Authorized Dealers (ADs)
Authorized dealers are a popular choice for purchasing luxury watches. They offer the benefit of official manufacturer warranties and sometimes additional perks such as exclusive previews, invitations, and first refusal on certain pieces [1:1]. In Greensboro, NC, Windsor Jewelers is recommended as a reliable AD for Tudor watches
[4:1]. For those in Bhubaneswar, it is suggested to travel to Kolkata where official stores for Rolex and Omega can be found in Quest Mall
[5:2].
Online Platforms
Several online platforms are frequently mentioned for buying pre-owned luxury watches. Chrono24 is a widely used platform, although buyers are advised to exercise caution [2:1]
[3:3]. Other reputable sites include Watchbox, Crown and Caliber, Watchfinder, and Luxury Bazaar
[2:1]. http://Watchrecon.com aggregates data from various forums and can be useful for finding deals
[4:3].
Forums and Exchanges
For those looking to buy pre-owned watches at potentially lower prices, forums like r/Watchexchange and Watchuseek are recommended [1:3]
[2:5]
[4:4]. These platforms allow private sales, which can be cheaper than retail stores due to lower markups
[2:2].
Local Stores and Auction Houses
In Los Angeles, Feldmar and Bloomingdales in Century City mall are noted for their selection of used luxury watches [3:1]
[3:2]. Additionally, auction houses like Bonhams and Heritage may offer reasonable deals on luxury watches
[3:2]. In Bhubaneswar, Kamal Watch Co near Sandy Tower and Ethos or Helios are suggested options
[5:4]
[5:5].
Recommendations Beyond Discussions
When purchasing luxury watches, it's important to verify the authenticity and condition of the watch, especially when buying pre-owned. Consider requesting detailed photos, documentation, and possibly arranging video calls with sellers to ensure transparency. If possible, try the watch on in person to ensure comfort and fit.
No definitely not hahaha. All of my luxury watches were bought pre owned
Good to know. I’ve been seeing a lot of unique pieces and I just don’t see them at typical retail stores.
My Speedmaster was bought through Chrono24.
My Black Bay 41 Heritage was bought on /r/Watchexchange. I traded that and added cash for a 75090 Submariner I found on the same subreddit. I sold the Sub on /r/Watchexchange and bought my 16570 Explorer II on /r/Watchexchange.
I don't believe in jerking off the AD to buy a mass produced Rolex.
Usually through autorized resellers via Chrono24. They're less than retail yet have official manufacturer warranty.
r/watchexchange
Depending on the watch, I usually get mine at an AD. I usually pay retail or clear enough of a discount to offset sales tax. But I also get straps, buckles, swag, and invitations to previews, right-of-first-refusal on some pieces, etc.
I was wondering what the cheapest way to buy a pre owned luxury watch would be. Just looking for a website or store.
Something like crown and caliber if you are looking for a store. But really, all stores markup quite a bit because they need margin and to pay for authenticity checks. Private sale over forum is much cheaper.
https://www.chrono24.com/ or r/WatchExchange
Checkout watchuseek a forum just like that where they sell preowned amazing watches. Here an article on just what you asked.. https://medium.com/@FitnessFinancer/10-low-end-luxury-watches-all-rising-entrepreneurs-must-wear-63e8207087a1

No such thing as cheapest honestly, but a couple of places you can compare prices. All legit.

Before Covid I used to go down to Tourneau at the south coast plaza, but now there were a bunch of AP’s and other super expensive stuff.
I’m talking about watches in the $3k~$9k range (used Rolexes, Tudor, Oris, etc).
I’m willing to go down to OC but would rather stay in LA — where’s the best place to look at watches these days?
Feldmar? Not sure how extensive their pre-owned offering is, though.
I'm also interested in an answer to this question.
(Also: What used Rolexes are in the $3k to $9k range?)
Definitely Feldmar, and sometimes the auction houses -Bonhams or Heritage- will have reasonable deals. Also that big pawn shop on 8th and Vermont south of Wilshire - they’ve been around for decades and specialize in jewelry and watches.
Well that price range was for any watch. But last time I was at tourneau they had some Explorer I for $5k6k, Explorer II black dial for $8k$9k. These aren’t current versions, I’m talking about models that are at least 10yrs old.
