TL;DR Void Titan builds with offensive bulwark and bastion are popular for their strong defensive capabilities and high KD potential. Stasis and Prismatic builds also offer unique advantages, depending on playstyle preferences.
Titan PvP Builds
Void Titan builds are highly recommended for PvP, particularly using offensive bulwark and bastion. These setups provide excellent survivability and crowd control, making them ideal for trials and competitive modes [4:1]
[4:4]. Players have reported significant improvements in their kill/death ratios with these builds, emphasizing the effectiveness of weakening grenades and scatter grenades
[4:4].
Stasis and Prismatic Options
Stasis builds, incorporating aspects like diamond lance and cryoclasm, have been noted for their fun and strategic gameplay. While some players use dunemarchers for mobility, others are exploring alternatives to enhance their build [4:5]. Prismatic Titans are also gaining traction for their versatility, though opinions vary on their effectiveness compared to void builds
[4:1].
Melee-Focused Builds
While pure melee builds are challenging in group PvP settings, integrating melee elements into broader strategies can be effective. Skills like suspensor blast and attractor field can complement ranged allies by improving accuracy and pressure [5:1]. Melee-focused players often incorporate shotguns and disruptors for counterplay, balancing aggression with tactical awareness
[5:5]
[5:7].
General Advice for PvP Builds
It's crucial to tailor your build to your playstyle and the specific PvP environment. Experimenting with different armor, weapons, and abilities can help you find a setup that feels comfortable and effective [5:6]. Additionally, staying adaptable and learning counterplay against common threats can significantly enhance your performance in matches

Hello Everyone,
Gonna be getting back into the game here soon, especially for the new DLC. What is currently the best PvE build, and PvP build? Would like to have 1 of each created. Thanks for any help!
All red striker with ceska chest with obliterate and coyotes mask for pve.
All red umbra with coyotes and fenris backpack with vigilance and use capacitor for conflict.
Headshot regen with big horn for DZ.
Striker for PvE.

Been out of the game since ShadowKeep... (I know I know) ANYWAYS...
What is the best VOID PvE Hunter build? (exotics and such)
What is the best SOLAR PvE TITAN build? (more exotics and such)
What is the best ARC PvE Warlock build? (you get it by now)
THANKS!
All based on my opinion:
Void PVE Hunter is either Gyrfalcons or Orpheus Rig depending on the density of enemies. Both work well with prismatic.
Solar PVE Titan is Lorely Splendor or Precious Scars since restoration duration has been severely nerfed, both are a lifesavers. Both work with Prismatic but Lorely only works if you have a solar super.
Arc PVE Warlock has been completely overshadowed by Prismatic which is completely broken with Getaway Artists. Simply consume your arc grenade and you can produce an arc soul AND a bleak watcher turret; this also amplifies you which gives you galvanic armor via the artifact. Also, all ability kills give you devour. Two champ stuns are covered simply by the bleak watcher, and prismatic has nearly 100% uptime on radiant so barrier is covered as well.
As a void hunter main, Gyrfalcons plus the aspect that triggers devour when you pick up a void rift did serious work during the legendary campaign. Plus there is a seasonal perk that gives you a void rift on kinetic kills. I barely used prismatic because dodge invis and devour are so good for survivability.
How would I get Gyrfalcons if I didn't play Witch Queen? Just wait for Xur? I have Orpheus Rigs on already tho.
How would I get Gyrfalcons if I didn't play Witch Queen? Just wait for Xur?
Take Exotic engrams to master Rahool and focus on chest pieces
Pyrogale Titan would like a word......
I don’t like it now that restoration is so difficult keep active, and it’s not good with prismatic as it only helps the concentration and not the super.
Ok so I went on there... are those updated? Because it shows exotics from Witch Queen...
Some great builds use Y1 exotics like heart of inmost light or synthoceps. The latest isn't always the greatest.
Consecration for Titan is my go to rn. It's so much fun.
Teach me your ways!
As the title says: what is the best heavy legendary for DPS?
Now I use MG for add clear but I want DPS.
It is heavily dependant on what boss you are fighting and what activity.
Many activities within end game have varying modifiers that will boost certain options. Having something to match various surges or overcharged weapons can be the most important thing.
Many bosses you are best off using precision weapons, others prefer explosive weapons, some swords.
