TL;DR Olive Garden offers several vegan-friendly options, including their famous breadsticks, minestrone soup, and customizable pasta dishes with marinara sauce and vegetables.
Breadsticks and Appetizers
The standout vegan option at Olive Garden is their breadsticks, which are surprisingly free from butter and cheese [1:1]
[5:4]. These can be enjoyed as part of the unlimited deal or taken to go
[1:6], making them a popular choice among vegans. Additionally, the minestrone soup is vegan-friendly and provides a hearty appetizer
[2:2].
Pasta Dishes
For main courses, Olive Garden offers a variety of vegan pasta options. You can customize your dish by choosing plain pasta (excluding gluten-free varieties) and pairing it with marinara sauce and garden veggies [3:2]
[4:2]. Some diners suggest bringing your own vegan cheese to enhance the meal
[1:3]. If you dislike tomato-based sauces, consider bringing your own vegan sauce or opting for oil and vinegar
[4:4].
Salads
The house salad can be made vegan by omitting croutons and cheese and choosing oil and vinegar dressing instead of the traditional Italian dressing [1:2]
[3:3]. While some diners hope for a cheese-free Italian dressing option in the future
[1:4], customizing the salad remains a viable option.

What’s this dish here?
Cavatappi pasta, marinara and garden veggies~ also had a small bowl of the minestrone which is also vegan. The salad is vegan if you omit the croutons and cheese, and opt for oil and vinegar dressing.
I used to love their salads. Hopefully they offer an Italian dressing sin cheese soon.
I might bring my own parm next time, should be easy enough to shave some violife and put it in a small container; but yeah would be awesome if they offered vegan cheese!
What breadsticks?
Olive Garden breadsticks. They also give them to go
The real success is the fact that their breadsticks are vegan!
Ummm wait what
Why have i not known this
Right? I was shocked to learn. I thought for sure they had cheese and butter.
Whaaaaaat! Amazing!
Ha , we just went there for lunch and were amazed at how much we could eat !
That unlimited deal tho

Pasta with marinara sauce, and you can ask for mushrooms and broccoli. The breadsticks are vegan friendly as well!
LET ME TELL YOUUUU... I have a weak, sad soft spot for Olive Garden and I absolutely adore the breadsticks. As someone also mentioned, you can eat pasta with marinara sauce and also the minestrone soup. I also ask for the salad without the usual Italian dressing and croutons, and ask for oil and vinegar on the side.

