Finding an e-bike that fits a taller rider, especially someone who is 6'8", can be challenging due to limited availability of larger frame sizes. Here are some insights and recommendations based on discussions from various tall riders:
Frame Size Considerations
For tall individuals, frame size is a crucial factor. Many standard bikes may not accommodate someone who is 6'8". For instance, a 61cm frame, which is often the largest readily available in many bike shops, might not be sufficient [2:3]. It's important to try out different sizes if possible, as even a 62cm frame was noted to be too large for a 6'4" rider
[2:2]. Some brands like Trek offer frames up to 64cm, which could be worth exploring
[2:12].
Brands and Models for Tall Riders
Several brands were mentioned as being more accommodating for taller riders. Santa Cruz offers XXL frames, which have been recommended by individuals around 6'7" [3:2], and Specialized's Creo in XXL is designed for heights up to 6'9"
[5:6]. Canyon also provides XL and XXL sizes that may suit very tall riders, although their stack height might not be ideal for everyone
[2:5],
[2:11].
Custom and Specialty Options
For those willing to invest more, custom-built bikes or specialty brands like DirtySixer, which designs bikes specifically for tall people, could be a great option [2:7]. While these options may come with a higher price tag, they provide a tailored fit that can significantly enhance comfort and riding experience.
Adjustments and Modifications
If a perfect off-the-shelf fit is elusive, consider getting a slightly smaller frame and making adjustments such as adding a longer seat post or stem. However, it's important to note that while these modifications can help, they may not fully compensate for a frame that's too small [1:5],
[3:4]. A professional bike fitting can ensure that any adjustments made are optimal for your body dimensions
[2:9].
Final Recommendations
Given the challenges of finding a suitable e-bike for someone 6'8", it would be wise to explore both high-end custom options and larger frame models from brands like Santa Cruz, Specialized, and Canyon. If budget allows, investing in a custom bike could provide the best long-term satisfaction. Additionally, visiting bike shops and discussing your specific needs with knowledgeable staff can lead to discovering lesser-known options or potential custom solutions.
They wanted to return Christa but her character was not fitting for the story
If I’m not mistaken
Christa was supposed to come back in S4? Where’d you get that from?
I think they're referring to this interview.
> Ed: Can you talk a bit about why it made sense for Lily to be chosen to be the character that returns over someone else and why she played the role that she did? Why did that make sense for the team?
> Mudle: Yeah really early on in the books for The Final Season there was always like, we should bring back a returning character. The whole season really follows up season two and three, but it’s really an homage to season one. And so really the only top two candidates for that for the role of returning character were Lily or Christa.
> And basically we needed an antagonistic force to kind of make the story work, and having it be a character from Clementine’s past gave the whole thing a lot more weight and pathos than it could have been if have we just had to create a new character.
> So Lily was the only character [that made sense]. It would be hard to imagine Christa as the leader of a military group that kidnaps children, but I can imagine Lily has gone through so much hard stuff and so many horrible situations having been abandoned by her previous group for a single act of violence, and found new people to care for that her character would have gotten to the point that she got; and so her inclusion has helped a lot.
> The series needed an antagonist and we needed to bring somebody back, and Lily made a lot of sense that way given where we left her in season one.
So about the Final Season
There was some early drafts about the idea of having 2 shipmen/fishers being the villains. However they decided to make it an entire crew with Lily being in charge.
The game wasn’t allowed to have major rewrites due to the budget (which is also why we didn’t have good and bad endings for Clementine). So whatever decision they made was very early on and definitely not a last minute decision.
To answer your question: no, and definetly not during S1’s development
Also, like TheRealsetBiz said, she was supposed to be the same Lily as the comics which is why she leaves in Episode 3 (I think her taking the RV is canon). However the creator changed his mind (rookie mistake)
In season 1, Lilly was the Lilly who kills the Governor in the comics and it should have remained that way. She’s in like two scenes but look at her. It’s definitely the TWDG Lilly.
