TL;DR
MK14 Dominance
The MK14 consistently emerges as a top choice among players. It is praised for its versatility, being a DMR with full-auto capability, which allows it to excel in various combat scenarios [1:3]
[1:8]. Its powerful shots can be intimidating, and the addition of canted sights has further enhanced its reputation
[1:7]. Players appreciate its ability to deliver high damage, making it a formidable weapon in both close and long-range engagements
[4:1].
Personal Preference and Playstyle
Many players emphasize that the best weapon is subjective and depends on individual comfort and playstyle [1]
[2:3]. While some players may excel with the MK14, others might find weapons like the UMP9 or M416 more suited to their style
[2:3]. Mastery of a particular weapon's recoil and handling can make it the best choice for a player, regardless of its statistical superiority
[1].
Other Notable Weapons
Several other guns are frequently mentioned as strong contenders:
Crate Weapons
Crate weapons generally hold a higher status due to their superior stats. Apart from the MK14, the P90 and MG3 are also highly regarded for their performance [4:3]. These weapons offer unique advantages but require strategic gameplay to acquire and utilize effectively.
Conclusion
While the MK14 stands out as a favorite due to its power and versatility, the best gun in PUBG ultimately depends on your personal skill and how well you adapt to its mechanics. Experimenting with different weapons and finding the one that complements your playstyle will enhance your overall gameplay experience.
The best weapon in Pubg is the one that you’re the most consistent and comfortable with. It is the gun whose recoil you have almost mastered and whose kick almost feels second nature to you. It is the weapon that YOU find the most enjoyable.
While I do believe that it is important to be proficient with all weapons, I also believe that it’s just as important knowing the ins and out of one particular gun. Be good with an AK, be decent with an M416, hit shots with the Kar, but be a freaking animal with a Vector or SKS.
Mastering one weapon will help you realize your strengths and weaknesses as a player and as you get better, you can start to clean up certain aspects of your gameplay. Improve your skills one step at a time. Nail down close quarter combat, then slowly move up to longer ranges. Your goal is consistency in one area so you can move on to the next.
I spent a lot of time playing with solely the M16 knowing it’s not as efficient as it’s 5.56 brethren, but I taught myself consistency with hitting single shots. After a while, I can reliable tag targets with a gun that many people consider to be inferior. Do I always kill my targets? Not always, but I am able to go into fights feeling confident that I will land my shots.
It’s hard to be consistent in an unforgiving and sometimes quite random game like Pubg, but being very good with a weapon you enjoy can help you gain some control.
I used to hate on the M16 like everybody else.
Before Vikendi came out you could pretty much always find an SKS, Mini, QBU ect to take instead of the M16.
On Vikendi with the limited SR/DMR spawns, in a large percentage of your matches you wont find one early to mid game. I have gotten so used to using the M16 as my "DMR" with a 4x I actually have started to really like finding one.
M16 is the poors man DMR.
Nope it's the MK14... that weapon is god like.
Yes, can confirm. This is THE weapon in the game.
MK14 sounds amazingly realistic when you hear it third person firing in the distance. Best gun sound imo. Powerful and highly intimidating and sexy too.
Ever since they added canted sights, that was the indirect buff to make MK14 go from amazing to god-tier status.
No lie, it probably is. 20-bullet magazine full auto DMR? The only thing it doesn't do is oneshot T2 and T3 helmets, and there are only 3 weapons that do that, all which are bolt action. The weapon is actually insane.
I agree. Heck. To this day I get most of my kills with the Uzi. With snipers I can't hit a damn thing, same with most assault rifles. Pistols and uzi are the way to rock and roll for me.
100% agree OP.
As a photographer I encounter a lot of people who say, for example "Canon is better than Nikon", or vice versa. The only thing this reveals is that the person is ignorant to the nuances of the market and is suffering from Dunning-Kruger style inflated confidence in their own knowledge.
But even when I tell them this, my teammates won't stop berating me from my Win94+Win94+Sawed Off loadout. It's so annoying.
Um...are you one of my squad mates? Cause this is what he does...or Crossbow+Crosswbow+pistol.
I wish I was. Overall I'm pretty trash but I'll never forget that time when I John wicked an entire geared up squad with a pistol while in my undies.
I think there is a sort of a mental upper hand that I might have. As in people hear my pistol and tend to rush in very haphazardly only to get sprayed down with an Uzi or shot in the butt with an m9. I guess it also helps when I always yell in panic with an open Mic.
Pubg will be the death of me one day. My heart rate goes hyper mode when someone shoots in my general direction.
