TL;DR
Popular and Reliable Stores
AmiAmi is frequently mentioned as a top choice for purchasing anime merchandise. It offers a wide range of legitimate products, although it primarily stocks current releases that can sell out quickly if not pre-ordered [1:1],
[3:3]. Mandarake is another popular option known for its vast selection of second-hand items, which often includes rare finds at lower prices
[1:1],
[1:6]. Tokyo Otaku Mode is also recommended for its legitimacy in selling anime merchandise
[3:3].
Stores for Rare and Older Items
For those seeking older or rare items, Plamoya is suggested, though users should be cautious about pricing and verify the legitimacy of products before purchasing [1:1]. Mandarake is again noted for its ability to stock rare items, making it a valuable resource for collectors
[1:1].
Additional Recommendations
CDJapan is praised for its extensive range of hard-to-find merchandise and books, along with a proxy service for ordering items directly from Japan [4:1]. Amazon Japan is another viable option, especially for those able to navigate the language barrier or use a proxy service for currency conversion
[4:3],
[4:9]. BoxLunch and Rightstufanime are additional recommendations for licensed merchandise
[1:5],
[4:4].
Cautions and Red Flags
Users are advised to avoid platforms like Wish and certain Shopify webstores due to the prevalence of bootleg items [3:5],
[3:6]. When using Amazon, it's crucial to ensure that products are officially licensed to avoid counterfeit goods
[3:1].
Regional Options
For those in India, Comicsense and TheHoca.in are recommended for affordable and reliable anime merchandise [5:2],
[5:3]. These sites provide an alternative to international shipping and potential customs issues.
I am looking for a decent website to buy some merch, any suggestion is welcome. In the specific, I am falling in love with Nendoroids, but it is hard to find some of the older releases.
Hey I'm not sure what kind of Nendoroid you're looking for, from which series. But if you're into Boku no Hero Academia, you can check out this link:
https://www.stashally.com/p/zv1fwiOijR/midoriya_and_bakugo_action_figures
If you go to the anime merch site under 'view details', you can see the price of the Nendoroid figurines. There are other nendoroids on that site too, just scroll down!
Different anime websites have different prices and listings and even different anime series merchandise, so I can't give any suggestion in particular. But the link I gave has people posting anime merch from different websites. You can look through and see if there's anything you like!
Thanks, I will take a look.
Thanks, much appreciated.
Additionally, Madman, Hanabe and Rightstufanime
Amiami is probably one of the best period, but they mostly have current stuff and sell out quickly if you don't pre-order.
Plamoya has more rare and older stuff but prices are all over the place, some people think it seems sketchy, but I've had mostly good experiences and never got a fake or anything. Just do your research on price before buying from there.
Mandrake is solid too. They have really rare stuff there but most of their stuff is second hand, it makes their stuff generally cheaper though and like I said they can end up getting some very rare things.
Thank you
Hey guys, I'm looking for a couple anime posters to decorate my room and was wondering if anyone had any good website suggestions :)
Hi imcamwolf, it seems like you might be looking for anime recommendations! I have changed the flair on your post to indicate that, but if I'm wrong, feel free to change it back!
The users of this subreddit came up with an awesome recommendations flowchart. Maybe you can find something there that you'll like ^.^
You might also find our Recommendation Wiki or Weekly Recommendation Thread helpful.

Amazon
AMAZOOOOON
We usually get stuff at cons, but most people we buy from at on Etsy. It’s you want licensed materials, it’s always safe to go through the official stores like Funimation, crunchroll, etc. if there are an anime store near your area they are usually safe to buy from too.
Kinokuniya has stuff, comic stores will usually have something like Newbury Comics have stuff. Oddly enough, target and Walmart have had posters for My Hero Academia and Deathnote, so if they are popular enough they might be there or Barnes and noble.
I wanna buy some merch but I don’t know where to got please comment some of your favorite places to get this type of merch.
I buy some stuff on Rightstuf, usually DVDs/Blurays, but they carry merch too.
Funimation also carries some merch.
AmiAmi, Mandarake, Tokyo Otaku Mode all sell only legitimate stuff.
https://www.redbubble.com/people/Mxnxr404/shop?asc=u
Here's a link for good anime Merch.
Just don't buy on wish that shit looks sketchy as all hell
Wish and Shopify webstores are huge red flags. Basically guaranteed to get bootlegs.