For precision, linears are probably top for legendary options mostly. Scintillation would be one of the top picks there.
For explosive, GLs top pick would probably be VS Chill Inhibitor from Vesper’s Host and top rocket would be Hezen’s Vengeance from Vault of Glass.
Swords are a little more open. There are a couple with double damage perks but can’t really go wrong with a good Fallen Guillotine or Slammer. There is a bit less of a gap in swords so you can do fine with a lot of them.
All that being said, you should have some loadouts for legendary primary and special weapons to enable exotic DPS options when suited. There are a lot of times where one or two exotics really stand above and beyond all other options.
Hezen vengeance, but I think the banshee GL from vespers is still really good. Also scintillation this season is very underrated, almost a legendary queen breaker
Is scintillation doing well? I've been meaning to pull it, but what makes that better than any other legendary linear?
It's okay, linears are really just not very good other than Queenbreaker. It's pretty good for GMs this season if you have an Envious + Reservoir Burst roll but I've basically never used the Rewind + BnS DPS roll even with a linear damage boost on the artifact.
Not nearly as good as bait and switch but firing line gives free automatic 20% bonus damage within 15 meters of 2 allies. U don’t have to worry about missing and losing the buff like precision instrument, which takes 5 stacks to get the same 20%.
Perks and its 3 round burst i dont think theres another legendary linear with bait and switch envious and 3 round burst frame
The easiest ways to get a decent sword are:
The Other Half/Half Truths: both of these swords can drop randomly from Dares of Eternity. Both are craftable if you can get the red borders for them.
Falling Guillotine: this sword is one of the drops from the OG Onslaught playlist. You can attune to it at Zavala in the tower and that will increase the frequency in which it drops
hezen vengeance with envious arsenal and either bait and switch or elemental honing
This is the correct answer and I’d just like to add that Hezen currently blows everything out of the water because of the origin trait.
Even the bosses other people in the comments are saying “it depends on the boss”. Bro even bosses you typically use precision damage on, or swords… Hezens out DPS’s them.
Unless the boss moves too much and you can’t hit them, or they are too close and you might blow yourself up… you can destroy pretty much everything with hezens vengeance.
————
Easy setup that works on pretty much everything:
a well
a debuff (weaken nade, tether, etc.)
a storms keep barricade
a gjally
everyone else on hezens and damage supers.
Super the boss, fire rockets and rotate weapons to reload. You’ll 1 phase everything in the game on normal difficulty and can 1 phase almost everything on harder difficulties. It’s crazy DPS.
Obvs everyone mentions the perks, but what about the barrel/mag perks? and the masterwork stat? Really want to craft mine now that I got one, but everywhere just mentions the envious/bns perks.
It’s just another heavy weapon. Lots of different sources for them including world drops.
Fallen Guillotine that I mentioned before can be obtained from Onslaught launched from the Vanguard tab in the director. You can visit Zavala in the tower and focus it to make it more likely to drop from there as there are a lot of weapons in that loot pool (many of which are very good).
adepts are better lol
Looking for some good titan PvP builds post final shape, I'm not sure how prismatic is looking or if void just got buffs with unbreakable and axe super, looking for some DIM links to some loadouts y'all are having success with.
3s freeze build Twilight Arsenal Rally barricade Strafe lift Shiver strike Pulse/suppressor nade Knockout Diamond lance Dominance Justice Command Dawn Ruin
With spirit of ophidian and spirit of alpha lupi
My go to build:
Void titan with offensive bulwark and bastion. Bubble for trials and twilight garrison for quickplay/comp. Fragments for weakening grenades with scatter grenades, specced into 6 discipline.
Has been insane. Raised titan KD from 2.05 to 2.23 with this build.
So are you 100 resil 60 disciple, what’s your recovery at? I’ll give this a try.
I am absolutely in love with this titan build. I was a hardcore hunter main but have spent a ton of time on titan instead because it is so strong and fun. My bungie is is Isaac#1014 if you’d want to play sometime
100 resil 100 recovery 6 discipline
Twilight garrison had me tweaking for a second
I’m a bit late on this build but I started using behemoth cryosthesia and the prophecy shotgun, although a sniper might help the range issue.
