TL;DR
Top PvE Weapon Choices
For PvE, the combination of Necrotic Grip and Osteo Striga is highly recommended. This setup is praised for its effectiveness in clearing enemies quickly and efficiently [2:5]. Another powerful build involves using Sunbracers paired with Monte Carlo, which allows for high grenade uptime and makes you feel like a raid boss
[2:1].
Fun and Unique Builds
Some players prefer to focus on fun rather than strictly meta builds. The Fighting Lion combined with Nezarec's Sin offers a unique playstyle that many find enjoyable [5:6]. Similarly, Prometheus Lens or Jotunn can provide an entertaining experience, especially if you're not concerned with high-end team activities
[5:1].
Versatile Weapon Options
Warlocks have versatile weapon options that complement their abilities well. For instance, Stormcaller paired with Crown of Tempests is a popular choice due to its synergy and ability to maintain super energy [5:2]. Additionally, saving Void weapons for when Nezarec's Sin becomes available can be a strategic move, as it offers a simple yet effective gameplay style
[5:3].
Community Recommendations
While some players suggest sticking to meta builds, others emphasize the importance of playing with weapons you enjoy. Whether it's experimenting with demolitionist perks [5:5] or running top tree dawn with Martyr's Retribution for ad clearing
[5:4], the key takeaway is to have fun and tailor your loadout to your personal preferences.
I mainly use Speaker's Sight or Delicate Tomb/GeoMags, but don't know much about other builds.
Lightning surge syntho on prismatic, sanguine swap well lock for damage but that's more of a loadout you use post mechanic.
Geomags with delicate/Cold Heart. Slidemelee lock for efficiency, but also sooo boring
But please also try Barrow Dyad with Swarmers and full strand artifact. With Weavewalk and rift aspect + grapple.
Or maitidoxia with Mindspun and wanderer on a shackle grenade.
Or go for fun with Briarbinds full void artifact and Lemonarch
Definitely not meta, but I'm having so much fun running a Vampiric Melee build w/ glaives, mostly using the Enigma. It's SO much fun. As long as there are enemies to kill/eat, it's hard to die.
Try using Geomags with Microcosm instead. Combined with the artifact perk that grants bonus damage to traces against enemies debuffed with a matching element, Microcosm deals 20% increased damage to ANY debuffed target. Plus, since Chaos Reach jolts, you’re guaranteed to get that bonus.
Right now I'd say Prismatic getaway artist for survivability or geomags arc for slaying out. Next season it will either be starfire solar, rimecoat Prismatic or Prismatic strand with HOIL class item
Is star fire getting a buff or something?
Just returned to the game after some time and curious as to what weapons and armor I should be going for. I am mainly a PvE player. Thanks!
Agers with Mantle of Battle Harmony for Stasis is very good assuming you can keep ammo effectively.
Contraverse holds for void warlocks, grenade spaaaaaaaammm
necrotic grip and osteo striga. end of discussion
Thorn too if you don't have anniversary. But Osteo is just more.
Yep came here to recommend both of those
Warlock you want the new stasis arm exotics, there is an insane build that I used for the day one raid with it, to level stuff.
Sunbracers are also insane pair it with high strength stats, monte carlo and ashes to assets and your a raid boss basically lol.
I love making builds so if you want I can send you some insane stuff :) but that is by top two for Warlock, day one raid tested :)
Having pretty much gotten every IB weapon roll I wanted over the past season/episodes. I was just curious what everyone else is grinding. Any off meta or “sleeper” rolls that don’t get a lot of discussion? I figured it could help players with a ton of engrams that have already gotten there 5/5s in the final shape.
I’m personally looking for a strategist / slice Guiding Sight. Main reasons that I play warlock and the rift cool down is a bit longer than most other classes and the second reason was that I was absolutely getting my butt handed to me a few weeks ago by a player using it in comp. I felt like I was “severed” the entire match.
[Fluted/accurised/slideways/adagio/range MW] Crimil’s
150ish rolls deep, no dice so far. Been using one I got a while ago but with the wrong MW and mag (missing out on 20 range).
I feel stupid. I got a slide/adagio crimils a few days ago and broke up down because I thought adagio sounded stupid on a 120 HC. I thought everyone was going for a precision instrument one.