Even tho this is true in the aspect of one individual with his current skill set. With this said there still is a weapon which is the best depending on playstyle, you might not master it right now but it just is. One example could be kar vs m24. You might be more consistent with the kar bullet speed/drop but the m24 is objectively a better weapon in every aspect.
Thanks!!
I wanna get a higher KD
Also pls say the attachments to use
tbh i don't think pubg is really about kd like there's 6 different kds to look at I've never been bothered. In my opinion the best all around gun is the m4 but if you have good control then 1000000% groza! Groza is the most deadly gun according to the tests of wackyjacky and i definitely agree.
Best gun = the one you comfortable with.
I could say UMP is the best for me but not necessarily good for you. My usual set are UMP and M4. I have bad reflects, those weapons fit me right away in close combat (panic mode) or sniping. I can't even use full rifle. All UMP and M4 attachments are the easiest to find too, including 9mm and 5.56mm ammo.
Honestly this depends on your personal preferences + what your trying to do. You can’t say the Vector is better than the SKS because they are 2 very different guns that serve a different purpose in the game.
Here are my favs for each category:
Pistols: P18C (Glock), since it’s the only fully automatic pistol, but don’t use pistols unless you wanna die
Shotguns: S12K, does less damage than the others but if you miss 2 shots with S686, you have to reload and S1897 has the pump-action. S12K is semi auto and can hold up to 8 shots
SMGs: UMP9 if you don’t have attachments, but when fully customized, Vector becomes better (the extended mag is vital when using the Vector, 13 bullets is not enough with such high rate of fire). SMGs are meant for close range and the vector absolutely deletes people at short distances
ARs: M416 is my favorite, it’s great at any distance. SCAR-L is very similar to the M4. I’m not a fan of the M16A4 because of the 3-shot burst, but that depends on your preference. Groza is the definitely the best 7.62 AR, however it’s only found in airdrops.
DMRs: Mini14 is my favorite DMR despite low damage. The low recoil + highest bullet velocity in the game means it’s super easy to control. Of course MK14 is also an amazing weapon, you can even put it on full auto mode, put on a red dot and extended mag, and use it as your main weapon
Bolt-Action Snipers: AWM, if you headshot someone, they are dead no matter what they are wearing and how much health they have. It only takes 2 shots to kill an enemy wearing a lvl. 3 vest
Melee: Pan. What else? Not only does it block bullets, but when you win, you can cook your chicken dinner ;)
i like how i agreed with every gun preference
It's all personal preference dude.
And situation.
These! kisses biceps
The most profitable weapon I have found to use in the whole game after 8,000+ matches is the mosin with SNB ammo. The SNB ammo and long barrel combo allow for 1 shot kills to t4 armor or less and 2 shots to t5 and 3 shots to t6. The gun Cost 10,000 koen to buy on market, then paired with t3 armor and cheap gear I’m only 35k going into a match. Sometimes I come out with 500k+ loot value.
MP5.
Cheap but not too cheap, versatile, reliable, dominator of Port with cheap T3 to boot. Looks nice, low recoil, very easily concealed and carried when you stumble across a better alternative.
The dumdum ttk is hard to beat on clean leg shots.
Not so much of a fan of the fact that whenever people hear or see MP5 they think dumdum, I much rather run T3/T4, but it is what it is.
Besides they're nerfing leg spread and increasing torso health next season
Mine the m14 and m16
I love m16, but for the price I usually just go with a full auto like m4, or scar
Not surprised that mosin gives huge margins, what do you think about the new mosin stuff coming in s8?
Sg550 I might get flamed for this but it's a good gun that you can max it out at a pretty cheap price and that recoil is manageable but the problem is the magazine capacity.
Bruh. We should roast you. The basic model is pretty good but if I put any koen into a gin it better have good stats lol
Understandable. It has power, a good scope and is reliable, the only Problem I have would be that the reload time is crap.
Try reloading it directly to ur bag, the animation makes it longer
Just remember to switch to your secondary primary, pistol, or knife
S8 give the mosin a new attachment, which is another modern polymer body. It is more expensive than the one we have now, gives more ergo, allows for the installation of some new attachments including a bipod.
personally so far, i consider the vector, awm, aug,mk14 all S tier.
vector shreds stupid hard with low recoil, awm and aug speak for themselves and the mk14 just has stupid stats in any scenario.
All the crate weapons are good, I always loot them even if I am bringing a different type of ammunition.
Now for normal spawn weapons I really love the Mk12's ability to quickly shred someone from a distance because of the bipod and after that I like the VSS for the sneaky + confusion factor.