Honestly I’d just start combing r/watchexchange. Find a seller that has a decent amount of transaction history. Ask if you can do FaceTime/video call if you want additional verification. I’ve bought and sold the majority of my watches there
Yeah. I’ve bought and sold a ton on there, but I have a friend that’s getting into watches and wants to be able to try them on and get a sense of what he likes
I’d probably just go to Feldmar or Bhindis, try some on, and then look via WatchRecon to see what’s out there used

I think Bloomingdales in the Century City mall has used luxury watches.
So I’m looking at buying an omega Speedmaster 311.30.42.30.01.006 or a Tudor black bay gmt. And would like to get it pre owned to save some money. I’ve been looking online at options and been struggling to find any. What websites do you guys use to get used watches? I’ve found essential watches and Jomashop. Any recommendations as to where to look for places or websites of this kind? Thanks I live in Greensboro, NC in case anyone knows of a good AD, been looking around my area and cannot find anything :(
Watchfinder usually. High prices, but genuine company with in house repairs (many AD certified).
https://www.crownandcaliber.com/
https://www.watchrecon.com/ appears to hook into a bunch of APIs and aggregates the data, could prove useful.
There are various Facebook groups with ADs and wholesalers who swap watches frequently for small margins.
Is it a huge price difference? I own a Hamilton and am starting to look at Tudors or Omegas, but can bring myself to spend that money now.
I’m also near Greensboro.
If you decide to go to an AD for Tudor, Windsor Jewelers in Winston Salem is your best option.
They got me my Black Bay 58 quickly and are super nice to work with.
If you want to look used, Watchrecon.com is a good website to scour the forums.
Hi! I am looking to buy a luxury watch in bhubaneswar like Omega, Tag Heuer, Rolex, and so on. Can also be vintage watches! Does anybody have a recommendation?
Bro stop looking at these types of high end watches in bbsr !!! If you're really looking for rolex and Omega , book a flight to Kolkata. Rolex has an official store there ( I guess in the quest mall ) also for omega it's available in the quest mall . I saw the official stores , just 2 to 3 months ago. If you're gonna purchase this through 3rd party handlers, this gonna hit your more .
Market Building. Everything available that too handmade genuine products ..
Adibas Upma Reedock Vani Hussain Lokesh Vuitton Channel Rando Naik Evils Strauss
Best place to get ultra luxury watches. I approve 🫡
Thank You Monsieur. Just got an update. Patel Phillips LED watches are now available in the sleek showrooms of Market Building!!
Kamal Watch Co near sandy tower.
Ethos, Helios ?
Also better ask in r/watchesindia
My budget for right now is up to $300 so nothing major. I’ve usually gotten watches off of Amazon but I feel like I’ve looked through everything they have. Do most of you buy your watches online or in store? Any websites you’d recommend?
TIA
https://longislandwatch.com/ Reliable. great selection. Free shipping in the US and cheap international shipping.
local jewelry and even online ones often mark it up. I bought mine Here
I’ve heard the shade but I like jomashop.com
At that price point JS is painless. Mid-level luxury purchases have been a hassle for me. HMU if you have any questions.
Literally three of my four Jomashop purchases went without a hitch. The fourth, which was the watch I wanted most, of course, never shipped. I waited weeks and weeks and got BS non-responses from ‘Customer Service’/bot. I finally canceled the order and waiting for my refund.
Repbagz.com is pretty awesome for reps. Swiss time parts. No complaints.
r/watchexchange
I've done most of my deals with Tourneau and Exquisite Timepieces when buying online. ETP, in particular, has been very reliable and has the most impressive salespeople I've dealt with. Highly recommend them.
I’m especially looking for watches around $500-$700 as I’ve seen vintage omegas and jlcs for that much. I was referred to kabaclyde but I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions for these types of automatic/ mechanical watches. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Coolvintagewatches.com is great.
I use Chrono 24.
Okay are they legit. I’ve heard mixed things about them
I guess I have been lucky so far. Mind you, I do tend to use Chrono to research the watches and then scour eBay to buy them. I do feel that bir more protected as a buyer on eBay.
Well chrono24 is a platform like ebay. So depending on the seller you choose you'll make different experience. If you buy through their platform you pay a premium (the seller has to pay between 6.5 and 9.5% commission but you'll get reimbursed if the watch you receive is not as described or you don't receive it as the funds are locked in an escrow.
In that price range, eBay is the best venue for vintage watches. However, “luxury” will cost you more.