I've had good service from goods republic and it's affiliated stores (listed at the bottom of their site) https://goodsrepublic.com/page/shop_info.html
Got figures from them. Otherwise I bought at convention Otakuton in montreal. Amazon is not bad, but make some research to get officially licensed stuff. Avoid ebay if you can't tell bootleg apart from licensed stuff. While it ain't officialy license stuff I like the otaku box, a monthly subscription bo.
Can someone recommend some legit websites where i can buy a Naruto shirt for my 3 year old?
https://www.anime-hood.store/ they dont have many but they have rly nice designs
^amazon is not legit merch unless it’s Amazon.co.jp !! If you’re looking for legit merch that’s not illegally made, then go to
https://en.animate-onlineshop.jp
https://www.amazon.co.jp/s?k=ナルトシャツ&ref=nb_sb_noss (You’re able to order from Amazon jp by changing the language to English and selecting shipping to America. You’ll need to either use a proxy service to pay in Japanese yen tho idk if they have PayPal, or buy a Japanese Amazon gift card from playasia. I’ve bought 3 Amazon Japan Amazon gift cards from playasia and one Japanese iTunes card and I can guarantee that they’re safe to order from. Shipping is super quick and it arrives within a week most of the time! My family friends always use Amazon jp and we’re always surprised how fast the shipping is)
Edit: I totally forgot Amazon jp has currency conversions so you’re able to use your credit card. I’ve only pre ordered from here so far and pre orders don’t accept this. If it’s not a pre order you can do currency conversions!
https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/ut-graphic-tees
(Uniqlo is a Japanese fashion company and they collaborate with animes pretty often. I have so many of their Pokémon collab shirts and they’re very very good quality and they still look brand new after like 7 years. )
These are the best places to look for new anime T-shirts or merchandise for Naruto. Except for Uniqlo, the rest are a bit pricey because they are official merch made from collaborations with the official studio that made the Naruto anime so they ship from Japan. Uniqlo is cheaper because they have stores in America now. If your son like Demon Slayer as well my advice is to go snag some of the Uniqlo T-shirts right now because they’re doing a final sale which means that it’s currently at the cheapest price and after this sells out they won’t be making it again.
Moving on to legit merchandises that are available in the US, I recommend
https://store.crunchyroll.com/collections/shop?q=naruto+shirts
Crunchy roll is an official company that has permission from Japanese anime studios to post their newest anime episodes on their app. It’s like a Netflix for anime, except you are able to use the app to watch free anime although you’ll have to watch like 3 ads per episode. For episodes without ads, you pay a subscription.
Any shirt or merchandise that is sold in crunchy roll store all has permission from the Japanese animating studios, and they’re legit merch. I’m guessing they’re good quality too. I’ve never ordered from them since I’m Japanese and my grandparents buy me Japanese t shirts of my favorite animes. Crunchy roll has a wide selection of Naruto T-shirts and long sleeved shirts and probably even sweatshirts, since it’s an American company and knows that American people like Naruto (the faze kinda died in Japan sadly although there are a ton of Naruto lovers.) so they have lots of Naruto shirts on the website right now. And I took a look at it and all the designs are amazing!
https://www.hottopic.com/search?q=Naruto
Although the hot topic shirt designs are kind of simple compared to the crunchy roll ones, hot topic also has permission from Japanese studios to sell certain anime merchandise. They’re around the same price as the crunchy roll shirts!
Anyways, the most cheapest and best quality is from Uniqlo but unfortunately Uniqlo doesn’t have any Naruto collabs going on rn and idk when they had one last time. Japan doesn’t have any new recent Naruto shirts so the best to look at right now is crunchy roll store and hot topic! For more expensive options, Amazon jp.
BoxLunch is also good - https://www.boxlunch.com/
Same parent company as HotTopic, but they often have different items.
If you order on Amazon jp and get it shipped to the US do you have to pay for shipping? Like normally Amazon prime is free shipping but is it different if you have a prime account and order of Amazon jp? I know this post is a year old sorry just stumbled on it while looking for best places to get anime merch. Is the quality of like anime figures higher/better from Amazon jp compared go ordering the "same" (the photos look the same but often the figurine you receive doesn't look like the photo advertised) from Amazon USA?
