To me the cartridge thing is important!
If I'm buying a physical game...I want to be able to play it without having to download it from the internet. I want to be on a road trip, see stop at a store, see a game I really want that I didn't know was released on the Switch 2, pop it in my system and play it!
I don't want to have to wait until I have a Wi-Fi connection for the game to download before I can play it.

He just states facts here. The only cards available for third party publishers is 64GB and they are quite expensive, I think it's $14 for one and that's not counting Nintendos cut.

Most of the third party games that came out for Switch 2 is a game key cards with only a few exceptions, so no Nintendo needs to fix it's shit.

2 new Knight Heroes and a melee weapon since the last post, for a total of 5 of them. I tried to make them all powerful enough to rival BFTP and TRO builds. You'll swap between weapons a lot with them. Are they too strong? Too weak?

Swamp Knight and Black Knight Garridan also added to the Knight subtype, because, well, duh. 7 total to pick and choose!

  1. This would totally powercreep Bullet Storm Jonesy. Also the activation and deactivation requirements are very weird. All the time limit does is make you shoot a bullet every 5 seconds to keep the stacks alive and removing stacks by ADSing would be very annoying.
  2. This team perk is strange. What exactly does "while switching between a Melee Weapon and a Ranged Weapon" mean? Ability damage doesn't really make any sense since you need weapon kills to activate it and the Crit Rating directly treads on TROs toes. This entire perk just seems like a harder to activate and worse TRO.
  3. I like this perk, but i think it should be split in two. One for Armor (22/66) and one for the Melee Damage (15/30 Melee CR, 17%/50% Damage + 50% Crit Damage in Lead)
  4. Question about the 6th perk, why does it have different damage values? Does it stack or how does it work?
  5. Combining Ability and Melee Damage is really weird. The only time you use the 2 together is with Goin' Constructor Black Knight builds (which i think should be changed btw, i don't like the "get x weapon kills to reduce cooldown" heroes, i think a flat cooldown like Spitfire is much better), and this weapon can't do that because it's an axe. All this would really do is make you use Ability Damage Heroes as better Melee Damage heroes, which i guess is kinda unique. Also how would specific Ability Boosts work, like Minigun damage or Plasma Pulse damage?
  6. Oathfire support damage should be increased to 60
  7. This is a very strange concept. Fragment Generation Heroes automatically suck if TEDDY can't activate them, TEDD Shot Jess proves that; but then you have the explosion, which is pretty strong; but it's tied to Melee, which Outlanders aren't very good at, and other classes can't use it. Meaning that you'd probably only ever use this in a highly specialised build, as normal TEDDY builds will just prefer to run Fragment Flurry and AFK. It reminds me of how Lynx has a great ranged weapon buff (she hovers too high to Melee Enemies), but it's tied to a Ninja Ability so (outside MSK) it's pretty bad. Honestly i think he should just do what Red Knight does but for Shotguns and Clubs, either that or tie the melee outlander aspect to Phase Shift, since Fragment Abilities already have very defined Loadouts and Playstyles; and Phase Shift Builds are really close range.
  8. Reduce the damage bonus to 22%/65%, in line with Buccaneer Jonesy and Swashbuckler Keelhaul and add the "vice versa" to the support version. I think only needing one hero to buff both weapon types would make that playstyle a lot better to use

Overall i don't really get the concept of this set. Is it Ability buffs Melee? Is it Ranged and Melee? (that'd be pretty cool, i'd help expand on Jonesy and Keelhaul) I think there's too many ideas being thrown around here, this entire set is pretty unfocused.

  1. Maybe so! He's supposed to have a slightly intentional awkwardness to activating it compared to Bullet Storm Jonesy at the cost of being stronger, ADSing is, well, crucial! I thought of Crackshot while making him too, high unstability (though not affecting your Weapon Stability/Recoil directly). The "Emptying your magazine" is just to put some sort of skill cap on it, since it's NOT removed on Weapon Switch, you forgot to switch weapons and did the reload animation? Boom. Buff gone. Though maybe some sort of aditional nerf would be good
  2. I think I worded it a bit bad and forgot to add a time window, but you basically need to get 4 kills in a set amount of time with both a Melee and a Ranged weapon, 2 for each, in no particular order. Ability damage comes on later! I tried giving Ability Damage some love in general, though the Team Park was PROOOBABLY my weakest part. Would you swap crit rating for anything else?

  4. That's just weapon tier scaling! 5% at a Copper weapon, 10% at a Silver one, 15% Malachite, etc. Just for flavor, really, since it'd be always maxed out.
  5. It really is! And it's somewhat the point I made the set with the goal of trying to give some ability damage options (and promoting melee-ranging to classes that normally wouldn't, all heroes are REAAAALLY supposed to keep switching between Axecalibur to snatch a kill, using the amped up scaling it has with Ability Damage, maybe throw an ability or two, and then swapping back to your other weapon of choice, so you get a small steroid!). Just increased % damage for all abilities that actually DO deal damage. Wanna do an extra 25% damage with Goin' Commando? Just whack a huskling with it and boom.
  6. I'm not opposed to it, but why? It's slightly more damage than Wukong's Support perk, I guess it IS melee AND Axe-locked... But you get to use a souped up "crits cause explosions in a 0.5 tile" perk while freeing armageddon/argon axe/supersonic slasher a perk slot option, or just giving the ability for other Axes to do the same. Wouldn't even more damage be OP?
  7. It is! I thought how we didn't have any directly hit-and-run MELEE outlander playstyle (do not say Seismic Smash builds), And Oathsworn Raptor gets rewarded for GOING IN a little, he has to risk himself a little more, but there's more upside to it. Though yeah, maybe switching it to be more Phase Shift base could make more sense, but I just really like the idea of Jily + Oathsworn, for example, multiple enemies are tagged, you... I don't know, use the Fishing Hook and SPIIIIN, boom, explosions.
  8. True, honestly. But I like the souped up support damage since you don't get further pairings like the pirates do (Jack's Revenge/Corsair)

