New to reddit and I know nothing about reddit.
Need some interesting subreddits that I can enjoy and also gain new info.
Any kind of group is welcome I do t care about controversial news and have no problem with rants and hate against governments.
r/worldnews
Once upon a time but not these days.
r/anime_titties, I think.
LMFAO what the hell? I genuinely thought you were trolling but then I checked it and its actually sub about news. Lmao what a wild name for a sub about news. Caught me off-guard.
I like trolling around with those sub names XD
I love being on r/OnlyFans too, the stuff there gets me all worked up. Almost as much as r/dragonporn

So far I subscribe to this and r/fednews. Any other good ones?
r/prepping4democracy is new, but very promising
r/Disastro is a newer sub I’ve really enjoyed following
Maybe not quite what you are looking for, but this blog consolidates daily world wide news articles about the economy and environment. What’s happening around the world has ripple effects on America. It’s always good to keep an eye on it.
r/collapse
I like r/CredibleDefense for military stuff (lots of conflicts around the world) and r/CosmopolitanNews for like a condensed version of /r/worldnews
Is there a reddit page for current affairs in India and the world as well? It could be from economy to geopolitical relations to finance etc. Anything that can keep me updated on the news and related discussions providing peoples perspective to it as well.
Thanks!
Apologies, it is not necessarily gurgaon related, didn’t know which other sub to post.
r/indianews
r/anime_titties
What even is that name, almost had me at first. Thanks
Man that page is best for all the current information.
Lol, same
Most perspectives on reddit are uninformed
What subreddit/YT channels are there that update daily with good news? All the doom and gloom is getting boring, looking for something to balance it out
r/upliftingnews
I’m a very pragmatic person and like to stay informed, but these last couple weeks have been horrendous as most of you know. There are still good people doing good things in the world everyday, and I’d really like some forums and subreddits where I can be more exposed to it. Lord help us.
Thank you!!
r/capybara - Cute capybaras being capybaras. The most chill creatures ever.
“Caaaapybara.. CAPYBARA! Capybara capybara capybara capybara…”
thank you!
Oh this is great. Timeline cleanse
R/dogsusingpillows is my eye bleach du jour!
Added!
This is incredibly niche but on the stray cats subreddit I’ve been following the updates of a man who rescued a cat named “Sadcat”. Over the past month or so, this little guy has been adapting to indoor life, learning to trust humans, bit by bit, it’s absolutely heartwarming to see. He now has his own subreddit r/sad_cat!
No this is adorable, thank you!
I always have a good time at /r/thesimpsons because even “snarky” replies come in a form of a gif or quote. :) it’s probably one of the nicest subs.
Thanks!
I wonder if there is no USA subreddit because they just assume all of reddit is USA subreddit?
I think r/news is mostly USA articles. As is r/politics
Politics in other counties is removed from r/politics as it’s US only…
As is r/worldnews
I’m sure there is but I bet that individual state subreddits are more active. New York is so different to Ohio for example that it just makes sense to post more in your state’s sub
That sub is a really odd mix of nice photos of the Lake District and Daily Express level current affairs. I do comment there though, to try and balance things out a bit
To be honest CasualUK has declined just a bit in the last year or so since it's grown a lot in users.
People still keep trying to sneak that big rule violation into conversation and mods do their job but get around to it a bit late at times.
Still though, very active mod team. They even clamp down on the generic complaints as to not turn us into a shit hole sub like r/britishproblems or r/britishsuccess which I remember as having daily posts aimed directly at the USA's lack of free healthcare.
r/de has 2.2m members, much more than r/Germany.
There's 2.3m in this sub too, does that make Brits first and fourth?
It's not limited to nationalities. Pretty much any subreddit with a wide, vague subject matter is a total fucking cesspit. Basically, anything Reddit recommends when you first join, which means the worst of the worst and dumbest of dumb are going to see it and join.
Gaming, music, movies, guitar, art, sport, etc.etc. If you want a lot of misinformation, cold takes, toxicity and people arguing about things they're all objectively wrong about, head on over to a subreddit with a subject so large in scope that it's barely a dedicated sub.
Bear in mind /r/CasualUK was created in the first instance to get away from /r/unitedkingdom; It was (and remains) That awful a place!
On the official reddit app right now CasualUK has a #3 in places in europe link at the top, after Europe and UnitedKingdom subs. CasualUK's had a real impact. It was great to finally find a sub where formalwear wasn't required.
I don't really care to see a story about everytime Trump farts.
I personally go to a subreddit I like, then click on the top 5 or 10 poster user profiles in that sub to see what other subs they're active in.
I've surprisingly found some good ones that way.
Oh that's a good strategy.