PI is also a popular choice, adagio is just better imo on 120s however since it turns it into a 2 tap (does the perfect amount of damage where it just about doesn’t break shield on the first hit too so people often don’t realise the next shot will kill). Even ignoring the 2 taps, for team shot purposes doing 120dmg on a crit with a HC is insane. It also allows you to headshot melee for a fast CQC kill. The snowball potential is just crazy too, it lasts for 9seconds enhanced IIRC. It can be helpful especially when you’re trying to do a bit of a carry when paired with OEM for example, winning a duel can give you a 2 tap + over shield which makes the next fight (even if it’s peek shooting against 2 people) quite winnable indeed.
I have this roll except I prefer Zen/Opening shot over adagio, so thats what im still chasing. More difficult than I expected so far.
Wrong masterwork but unless a lucky drop I am done.
Ive spent over 2m glimmer atp focusing it, its not funny any more BUNGIE!
Buckle up. Odds are 1 in 2268 Crimils to land this roll .
Slice stuff is generally thruster titan and hunter exclusive. Every time I try with warlock the uptime just doesnt seem worth the hassle.
One exception could be if you’re running hellion spam on Phoenix dive but yeah RDM Hunter is by far the best.
Sorry mate, just enjoying Severance shit posting wherever I can ^^' My real answer for your post is a Kill Clip Frontiers Cry and a Slice Lethal Abundance.
An adagio crimlins with enough handling to not need to slide first in order to swap to my shotty inside 3 business days.
Was definitely not expecting a severance reference on the crucible sub
I followed Maxroll's Acolyte leveling guide, but I'm looking to transition to an endgame build. The ladder seems to almost exclusively have Torment Cyhonic Fissure, which is fine, but I was wondering if there anything else.

https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BMgw9pPA plugging my homebrew because its kicking ass in monos. Just need to find more max health to scale that ward up...
What corruption is yourt homebrew doing ? Thx.
just breaking into the 200s, only just recently learned about the needle push to fast track orobyss spawns so will prolly fast track it to 350s and see how it feels
Thanks ill check these out.
I am a hunter and my friend is going to be a new light warlock, I know hunters go good with precision weapons.
What weapons do you recommend using?
I'd save Void weapons for NezSin when they eventually get it, very fun and simple.
I play Stormcaller 99% of the time, with a Crown of Tempests equipped 99% of the time. But I also keep a Nezarec's on me at all times, it's just too much damn fun.
I personally have been using top tree dawn with a demo martyrs retribution with sunbracers and wrath of Rasputin. Thags some of the best ad clear in the game
I like looking out for weapons with demolitionist
Fighting lion + nezarec. Just fighting lion in general.
/r/fightingLion. Become a brother with us and share in the glory that is the lion.
I'm so going to get downvoted for this but unless you do high end team shit, rock whatever you like.
Sincerely,
A prometheus lens/jotunn, breachlight, some obscure rocket launcher wielding warlock.
I couldnt care less about the meta. If it pews ina away I like, Im rocking it. (riskrunner is my fav)
It’s a game use whatever the fuck you want, and have fun.
I'm a returning player as The Final Shape was free on PS+ last month, I've seen tier lists of the best weapons but I don't have access to 99% of them as they're seasonal activity drops or dungeon loot.
I'd appreciate some guidance on the best weapons I should be trying to get before the new season next week. Thanks!
I'd generally start with Weapons from Onslaught if I were starting out.
Lots of great stuff from that loot pool and it's currently focusable at Zavala.
Dares of Eternity has some solid weapons as well.
A good roll of anything in either of those activities will still work pretty well.
As someone else here said, run through the campaigns that are gonna be free for a week, then go for Dares of Eternity and Rite of the Nine matchmade explorer while you can, you can get some solid weapons there.
Starting tomorrow all expansions will be free to play until the 22nd and all 3 episodes until 15th
+1 for Onslaught and RotN weapons. Blast Furnace is still a great pulse rifle, Luna's Howl is one of the best feeling hc's to me as a controller player, and you can grab some decent rolls of judgement and prosecutor from the chests or the dungeon.
I'm wondering what would be the best weapon to get for a hexblade PotB Warlock in act 3, I know that shadow blade is really good but i'm wondering what else there is.