The knights are meant to SPECIFICALLY offer a wide array of decent buffs to pretty much anything! Omega Knight is for Assault Weapons + Other ranged weapons, but it's specified as OVERALL weapon damage so you can benefit from Axecalibur's bonuses too! Scrapknight Jules and Blue Squire Renegade are mostly melee-only. Red Knight is DIRECTLY Melee + Assault, and Raptor has his own little melee-AOE niche. The whole set (minus Renegade, I guess) is incentivizing you to keep swapping stuff around, and benefiting exponentially from it! Also there's WAAY to little Ability Damage buffing. Azalea's Energy-Only, and Willow's too wonky to use.

Raptorian the Brave - Buffs Shotguns and Clubs by 22%/66%
Red Knight - Melee Eliminations stack Oathfire (up to 4), which deals 15/30 base Energy Damage for every stack in a 1 Tile Area the next time you get a Ranged Elimination. Commander Perk causes Affliction (15 Energy Damage for 1 Second. Extra Stacks increase Affliction Duration.)

Ninjas:

Swashbuckler Keelhaul [Rework] - Buffs Pistols and Swords by 22%/66%
Blue Squire - Buffs SMGs and Axes by 22%/66%
Eternal Knight - Buffs Snipers and Spears by 22%/66%
Duelist Sandstorm - Getting 5/3 Melee Eliminations in 5 Seconds will reload all of your currently equipped Ranged Weapons. Lead: Gain 100% extra Headshot damage for your first ranged hit after the perk triggers.

Constructors:

Omega Knight - Buffs Explosives and Hardware by 22%/66%
Scrap Knight Jules - B.A.S.E. grants 15/30 Melee CR, 17%/50% Damage + 50% Crit Damage in Lead

Team Perk:

Requires: 2 Knight or Pirate Heroes

Eliminating an Enemy with a Ranged Weapon grants 40 Melee Weapon Crit Rating, 30% faster Swing Speed and 15% Melee Life Leech for 15 Seconds

Eliminating an Enemy with a Melee Weapon grants 60% increased Headshot Damage, 50 Armor and 60% Weapon Stability for 15 Seconds

These stats can probably be tweaked, but this is the core idea.

Pretty sure I didn't miss any bosses! Could be wrong though; might be one or two out there I forgot to get before Act 3.

Curious y'all's thoughts!
I took into account A) The fight itself, B) Runbacks, and C) The Rewards of said Boss Fight.

Generally:
S - Peak Fight; one of my favorites for various reasons

A - Really good fight; one or two nitpicks with it or it's an early fight with not a huge amount going on, but fun nonetheless

B - Solid Fight. A couple nitpicks, but wouldn't mind fighting again. Or, in the case of Voltvyrm, the trinket is really god damn good (using >!Shaman!< Crest currently).

C. - Disliked the Fight for various reasons. Would not want to fight again if I could help it.

Savage Beastfly - Savage Beastflies. Ranked the 2nd one higher cause I got a random bug that caused my boomerang to instantly kill him like 15 seconds into the fight. That and the reward is better than the Beast Crest.

**EDIT - Seeing alot of opinions on Forebrothers being lower; and looking back I agree I should've put them at a B rather than C. For me they would be an A, if not for the additional enemies that are spawned before you get to fight the duo fight. Those enemies aren't tough by any means, but for me it's the principle of just let me fight the actual boss. If the boss spawns enemies as part of a regular mechanic, that's fine; it feels like part of the fight.
However if the game makes me fight a mini gauntlet or additional enemies before I get to actually fight the boss in proper, it just feels like a slog. I really liked fight them as a Duo; what I didn't like was having to slog through the first two waves of ads before I got to fight the actual full boss. There are a few bosses that got dropped down for that, namely Broodmother and Groal.
I know some folks don't mind it; it has just gotten really old for me at this point. I wanna fight the boss, not the extra little gauntlet before the boss every time.
(Act 3 Spoiler) >!The exception to this is Skarrsinger Karmalita - Her fight was SO good that it overpowered the mini gauntlet; but that gauntlet definitely didn't add to the fight imo.!<

Kind of feels weird to me to have Great Conchflies and Raging Conchfly in the same tier, just because I feel like the latter is so much more epic, but both fights are indeed really good.

Also, I can't see Fourth Chorus being higher than Grand Mother Silk personally.

Forebrothers Signis and Gron should also be at least A tier IMO, that was a cool boss concept and a solid fight.

Other than that I largely approve of this tier list (although I personally didn't think Savage Beastfly 1 was that bad.)

They were super passive in their second phase. The idea of them probably gets rated higher than the actual execution. When the boss just stands there for 1-2 seconds and lets you hit them without response (because it's the other one's turn to act), it kinda falls flat.

Agreed on all your points here, Grand mother silk should be in S even if its a tad easy. The forebrothers are for sure better than C even if thr adds are annoying.

The only other change I’d make is I though broodmother was horrible and would probably put it on par with the beastflies.