Stasis aspects are diamond lance and cryoclasm. My exotic is dunemarchers but I’m actively looking for a replacement. Tried using the reflect legs but I couldn’t quite get down how to use em.
If I wasn’t using this, I think I’d use grapple strand with lash. Other aspect doesn’t really matter imo, but flechette blade might slap if you use the new strand exotic. Abeyant or khepris work pretty well with lash still.
For solar, Ashen wake + a wave frame is a famously stupid combo.
I myself can’t really make void work, the overshield feels like it does nothing.
I still run void titan+ dunemarchers but instead of bubble twilight arsenal and bubble if I'm really sweating.
What’s your stat split and did you find a place for unbreakable?
Unbreakable is trash imo.
Your dedicating an entire aspect for the ability to consume your grenade for a mediocre shield when you could just be using your grenade normally and getting the benefits of a far more powerful aspect.
I've been bouncing between void and prismatic titan for pvp, both in control and in comp. Prismatic is a lot of fun, with some insane potential, but I think for trials/comp I'm gonna stick to void titan.
Stacking unbreakable with offensive bulwark and echo of vigilance means I can use unbreakable even more often. I just wish my void subclass wasn't bugged, as I can't equip Twilight Arsenal on void, even though I can on prismatic.
As for stat distro, with the super gen changes, I've done my best to swap my 100 int for more disc on my builds. So instead of triple 100s with resil, recov, and int, I now have double 100s with resil/recov, 90/80 disc, and 70/50 int depending on whether its void or prismatic (I get more stats outta void due to the fragments). Once I get some more disc-focused armor, I'm gonna shoot for triple 100s with disc as the third.
Run the story mission that gives the super again & it'll unlock for void
Is there a melee PvP build viable for group PvP? Maybe a frontline bruiser type in heavy? Or a backline disruptor in light? I just can’t find a build I’m comfortable with. Currently running ranged with a heavy/light mix like a lot of people are
Which skills / perks etc?
Thanks for sharing!
This prob this isn't helpful or correct, but I would say there's no such thing as a pure melee build for group PvP. It's too situational, and a lot of those situations require gunfights.
I spent a few hours at a player-built PvP arena this week as a melee-only build and I'd say that's correct, all the best players are using various guns and ordnance at least some of the time, especially that regis tripleshot.
It's possible to win using only melee, I got a few downs, but you have to play very aggressive to stay on them; distance becomes a huge risk, and if you mess up a combo or mistime an attack then they typically have a lot of options to get away.
Pressuring with melee is great way to force the issue but tunneling is death. Crippling strike is quite strong but if you aren’t paying attention you get hit with disruptors, gravity mines, suspensor blast, attractor fields, drill shots, and so on. Melee can be the specialty but you need to learn the counterplay.
All of the below is entirely my perception and experiences. Grain of salt.
Skill choices depend so much on who you're with, who you fight, where you fight... So I guess figure out your averages / typical / preferred fight situation and build for that? That said, every build should have Shiga or Knee for movement.
If you're often with ranged allies, you might opt for Suspensor Blast and Attractor Field to peel and improve their accuracy/pressure. If you are really mobile you might try Gravity Grenade to help peel and bring down shields.
If you're often against other melee or midrange (or folks that don't keep distance well), Crippling Strike is killer. Gravity Mine can guarantee your team breaks shields. Suspensor Blast can counter (a bit) the other player's Crippling Strike since it's free.
It really depends on the situation, honestly. On my server, there's a LOT of melee-centric pvpers so if you arent somewhat built to defend yourself in close combat (not just get away), you're unlikely to survive long enough to counter. So if they get close at all, you're stuck backpedaling (not getting away) or floating to shoot at close/mid range. My build prioritizes melee but doesn't skimp on shotgun and pistol/smg (depending on if you have Regis Disruptor Pistol or Dart for Every Man).
For skills, I use Suspensor Blast and, believe it or not, Retaliate. I use Cauterizer (burn), Dunewatcher (poison), and Perforator (bleed). Riposte gets me some melee defense (if it connects) while applying bleed as well, so in a pure melee fight, I don't solely rely on slow blades.
(Edit: Corrected name if parry-bleed skill.)