You’ll also need to really be very researched on vintage models and their movements, as you are targeting a very slim price range and the competition to get those bargain classics will be big.
I’d recommend doing your research and then target specific make/model/movements that fit your tastes and price range —- and stick with this strategy while you get better at the game.
Thanks for the advice! Very new to watches so I very much appreciate it:)
A vintage jlc for that price?!?!?!? Yes please!
Would be a JLC club using an out of house movement most likely
I don't see people talking about watches in here, except for a few Amazon and Hudson's bay links here and there. Let's face it, watches are an integral part of men's fashion, and there should be a dedicated place where we should be able to discuss men's watches and where to get them, just for the Canadians.
I came across two seemingly trustable websites : Halifax watch and lugaro. They both have very limited collections, and sometimes offer some nominal discounts.
Amazon seems to be the best bet, but chances of getting a fake is also considerably high. The bay has a decent collection, but I'm wondering if there are more options out there. What are your go to places to get a watch? Any website or retailer that carries a wider range of collection, preferably Seiko, Hamilton and Tissot?
Jomashop is a great place to buy high end grey market watches. I got my Oris from there.
I purchased almost all my watches used on ebay/reddit, so I'm not much help, but you might want to ask your question/browse around for similar threads on the canwatchco forums. You'll need to register to view the posts there.
Do you have any experience buying on r/watchexchange with international sellers?
No, sorry. I bought a watch off of watchexchangecanada locally. I've gotten a couple internationally on ebay.
You can also buy from /r/watchexchange.
Bought all my watches thru there. Good deals and great community, though sometimes there isn't a lot of diversity in watches.
Echoing the other guy's question. Have you ever been hit by duties and tax for the watches you've bought from outside Canada?
And r/watchexchangecanada
Depending where the watch was made. I got charged tax but no duty on my Junghans.
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned it, but for Seiko, Citizen, Orient, and Suunto watches, the best place to get them from is DutyFreeIslandShop.com.
The owner is amazing. He's very communicative about the purchases and what stage it is at.
I've bought a Citizen Stilleto for 230 that retails here on sale for 500. Easy choices.
I've bought watches only from him now. Of course if you want other brands, look elsewhere, but I love my made in Japan piece.
One thing to watch for is made in Japan versus Japan movement. The ones made at the main Citizen facility have much nicer finishings
Long Island Watch. The owner of the site, Mark also has youtube videos that are really indepth. Bought a Seiko and Orient on the site and customer service is amazing. When there was an Orient Bambino sale, I wanted a certain model and emailed Mark to see if there was any more in stock. They were sold out but he threw in a free strap and watch tool with my order just cause. Didn't need to, but he did. When I bought my Seiko I asked about strap sizes and Mark's response was timely
hey there! i've been wanting to buy a seiko mini turtle from there for some time now! Do you know if there's a large import tax / customs fee involved in the shipping?
There are a few watch stores that sell high-end luxury watches in Boston, but none for mid-range or low like swatch or timex? I only see them at Macy's but I recently visited Macy's in downtown and it did had bulova, fossil, Tissot and a few other brands but no timex or swatch. I like trying on watches before I buy them to see if they fit my wrist and if I like the daily color.
Update: I took your advice and went with orient bambino and ordered it on amazon. Will wait for it to arrive, try it and if I don't like it then we move to another one. Thank you to everyone who commented!
The internet, most places have good return policies. The first thing I ever bought online like in 96 was a timex.
I have seen some good watches on Macys website and will take a chance on them this time.
That Timex I got back then still works, I'm just too lazy to replace the battery.
Swiss Watchmaker on Church Street in Harvard Square is a repair shop that also sells a variety of watches, including midrange. Otherwise try TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Target. Looks like there are no Swatch stores in Boston anymore -- nearest appears to be NYC.
It is sad that there are no swatch stores anymore because it is an affordable brand and with the new release of a collaboration between swatch and omega - moonwatch I really wanted to get one.
The moon swatch was just at a few swatch retailers and Boston wasn’t one of them. Omega hasn’t released it online yet. It sold out pretty quickly, so your best bet is watch for when they decide to release online and buy it as soon as it does . Sure, you can’t try it on, but it’s pretty likely to go quickly and could easily be resold for what you paid
A visit to the Swatch store could be a reason to do a day trip to NYC now that it's Spring!
Elliot Davis is my watch guy.
I just googled who this is after your comment, fortunately, I live in Cambridge so never seen this guy.
