TL;DR
Aesthetic Preferences
For those focused on the appearance of their Titan armor, several sets are favored. The Leviathan, Dreaming City, and Last Wish sets are recommended for their visual appeal, with specific mentions of the Dreaming City gauntlets and Last Wish chest plate and legs [1:1]. The Gensym Knight set from Io is also a favorite among players for its aesthetic, despite lacking perks
[1:2]. Additionally, the Reverie set is noted for complementing the female Titan form
[1:3].
PvP Builds
In the competitive scene, certain exotic armors stand out. The Behemoth (Stasis) Titan build, which utilizes Cryoclasm sliding paired with exotics like Actium War Rig or Peregrine Greaves, is highly effective [2:1],
[2:4]. Peacekeepers are another strong choice, especially for SMG enthusiasts, providing significant advantages in PvP
[2:3],
[2:6]. Other notable exotics include Mask of the Quiet One and ACD/0 Feedback Fence, both offering unique benefits in melee combat situations
[2:2],
[2:5].
PvE Builds
For PvE content, several builds are recommended that make use of specific exotics. Wormgod's Caress and Ashen Wake are excellent for solar-based builds, focusing on melee and grenade spam respectively [4:1]. The combination of Wishful Ignorance and Flachet Storm/Banner of War provides strong melee capabilities, particularly when investing heavily in the Melee stat
[4:2]. Another effective setup involves using Armamentarium with pulse grenades and Touch of Thunder for high grenade uptime
[4:4].
Armor Sets and Sources
The Tusked Allegiance set, available from Vox Obscura, and the Ketchkiller set, obtainable through Xur, are highlighted for their distinct looks [5:2],
[5:7]. The Trials of Osiris chest piece and the Stoicism ornament from Eververse are also mentioned as part of stylish Titan setups
[5:4].
These recommendations provide a comprehensive overview of both functional and aesthetic options for Titans in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
And why?
Asking for a friend.
I know it's year one armor, so it doesn't have any perks, but the Gensym Knight set from Io is definitely my favorite for a female Titan in terms of appearance.
I think the Reverie set is the most complementary to you actually knowing you’re playing a female character.
Exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
Tangled Web pants... tight and asymmetrical with fishnets.
Leviathan, dreaming city and last wish. Dreaming city gauntlets and LW chest plate and legs. I use an iron banner mark but that’s just because I HATE all Titan marks and that’s the only one that’s a mildly attractive butt towel
Returning player here. Took a break after finishing Final Shape. I have since returned back to the game and I'm trying to catch up. What's the best titan builds for PVP right now?
The BEST build is void titan, scatter nades with weaken fragment, bastion and controlled demolition aspects.
Build for discipline, resil, recov, and enjoy throwing nukes at people. Controlled demo is just ridiculous, chaining volatile and 90 health for anyone in a 40m radius just makes ur nades and shoulder charge so much more valuable than what you could get on other subclasses. (dont forget fastball mod it importante)
Twilight arsenal is the best 3s super in the game, it’s a free round win. Suppressing shoulder charge is stupid and can sometimes beat supers if you know what ur doing
Play slowish with pulse/crimils/ igneous and a lw/closing slug or fusion of ur choice and enjoy being insufferable. Or pks with target lock unending/shayuras if you want to be more aggressive but this just straight up won’t work against very good players because smgs are in a bad spot.
Exotics r pks, dunes, OEM, peregrines (if in low skill lobbies) . Anything else is gimmicky
Why not Mask of the Quiet One?
Other than that, I agree with this take. A while back when someone made a community tier list, it was insane how slept on void Titan is.
Even now, I see bot titans queuing in comp on striker Titan, and it’s almost always a guarantee that they’ll bottom board
I use basically this but with Peregrines as my exotic so my melee is an almost guaranteed kill when needed.
Peregrines with the suppress shoulder charge is nuts for killing supers.
Arc, void, stasis, or prismatic. Exotics one eye, dunemarchers, acd feedback and peacekeeper if you like smg but it’s not meta right now
I’ve gotten wrecked by dudes using Peacekeepers. Probably the most cracked enemies I’ve ever fought wore Peacekeepers.