Enjoy!!
Check their website. They make it simple to identify the vegan foods
BREADSTICKS!
Here’s some info for you: https://chooseveg.com/blog/so-a-vegan-walks-into-olive-garden/
https://m.olivegarden.com/nutrition/vegetarian-and-vegan-options
Nothing too exciting, but there are options. Personally I can’t say no to breadsticks!
Every website says pasta with marinara and also breadsticks but I hate tomatoes with a passion
Olive Garden is fairly vegan-friendly if you like tomatoes/tomato sauces, unfortunately for me lol.
APPETIZERS:
- Breadsticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Minestrone Soup (has tomatoes)
- House salad; no croutons or cheese, no dressing OR oil & vinegar OR sneak in your own :) (has grape tomatoes but can pick those off)
ENTREES:
- All of their plain pasta is vegan except for the gluten-free kind (make sure to ask for no butter just in case). Their marinara and tomato sauce is vegan, and you can also add garden veggies on top. (garden veggies have tomatoes, but can pick those off). You could also try and sneak in your own vegan pasta sauce if you don't like tomatoes.
- They also have steamed broccoli, which is vegan. You could ask them to put it on your pasta.
DESSERTS:
Only their raspberry sauce lol. You could lick it off the plate if you really like raspberries.
Trick question, nothing at Olive Garden besides the bread sticks is legally considered food at all. If you do want to torture yourself they have an official list of vegan and vegetarian options.
Before zooming in: wow! More vegan options than I expected!
What I got: raspberry sauce.
You're right, only the bread sticks.
I've looked through, and they have a couple decent vegan options, but almost all of them require liking tomatoes/tomato sauce (which of course is the ONEfood I don't like). I think I'm going to get plain pasta and sneak a vegan sauce in or just eat something more substantial when i get home. Might also get the garden veggies and pick tomatoes off. I'm gonna make a comment with what I found in case anyone is googling it or something LOL
Don’t go. Or eat before you go. But seriously just don’t even go, get the omnis you’re going with to find another other crappy chain restaurant- basically all of them have more choices
Yeah I’m just gonna tell my 10 year old sister she can’t go to Olive Garden for her birthday like she wants to because I’m vegan /s
Really? I love going to Olive Garden. They have the create your own pasta option, and I get pasta+marinara+veggies (at least I think that’s the combo). Super yummy, a really good portion size, and I believe it’s low cal too (I honestly think it’s below 500 cal, but make sure to check online). Gives me room to eat more breadsticks too (;
Edit: I realized that I might’ve come off kind of condescending, so I’m sorry! I just wanted to share some other options that some people might not know about, since I personally find it difficult to find stuff to eat.
Yes! Here is their site for vegan options with a PDF spelling out what is vegan
I wanted the pasta (I believe only 350 cals for the noodles, plus marinara and veggies) but I'm trying to really cut down and wanted that unlimited soup lol
Lol I totally get that! Olive Garden is actually really good about having vegan options that taste good. And thanks for sharing that PDF!
Also you didnt come off as condescending! Though I relate to that struggle I always feel like I'm being a dick in comments
I didn't know the breadsticks were vegan! Don't they use butter?
According to their website, they are indeed vegan!
:O
Whyyy have you poisoned me with this information
Usually it’s oil. However you can ask for them without, as I do because it’s less greasy and obviously less cals. Even without salt if you want
No offense but I'd rather die
Update: went and enjoyed! My server was also vegan! Hell yeah
I get spaghetti with marinara and asked them to add peppers and onions.
So true, this gives me PTSD.
I'll only be truly happy in life once they make their original salad dressing vegan. Figure it out OG!!
I know there’s a good amount of vegan restaurants around Orlando, but are there any places that aren’t explicitly vegan that have a noteworthy dish?
The moderne has great vegan bao made with fried mushrooms that is incredible.
Also another mention for Kres. They have a large and amazing vegan menu.
Piggza has a good vegan pizza.
Not Orlando, per se, but Salt & Cellar at the Ette hotel on 192 has some solid and creative vegan options. As previously mentioned: Kres Chophouse Vegan “Creamy” Ramen from Jinya is on point if you’re ok with franchise/chains Eola General Vegan Sunrise Bagel or Vegan Everything w/ Vegan Cheddar-pimento-jalapeño cream cheese Vegan empanadas from Black Bean Deli 🤤
🤦 so much for formatting
Both Jiko and Sanna at Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge have good vegan options.
Any Indian restaurant will have as well.
Kres Chophouse is a high end steak spot downtown but they have a really good vegan menu as well, haven’t had anything bad there
Kres is 🔥
My wife loves the vegan options at Thrive on Orange Avenue downtown. And I really like their steak dishes.
Any Create your own pasta with any pasta or sauce combination should be fine save the meat sauce. Eggplant parm, minestrone, salad, plain fettuccine Alfredo. 5 cheese Ziti. All desserts.
Lasagna is pre-prepared with meat so that's a no go - only mention it because a lot of guests asked if it could be prepared meatless or pork less. No go on both.
The lasa fritta should count if your get marinara instead of meat sauce, right?
Yes, there's no meat in the fritta - as long as you request marinara you'll be fine
Find the answer Is Olive Garden Halal?
Veggies
For an app I’d suggest the stuffed ziti- there is rennet in the cheese so if you care go for the spinach dip. For soup, minestrone. The salad= fine.
For entrees, anything with a V, or the 5 cheese ziti but the 5 cheese ziti has rennet in the cheese. The eggplant parm is a topical favorite.
All desserts are fine!
Thank you so much 😊

This is quite literally the best dish i have ever had at olive garden in my life. They need to make this with every protein and a constant on the menu.
They actually do have the option to get it with crispy or grilled chicken as well :)
That sounds amazing!! I’m pescatarian so I got it without the steak tips but thinking about all the other meat options olive garden offers got me excited. Honestly they should also just put the sauce on the create your own menu
Idk why but asparagus and salmon sound really tasty with that dish.
Just had it tonight and I thought it was very good.
Twin i had it again last night
Try it with chicken. It’s best with chicken!!! Mm! Chicken!!
Breaded or grilled :3
How long will they have this???
Says until August 25
I tried it last night also. The dish is great and reminds me of pre-Covid OG when they were always coming out with new creative dishes. I hope they keep this and keep coming out with more.
I work at olive garden and i’ve pretty much had everything on the menu but of course I forget what everything tastes like. I get the free employee meals but everything is starting to taste really bland but something about it makes me keep eating it. I think it’s cuz i mostly order the lasagna fritta though and it sort of tastes like nothing.. I don’t know if i’m just getting used to OG but can anyone recommend me some entrees to eat or something off the CYO menu!
My favorite is the chicken and shrimp carbonara, haven’t gotten sick of it yet. If you like seafood, I get a base of pasta, red pepper, and spinach with scampi sauce and a side of salmon chopped up in it. Maybe sounds a bit weird but it’s tasty.
Side salmon. It’s $4.88 with our 50% discount. Put it on top of a mixture of spinach/kale and throw some onions in. Get a scoop of the pepperoncini juice and pour on top. Add some balsamic and you’re ballin’ on a budget. Healthy also.
That sounds delicious.
Chicken margherita 😫
everything is garbage tbh
Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. But those bastards at the corporate level took it off the menu.