If you want to order figures from Japan I recommend Amiami instead of amazon jp. It’s cheaper and has a much better packaging quality. For amazon jp you basically make a new amazon account and then you can order stuff with whatever your currency is. But you can’t pre-order things with your currency. If you wanna pre order something you’ll have to get an amazon giftcard secondhand from somewhere like playasia (I did this for the genshin concert box because only amazon had free shipping!)
Amiami is better for figures because amazon jp packaging quality literally sucks. I ordered a pokemon plushie for my friend and it came in a cardboard box that looked like it was beaten and kicked around for fun. It was so beaten up that the box was literally open you can stick your hands in the box and steal the plushie. There were cut marks foo. The concert box came in a decent box because its heavy so if they gave me a crappy box it will fall out lol. It was still a crappy box compared to packages I’ve ordered from any other place.
They don’t allow you to review about packaging either. I made a loooong detailed review showing the package pictures of when it just came. They didn’t allow the review because it was “not about the product”
Shipping will be insane if you order from amazon jp. I think figures have like a $100+ shipping just for one figure. If you put your address in and search the figure you want, you’ll see the shipping price as well. Amazon prime in your country and in Japan are different so you won’t get free shipping ever 😭
The only difference with amazon US and amazon Japan is that amazon US has a lot of fake figures while in amazon Japan the legitimate companies for the figures sell on amazon as well.
Do any of the sites you've listed have issues with shipping to Lithuania? (i know this post is old by now..)
Yep, at least crunchyroll, uniqlo and amazonjp do, i don't know about the others. Im also looking to order clothes to Lithuania :D
You can use a non Japanese credit card for amazon.co.jp. The only time I've ever needed a proxy for it is when one of the items can't ship directly to me(so like 2 orders out of many)
Omg wait I totally forgot you can 😭😂 the only thing I’ve ordered from Japanese Amazon so far is a pre-order item which is the genshin concert box and they don’t do currency conversions for pre orders so I completely forgot they do conversions since I read about it. Oops my bad!
Found theses guys on TikTok the shop is Lexxyy I got from them only took 2 weeks good quality and pretty affordable they are underrated for sure
In
I usually go with CDJapan for my stuff. They've been around for quite a bit and have an awesome range of merch and books that are tough to find elsewhere. They also offer this proxy service which is a lifesaver when you want something from Japan that's not listed or already sold out. The only minor hassle is that it takes about a week longer to get your order, but that's about it. Super legit!
I have selected some anime action figures and posters in Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho. But I don't know where to buy from ? Where it will be safe ? And best ? Which is the best according to you ? Flipkart or Amazon or Meesho ?
comicsense is best
baaki aur bhi kuch sites hai jo india meh sell karte online check them out!
But they don't sell the anime figures I want. I know they're good. I've bought a hoodie and jacket from there.
Moderately cheap: thehoca.in
Looks exactly as in pictures.
I haven't purchased from anywhere else because they're overpriced.
I got the anya New York statue from geek monkey and it was pretty good for 500rs
Wow it's nice

If you want original/authentic figures (which should be the norm) there are multiple sites, wizplex, nerdarena, superherotoystore, nerdation, fatcatcollectibles, artbee mini store. Some of these sell Mangas as well and other merch. You can find bootlegs at artbee but I don't recommend that
Does anyone know the best place to buy anime merch? like customized shoes and maybe some shirts and hoodies? i was looking at maybe gearanime.com but i’m not sure if it’s a scam or not. does anyone know? Thanks!
If you’re into Lowkey designs I have a store called anbuapparel.com. Check it out if you’d like :)
From doing some research they are technically "legit" but there's a lot of issues with a lot of the products according to reviews I found. Also it was mentioned that some of the art is stolen from other artists as well(if that matters to you).
Thank you!
Ayo bro I own an anime store if you could check it out it would mean a lot www.Kazuke.store is the name
Generally, websites like that will order in bulk from unlicensed distributors, then increase the price and resell. If you are willing to wait up to 2 months for an item, you can order it off of AliExpress. It is usually the same item as websites like this, in my experience.
I haven't found a good one yet. You could try some Etsy shops. They usually have more reviews and cooler designs.
Newish collector tbh, Mostly have a few Nendoriods here and there but looking to expand into fuller figures, so where do you guys mostly buy them from?