That was like supposed to be a big part of the whole shooting thing for comics fan, when the achievement was On the Road to Woodbury and you went, oh, fuck, she’s the one that actually beats the Governor.
They didn’t keep it because Kirkman/Skybound made the Lilly from the Governor books canon. It was a bit of a rug pull so they had to change a lot about their Lilly. At least they got to give her a proper conclusion.
Kirkman has a lot of strengths but novelist is not really one of them.
To tell the truth, I loved it, it was a beautiful, emotional, reflective and calm chapter... The atmosphere that Yofukashi has in things like this is what makes me fall in love with the series... The adaptation, although it had its changes, was infinitely superior to S1, in addition to having more popularity. But... There is something that makes me uneasy... This episode and season gave me crumbs that make me doubt whether there will be or not:
Crumb 1 that gives me hope: the entire conflict with Kiku, they left everything cooked for us as to not give us a third season, added to what I understand (I haven't read the manga in a while, correct me if I'm wrong) along with Hokkaido it is one of the longest and even compressing it and skipping something that is not necessary it would be difficult to fit it in 1 season of 12 chapters...
Crumb 2 that gives me hope: Kou's words in the chapter, here Kou tells us that he wants to find the vampire who transformed Uguisu's father, this leaves us with an open plot in the second season and leaves us to think that there will be a second season
(This is not a crumb but I still include it, the second season had much better ratings and was more profitable than the first at the moment)
Crumb 1 that takes away my hope: the way everything was adapted, the season was very closed, and there was no prelude chapter like in the second, leaving it somewhat self-contained, and that makes me distrustful
Crumb 2 that takes away my hope: chapter 12 of S2 was absurdly calm even for a transition chapter, it felt like a series closing and not a season closing
AND...
Crumb that gives me and takes away hope...
The final chapter of S1 is titled Call Of The Night, in addition to having Ending 1, said ending is titled Yofukashi No Uta and says the name of the work several times. This same thing is repeated in S2, which leaves me to understand that it is a planned pattern and that they save it for the following seasons. But this also takes away my hope since this is usually seen mainly when an anime broadcast as it is ends... That takes away a lot of my hope.
Regardless of how popular a season of an anime is, there is never a guarantee of the the next season. It depends mostly on blu ray sales in Japan. Try not to to overthink it. A director would never try to let you down easy about there not being a new season because they dont know yet either.
I also loved the finale by the way!
I loved it a lot too
Exactly, that's why I said it wasn't a crumb that gave me hope, let's look at No Game No Life for example. Honestly, I don't want to dwell on the matter so much, but I love this series with all my soul... I can't help but look for something that gives me clues as to whether there will be or not...
Same just finished watching it and i cant wait for season 3 but that'll be years down the road if eventually they'll do it
Okay but we agree that there's futa Yuki and mpreg submissive bottom Choso right?
I mean, look, Choso’s blood is toxic to humans and there’s a good chance his semen is too
He has to take it at least once just to be sure for safety reasons
I was going to disagree but, Choso lowkey looks hella breedable in here.
(Not that he doesn't look normally)
Mhm. They can figure something out with yukis soul knowledge and chosos curse biology and blood manipulation
Not every wise man is listened to at large, but the few who stay gain a new understanding and become realized to the truth.
I think she specifically had Yuta in mind while saying this.
Maki being a sub, while also being so strong that the number of men who can dominate her can be counted on one hand, is underutilized comedy.
Hey Reddit post, it’s Socrates
I'm not anywhere as intellectual as Socrates but thanks for the compliment.
"God does exist but he is sick of you" the scene
I haven't watched fruits basket in 9 years since it aired in Australia. Apparently this one is some sort of accurate reboot.
Yeah, the original anime only got through 30-40% of the manga because it was still coming out, and therefore changed the climax of the story to be a modified version of something that happens in Volume 6. It had to leave the bulk of the story, and therefore the overall main points of the story, out completely, and you don't even get to meet the entirety of the Zodiac!
