TL;DR
Luxury and Ambiance
If you're looking for a luxurious experience with top-notch amenities, several casinos stand out. The Wynn is frequently mentioned as one of the nicest casinos on the strip due to its elegant atmosphere and excellent drink service [2:1]
[2:4]. The Bellagio and Venetian are also highly recommended for their expansive gaming floors and beautiful settings
[1:3]. The Cosmopolitan is noted for its vibrant vibe and house music, making it a popular choice among visitors
[2:9].
Slot Machines and Payouts
For those primarily interested in playing slots, it's important to note that the strip generally offers worse machine paybacks compared to downtown or off-strip locations [1:4]. Casinos like Red Rock and South Point are known for having better payouts and a more relaxed atmosphere
[3:6]
[4:1]. Downtown areas like Fremont Street might offer looser slots than the strip
[5:3].
Poker Rooms
For poker enthusiasts, the Aria and Bellagio are popular choices for cash games, offering higher buy-ins and well-maintained rooms [4:2]
[4:3]. The Wynn and Venetian also have reputable poker rooms
[4:4]. Off-strip casinos like South Point can be profitable due to fewer grinders and more locals
[4:1].
Non-Strip Options
For those looking to explore beyond the strip, Red Rock is a favorite non-strip casino, praised for its IMAX theater and dining options [3:1]
[3:6]. Green Valley Ranch and South Point are other notable mentions for their amenities and overall experience
[3:4]
[3:5].
Budget Considerations
If budget is a concern, consider exploring multiple casinos to enjoy the ambiance without committing large sums to gambling. Dropping small amounts at various locations can enhance your experience without significant financial risk [5:4]. Additionally, some users recommend online casinos for convenience and potentially better odds
[5:2].
Club Fortune in Henderson. All the free second-hand smoke you can handle.
How much do you expect to pay per night for your stay?
Vegas, compared to most major cities has very inexpensive hotel rooms for the star rating. Almost every casino has the same basic games, but the ones with the bigger gaming floors have more options.
If money is not an issue, stay at Wynn, Bellagio, or Venetian. All have huge gaming floors filled with thousands of slot machines.
Caesars is nice too, but, in my opinion anyway, I hate the way the gaming floor is sliced up and the slot selection isn't amazing. Hotel rooms are nice and service is good, however.
Flamingo, The Linq, Harrahs, and Bally's are all inexpensive and have a fair amount of games but are not as large as the ones mentioned above. Same should be said for T.I, Mirage, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor.
You can walk from casino to casino, so if you don't like the one you're in, just walk next door.
Okay lol I’m staying at the Venetian
Totally agreed. Cesar's gaming floor gets kind of confusing if you're not familiar.
The strip will have the worst machine paybacks. Downtown a little better. Off the strip much better.
Best selection?
Best payouts?
Best hookers?
Best drinks?
Best comps?
Best hotel rooms?
Best carpet?
Best music?
WTF do you mean by best?
Best payouts
Terrible’s
Not for winning the most amount of money, but for how nice it is and how much fun.
If you like being able to breathe, Park MGM.
New York New York is small, and I like the cobblestone streets and building facades in the restaurant area.
Cosmo is awesome, as everyone always says.
Planet Hollywood is youthful and glitzy, but I tend to get turned around in there and can't ever find the right exit.
Planet Hollywood is getting a little trashy and rundown.
Yeah I dunno what this person is talking about. I stayed there last January, really trashy casino floor
El Cortez. That smell will remind you of Vegas forever
Main Street Station is super nice but has been dead since COVID
If you want nice, the Wynn.
I think the drink service there is the best I’ve had on the strip too.
Yes, at the end of the day it’s a bit rich for my blood but the place is incredibly nice. For reference, we stay at Mandalay Bay, always. Craps is usually $25 in the evening.
Cosmo is always fun for me. Lots of people and a good vibe. I usually like their house music too.
I like Cosmo too
In no particular order: Wynn, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, Park, Venetian, Aria.
Red Rock is mine.
Durango -love their sports bar
Red Rock - 4DX Movie theater
Last time I was in town and at red rock I was at shake shack and had a heard of Barbie theater goers come in and they all talked about how it was the best theater in town.
I like the palms imax theater
Its the only true Imax in Vegas.
I like Cinebarre at Palace Station.
South Point
Agree. Cheap poker, Steak and Shake right next to it.
Love the cafe for breakfast, overall relatively inexpensive food and like the stuff they do in the arenas. Southpoint!
Give the person a raise who decided to put the ice cream parlor next to the sportsbook. I love grabbing a shake and watching football on Sundays.
We have been big M supporters but this year may be switching to South Point.
i like the M a lot but feel like it doesn’t have as much to do compared to south point.
Green Valley Ranch
For small stakes, medium, and high. Whats the most fun, whats the most profitable, whats the nittiest?
I only play 1/3 but I like Aria and Encore the most. Higher buy-ins than a lot of other places ($500 max for 1/3). Nicest looking rooms. Encore has good drink service.