The VSS is so broken it’s insane
It seems pretty well balanced to me...
Not sure why you think it’s broken.
Crate weapons, but even among those MK/P90/MG3 stand at the pinnacle.
P90 first and mk14 second would be my choice.
Vector is good close combat. A bit distance and it is ass
Honestly yeah. Even the Uzi FEELS like it has more range. (Using it at range is obviously not optimal)
Strongest without a doubt - MK14, then all crate weapons
My fav/strongest/what I’m best with (in that order):
For instance MDR 7.62 or spear? The ammo that can't be put on flea is really good so I thought maybe those weapons are too? I'm playing PVE and wiped my progress; before I only played with traders but when I unlocked them all I started playing with flea, are after my wipe I'm soon 15 and want to buy "the best" guns.
Which weapons do you consider to be the best?
The best is what you can consistently hit your shots with and access enough decent ammo for.
My recommendation is to build whatever guns you can to see what you enjoy. As soon as I hit 15, I built a metal m4, rd 704, mutant, and Sr 25. Then I just used them all to see which I liked. Kept the ones I liked. Sold the ones I didnt. I'd recommend at least 1 build per caliber so you aren't stuck using shitty ammo in a good gun.
If you get a 7.62 MDR or Spear, just hold on to them. It's pve, so insurance always comes back.
Not to answer your question at all but I was just thinking about this today, I feel like I should’ve started with no Flea for my pve run as well
Seems like it would probably be more entertaining that way. Especially with hideout items being fir only
Is there a way to permanently turn the flea to traders only?
Idk how far you are but what I did was reset my account and play with a duo with specific rules.
It's made the game a lot more fun instead of completely trivialized
Ammo make the gun, but some guns can shoot good ammo fast.
MDR with 7.62 NATO is good, because it’s ammo is good (M80and up) and it can fit a 50 round mag. But those three things are not allowed on flea. Either one alone is not “the best.”
But by going by good rounds/min, we could include the AVT or any of the LMG’s shooting 7.62x39 or higher.
The best is totally up to what you are doing. A fully kitted 7.62 is better for bossing, but very expensive for the ammo alone. That 50 round mag is also incredibly expensive for a barter (iirc it might even be the one that is FiR only).
If you aren’t hunting bosses or cultists, anything 5.56 or even 5.35 will do .
A counter example is the SPEAR. You have to go far up the lightkeeper task tree to unlock it via trader, and its ammo is still only good up to level 5 armor. I wouldn’t use it against Gluhar for example. Stupid expensive and rare, but not as good as things more “readily available” like M80A1 and any automatic gun that uses it.
Honestly, I recommend checking what ammo is worthwhile and then seeing what guns run it that tickle your fancy.
Mate where on earth is M80A1 "readily available" haha I've found probs two full stacks max since they introduced it, not even close to being enough to think about running it in anything but a bolty haha
Labs, you can pull a couple hundred a run in PvE pretty easy, I did something like 56 raids in a row without dying until my buddy shot me in the head haha
X17 feels great. I’ve been trying to tell my discord this but they are all stuck in the past. MDR feels like doo doo in my hands.
Is the x17 worth it if your it gonna use the big mags? Or can I save some money and run the regular scar
Regular scar is still good, but x17 has better stats like for like
No point in running x17 if u dont run the big mag
At least it's not in the bottom of the pool like the FAL...
Hi people,
I come back from a Long break, just wanted to know which are the best weapons at the Moment? Loot crate and world spawn?
Thanks
Currently the meta is AR+DMR, but keep in mind - every gun in PUBG can kill the fuck out of people, so if you find yourself enjoying or controlling something better than the rest, just use what feels good.
I, and most players I know, prefer not to be on "split ammo" - if I'm using an AUG or M416, I want to be on a Mini-14 or Mk.12; if I'm on a Beryl or ACE32, I want a Dragunov or SLR.
Bolt-action guns aren't considered to be as competitively viable as DMRs, but I really wouldn't call them bad or unusable. One advantage of SRs over DMRs is that you don't need to carry as many rounds of ammo for them. You can use an M4 or AUG alongside a bolt sniper without worrying much about your ammo quantities.
The guns that I think are strictly worse than the competition are the SKS, SCAR, Tommy Gun, DP-28, Win94, and All Pistol-slot weapons (the only one I pick up is the Smoke Gun - MAYBE the Sawed-Off).
Just like any other game, Shotguns are great at Shotgun-range, but don't have the versatility of ARs or even SMGs. SMGs have a better damage modifier than assault rifles when you're hitting mostly limb shots, but you will lose fights to assault rifle players who are hitting torso and headshots.