The 2019 anime is amazing. But one thing I still sometimes miss is the original Momiji voice. I know the German accent is canon, but after watching the original anime so many times, I got used to his energetic sing song voice. 😆
It is! You can also watch it on crunchyroll in AU
I'm broke so I had to set sail 😆
Ahoy matey! 🩷
Omg nice!! Where did you find it? And will it play in a dvd player from our region (I always forget what it’s called)? Or do you have one of those all-regions players?
EBay! They're UK format and I'm from Australia so I should be good
Oh man, enjoy the ride!! Have you read the manga before? I returned to Fruits Basket in 2021 iirc; I had somehow missed out on the fact it was remade. It's so good! Have tissues ready :)
I havent but plan to!
It’s amazing! 🥰
I just finished rewatching it and fully forgot how this ends. I was really hoping for a happier ending and was devastated when I saw that its been 2 years since season 2 was released. I need more and I’m wondering if there’s a low chance it’ll ever get adapted and if I should just start reading the books. Also wondering how they normally decide which animes should get more seasons and if SAFT checked the boxes for em.
(the animation style is really good and their conversation about being happy and finding someone else they love was NOT ending-worthy)
You should definitely read the books! While the anime did a pretty good job at adapting the light novels, there are extra scenes and tons of internal thoughts of characters that add to the story (LN1-LN6).
As for a continuation after the anime, there is currently LN7 and LN8 released in English. LN9 is coming out in January. Highly recommend them!
It’s a shojo so… 🫂
At least we were lucky to get 26 episodes while others only get 12 :(
😭
I Have Hope It Will Come Back Someday. IT HAS TO!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT SAFT.
i watched it 2 weeks ago and got so addicted I started reading the LNs and lemme tell u i have never binged something so fast in my life. ive never read any other LN (except half a volume of 86) !! but THIS!! oh u gotta read. esp since i doubt itll get another season at this point.
the anime covers vol 1-6. this person has 7-14 on their patreon, just sub for free .15 is partially translated. and theres still abt 5 vol left for them to fan translate. https://www.patreon.com/c/AnimeLightNovels/home
reading the volumes sounds like a lot but its easier than u think!!
You’re a life saver. I will genuinely crash out if I never find out how this ends.
Please support the Officials as well! If you like it, buy it. 😉
yeah i bought all the official english ones so far! (1-8) 😁
Wasn’t it just one season with two cours? I don’t remember ever seeing anything about a season two.
yeah basically but amazon has it as 2 seasons for some reason so idk if that means anything
It doesn’t. Amazon is listing it wrong. It’s only 1 season.
so i just recently finished this anime n i gotta say it was the best romance anime i have ever watched hands down (along with DitF) so when i finished it i desperately started searching for updates related to s2 but unfortunately found nothin except for
i desperately need another season idk if everyone who have watched found it one of the best Romance Anime but personally I HAVE n ig its my taste but anyway i really need some updates so i can at least move on if s2 isnt comin ( like i have with DitF N Chivarly of a failed knight)
We all in this subreddit found this anime one of the best romcom drama anime of all time and it's sad that it's not getting a season 2 cause it was not as popular as it should be to get another season so the best thing you can do rn is to read the manga it's actually goated. Second thing if you can afford to buy the at least buy one volume no matter whether it's JP or EN just to support yuki san. And welcome to this sub 🙌🏻
How do i buy if i live in maldives, i have never supported through merchandise or books of any type, never read manga either but i lived this so much apart from horimiya and plastic memories that i want to read this so badly. If buying will even slightly give better chances for it to have a s2 i wanna do so
You can check Amazon it's listed there (More than a married couple but not lovers published by Udon) if you can't find it, you can buy it from bookswagon (it's an books e-commerce company based in india which actually provides original manga in good price and it won't cost you much to import cause Maldives and India are close to each other) and there is only one volume of English and 2nd one coming in July. Or you can buy the JP one from Barns and Novel (not recommended cause it will cost you a lot tbh)
You can read the manga from so many websites like 'manganato' and many more cause official translation is nowhere available just scanlations which are actually good. Just if you want to support yuki san then you can buy something officially related to fuufuijou (mangas mostly, one volume is more than enough to support her).
i definitely would have but in eng only 2 vol r available n ig they have already covered this stuff in anime s1 right?