Can only vouch for Aria 1/3 and bellagio 2/5. Bellagio 1/3 can be a little nitty. Games are as good as the people in them. If you don’t like your table, just switch!
Wynn and Venetian with the Aria just behind.
1/3 bellagio!
Fun: Golden Nugget has a small room with an uncapped 1/2 game which can get really good, but usually it's just like a regular 1/2 game, with maybe some deeper stacks. However it's in the middle of the freak central that's downtown, so there is usually many drunks and party people. On the strip, I would look for the more casual-friendly rooms like Horseshoe or Planet Hollywood.
Profitability: Depends on what stakes you're looking to play, but I really like the off-strip casinos where there's usually more locals and less grinders. South Point is a personal favorite. Red Rock and Orleans also have really nice rooms, but I'm not sure if they often have anything larger than 1/3.
Nittiest: The larger rooms (Aria/Bellagio/Wynn) are incredibly nice and well located, and thus become full of regs similarly, so you may find even a 2/5 game with mostly tight pros.
thank you!
Planning a trip to Vegas soon, and I want to know the best casinos to go to. Preferably the ones with the loosest slots lol. it’ll be my first time, and I won’t have the most extensive budget so I need to choose wisely 🤣
The "best" casino really depends on what you're looking for. If you're focused on loose slots and want to maximize your budget, I'd actually avoid the pricier strip casinos altogether. The slots aren't generally any looser and you'll burn through your bankroll faster with expensive drinks, meals, etc.
I switched from Vegas trips to playing online years ago. The convenience of playing from home and not having to deal with smoky casinos, huge crowds, and getting nickeled-and-dimed made it an easy call.
Give BitStarz a look if you want a vegas-style experience without the hassles, they have top providers in stock (pragmatic play, evolution, microgaming etc)
Loosest slots are probably off the Vegas strip or in Downtown area. Also, high roller slots/wagers typically have a higher RTP
Same thing for non-slot gambling such as: single zero roulette with partage rule --- only in high roller dens
Nicest hotels on the Strip:
Wynn/Encore - The nicest overall, also best dayclub, and my 2nd favorite night club (after Zouk). Close to Venetian/Palazzo and Resort World, but far from all else.
Cosmopolitan - Only top tier hotel on the strip with balconies. Great location, and finding good eats is easy enough. Has a more fun/youngish type vibe in my opinion. The gambling can suck sometimes due to how dense it is and smokers.
Aria - Sky Suites are top tier, Din Tai Fung is always great to eat at. Good location as well.
Resorts World - Nice overall, but luxury mall-type of vibe. Less fond of their food options (except for their late night Pizza, which is probably the best on the strip) compared to the other hotels listed.
Palazzo/Venetian - Overall, relatively nice with plenty of eating options and gambling
Suggestion based off your post:
I would say first checkout the Vdara. It's right nextdoor to Aria (basically, consider it as another tower) and offers a suite (washer/dryer, kitchen). Cheaper than Aria/Cosmo/Wynn.
I like cosmo a lot for the vibe + balconies
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Probably wherever you’re staying. I play at the cosmo, also like aria. Planet Hollywood used to be a lot of fun but it was pretty dumpy when I was there this month. Honestly don’t plan on winning, just enjoy your time and consider any money you gamble as spent
Smart words right here. I have only been there twice and both this year and learned from the first one. You can gamble anywhere in Vegas but if you are limited on a budget just enjoy the experience. Check out as many casinos on the strip. Cesears place is fun to walk through and the Bellagio as well. So much to just take in and drop 20 here 30 there. Maybe you'll get a bonus and get up, but probably not and move on.
Hahahaha ... loose slots .... hahahahahahaha
Wait ... you're serious?
Wishful thinking 😅
Ellis Island is closest to the strip so either that or go to Fremont street
I used to go to vegas but now I just play at home on Katsubet
Going to Vegas at the end of August and Im wondering wheres the best casino for low-stakes poker? I play casually, so I’m just looking for the best experience really. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
Most 1/2 and 1/3 games are the same from the player pool quality perspective.
Wynn poker room (in Encore) is one of the nicest and cleanest rooms ever. The 2/5 game is filled with regs but the 1/3 usually have fun/happy/drunk players in most hours.
That said, if it’s your first time in Vegas, and you want to play poker, I definitely recommend playing around, at least in Wynn (because it’s the nicest), Bellagio (it’s legendary, you sit next to Bobby’s room), Resorts World (the most recent room), Golden Nugget (to get an experience of old school poker rooms) and Venetian (a beautiful casino, with a cluttered old poker room under the stairs).
Sounds great man! Thanks a mil for all the details too, appreciate it!
All of these descriptions are spot on. Take the deuce bus to the nugget if you are staying on the strip and play the nugget at least once. Fremont street is worth seeing at least once per trip, IMHO. Venetian/Wynn/Bellagio are all nice. Skip Caesar's Palace because although the rake is lower the room is surrounded by super loud slot machines and it is quite a walk.
Do you know what casinos would be best for plo of the same stakes?
Sorry. I don’t. I’d like to know too!