Thanks for the in depth reply. I am much more comfortable in melee and using those skills. But I also, like you, run the shotgun and Regis disruptor. I’d like to see your build if you’re willing
This is about what I use (hopefully the link works as expected):
https://dune.gaming.tools/skill-builder/AwkRg0wZlL0vK1YlosdkQEwU9ATDsLCocDKilnDJaKg8DngJxg4Ac0XALGwDs0AKxA
I haven't quite decided if I like Battle Hardened for the Suspensor Blast cooldown, Thrive in Danger for the "oh shit" survival, or Disciplined Breathing for the recovery. So I have both Thrive and Disciplined pointed up.
If you use Shiga instead of Knee for movement, definitely go Battle Hardened since it applies to both skills - Shiga and SusBlast.
I think most people would say Suspensor Blast, Crippling Strike, Shiga with Battle Hardened, Center Mass, and Thrive in Danger. I just like layering up the DOT damage. In 1v1s it's probably not as strong as just crushing someone's stamina and slow blading them, but in groups, slow blades can be a lot more likely to be interrupted.
If you wanna PM me your discord I can send you screenshots of my build. It's not pure melee but it's heavily focused on it with a few guns for counterplay/dealing with certain builds
Thanks!
Always use light armor unless you are fully ranged. Rapier with poison. All perks that help stamina. Blade dmg. Crippling strike. Suspensor blast.
It is me again, your friendly neighborhood Prismatic Build planner. I started to actually think of what I needed for The Final Shape (TFS) launch and a big thing is finding loadouts that work for the starting slate of abilities we get for Prismatic from the Prismatic Deep Dive. So here I want to list out some builds that I think will be useful.
Tl;dr: If you just want quick shots of builds check this album: https://imgur.com/a/9VINdU7
Here are the categories of Prismatic Builds:
All Starter Builds use the same starting Fragments: Facets of Dawn, Hope, Protection, Purpose, Ruin. You may not be able to slot all 5 depending on fragment slots. Drop Dawn if the build isn't weapon focused. Drop Hope if you don't need class ability. Drop Ruin if you don't have Ignitions or Shatters.
I have a few resources here:
Hopefully this helps people out. Let me know if you have questions or comments.
i was waiting for someone to post something like this in r/destiny2builds
thanks
Oh I always forget about that subreddit. Will post there too.
Good Job! I think one of the things I'm going to try is pulling off a good Stasis titan as we can get rid of that god-awful melee and replace it with a better melee.
Also wouldn't insurmountable Skullfort work with your Thunder Fist Lancer?
It would but Point Contact Cannon Brace returns a lot of energy on kills and adds more damage and Jolts.
Insurmountable just returns the charge.
it also heals you, or starts to, anyway.
This might not be the post for it, but as a fellow TFS theorycrafter do you know if anyone’s said something about Spirit of Necrotic working with Weapons of Sorrow like Necrotic Grip does?
Been working on what could be an outrageously high uptime Trans build (Sacrifice and Bravery with Devour and Bleak Watcher/Arcane Needle, Generosity with Thorn/Necrochasm and Spirit of Necrotics) but I’m not sure if it works like I’m hoping it will.
I haven't heard but the perk description says poison spreads so it should.
Missing the Prismatic Build Image for the Starting Prismatic Gyrfalcon, just fyi :)
Got it in there now. Thanks for catching!
Awesome! Thanks for this
Looking to see what people's opinions are on what the best builds are since the Reckoning update.
Pve - 2h axe. Cleave with lifesteal
Pvp - 1h axe, polesword, dagger, anything with a single press triple swing attack. They have huge dps and usually armor penetration
New exotics mean new builds! I know not everyone is psyched but I think there's some neat stuff here. A lot of this information was determined from FalloutPlay's exotic video which I highly recommend. It's hard to say how strong these are till we play with them but I thought I'd make the effort to help people try them out.
Warlock
For more in progress descriptions of what these exotics do check out the Destiny Data Compendium which is always being updated with specific descriptions and numbers.
That's all I got for today. Is it the last build guide? Who knows!?
I can read and play. I love how you turn condescending as if I’m incompetent to understand build crafting.
I’m an exit the chat. I see you’re only interested in confirming your opinion and not being objective to see others.
So cringe a la cringe.
Maybe read the skill discripion for Inmost Light, actually use that perk. Then see how much better constant regen is over a spurt every now and again.
Muted btw.