Ok no issue if you want you can read the rest of the manga online cause it's good 🤌✨
No it’s not getting a second season, sales of the manga have not done well compared to similar anime’s that came out the same time. All we got is the manga for now.
All i can say, just move on. You already said and its true anime is just for advertising the manga, but the manga is just barely making sales so the publisher just stick with that instead of axing the manga.
Some manga dont get lucky after their first season and gets the axe.
And the number 2 the author already said on the matter the publisher have no plans for season 2 and she have no power to change it especially there is a lot of departments to make a decision ( for proof its on her x account and been discussed numerous times and that will be the last time she will discuss it)
there is no news about season 2, maybe when the manga ends we'll have some news but let's not lose hope for the best romance anime 🙏🙏
Not even 5toubun got s3. So yea idk. They just want you to buy manga.
Facts
Here we go….
I honestly know it’s pointless and hopeless to think we might get a second season for this anime but hey kimi no todoke got one after nearly a decade so 😭
most likely not but i wish cause it such a good anime
Just read the manga, this anime is just for promotion so very unlikely
Manga is very good hence hoping fr a second season but chances are 0.1 percent 🥲🥲
I think it's unlikely but that'd be awesome lol. still loved my time with the series. it's probably more likely than my OTHER wish (which is for Yugami Has No Friends to get a proper adaptation at all)
Small chance but probably not zero. Going to take a long time lol if it is real
Dude we are waiting
Studio GoHands already has an anime scheduled for 2026, so if they announce another new project that isn’t season 2, is that the nail in the coffin for a continuation, or do you think there’s still a chance it could happen later?
Right now, buddy. Go read the manga.
Already have, brochacho
I feel your pain then. I think it’s unlikely at best to get a second season but I will always a tiny, tiny sliver of hope that it happens.
Sadly I don't think there's going to be a season 2, bucko.
To be honest, season 2 will only remain in our dreams. The truth is that the anime didn't achieve the success expected. It's a sad thing to say, but it is reality.
There wasn’t even a dub what makes you think there will be a season 2( I want season 2 so bad ah)
Remember guys the only thing you can do is buy the manga/blu-rays to increase the chances of it happening (at least a bit).
Masamune-kun got Season 2 after 6 years, Grand Blue got it after 7 years. I would say give Sukinako another 4 years.
GoHands are able to make Season 2 of their anime so I wouldn't say their anime are one season wonders. Seitokai Yakuindomo and K have sequels.
Thank you for the extra copium i need
Came to say the same. Thanks!
I asked for recs about what to choose from the Ancient Magus Bride, Fruits Basket and Dr Stone, I’ve watched the first season of the AMB first (since people said it was the weakest out of the three) and the first season of Dr Stone after that (I JUST finished that) and I thank everyone for the recommendations I’m really happy with my decisions..and dr Stone was SO FUN I never thought I could be such a science nerd and Google every scientific reference in the anime lol
Fruits Basket is the last one I need to give a try now and I’ve watched devastating anime’s before…but I also dropped some like your lie in April because I couldn’t handle it, so I just want to ask, is it THAT bad?
I’m also thinking of watching Erased instead since a friend has asked me to watch it quite a while ago, I heard that one’s also not the cheeriest anime though
It is hands down my favorite drama. If you have had intense family/relationship trauma you might want to stay away, but it is really good! Make sure to watch the 2019 version and i would say watch the movie after you watch the series
And don't give up on one piece! It is a very fun series!
