Eh they pull out of corners harder than a ep3 type R at slow speed, these diesels dont have the top end but they perform really well in the twisty corners and dont have to change gear constantly. You can just leave it in 3rd and it will pull from 2000 to 4500rpm. (I had an ep3 type R and a skoda fabia 1.9 tdi)
That's also the same for a e46 320d, I just stay in 3 gear and go, for me at least in portugal its perfect, petrol engines are good in a straight, diesel its good for the exit of curve because of the instant binary, I can maintain my car close to a golf r (300hp) but then in the straight of course i lose the guy 😅

The best thing you can do is to play the game in a methodical way from the beginning. My early mistake was playing only a little bit of too many different series at once. I spent a lot of money (even real money) and rarely came close to earning any cars free.
Now I farm daily on one R$ series and one M$ series. I still suck at it; 55 miles is my max so far. I usually skip the main page series unless the car is easy to win or has a good payout. I FUed the F1 Exhibition, 2019 RB, 2024 Merc, and I'm now working on the Valente.
Check in EVERY day. Watch the ads, Work on a series, two at most. You earn GC every time you advance one 25% completion. You're gonna want the Audi R8 LMS Ultra for R$, and the McLaren 720S GT3. I enjoy the GT3 cars and most anything BMW. Sticky cars that make up for my terrible racing lines.
The 2019 F1 events in Motorsports hub only use Ms, but you will need about 2.2 million Ms saved up before starting one of them. Otherwise in the current round you can do the Jesko Absolut event for all 1s or no upgrades at all.
Motorsport exhibitions series can be completed upgradeless, and i do think some of the early road collection series might give net positive gold, just because of how cheap upgrades are and one car being used in up to 2-3 series

I donated a car a few years ago using this service and it was all very easy. I know people at the nonprofit that benefitted and they confirmed that a high percentage (80%?) makes it to the nonprofit. I set an appointment, the pickup driver came to me, loaded the vehicle on, gave me a receipt to show it was picked up. Later, when my car did get more than $500 at auction, I was sent a receipt for tax purposes showing the actual amount. (If it's less than $500 you can just deduct $500 with no receipt).
Also, avoid Kars for Kids. Gets very low ratings for the amount that actually gets to the charity.

Better off selling for cheap on Facebook or offer up. Sell it cheap and it will be gone quick. Donate the money or portion if you want. Tax write off isn't what a lot of people think. Plus the charities also get pennies on the dollar unless they process and sell the cars which almost none do.
I live just outside of Charlottesville and donated my car to the Purple Heart Foundation a few years ago. It was no longer running and they towed it out of our barn. I recommend the careasy.org the other commenter mentioned. It was really easy to arrange!

If a glove box latch crusts out due to old age I can just buy a brand new one. With enough funds and love these cars can essentially stay in brand new state forever.

The words “Vintage Porsche” scared me financially so was originally was looking at 300zx’s when I found out Porsche parts were way more available and cheaper. Wife has a newer Macan GTS we’ve been super happy with. So not my first Porsche but my first Porsche. 🫠
As you can see it’s all analogue and the engine is pretty accessible. No covers. If you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and have a little YouTube they’re pretty wallet friendly! If you need to pay a mechanic do every single thing the car needs it would be pretty expensive to maintain.
This particular model (Turbo S) is an analogue modern sports car. Modern adjustable coil-over suspension, ridiculous 4 piston factory brembos all the way around, ABS, LSD. Power windows/locks/seats/mirrors.
They just need constant love. The parts support for it has been incredible though.

Agreed. Before my 981 I only owned Japanese cars. They are reliable on a different level. Nothing broke in my 5 years of ownership of these cars(Mirage > 350Z > 370Z.) My Boxster has had door panels, soft top, & sensors replaced all covered under warranty which was fantastic. My local dealer took care of me no questions asked. Having said that, I still would say it’s very reliable, perhaps mechanically speaking.

I owned a '74 ( possibly the worst year ever- mine had rust and a bad electrical system) in college. It frequently had to be push-started, but it was a blast and could do trailing throttle oversteer at reasonable speeds thanks to its skinny tires. I regret recently trading in a 911.1 at probably the lowest price they will ever be. I miss them and can't wait to get another.

I’ve got 47769 miles on my 2023 Carrera T. Had it since new so one owner car. Drove 7k miles in a less then half a year of 2023 got it end of July. I drove 30,269 miles or so in 2024 10,500 miles or so in 2025 so far Loving it and I hope to have tons of miles on it in 50 years

Mercedes used to be quality IMO. My grandfather put 750k miles on a 1982 300D. My first car was a '85 300TD - total tank.
I had a GLK 350 that was a total piece of shit money pit I was happy to sell. It needed multiple 4 figure repairs before the 70k mile mark. Modern Benz is trash I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
Don't get me wrong, I love German cars. I've owned a 928, 986, 968, and a 951. All amazing (the 928 was pretty greedy with repairs but that was a halo car for it's time).
I've had a few Audis as well, but nothing takes the cake for total shitbox like that GLK 350. That soured me on Benz forever. Cheap seats that crack within a few years, plastic interior parts, sourcing a GM intake flap they knew was faulty, balance shaft engineering nightmares, an AC unit that never wanted to stay fixed, brake master cylinder failure. You name it - it broke on that GLK.
After clocking 14k miles on 4rs, I can honestly say that (for me) the 981 GTS is the best Porsche and best sports car. I think it is hilarious how underrated this car is, mostly because social media, people chasing horsepower and social approval. Yes the gt4rs takes the cake BUT over all taking everything in account GTS manual with PSE is the way. Cayman is the old 911 and the new 911 is Audi RS5 on steroids. Awesome but dull… (still have to drive mclaren and Lotus)
I just drove my 981 GTS yesterday the first time in 2 months (not much time recently) and damn i forgot HOW MUCH i loved it.
I’ve got a 981 S that has PSE, PTV, PASM, SC, and a manual. A previous owner installed a GTS front and rear bumper, including the middle radiator for the front. It’s got memory seats and the base interior.
So aside from the small power boost and Alcantara and nice interior, it’s pretty much a GTS. So I can agree - GTS is excellent. This GTS-lite is excellent. I occasionally think of what would be nice after it, but generally reach the conclusion “yeah, it’s too good for what it is and wouldn’t want to sell it.”
