link to whatever service has the license to legally stream it in your region
Hianime.to
I don’t have licensed streaming in my region either.
everyware i look it says hidive owns the rights but its not on here?
this site/app cant be any worse right?
In the US it's on Crunchyroll.
oh sorry i should have clarified the dub version
What sucks is that HiDive/Sentai have dubbed all that is out so far, it just hasn't been put on the platform. Yet you can find the sub on Crunchyroll which sucks
My advice, buy the Blu-ray releases. They are inexpensive and very high quality. I understand if you are on a budget, though.
Crunchyroll has the sub and Dub versions
THE DUB VERSION
There is literally no legal way to watch it except buying it as its been put in a void somewhere and Crunchyroll only has sub and like Spanish dub, no english dub on Crunchyroll, which makes me sad
In the US, I think:
Sentai Filmworks hold theicense to everything except the last season (movie), but specifically for publishing only - i.e. Blu-ray & DVD.
Crunchyroll/Sony have the licenses for streaming and publishing for the final season (movie).
I think that's how it goes. I'm not sure if Sentai Filmworks remains their initial licenses or not after Crunchyroll/Sony obtained the streaming and final season licenses.
Hello! I was hoping someone would know a website or service where I could watch all four seasons, I had found one a couple years ago but I only got through three seasons before it stopped letting me play the episodes.
Netflix got all seasons...at least in Germany 🤷♂️
ya but they only have german subs
Crunchyroll

None of it is dubbed in English Would not recommend if you are looking for English dub
