What hidden characters, there are a few in the krypt, like Reptile, Kanos corpse, Kenshis corpse, Ermacs corpse and other ninjas that fall off the pit, kollector traded items...

Some devs have hinted a few times a out MK11 having a secret thing - aside the hidden towers. But nobody knows what it is or a single clue about how to unlock it, so...

Are we talking Cameos or like MK 1 Reptile?

It's weird, because Janet is in invasions and she acts essentially the same as Johnny. She isn't that much smaller, either, if at all. I don't think it'd make a whole lot of difference to add her.

I don't think Janet counts, it literally id just an alternative Johnny cage. Madam Bo is odd because gameplay wise.she is half Bo Rai Cho and half turns you into Bo Rai Cho, while personality wise they aren't all that similar aside from being the mentors of the shaolin monk duo, I don't know if we will ever see a time with both Madam Bo and Bo Rai Cho together in the same game. And Floyd is cool, I hope he's a new ninja with light/refraction/rainbow powers and not a rebranding of chameleon, though I wouldn't blame them for it, having two different characters with the same name damn near, the same gimmick, and they look the same is just confusing as shit and Khameleon is more relevant

Bo and floyd instantly became fan favourites while Janet is just kinda chilling in the corner of the kameo screen

But honestly we need someone newcomers in the main roster, no special forces taking half the spots is nice i would like someone new, harumi's alive so i want her for KP3

I just wish Janet was a skin as well as a kameo.

I just think Floyd ended up looking so fuckin cool. With the colors and crystal stuff and his energy.

Would love madame Bo to be playable. There’s a Twitter thread that I see every now and then about how fighting games have no old lady fighters

Skarlet was shown to be there in MK9’s MK1 tournament. We didn’t see her fight but fights did take place off screen.

It depends by which 'timeline' and which media you are refering to. Technically, in the very first MK (1992), the major kharacters who fought into it was Kano, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero (Bi Han), Sonya Blade, Goro (as khampion) and Shang Tsung (as cheater who inserted himself as last challenger despite Goro was the khampion so he had no right to challenge Liu Kang after his victory). Plus, there was some random and not named Outworlders and Earthrealmers as cannon fodder.

Then in the movie and new games, this changed as the developer retroactivelly inserted kharacter in MK tournament even if technically they wasn't created yet. I mean, it's possible they did partecipate, but in the first game they was absent becouse they still wasn't created.

Like Vathek, and Xandras and so on 

I desperately and unironically want Madam Bo as a playable character that somehow incorporates her tea in her moveset. Like Triborg, drinking different teas gives you different stances and abilities. Like green/black/matcha translates to zoning/grappling/rush down or something equally as ridiculous.

I used to think so but maybe the name was a fake out unless they randomly decided to make Bo Rai Cho and Sektor related for some reason. Like it’s possible but…why lol

Unlikely. Game is super heavy datamined since launch. The secret either doesn’t exist or is super minor.

There was a datamined button sequence to be used somewhere in the arcade ladder, but no one ever figured out what it did. There was some suggestion that it was for a secret battle since it was listed around "Scorpion Boss Challenge" and "Reptile Random Reward Modifier", but I always assumed those were unrelated and for the Gauntlet battle with the 10,000,000 point bonus ala MK1 Reptile.

I'm confused by Sareena being mentioned, she's been playable in only one mainline game yet has a much bigger following than characters who have gotten far more. If anything, she's overachieved.

Ermac is quite literally everything that made this series iconic condensed into one

• pallet swap ninja
• made from souls
• came from a hoax during the arcade days and eventually became real because of the rumours
• extremely mysterious

Kintaro, he is very underrated.

Disagree on the comments about Kung Jin, I don't get why he would warrant more popularity. It feels like they couldn't really come up with a 4th kombat kid so they gave us another Kung that is more Nightwolf at times but especially Green Arrow. My main dislike about the character is just that, the Ancestral variation is basically Green Arrow from Injustice, there is no originality. Shaolin is basically Kung Lao with the hat replaced by a chakram.

For all the hate she got, I consider Jacqui Briggs are more individual character from Jax, especially in MK11. I don't think Kung Jin offers anything interesting. That said for some reason I like his finishing moves in MKX, the two fatalities are simple but effective.

At least Takeda has different enough moves from Scorpion even if the inspiration is there and he has nothing in common with Kenshi either.

Rest of the characters mentioned are popular enough, including Cassie Cage, she must be the most popular NRS character not in MK1.

As for Hotaru, just like most of the Deception cast, a filler character, looking like Fujin in an armor.

Shinnok pic was proven fake a day after release. His head is part of a stage and on kitanas kast they literally said she's taking shinnoks spot as his elemental opposite.

Hotaru. I hate that they retconed and simplified the whole Order and Chaos Realm plotlines to just “Havik”, so they would never have to care about it

I think he’s the best kameo in MK1. I was very active in the tournament scene for MKX, I live in a college town where there are a lot of bars that do game nights with cash prizes and MKX was the go-to at the time I lived around the campus, and I completely slept on Tremor and wasn’t particularly excited about his inclusion until I saw some of the genuinely very good players that were also in the tourneys playing with one of the Tremor variants (can’t remember which for certain but I think it might have been crystalline).

It got to the point that outside of Alien (Acidic) and Kitana/Erron Black, Tremor was easily my most dreaded matchup.