Yes, it's also great for boredom lol
I ask Google, "Does Reddit have a sub for <insert keywords>?" It's usually pretty good.
Sure. There's a search bar. Works great.
Also
r/ListOfSubreddits
and
r/findasubreddit
Thanks a lot (The search bar is terrible though)
r/wowthissubexists
Personally, I just search for keywords related to topics I'm already interested in. Then, when the results come up, click on the Communities tab to see a list of subreddits that discuss that topic.
Hi everyone (fauxmies??)!
Given recent events, we expect there to be an increase in political content shared in this community! For any newer members who are not familiar with past precedent on the sub, we do want to clarify that we have always allowed political content to be posted here; as the sub description states, this is a gossip/pop culture sub, and that includes anything that is part of the cultural zeitgeist — including politics!
That being said, we will be introducing the 'State of Affairs' weekly discussion thread, which will be posted and pinned every Tuesday at 8AM PST/11AM EST. This will be a place for the community to discuss any political content: local, regional, national or international!
Please keep in mind that this does not mean that we are banning political posts — the mods will still approve political posts that may need more visibility! We will just be funnelling more repetitive or less zeitgeist-y posts to the weekly discussion thread!
(PS: We will also be introducing a new comic/meme weekly thread, so if anyone has any thread name suggestions, please drop them in the comments!)
To get a breakdown of all our discussion thread schedules, click here, and for all other questions, check out our FAQ page! We are also sharing the weekly discussion thread schedules below for anyone who needs them!
Thank you all for hearing us out and hope you're having a great week!

You can find weekly discussion threads pinned at the top of the sub; all threads are posted at 8AM PST/11AM EST!
Monday: 'I Have Tea On' weekly discussion thread, for users to share any tea they may have (usually for tea that is personal or anecdotal ex. 'I met x celebrity', and/or tea that is not substantial enough or confirmed enough to warrant its own separate post).
Tuesday: 'State of Affairs' weekly discussion thread, for users to discuss any political content: local, regional, national or international.
Wednesday: 'FauxWorld Wednesdays' monthly discussion thread, for users from all over the globe to highlight and discuss tea or general gossip from their home country/town/part of the world.
Thursday: 'Does Anyone Have Tea On' weekly discussion thread, for all requests for 'tea' or 'gossip' on a specific person and/or general gossip discussion.
Friday: 'Free For All Friday' weekly discussion thread, a general discussion thread for users to post about their casual celebrity thoughts, things that don't fit on the other tea threads, or any content that may not warrant its own stand-alone post.
Sunday: 'Serotonin Sundays' weekly discussion thread, a thread for users to discuss the latest wholesome or positive things they've seen/heard lately — celebrity related or not!
We also have live discussion threads/megathreads for events such as awards shows (ex. Oscars, Emmys, Grammys), the Met Gala, the Superbowl, elections, etc — you can see which events are coming up in the sidebar of our subreddit under 'Community Calendar'.
Sounds good!
Just for clarification so I follow the rules, celebrity-related content is ok for their own posts, correct?
And purely non-celeb political discussion goes in State of Affairs?
Yes that’s right! However, some celebrity related political content might be removed as low effort or repetitive and redirected to the weekly thread (for example, a post about a celebrity who everyone already knows supports x political affiliation rubbing shoulders with politicians of x political affiliation)
ETA: Also wanted to add that some purely non-celeb political discussion might be allowed as its own post depending on the content, especially given that there is currently a lot of overlap between celebrity figures and politicians 🙃
Can we stop with the old fashion posts? It has nothing to do with current celebrity gossip/zeitgeist. I feel like these start to take over pop culture related subs and it strays from the purpose— which is to talk about what’s going on now.
eh i really love retrospective posts personally.
There should be a diff sub for that then! It doesn’t fit into this sub
They remind me of those listicle slideshow articles that exist to drive more clicks and revenue. This ain’t Buzzfeed!
Thank you mods! Always appreciate you
Meme Moi (the comic/meme thread suggestion. how generic though lol)
Ooh how about moi meme? Since that’ll have the pun in French
Ok but why do I kind of love it though
Meme thread name suggestion - 'lol and, if I may, lmao'
My flair approves of this
Are there any interesting events going on around the FanFiction world? Any fandom is fine!
Looking for details and links to the different events going right now to compile a master list that people can refer to. I'm building a subreddit with information about fests going on in all fandoms.
You can also check the various spreadsheet over at https://thebigbangblogproject.tumblr.com/
They gather big bangs, bingos, reverse bangs and a smattering of overs. Mostly for the Supernatural fandom, but also has a smattering of others.
Thank you
fandomcalendar.dreamwidth.org has info about current/upcoming events
Thank you!
Can i?