Sarevok's Sword is good for survivability/tankiness but of course piercing weapons like Duelist Prerogative are mega-damage if you wear the Bhaalist Armor.
Alternative mega-damage is Shadow Blade with Resonance Stone.
If not using the Shadow Blade, your best bet is to combine the Bhaalist Armor with Great Weapon Master. Any piercing 2h weapon works; as much as some people may insist Shar's Spear is mandatory, you can get away with any Spear, Pike, or Trident you like - a huge chunk of your damage per swing is the 20 piercing damage from the aura+feat combo.
I really liked Bladelock multiclass with Sword Bard for Slashing Fluorishes.
For this multiclass, pikes, like the Breaching Pikestaff, were absolutely the best choice, as their reach would allow to reliably "skewer" through 2 enemies (one in front, the other further back) with each strike.
Far more reliable then trying to hit 2 enemies standing nearby.
That's an excellent note. I'll add on to this: It's entirely viable to take this route with a Half-Elf or Human Swords Bard in the early game, since Civil Militia gives Pike proficiency and the Unseen Menace from the Creche is the best Pike for a huge chunk of the game (due to its built in advantage, it doesn't really get upstaged until you're paralyzing entire rooms for auto crit, or at all if you aren't).
Duelists prerogative. Get bhaalist armor and it does doubled damage
Definitely take Sentinel if you go this route. If you don't have Haste (yet) when it triggers, the reaction attack will benefit from Extra Attack.
Returning player, I got the Still Hunt on hunter with celestial hawk but for everything else I just have no clue what to use. Every time I come back I go through this struggle, the amount of weapons and methods to acquire them is just totally overwhelming.
I typically just use whatever legendary primary and heavy I have picked up. Anytime I look up videos on best weapons or highest dps they’re all exotics.
What are a handful of good legendaries I should focus on getting? Anything from the arena breach? Or even exotics, are there any must haves?
My list is not exhaustive, but rather covers the vast majority of situations and necessary components of loadouts. There are some weapons which are side-grades or work for specific strategies not listed below. (Ex. Cataphract is a sidegrade to edge transit, but strand). Here’s my list:
Rocket sidearms The Call - TFS destination Indebted Kindness - warlords ruin dungeon
Auto Rifles Khvostov - TFS quest (also has an exotic version) Rufus’ fury - Root Of Nightmares raid No Hesitation - TFS destination
Hand cannons Midnight Coup - onslaught Fatebringer - vault of glass raid Zaouli’s bane - kings fall raid Sun shot - exotic Malfeasance - exotic Wardens law - nightfalls (only needed if you’re a hunter) Ace of spades - exotic Thorn - exotic
Pulse rifles Blast furnace - onslaught Nullify - Salvation’s edge raid Outbreak perfected - exotic (zero hour mission)
SMGs Riskrunner - exotic Calus mini tool - season of the haunted/ banshee Submission - vow of the disciple raid
Sidearms Forerunner - exotic Drang - season of the haunted/ banshee
Scout rifles Hung Jury - onslaught
Bow Trinity ghoul - exotic No denouement - salvations edge raid Leviathans breath - exotic
Sniper rifles Supremacy - last wish raid Succession - deep stone crypt raid Izanagis burden - exotic Still hunt - TFS quest exotic Whisper of the worm - exotic (whisper mission)
Shotguns Heritage - deep stone crypt raid Conditional finality - root of nightmares exotic Ikelos SG - season do the seraph / banshee Tractor cannon - exotic
Trace rifles Agers Scepter - exotic Appetence - season of the wish / banshee Acasias deception - root of nightmares raid
Fusion rifles Riptide - crucible Cartesian coordinate - world drop/ banshee Bastion - exotic
Swords Ergo sum - exotic sword from TFS The other half - eager edge sword from 30th anniversary pack Falling guillotine - onslaught Lament - beyond light exotic
Grenade launchers Mountaintop - onslaught Forbearance - onslaught/ vow of the disciple raid Witherhoard - exotic Edge transit - onslaught
Machine guns Commemoration - deep stone crypt raid Xenophage - shadowkeep dungeon exotic THUNDERLORD - exotic
Linear fusion rifles Euphony - Salvation’s edge exotic Briars contempt - root of nightmares raid Cataclysmic - vow of the disciple raid Arbalest - exotic
Rocket launcher Apex predator - last wish raid Gjallarhorn - 30th anniversary
Hope this helps.