Edit: you dont even have inmost light tested AT ALL. So no, I will continue using and weaving my 3 abilities to keep Energy regen up. I’m going to laugh now, because you clearly haven’t used that skill at all. You tested what you thought was good and left it at that. Have a great day.
Shift + Enter
20 second constant grenade regen seems like the smartest choice.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/s/DUBIjkxNgK
Literally just got an Inmost - Star-eater Solipsism, so I’ve been experimenting a little bit. Little on the late side, but just in case.
The parameters were as follows for the tests. No Devour, no killing, stacks of light, no orbs. At 100% discipline, 30 strength, and 40 restoration. Done inside the Conflux Lost Sector. Using Phoenix Dive, Arcane Needle and Needlestorm. Facets beings Blessing, Protection, Dawn, Hope and Purpose. None of these things changed throughout any of the tests.
The rotation of abilities, if available, is to throw my nade, toss 3 needles, dive, super. The abilities were spread out by 4 seconds.
From another post regarding Inmost Light being actually tested
• First test, holding no mods or exotics, I got my grenade back in the listed 1:16 as is promised by the 100% discipline. • Second test, holding no mods with just the Solipsism exotic, I got my grenade back in 0:58. • Third test, holding 2 impact deduction, 1 bolstering detonation and 3 bomber mods, without exotics, got me my grenade in 1 minute. The melee’s hit the Lost Sector boss, but didn’t kill. The super was tossed to the other side of the room to not hit anything and the grenade was thrown in front of me as to not hit the boss. • Fourth test, holding 2 impact deduction, 1 bolstering detonation and 3 bomber mods, with the Slipsism exotic, got me my grenade in 20 seconds. The melee’s hit the Lost Sector boss, but didn’t kill. The super was tossed to the other side of the room to not hit anything and the grenade was thrown in front of me as to not hit the boss.
Edit: I figured u/engineeeeer7 wouldn’t read this because he only has interested in his own beliefs and experiences. He is unable to be objective without being condescending. Then blocks and ignores when corrected.
Imo mataidoxia is made for prismatic not strand. Just an access point for suspend into prismatic warlock. I would pair this with bleak watcher and hellion aspect to get a great mix of crowd control and damage fragments haven’t really seen or thought about but I’m gonna start using bad juju for super energy and because pulse buff segwaying that into song of flame
After about year or two I’m getting back into the game I want to continue arena but my current build seems to not be enough anymore last time I got arena warrior title which is 100 wins without losing once now I can’t win a single fight what’s the best builds for PvP and PvE so I can get my level up
I saw a hie with cupids bow that thing can infinite combo brutally I would say farm cupids dungeon fir now and look at other people's builds, then learn the meta out of that because the game changed in 2 years with many buffs and nerfs
I don't know if it's the best but I know pika v2 (obtained through ponyglephs found in second sea) is among the best for pvp and pve
Hey guys, I'm predominantly a PvE player but I've been dipping my toe into PvP with the last event. I need to edit my build for PvP obviously so was wondering if there's a particular website or youtuber who's builds are overall well rated. Thanks all xxx
So glad to see more longtime PvE players deciding to get into PvP! Welcome to the fray. :)
[TL;DR: Pick a class, range (at range, melee, or mixed), and dominant resource pool (mag or stam) and then go poking around on YouTube and browser searches for a variety of builds using that to see what you like most, and give it a shot. Thanks to the fact that rewards of the worthy crates now drop really good Transmute crystals, PvPers can now theorycraft and playtest lots of builds pretty readily without having to do 5-12 daily dungeons.]
In answer to your quesiton: As a PvP sweat, I go looking for other builds online often for inspiration for my own builds or to try out a new class or playstyle. There are *lots* of builds on YouTube and many other websites, but many of these don't always measure up. (For example: Alcast's builds for PvP are almost all non-viable or perform poorly.) Your best bet is to poke around, find something you think you'd like, and get an honest and trustworthy PvP friend to tell you if it sounds like it would work or not. (Caveats because, sometimes there are ego-driven sweats who insist on using only whatever's most broken/overpowered.)
I would say there's no one singlular place I would reliably point people to go to for PvP builds for many reasons, but if for no other reason than that unlike PvE builds, PvP builds are very personalized to a given player's playstyle.