Fruits Basket deals with very heavy themes like toxic relationships, codependency, and manipulation. Eating disorders and suicidal thoughts are also prominent. Unlike Your Lie In April though (which I believe is much more mild) the show is about everyone healing and everyone breaking their toxic cycles. Not just one or two people. There are scenes that hurt, but they are followed by an unrelenting love and support from friends and family. If you have any sort of sensitivity or trauma, you will probably feel seen by this show in some way. I reccomend it as one of the best in it's respective genre.
Also, when it comes to Erased, it's about a group of elementary kids trying to save their friends from a serial killer. Nothing super explicit on screen, but again if you can't handle scenes of abuse, murder, or other dark subject matter, I would also avoid it.
Anime can be really fun and reccomendations are nice, but make sure you know what your own limits are and do your research before watching anything! It's the best way to keep yourself safe and to continue enjoying the medium! :D
That's why I prefer Isekai slop most days. I hate watching too many shows that genuinely stresses me out
I felt the same after I watched Re zero season 1 but I continued throughout all 3 seasons and OVAs so far. If these aren't your type, best to go with the comedy route Isekai like Konosuba
I’ve been watching so much isekai lately lol but I honestly love a good anime (or show in general) that absolutely breaks me down emotionally lol
You should definitely continue Your Lie in April bro
This will devastate you!
Watch it it’s a goated romance
YES DO IT IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE
I started Fruits Basket on the whim, from my IG Reels someone mentioned it, and I fell in love. This is my second anime after a looong time, I also watched My Happy Marriage and enjoyed it.
Recently I tried : Kaguya-Sama : Love is war Orange The Ancient Magu’s Bride Ouran High School Host Club
But unfortunately I don’t get the same vibes with Fruits Basket. It’s so wholesome, gives comedy, deal with pain and trauma, beautiful friendship, brotherly and fatherly love, and what I love the most is the subtle romance 💝
This was actually my first anime I ever watched! It’s an absolute masterpiece! ☺️ Maybe someday there will be something that comes close to how amazing of a series Fruits Basket is! 🩷
Horimiya is very much its own thing but they share some of the same feels. Kimi ni Todoke too. Blue Box is very different but its the most current thing you’d probably enjoy if you loved Fruits.
Been watching Kimi ni Todoke. Liked S1. Idk if I can continue though, I hated the character regression at the start of S2 so much and it sounds like it doesn't get better until two-thirds of the way through the season. Anyone know if the new season 3 is worth pushing through for?
New season was awesome and tons of progress for all characters.
loved kimi ni todoke!
Kamisama Kiss scratched the itch for me after the sadness of finishing Fruits Basket! Not the exact same vibe, nothing out there compares to Fruits Basket IMO but it was super cute.
Agreed! But only if you continue to watch the Ovas that close off the story
I feel that same way about Masamune-Kun’s Revenge and it’s become my third favorite anime
I suggest the 90s version as well if you want some more nostalgia. Not as close to the original manga like the recent fruits basket it, but it still hits a nostalgic core for me.
Im afraid this is indeed peak anime romance, I haven’t seen any shows replicate what FB was able to do
Unfortunately this is one of the greatest romance animes, so nothing ever compares to it. One of the other romance animes I really liked is A Sign of Affection, but it’s not very similar. I wish I could find something similar to Fruits Basket too! 😭 It’s truly such an amazing series!!
Re:Life is good as well, I find it has similar character growth.
Will there be a second season of Fruits Basket?
Key Considerations:
Original Source Material: "Fruits Basket" is based on the manga by Natsuki Takaya, which has a complete storyline. The 2019 adaptation covers the entire manga, including the second season.
Completion of the Series: The 2019 adaptation consists of three seasons, with the final season airing in 2021. Therefore, there will not be a second season as the story has been fully adapted.
Reception and Popularity: The series received positive reviews and a strong fanbase, which contributed to the decision to adapt the entire story in three seasons.
Takeaway: If you enjoyed the first season, you can watch the subsequent seasons (two and three) to complete the story of "Fruits Basket." The entire series is available for viewing, so you can experience the full narrative arc.