Nice thanks
No prob. If you’re looking for general loot, my suggestion is to start with onslaught as there’s a lot of good loot there. Then move onto TFS destination weapons. Then try and get some raid weapons. Deep Stone Crypt and Root of Nightmares are the easiest raids to do and both have plenty of good loot. Then go for the Vow and Salvation’s Edge when you’ve got a bigger arsenal.
I've also found Graviton Lance slaps hard right now. Been enjoying that quite a bit but I'll have to give ol Outbreak a go.
For just standard PVE, The Call / Sunshot or Graviton / Edge Transit or Pro Memoria is a great all round combo.
What about for more advanced PvE?
I often feel like a dead weight in Nightfalls, Dungeons, Raids. Maybe the questions is more complex than “what gun?”. I know there are builds like the Still Hawk which go over super build, gear, and dps boss weapon but they don’t really go into the primary or heavy you pair with it.
I would aim for this:
The Call Your choice of a kinetic
Then for heavies: Craft a promemoria with recon/bait and switch
Farm onslaught for edge transit with a good roll, look online
Keep an eye out on crux termination for good rolls, it's a world drop, or use gjallahorn
Basically anything from The Pale Heart destination is amazing. The Sidearm, Hand cannon, and Auto Rifle especially
That machine gun goes brrr too
This is my favorite machine gun besides retrofit escapade
Yeah I love the machine gun
The Call is fantastic. It’s a strand sidearm that shoots grenades. It goes in the kinetic slot. Once you get one, you will see why. The Khvostov legendary and exotic are both great as well. The legendary is very customizable. They both take some work to get but I highly recommend acquiring them.
So I just came back after a hiatus, I didn't play Witch Queen or Lightfall so there's a lot I missed out on in terms of good DPS weapons. I see a lot of people talking about Edge Transit or Apex Predator but it seems like those are random rolls so I'm not sure how difficult it would be to acquire them. But I know they added crafting but I'm not totally sure how it works and If i can craft godrolls for these weapons. Thanks anyone for any help.
Rockets are right now really good. I would recommend in the long run trying to get an apex predator with reconstruction bait and switch. In the mean time you can grab an Ascendancy from the exotic kiosk (it's legendary). Use impulse amplifier explosive light. It's good enough for most things.
For granade launcher and sword (because in some cases they are preferred) I would just do some onslaught and try get an edge transit and a falling guillotine. They drop often. Just try get bait and switch on the edge transit.
Apex is awesome but yes it takes a bit of getting. Excellent and easily attainable is the Marsilion-C bought from Banshee. I personally prefer:
Quick launch
Mini frags (augmented drum is good too)
Envious Assassin
Impulse Amplifier
Backup mag
With the right setup you can put out a stupid 32 grenades (I put on double solar reserves) in less than 15 seconds!
Cataphract GL3 is also a solid choice. And can roll with envious/bait and switch. It’s a Trials weapon though so it’s less easy to get a good roll, unless trials are your thing.
You can also go explosive light or cascade point instead of impulse amplifier. I think it’s 8 shots that can be fired off when cascade point I activated? Strong option to run the still hunt combo if you don’t have Apex Predator unlocked.
apex predator is still good. it's craftable, but you missed your chance last week to farm red borders. have to wait until last wish comes back around as the featured dungeon
Easy ones to get from The Pale Heart and craftable are Special Ammo The Call, and Heavy Ammo Pro Memoria.
Apex, Edge, Supremacy, Succession, supposedly The Call.
Run survival, reach Fabled, get 100 wins in any crucible mode, collect THE Recluse. Profit
Recluse, sunshot, any trace rifle really, ace of spades, last word, izanagi, truth. Just to name a few, and you need to do quests, or get a random drops.
Did the buff make sunshot that much better. Loved it in year 1 but it got overshadowed in year 2.
It's always been amazing, but now you have 12 shots, which is really good. Also the damage fall off nerfed the other hand cannons, but the explosive rounds damage never falls off. So it inadvertently got a little buff.
Recluse - Sell your soul to the Devil or reach Fabled in Comp.
21% delirium from gambit grind. Ace of spades from banshee if you have forsaken. Jotun from black armoury