If you're struggling with recoil control of automatic weapons, I recommend the UMP45.
If you have questions about any specific weapons, feel free to ask. I wish my hands were as good at the game as my brain is at 7k hours played.
EDIT: Just kidding, got home from work and played a few hours on Rondo - Best gun is JS9, by a mile.
If you think the dp28 is shit you clearly never used it. Slap a 3x on there and absolutely melt people. More dps than a beryl and the first couple of shots have no recoil at all, it only escalates if you hold down too long.
I swear people just don’t use it because it looks like it should be a bad gun but it’s essentially a full auto sks without the vertical recoil. Try it for real.
"every gun in PUBG can kill the fuck out of people" - Except the K2... dont run the K2
The scar is a monster and pistols are absolutely great to have, ican't tell you how many fights I win from pulling out a 1911 while someone else tries to reload.
Best weapon is your mind. If you average player stop playing by meta, use your most loved gun
Having fun is #1 priority, people always forgetting that. Glock/scorpion are beast. That 14 round 45 pistol will 4-5 shot someone with full health, I like using the iron sights and just blasting while strafing slowly
Not really.
My favorite part of this game has been that almost any kit can win the game (what I'd call "viable") maybe years ago Bolties were MORE viable than they are today because people weren't as aware or skilled when it comes or 'passive' evasive movement.
Still, pump shotgun+mini14 is as threatening today as it has ever been, and scares me in December 2023.
Basically any loadout has a realistic chance to win the game.
The VSS is objectively powerful, if infuriating to play against sometimes.
In the earliest days of PUBG, a solid argument was that M4+red dot & M4+8X was the beat kit available
This is the answer, Scar might be the best one for you because of the recoil?. If you hit every shot or spray 9/10 bullets in the clouds make a huge difference.
Some people are absolutely filthy with the UMP.
DMR if the target is moving SR if they are standing still?
Go to the training ground and spray 20-50 mags with each gun and don't go with the flow.
I play M249, M4, AUG, Beryl and ACE, the first one I find is my go to that game. On a few occasions I feel like pissing people off and go for the pump shotgun.
I feel like M249 is underrated. Thing just got 150 bullets, massive dps and a bipod. The only bad thing about it is the infernal recoil if not attached a stock. Otherwise, it works marvels for squad-wiping and sending that annoying BDRM2 to hell. Also, forget about missing those shots to that car that is passing mid distance. Just lay on ground and enjoy 4 kills. Same with the MG3, but too short mag, maybe adding 25 bullets more it can be more liked by some players, also has weird recoil, but really useful high dps. In fact, got a friend that has 3+KD and does not like it at all, but he gets shredded in 1v1 against that chainsaw.
This is the history of PUBG. Release a new weapon as completely OP than nerf it later. I mean who really thought it was a good idea to give a micro uzi the accuracy/range of a UMP?
Everyone enjoys playing that, me included. It just shreds to pieces the enemy.
Ace with comp, half grip, heavy stock, and 4x (don’t tell too many people I don’t want it nerfed)
I love my P18 fav secondary
Skorpion is better.
Gonna have to agree. Skorpion is essentially a second smg once kitted.
Yea I love it so much I built one in real life lol.
Flare Gun > Skorpion > Glock > 1911 > DEagle > Beretta > either Revolver > M79
Repair kit>all
Yea that's a pretty sweet pan you got
😂 the best
Hahahaha the ad below your pic said “great shine and value.”
Hey i just found au gun i think it is BEST gun ever and used it at all boss until die to dragun is there a any better gun than au gun?
I feel like Composite Gun does what Au Gun does but better, but as far as best gun overall I'd have to say Dark Marker (if you take synergies into account).
Imo Blackhole gun is the best gun due to how it has quite a good bit of ammo and it dragging bullets away from you just makes it broken and also hilarious to see what happens sometimes (Dragun especially is hilariously broken when you use Blackhole gun)
Au gun is one of the few to not have a DPS cap, I believe, which is why you’re finding it tears through bosses. The answer to your second question is less straightforward; the BEST gun? I don’t enjoy using Au because of the ammo constraint, and typically prefer Yari Launcher/Vulcan/BFG/Glass Cannon from a boss killing capacity and I prefer a LOT of guns to Au for a room clearing focus.
Honestly, I find it to be one of the worse weapons in the game, its usable but by no means a weapon I'd use over something more consistent
Makeshift cannon vs bosses
Va anything really🫣
What would you guys suggest is the best gun, considering damage output, wear on suppressors, rarity of ammo etc.