TOM when there's sales, >30% points, or their free shipping saves me money. They're more expensive and had some issue with their warehouse damaging boxes though.
Otherwise amiami for most preorders, Mandarake for used/older things, and now Goodsmile's website when I want preorder bonuses. I've also had good luck buying secondhand on MyFigureCollection
TOM when the math works out in my favor with points/promotions and free shipping. Otherwise Amiami, or Mandarake for pre-owned. I've also had one good experience and no bad experiences buying used figures on MFC.

Amiami and big in japan.
Mainly buy from amiami and mandarake. Ive purchased figures on solarisjapan, hlj, and hobbysearch when they werent available on amiami and mandarake
I've been a fan of anime for years now and I barely own any merchandise. I plan to start collecting anime stuff but I have no idea where to start. Every time I look for collectibles in physical stores, I feel overwhelmed by all the items, so I become indecisive about what to buy. I also intend to focus on purchasing official ones, any tips on where to start?
as someone who is now slowly purging alot of various collectible from various fandoms. My biggest advice is only but what you want and will enjoy. Don’t fall into FOMO or needing to have everything from one series.
Less is more and buy only what brings you joy and thqt you will enjoy having for a good long time
Honestly, I have been sticking to physical media due to not every series having a renewed license/NA distribution from Crunchyroll. I've bought a bunch of my collection secondhand (mostly Funimation stuff) or have been very lucky to wait for online sales.
My advice is to first make a list of the anime series you like the most and do a bunch of window shopping to compare prices. I honestly made a spreadsheet on Excel recently of series that I am currently in the process of collecting, and it has helped me so much to stay organized on my "hunts." 😆 Online reviews of physical media also help narrow down what version you want to buy and save on shelf space (and money).
Find a anime or Manga series you like and collect for that
Watch before you buy something if you can stream it first or borrow from a friend. This community is obsessed with blind buying, and then you see people offloading their impulse purchases when they inevitably run out of space.
If you put that requirement of watching before you buy, you'll naturally prioritize the stuff you actually have an interest in.
My advice? Don't.
In all seriousness, put limits on yourself. As you said, there is an overwhelming amount of merch out there, and if you don't have limits in place, you will end up spending way too much on a ton of stuff.
I advise sticking to just a few anime, your absolute favorites, and buy merch for those. And in addition, only collect certain kinds of merch. Do you like wall scrolls or figures? Blurays or soundtracks? Of course, you may like multiple types of merch, but try to limit yourself to the kind of stuff you really like.
For example, if you don't really care about Tshirts, don't buy one just because it has your favorite anime on it. Likewise, if you love tshirts, and you find one with an anime character you only sorta care about, you should probably skip it.
Of course, you will come across exceptions, where one item on particular is just really really cool. That's fine. Just make sure it doesn't get out of hand.
Looking for websites to buy any merch, collectibles or manga, can’t find any. I’m talking like the Japanese sites where i can order internationally.
Heyyy! I think you check out Rakufun. They operate across different platforms such as Mercari or Rakuten and there are rare finds available at almost all the times! Definitelly worth it!🙂↕️
You can find almost anything on mercari.jp The only downside is that you need a proxy for it. I prefer using ZenMarket cuz they have better service and packaging than buyee tbh. Here, have a look at everything that's available over there link
It'sn to very hard to use a proxy, they're pretty simple and straight forward but here's a guide anyway: https://www.reddit.com/r/zenmarket/comments/191do0r/2024_zenmarket_guide_how_to_use_the_service/ If you were to buy some stuff through them, if you sign up with LANSBOEN as code they'll give you 800¥ for international shipping costs too.
IE merch collector here: mercari is the way to go, and it has a built in proxy service in the form of buyee. if you can, you should check if there's any local proxy service in your country bc they're usually cheaper than any worldwide proxy service, esp if you live outside of US/UK. if not, worldwide proxy services could do just fine, altho a bit Expensive. zenmarket > buyee like one comment says here already, but buyee is kind of more accessible to mercari since it automatically does it for you. buy in bulk, the shipping fee is going to be expensive anyways unless you're using local proxy lol
I've got some inazuma licenses of buyee a few times
amiami, surugaya, and mercari jp via buyee are my go-tos! buyee is a proxy service, so you can even buy from websites that only ship to japan using it. it's been great for my dopamine and horrible for my wallet