Peacekeeper titan has given guardians nightmares for years especially in that last meta they were in. Right now they are good in 6s but 3s it will depend on the map but if it’s your main thing and you are best with it then you’ll be fine cause it’s a great exotic
In my opinion ACD feedback is better then dunemarchers. . The chances of stringing your melee happens far less then 1v1 melee fights. Acd feedback arms almost guarantee you will not die alone, at least the opponent will die with you. Arc titan with “knockout” and “storms keep”
I think Storms Keep is overrated, especially against better players. I've been rocking Touch of Thunder since Day 1, and it's not coming off with lightning grenades.
Dunemarchers is mainly used for the sprint speed buff I think. You’re right though, the melee chain damage rarely ever gets used. ACD is a very solid choice.
Dunes are used for the movement benefits. If they completely removed the arc zap from them they'd still be the most used titan exotic. The zap is just an added benefit.
I’m currently enjoying Behemoth (Stasis) Titan abusing Cryoclasm sliding with a shotgun, combined with whatever exotic armor you want to pair it with. I personally love auto rifles and am using Actium War Rig. Stasis melee is also incredible for repositioning and making slick getaways. Glacier Grenade can be used as a makeshift barricade or to cut distance in half for more aggressive pushes.
Seriously, use Cryoclasm. It’s so much fun skating around every 3 seconds or so, and once you really nail it down, can make some insane plays.
Build is very loosely fit as I don’t think there’s really any good exotic armors that pair with stasis too well. Dunemarchers are a good option. Maybe Lance Cap if you want to play more defensively. Actium lets me swap into Sweet Business abusing-mode if I want to clown around too.
Aside from that, you could always go for the tried and true Void Titan build that abuses Overshields whenever it can. Void Titan is always a solid choice.
Hi guys, after a break of couple years i am back playing final shape as a prismatic titan. Dint have any fancy gear. The final shape is the only dlc i have.
Any tips on gearing?
Yeah thanks guys. Just a shame i did not play any dlc earlier. Missed out on some great story telling.
Feels strange coming back at the last dlc, missing out on essential story building, character development and gearing up throughout the years of new dlc.
Ill just finish the final shape campaign en get gear from there.
Play through the legend campaign. Youll catch up in terms of light level.
Its honestly not that bad. The ads just hit a little harder.
I redid the campaign at like 1980ish with an actual legit build for legendary and it wasn’t easy. I would not suggest someone coming into d2 after a few year break play it. I would by no means say it’s easy and honestly some of it is quite annoying, mainly the last mission.
That is also true. Its quite the struggle. I'd be lying if I said I didn't wipe at least 2-3 times. But it was hella fun the first play through.
Up to you OP. You dont have to solo legendary campaign. You could try the LFG for extra help if you're struggling.
For titan one eyed mask is still good in pvp, along with dunemarchers and peacekeepers if you like submachine guns. Prismatic titan with knockout and diamond lance aspect (idk what its called) are both really good, and scatter grenades are strong. As for weapons, Dead Man’s Tale, acquired from it’s exotic mission is probably all around the strongest choice, coupled with a shotgun and dunemarchers/one eyed mask for a good combination. Or, for sniping, i’d suggest a smg/peacekeepers with a sniper of your choosing. All of these gear options are interchangeable, so just see what you like. This is just generally what I find i succeed with when I play titan
Thsnks man. But really dont know how to get al That gear
Just recently came back to Destiny 2, last time I played was when Beyond Light released. I realized that I never really played with builds and maybe why I always struggled with harder contend. Can anyone recommend me a good build for Titan? Currently finishing up the Lightfall campaign.
Wishful Ignorance + Flachet Storm/Banner of War is really strong in PVE rn. If you invest heavily into the Melee stat, you can have pretty consistent uptime with it in mid-level content (if you're interested in it, definitely look up a video, there are a ton of guides going over why it's so strong rn and what to focus on).