Really difficult to answer.
Best pistols = Revolver, Battle Ready G-18, Deagle and Deadeye. In some situations Revolver is better.
Best shotgun = Benelli and Exterminator. In some situations Benelli is better.
Best 5.56 = Phantasm (built in scope and silencer), XM250 (built in scope and silencer), Valkyrie and Colonel's Revenge.
Best 7.72 = Crusher, Survivor (built in scope and silencer), and Guardian.
Best 308 = CR308, Marksman's Legacy, and Cerberus. CR308 sometimes can roll better than Guardian.
Best Damage = Barret 50 Cal, Grenade Launcher, and Grenades.
Personal opinion: Best for 5.56 Colonels revenge Best for 7.62 Crusher Best for .308 Marksman kegacy Best for 50 cal should be the Barrett but i like the Lechie more Best for 9mm Battle ready glock
I agree with you on Marksman’s Legacy. Lechie became too hard to manage mags, though it is a very satisfying gun.
Pretty much any legendary gun. They all do similar damage, with the exception being the legendary bolt action guns. Those are the best damage per round in the game, with the Marksman Legacy arguably being the absolute best gun in the game due to its high damage and cheap ammo
My personal favorites, in no particular order:
Some legendaries are, of course, better. The Marksman's Legacy is, no doubt, the best sniper rifle, the Colonel's Revenge is the best assault rifle, and the Exterminator is the best shotgun.
But those weapons I listed carried me through the most difficult part of the game, and, as such, are considered best by my standards.
-> CR308, Cerberus, and Marksman's Legacy also uses 308.
-> Guardian or Cerberus outperforms FN-FAL.
-> XM250 has a bigger capacity than the M249. The Phantasm has a greater firerate and damage, but not as large ammo capacity.
-> Sledgehammer is better than Fireaxe early game. Then Katana is better than both, and that glowing sword usually has the most damage.
It took me so long to work out you can convert ammo types, ie break it down and use gunpowder to make new ammo, so b4 when i mained the cr308, i had a bunch of 762 stockpile and so id use the guardian as it functions similarly to a dmr, but i have to say its nice to have the freedom to choose what platform you want to use thats given by the various crafting benches.
For me it's the cards. There's just so much potential with the weapon
I always try to fall into water/lav/acid and hit the pink ability the moment before I enter water for a cool ending.
Other option is first trap them with green and throw red in a 60° angle up. The green and red timigs perfectly line up
I'll say it again they judge by first use not mastery that weapon is amazing.
Favorite weapon
Boomerang before the buff was S tier already, and also circle saw
Circle saw? What does it do? I personally can't cook with that weapon, mainly because idk what it's ability does. When I activate, it just turns blue and that's all. Can anyone explain what it does?
It makes you a little faster and you can grapple and climb on anything including enemies
The buff did improve the weapon though so it's s+ now
How does the buff work?
Gun is my favorite too
Cards are mid but bombs are peak
lots of people, check the tier lists and see how many of them have cards in F tier
Grapple
best gun in PUBG
Key Considerations for Choosing the Best Gun in PUBG:
Weapon Type: Different types of guns serve different purposes. Assault rifles (ARs) are versatile, while sniper rifles excel at long-range combat.
Damage and Rate of Fire: Look for guns with high damage per shot and a good rate of fire. This combination can be crucial in close-quarters combat.
Recoil Control: Some guns have more manageable recoil, making them easier to control during sustained fire.
Attachments: Consider how well the gun can be equipped with attachments like scopes, grips, and suppressors to enhance its performance.
Personal Playstyle: Your preferred playstyle (aggressive vs. stealthy) will influence the best gun choice.
Top Recommendations:
Assault Rifle: M416 - Known for its balanced stats, the M416 has a high rate of fire, manageable recoil, and can be equipped with various attachments, making it a favorite among players.
Sniper Rifle: AWM (Arctic Warfare Magnum) - This is the most powerful sniper rifle in the game, capable of one-shot kills to the head, but it requires good positioning and patience.
SMG: UMP45 - Great for close to mid-range combat, the UMP45 has a good rate of fire and decent damage, making it effective in urban environments.
Shotgun: S1897 - For close-quarters combat, the S1897 can deal massive damage, especially with a choke attachment.
Takeaway: The best gun often depends on your playstyle and the situation. The M416 is a solid all-rounder for most scenarios, while the AWM is unmatched for long-range engagements. Always adapt your choice based on your loadout and the map you're playing on!