In PvE, what's most effective is going to remain most effective absent a revolutionary set or a major shift in rebalancing skills. Relequen's, Whorl of the Depths, and Pillar of Nirn are staples and will remain so. Setups are optimized for damage output down to the enchantments, and rotations are largely to be copied and executed as best as possible to the letter while coordinating with your group to deal with mechanics.
In PvP, however, there's no one boss, mechanic, or way to build. In fact, nobody is holding taunt on the big scary Dragonknight coming for your forehead, and there's no guarantee that the healer will be able to save you. That means that you need to build somewhat tanky and with your own heals even as a damage dealer. Likewise, healers are preferred targets to take out, and so they have to build even more into survivability than damage dealers (most often). HOW you do this is up to you, and there are many different setups that can be effective. What's 'meta' in PvP isn't the end-all-be-all, and it frequently shifts based on what most or many other players are doing, what class tweaks have been made to rebalance, etc.
In fact, off-meta builds often perform just as well as meta builds in overland content and battlegrounds because your more experienced and/or skilled opponents don't necessarily know what your build is, how it works, and how to beat it. They likely have seen the meta build and varieties of it for, say, Magsorc or Magden for that patch a bazillion times and can expect and deal with those builds' burst windows more readily. Doesn't make overpowered builds/class setups less broken, but it does make them more predictable.
So how do you tell a good PvP build from a crappy one? More importantly, how do you tell if a build is a good PvP build *for you*? Best advice I can give is to look for these things and ask these questions (and others like them):
- Take a look at the stats when fully buffed (not including Balorgh's, if used). I made a post on some good rule-of-thumb stats to aim for here
- Ask yourself questions like: How is the damage being dealt? Is the damage output reliant on a complicated series of procs? Is it all about burst damage? How long do you have to wait to get your burst in? Is it lots of dot pressure? Can you sustain that playstyle? Do you think you'll enjoy that playstyle?
- Is the build reliant on other players doing something specific or giving you certain buffs? Are the oh-so-awesome clips being made with other players consistently fighting alongside the person showing off the build or is there a mix of solo and group play? Will you likely use the build in the same way and have the same kind of group (if applicable)?
- Is the build reliant on CP? If so, are you planning on using it primarily in battlegrounds or no-CP Imperial City or Cyrodiil? If so, can you tweak the build to make it work for no-CP environments?
Keep in mind that some builds are very situational or better used in certain circumstances, and may not do as well in others. (For example, a ganker in Imperial City will perform well there, but may struggle in battlegrounds, and definitely in a large keep fight in Cyrodiil.)
Dude these comments are really good, and very much advice I give to people too!
Wish I could upvote twice.
Any newbies reading this: this is absolutely pvp 101.
Thank you so much! This is all super helpful information! Perhaps we will see each other on the battlefield 😄
Yeah I wish we could add this post to some guide, pin, or bot. I don’t really know how reddit works but this is info that could be copy and pasted on a lot of posts and help people out.
Build videos are so hard to watch. It's the gaming equivalent of "this could have been an e-mail."
Eh. I get it both ways to be honest. Most often, I want to see some evidence (the montage/gamplay clips) of how the build plays before trying it or something like it, and sometimes the build video has good caveats or 'how-to-use' combos. Having seen many-a-build, though, unless I don't recognize the combo or playstyle or something else about it, I often skip to see what race, food, mundus, curse (if any) and sets are being run and can usually piece the rest together. But then, that's from an experienced eye. I'm sure the videos are more useful for those just getting into it. They certainly were for me when I first started.
What kind of build you want will depend on your class and playstyle. It might be worth watching a few streamers to see which playstyle matches your own/looks fun. Or at least look at the section of the build video showcasing in combat usage, the builds are often specialised on how the content creator plays and you might not get the same mileage out of it. That said, Malcolm, Decimus Emanthe chosen, Epicbuttkikr, Sekaar have good builds. The gameroom and gloomfrost have beginner friendly/niche builds
Oops, that would have been good to post 😂 I'm a Stamden at the moment. Based on Hack the Minotaur's Bowserker.
I'm currently working on learning to weave and very hesitantly thinking about using second bar. I'm not a natural at the more complex parts of the game, far more casual, but I'm eager to learn. Just might take time 😄