In PVP, I run Peregrine Greaves and whatever weapons you like (my personal recs are exotic Khovostov or Suros Regime paired with either a shotgun or scout, depending on the map). Here's a DIM link for the specific loadout I use, but it works well on Solar too
There’s a ton of build guides on YouTube. Also there’s these 2 sites which I use a lot, I’m sure there are many more but I’ve never gone wrong using these guides
I use armamentarium, pulse nades, touch of thunder, storms keep, aspects are spark, recharge, magnitude, feedback, max grenade stat. Throw on some firepower mods, arc surge ,etc and just throw all the grenades. Easily melts everything Couple it with a demo/ adrenaline junkie weapon and you'll be having some fun.
There are like 5 or 6 builds I would recommend building around as top contenders currently. I’ll give the class and exotic and from there, it should be hard to seek out a build for that on YouTube.
Wormgod’s solar bonk titans.
Ashen awake solar fusion grenade spam.
Wishful Ignorance strand flechette Storm.
Skullfort arc or prismatic titan.
Alpha Lupi storms keep arc Titan.
(For the previous two, have a high super, cuirass setup to swap to if you want raid boss damage).
Consecration Spam with prismatic titan and an inmost light/Synthoceps class item. This will be the most work to setup and get access to if you don’t have the class item already.
What's that? Okay... I'll ask them.
Caiatl would like to know what armor that is.
Helmet is from the Tusked Allegiance set. It drops from Vox Obscura these days.
Helmet is the Tusked Allegiance set, came from Season of the Risen (should drop from Vox Obscura).
Arms and legs are the Ketchkiller set, came from Season of Plunder (should be carried by Xur, unfortunately luck-based).
Chest is from Trials of Osiris, I forget the name but it's an older set. If you don't have it, it can be focused for 5 engrams from Saint.
Class item is an ornament for Stoicism that launched this season, currently in Eververse, has not dropped for Bright Dust yet to my knowledge.
Dunno about all of it but the arms and legs are from the Ketchkiller set which can be acquired from Xur's strange offers armour section
Your Titan looks like a crinkled Monster can
Bro 🤣
“Best we can do is the weirdest, ugliest unnecessarily big shoulder pads ever made.” - Bungie
I think the opposite I think they look dumb being bulky and stuff
Ditto, bulk looks dumb bring back D1 titans
One of the nice things that's come out of the recent years of Destiny armor design has been providing a lot of variety on how 'bulky' people want their Titans to be. Some are pretty slim and lightweight, others have the colossal shoulderpads of OG D2, and some fall in the middle! Your's looks great!
There are 3 sets of titan armor I want in the game for nostalgia purposes before Final Shape. The titan armor from the D1 character creator, the blue armor we saw at E3 2013 where the titan was wearing Crest of Alpha Lupi, and the armor from D1 wallpapers and live action trailer. I would like the Iron Lord armor for all three classes return and for the exotic Khovostov to have the Last Warmind ornament in Final Shape.
Spektar set for warlock, vanilla cover sets, dark below titan set with fur collar
I would love to see the Lion's/Scarab's/Cobra's Vigil Trials of Osiris armor sets to make a return sometime soon. Also the Hunter Argus and Dustwalker sets would be great to have back. And of course the Taken armor sets.
REAL. bring back hunter kitty hood :(
The Destiny 1 promo art set.
We never did get that fur collar for the Titan.
Psion Flayer cloak
OG Spektar titan armor without the ugly Calus gemstones on the menagerie set
I have been playing for a bit and I am curious about the communities thoughts on what the best armor is?
I understand that many are going to be build specific, but I mean overall what do you think is the best.
I recently got Truth Enforcers for the drip and I am surprised by how much I love the stats on the armor. I am curious what other divers thoughts are.
Truth enforcers has some of the best drip you can find, but the passive has been buffed twice because of how underwhelming it was. Now it pretty solid.
Typically it is loadout/front specific, but the common picks that are always useful are:
Siege-ready (urban legends) because more ammo and faster reload for primaries is always helpful.
Peak Physique (viper commandos) used to be the only option for melee builds, but reinforced epaulets (masters of ceremony) also works. But the other part, increased handling on all weapons, makes bigger weapons like the dominator, eruptor, or HMG much easier to use.
Light Gunner. Medium armor rating with scout armor speed/stamina. Nothing else needed.