The Venetia had the most passive tables I played on when I was there last. Very very passive, people be limping literally every two cards.
How much would you recommend for starting stack? Just trying to budget myself whilst working over in the states.
They are all the same. Low stakes is for fish only.
costco makes a good clam chowder
I farted
They will all be good at $1/$2 or $1/$3. Biggest rooms are Bellagio, Resorts World, Venetian, Wynn and Aria. I play higher stakes and usually only play at Bellagio, Red Rock, Aria or Wynn as they have the most games. If you like tournaments hit the South Pointe as they have a big room and good tournaments.
I’m going to LA later this year for a few weeks and looking at booking accommodation near one of the casinos and playing probably too much poker. Which casinos have the best 5/5 and what’s the rake like in LA?
Hustler or commerce
Gardens is worth checking out too
I’ve played at every Poker room in vegas for years. I’m a local.
Here are my rankings from best to worst places to play in terms of competition, how nice the room is, and how the dynamics of the overall play is:
Said it before and I'll say it again, MGM Grand has the softest games youll ever find.
Not the nicest room, but I've spent at least 80% of my time playing low stakes in Vegas there, because the games are fantastic.
For every reg that knows what ranges are, there are 3 drunk tourists, one person dropping in with their pockets full of chips from the roulette table and 2 degenerate gambling Asian business men
On the weekends that 1/2 uncapped game is the softest on the strip for sure.
Planet Hollywood is a thousand times better than Caesars. Same games but PH is softer, much nicer, bigger, roomier, easier to find, faster cocktail service, and because they’re spreading more tables it’s a shorter wait.
lol at Venetian being listed in the last ranking. Venetian is a beautiful room.
It is, but it doesn’t get the quality games it used to Still, ranking it below The Orleans, which is a total dump, is crazy.
I played there all weekend a couple of weeks ago and the 3/5 and 2/3 were rhe softest I've ever played. My friend made 10k in the double board bomb pot game.
Oh, you mean the mall poker room?
What dynamics? I have some quibbles with some of their policies (such as players buying in at the table from the well), but overall it's an excellent room IMO.
Edit: scrolling through I see some complaints about the promotions and dynamics created by the promos... this can be true, but if you play 3/5 it's no longer a problem since there's no promo.
Compared to The Orleans or Westgate? Obviously not.
Wynn for the win.
Is this list for cash game like 1/2-1/3-2/5??
It's actually decent for what it is. Also happens to be the only casino in Vegas I'm actually fully banned from.
Get away from the strip. Red Rock is a local favorite, want newer? Then Durango. Both are STN properties.
South Point, Green Valley Ranch, Silverton, Aliante.
Been to Vegas many times but only just visited GVR last month. Property is HUGE and really nice!
Agreed that Sahara is great on Strip.
I wouldn't go so far as to say it sucks, but it's the opposite of underrated. It's a bland property with bland restaurants that appeals to bland boomers. It's the Olive Garden of casinos
Same. I usually stay at the Cosmo or Venetian. I tried the Sahara last trip and had a great time. All the food was delicious and reasonable. Had a blast at the bar and pool. Room was clean comfortable and had a fridge. The casino was small but not crowded. I plan on going back. The only downside was the check in, it took forever.
And the attached Bass Pro Shop is a nice touch. After you hit it big, you can go through their casino side entrance and shop for a shiny new boat.
How are the comps vs. say MGM or CET?
Ours too! We love it there and the only place we stay. Glad to see it was the top comment
Balla was great. We liked Chickie's and Pete's too.
I’d put South Point up against any strip hotel
First time visiting Vegas. What are the most beautiful casinos that I 100 percent must visit? There's over 100 casinos from what I heard and I can't do them all obviously. Wanna hear from locals.
Very Nice
Not As Nice, But Very Historical/Significant to Las Vegas
Agree. Wynn and Bellagio for sure. Go in the garden in the back of the Flamingo. Lots of flamingos and jasmine bushes. I could hang there for hours.
7 bit casino is good no issues with withdrawals ever.
I now play online at 7bitcasino
agree katsubet is a good crypto casino
Nice on a budget
• NYNY
• Park MGM
Cosmo blew my mind the first time walking through it. It’s on a whole different level than the other strip casinos/hotels imo
Circus circus. Definitely check out the area around the Strat. At night it’s beautiful.
Circus Circus is quite old school. Hope it’s still trashy—I kind of love it. I gather it got purchased and will be renovated at some point.
Just watched Safiya Nygaard+ husband videos on YouTube review of all large resorts on the Strip - the Bellagio looks pretty nice.
My absolute favorites are online platforms like these. I don’t like land-based clubs because they’re too crowded…
For the most beautiful casinos in Vegas, you can't miss the Bellagio and Encore.
The Bellagio's lobby is stunning with Dale Chihuly glass art on the ceiling. Don't forget to catch one of the iconic dancing fountain shows out front too.
Encore oozes luxury and sophistication. Sun-filled casino floor, gourmet restaurants, lavish design details - Wynn properties always impress.