Or just old school Scout for speed and stealth.
It just depends on the situation, like I’ll use any fire resistant armor if I’m using the de sickle, or I’ll use the armor with faster reload speed with the eruptor, or I’ll just use the armor with more stims
At a certain point, armor bonuses just become a gimmick. But some can be beneficial for specific playstyles.
Setting yourself on fire a lot with the double sickle? Medic or fireproof armor.
Are you one of those players who likes to stand in gas and survive? Heavy gas armor.
Do you prefer stealth, being relatively unseen, and knowing you enemy's movements? Scout armor.
Are you a memer? Truth Enforcers.
Stuff like that.
Pick what works best for your playstyle. If you are a jack of all trades, then any armor will do.
Yeah I really like the Truth Enforcers armor because its so well rounded for every front and load out. Extra armor, no flinching, and free radar on the map always helps out. I have enjoyed it so far way better than any other armor. Except maybe Prototype X when I play with my friend who loves tesla towers.
as a filthy recoilless user, peak physique is my shit
It is me again, your friendly neighborhood Prismatic Build planner. I started to actually think of what I needed for The Final Shape (TFS) launch and a big thing is finding loadouts that work for the starting slate of abilities we get for Prismatic from the Prismatic Deep Dive. So here I want to list out some builds that I think will be useful.
Tl;dr: If you just want quick shots of builds check this album: https://imgur.com/a/9VINdU7
Here are the categories of Prismatic Builds:
All Starter Builds use the same starting Fragments: Facets of Dawn, Hope, Protection, Purpose, Ruin. You may not be able to slot all 5 depending on fragment slots. Drop Dawn if the build isn't weapon focused. Drop Hope if you don't need class ability. Drop Ruin if you don't have Ignitions or Shatters.
I have a few resources here:
Hopefully this helps people out. Let me know if you have questions or comments.
Good Job! I think one of the things I'm going to try is pulling off a good Stasis titan as we can get rid of that god-awful melee and replace it with a better melee.
Also wouldn't insurmountable Skullfort work with your Thunder Fist Lancer?
It would but Point Contact Cannon Brace returns a lot of energy on kills and adds more damage and Jolts.
Insurmountable just returns the charge.
it also heals you, or starts to, anyway.
i was waiting for someone to post something like this in r/destiny2builds
thanks
Oh I always forget about that subreddit. Will post there too.
This might not be the post for it, but as a fellow TFS theorycrafter do you know if anyone’s said something about Spirit of Necrotic working with Weapons of Sorrow like Necrotic Grip does?
Been working on what could be an outrageously high uptime Trans build (Sacrifice and Bravery with Devour and Bleak Watcher/Arcane Needle, Generosity with Thorn/Necrochasm and Spirit of Necrotics) but I’m not sure if it works like I’m hoping it will.
I haven't heard but the perk description says poison spreads so it should.
Missing the Prismatic Build Image for the Starting Prismatic Gyrfalcon, just fyi :)
Got it in there now. Thanks for catching!
Awesome! Thanks for this
Dredgen Yor energy
Just looked at some images, and I gotta say, your right! Gotta put on my dredgen title now! sigh if only I was a menace in the crucible 😔
This man does not turn sideways to shuffle through a door. He simply smashes through the frame.

Best armor for titans in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Key Considerations for Best Armor for Titans in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Subclass Synergy: Choose armor that complements your Titan subclass (Striker, Defender, or Sentinel). Look for perks that enhance your abilities and playstyle.
Stat Distribution: Focus on armor pieces that boost key stats like Resilience (for survivability), Recovery (for faster health regeneration), and Mobility (for improved movement).
Exotic Armor Choices:
Mod Slots: Ensure your armor has mod slots for customization. Look for mods that enhance your build, such as those that increase ability recharge rates or provide damage resistance.
Seasonal Artifacts: Keep an eye on seasonal artifacts that can provide additional bonuses and synergies with your armor and subclass.
Recommendation: For a balanced and powerful Titan build, consider using the Heart of Inmost Light exotic armor paired with a focus on Resilience and Recovery stats.
